Today, my mom and I came in because she wanted to find a foundation. Ideally, we just wanted to take sample containers to try out at home since my mom is acne prone but they insisted on “helping.” A worker is called to assist us named Cesar, does not say hello or really acknowledge us, takes his device and invasively scans my moms forehead and cheek with it without asking or even telling us what he’s doing. Then he proceeds to take us to three spots and grabs the samples without asking my mom’s feedback or shade matching on her hand or skin, he just went by what his device said. The foundation he picked was ORANGE. I got the vibe of his aggressive energy and we decided it would be best to ask somebody else after. My mom tested the foundation and it was way off. So, we asked a lady to grab us a sample container for a lighter shade, and the rude worker comes back to us after he notices us getting help from someone else and rudely says “you can only take 3 samples. Sorry.” And tries to stop my mom. She explains what he picked was too dark and she wanted to exchange it for a lighter one (she was honestly TOO nice) and he insisted he was correct and continued to gaslight my mom into thinking she was picking out foundation that was too light. One she grabbed was in fact too light, but she wanted to test it, and as soon as she did he literally went “see,” and started to correct my moms blending technique. I literally work at Ulta and my mom worked at a makeup counter for years and we know makeup and how to shade match. This man was extremely rude and had no boundaries. When I test foundation on people I take my time and help them with compassion. He also had no knowledge that foundation oxidizes. We tried it on at home and the foundation was so dark, and we used a brush to blend. He made our experience so unpleasant and uncomfortable. It was so toxic. I will not be coming back to this location.

Products are great. HOWEVER..... Customer Service is absolutely terrible!!! The male cashier attended 3 clients at the same time he was ringing up my items. In the middle of his multiple transactions, I kindly interrupted his multi tasking cashiering to inform him that I had a 10% coupon code. And when he was having trouble finding my account with my phone number he made a self conclusion that my account simply did not exist and was reluctant to give me the discount because he couldn't find my account. He left me there waiting while he attended 3 more new customers at the register and then he FINALLY decided to call over the manager through his headset.....who then took another 4 minutes to arrive at the register . Needless to say my patience was already wearing thin. I had initially arrived at the store with a smile on my face and after all this unnecessary waiting, my smile was clearly dissipating. Once the manager was finally able to locate my account using my email, she decided to take advantage of the time and give the male cashier a quick training on how do properly apply such discount for future use. The male cashier then decided to sarcastically make a comment about the frustrated look I now had on my face . Seriously !!?? Honestly, never again will I bother coming to this location! Next time I will be sure to visit a different location where I know I can experience better customer service.

I had tried the Chance Chanel scent while in the store (International Plaza) and had forgotten to check if it was the EDT or EDP. I live an hour and a half away; the first time I called, a girl said that they usually have the EDT as the testers. Since it’s a $80+ product, ‘usually’ wasn’t really going to work. I called back the next day, and the worker started explaining to me that there are EDTs and EDPs….I kept telling her that I was aware of that and got they can differ, but she kept talking over me. She finally went and checked, and said that they had 3 different Chance fragrances out. I AGAIN told her that I was asking about the Classic one, not Fraîche, not the Tendre, the CLASSIC one that’s yellow. She eventually told me that was an EDP. Great. So I ordered it…and it didn’t remotely smell the same. So I called AGAIN, spoke to ANOTHER girl, and she told me that they’ve had both types out the entire time (which, they hadn’t). If it wasn’t such a simple question (see what’s on the shelf) about such an expensive product, I wouldn’t care. But this is just insane. I’ll be checking to see if Ulta carries this fragrance.

WORST. SEPHORA. EVER! Literally don’t even waste your time going into the store, buying online with free shipping is more convenient than being at THIS store! The rudest employees I’ve ever experienced in my life, I’ve been coming to the Sephora unfortunately for over 10 years and the employees keep becoming more rude and the customer “service” SUCKS. They follow you around the store almost like you’re a burden shopping there. Like I said, jumping down your throat while you’re just looking at products and sampling. If I said I don’t need help then I don’t need you to come ask me seven more times within 10 minutes if I’m OK. I know exactly where to get help if I need it and I will come find you if that’s the case. PLUS- everything is always out of stock. You could go here everyday for 2 weeks looking for a product they will never have in stock. One of the only sephoras in Tampa and somehow out of every product, ALL THE TIME. Please build another sephora that’s friendly to people of ALL KINDS especially for the natives.

Went there for an interview, dressed professional, was polite and qualified, and still didn’t get the position. I’m a Licensed Aesthetician, with cosmetics/makeup application being my specialty. The guy who interviewed me pretty much gave me the interview in the middle of the sales floor, it was rushed, seemed as if he didn’t want to be bothered with me, asked me questions about what colors go with brown eyes, etc. And that was that, didn’t really ask me about my professional background or anything else. I’m a Caribbean woman so I’m assuming that could be a potential reason why I wasn’t hired. They claim they don’t discriminate but in that specific store, the majority of employees are Hispanic and Caucasians.

I have never left a google review for anywhere but after going in to this Sephora today I wish i could give them negative stars. I have gone into this Sephora a few times and always feel that the sales people there are annoyed by people coming in to shop. I went in today to get ONE item, a contour stick. When I saw that the shade I was looking for was out of stock I looked around for assistance and when I finally saw someone walking towards me I smiled and said “Hi could you help…” as a hand was shot up into my face and she said ya I’m on break, I’ll grab someone else…. Then the person she sent me said “what do you want”.

I don’t normally post reviews but after my excellent customer service I received today at Sephora international plaza, I felt it couldn’t go unnoticed. I would like to thank Cesar for helping me pick out the right products as I was having trouble due to my extremely oily and textured skin. I also want to thank another gentleman that was helping me out today on 04/26. I wish I would have gotten his name but he specifically recommended a Dior backstage pink glow blush that I bought and absolutely love! Thank you so much for helping me and making my day less stressful ✨

This Sephora can get so packed with people like it's ridiculous they could let so many people go in there we do come here time to time when we do go shopping at this mall but every time we go we're squished with people oh and that line to check out is crazy like even if you're just getting one thing you'll have to wait in that line one thing is for sure though is when you go in that Sephora make sure you hold on to your kids because you can lose them in that store the only good time to go in that store is on school days but definitely not on the weekend.!!

My recent visit redeemed my faith in Sephora. Largely in part because Fernanda helped me so graciously. I had done my research and wanted some testers of tints and foundations. She was spot-on with the choice shades for my skintone. After trying most of the samples at least twice I purchased the Dior Forever Matte in 1CR. It's a near perfect match for me. *Dior oxidizes a bit, but this one is slight, not orange, just a tad deeper Thank You Fernanda <3 I hope to work with you again, and soon. My brows need to find the right color next. :-)

purchased ghd straightener which claims to be universal, used as directed in Europe and now it's broken! do not purchase any hot tools from them they will not honor any warranty because it's past 60 days and they claim they can't look it up. shop at Nordstrom and stores with actual customer service not these people . Nordstrom & ulta value their customers and guarantee their items.. shop from them and directly from beauty companies ONLY. Sephora does not care about their customers . I will never shop here again

I came to Sephora store today December 19/2023 at 4:05 pm to get a tarte lipstick employer a guy that speak Spanish came to me and scream at me like he’s my dad or something stop opening my items cause that’s disgusting I just told him my hands are clean ✌️ For me disgusting it’s are the items open and everyone can try that’s disgusting never ever go back to this disrespectful store where the employer don’t know how to try people

I honestly went in to smell the Lost Cherry but came out with something better thanks to the salesperson Joey. He asked what scents I prefer and I told him I love vanilla scents. Then he had a few vanilla scents that he wanted me to smell, we ran across one that I absolutely love I had to purchase right away. So thank you Joey for great customer service and your great list of vanilla scents. I will definitely enjoy this warm aroma.

Went today , was super packed but I was immediately greeted by shey ( spelling?) and helped by Kristina and Marquita . Those 3 women had to be the nicest Sephora employees I’ve ever met and I go a lot and have see the bad in other locations . Considering how busy it was , they never looked annoyed or bothered to help me with what I asked for . I hope they or their manager sees this and passes along my appreciation to them :)

Briana & Gandy were the BEST!! They was able to make me feel beyond comfortable with my basic knowledge of makeup. I had a horrible experience at another popular company and these girls were patient and understanding. Took time to make me feel comfortable. Andrea the MUA is awesome. She made me look like a true queen on wedding day. Everything was perfect about my makeup. She is so nice and caring and she explains what she is doing, I love a teachable moment. I highly suggest if you want your makeup done, Andrea is the BEST and extremely professional. My entire bridemaids also got makeup done,sephora made sure everyone had time and look flawless.

I’ve been a Sephora customer for over 10 years and I’ll never buy anything from here again. The condescending attitudes from the staff is wild. Almost like they think they’re on selling sunset and a camera crew is about to pop out. I used to love shopping here but unfortunately my recent experience with this store was awful. I didn't buy anything, I was doing a shopping order on doordash. I was about to give up after 3 minutes but then I found Jenna, asked for her help and she knocked out my whole list in 5 minutes. I don't like bothering people/ asking for help, but if it wasn't for her I would have canceled and left or taken over an hour on my own.

In store shopping $400 Tom Ford perfume. Sales attendant more worried about attending to three teenagers & the only thing I was asked was to put my perfume sample swabs in the box I didn’t see. No mention of “can I help you? Can I get something for you? Or to mention the sale. I won’t buy my perfume here. Terrible service.

Everytime I go to Sephora, I am usually assisted by Marquita in the skincare section. She’s so great at explaining any skincare product you’re thinking of getting and always has a welcoming attitude! I can always count on her to educate on any and all skincare products.

Fell in love with one of the tarte cosmetics unfortunately they did not have it available. One of the associates there was very nice and helped me find a close match in another brand. We left super happy. Everyone there is super friendly and seem so happy to be there!
