I've been a rouge member for 10yrs with over 8,500 points to date AND I never write reviews BUT this story must be told. My mom and I BOTH picked up the lancôme booster XL eye lash primer and we BOTH put them into our separate baskets. The Lacome booster XL eye lash primer was price displayed at $30, my mom goes FIRST to pay and the till registers the item for $43 plus tax. My mom and I went back to check the price and indeed the price was $30. We approached one of staff members on the floor who happened to be a team lead or manager who went by the name of Faye or Fidya (forgiven me I'm not sure on the spelling) who started off super nice, saying sorry this is an error and no problem come back up to the till and we will adjust the price difference. Now I go pay for my 3 items (one of them is the lancôme booster XL ) while my mother is getting her price adjustment, I say to Miranda (she/her) who is ringing my items through, now that Faye or Fidya is HERE adjusting my moms price on the lancôme booster you may want to ask her to help you adjust the price on mine. Not knowing this would turn into a BIG huge ordeal because Faya or Fidya is adamitt that she can't price adjust my lancôme boosters just my moms. Even-though, my mom is standing right beside me and Faye/ Fidya is still doing the price adjustment. She said I needed to pay $43 and not $30. I say you haven't adjusted the price yet on the floor so can't you just honour the price, right after me? she firmly says, No I can not, well then, I say I will go take a picture with my phone , will you honour the price then? she says , no it doesn't matter. Constant back and forth , while she's still ADJUSTING my moms price. ...like truly, she was making a point, standing firm on her decision. I understand the price display was a mistake but clearly you can not honour 2 lancôme adjustments?. literally at this point its the principal, the price displayed on the floor still says $30. Miranda (she/her) now decides to roll her eyes at me like I'm the idiot. Now my daughter goes and pays and I stand back because clearly I needed some time to unwind. My mom goes up with my daughter and begins to tell the incident to a new girl at the till, so now I go up and say its ok it doesn't matter lets pay and go home. This girl takes the time to listen and says that's not right let me call Taylor another manager/team lead on shift. These 2 , meaning Taylor and Im so sorry I didn't get your name? you two took the time to fix this mess . Taylor priced adjusted the lancôme booster at $30 with no hestation and Taylor noticed on my bill that I didn't receive my 4X times the points today. Miranda did you miraculously forget to give me my 4X times the points today because you were too busy rolling your eyes at me and forgot or was it done on purpose??? A BIG THANK YOU to the girl who actually cared and listened and in turn called Taylor! a BIG THANK YOU to you Taylor! This store needs to seriously retrain staff and managers on basic customer service skills. I understand the customer isn't always right but you can work together with some common sense and come to agreement. The 1 STAR goes out to Miranda and Faye/Fidya shame on you both. This incident happened on Saturday, June 24/2023 between 8:00pm- 8:45pm, store #514 , Sephora Chinook

I was shopping at the Chinook Sephora last week for purchasing 2 perfumes, at the time I entered the perfume section, there were other customers around the section checking out the perfumes and for like 5-7 mins there were no associates around that area, except for an associate who was helping a customer. Then there were 2 employees walked and were standing right next to where I was checking on the perfumes. They were keep starting at me, asked me if I need any help, understandable, it’s their job and I respectfully declined the offer. The section I was at, Jo Malone, the new bottles were locked and the displayed ones were almost empty. I was there trying the perfumes for like another 5-10 mins cause, taking breaks as I wanted to take some time for me to make the decision on which smell to go for, and the both associates never left that exact spot where I was standing. It was so uncomfortable and It’s not the 1st time I had this experience at this store, where I felt these employees judge the customers by look and think that I was going to steal, because I was a minority? Are Sephora customers being discriminated against the skin of Color? Like I said, this was the same experience I had every time I shopped there. And I would intentionally talk to the employees so they won’t judge me every time I visited there. But this time, what do I need help with, Spray the perfume on me? Seriously? So annoyed and the employees never left that spot until I purchased that perfume. Worst experience ever. I intended to buy 2 perfumes that day Maison Margiela & Jo Malone worth around $400, but ended up buying just one cause I am pretty sure, it’s not going to affect the company anyways but the time I spent to visit the store. Sephora teach your employees to pay respect to your customers.

Truly disgusted with my experience at the sephora in chinook. I went to pay for my cream with cash, and the worker immediately assumed my money was counterfeit. I'm not sure what reason there was for her to believe it was fake, but she called not just one, but three separate coworkers to come check that the cash I had handed to her was authentic. It was truly an embarrassing moment and I'm angered to think I would deal with such racism in this day and age. To be clear, I am brown skinned and was with a fellow brown skinned friend. After getting my money checked three times she gave me my change and said "sorry, I couldn't tell if it was real." Was that pathetic comment of hers suppose to be an excuse? I can maybe understand her wanting the money getting checked by one coworker, but having two others come check was definitely more than pushing it. I didn't catch her name, and it doesn't say on the receipt, but I hope she gets fired for her terrible racist behaviour and for the humiliation I received today. Second, I wasn't approached by any single worker despite there being countless workers, many glanced at me and my friend before going back to their conversations with each other instead of helping. At any other location I've always been helped as soon as I stepped into the store. You would think that at least one person would be able to help amongst the considerable number of workers there, especially since more than half of the workers were just talking to each other helping no one. The racial profiling I experienced today was not okay and I really hope this location does something about their workers.

My sister and her friend went to this store recently, and they had an unfortunate encounter at the counter. While trying to make a cash payment for a cream, there was a misunderstanding regarding the authenticity of the bill. The staff members called over a few colleagues to examine the cash, which made them feel uncomfortable and singled out. It is important to note that my sister and her friend are people of color. This incident left them feeling disappointed, as there was no visible indication that the bill was counterfeit. I believe that every customer should be treated with respect and given the benefit of the doubt, regardless of their appearance or background. It would be beneficial for the store to provide proper training to their employees regarding handling cash transactions, ensuring that such situations can be handled more discreetly and respectfully. I want to emphasize that I have visited this store multiple times in the past without facing any issues. However, this isolated incident has raised concerns about the level of sensitivity and professionalism exhibited by certain employees. It is my hope that the management takes this feedback seriously, reevaluates their hiring process, and provides ongoing training to their staff to prevent similar situations from occurring in the future. I believe in the importance of fostering inclusivity and fairness in retail spaces, and I hope that this store takes appropriate measures to address and rectify these issues, ensuring that all customers feel welcomed and respected.

I had the worst experience at Sephora chinook today, all thanks to one employee (her name is pilak or palak) who made my return process a nightmare. She was smiling when she called me in to her counter. But as soon as I approached the counter with my return, the employee gave me a disapproving look and let out a loud sigh. Instead of politely asking for my receipt or explaining the return policy, the employee rudely demanded to know why I was returning the product. When I told her that one of the staff told me thar if the concealer shade doesn’t match, I can always return it and I think the shade doesn’t match my skin tone”. She immediately told me “I know but where is the box?”. She “demanded” that I must return the original box as well, which I gave her. I also told her that I probably used apple pay. Then she gave me an instruction how to see the apple pay card number like I was illiterate. This used to be my favourite sephora store but I’ll never go back there. I’ve heard so many bad feedback about sephora employees but this is the first time i’ve experienced such terrible customer service at this store. I usually only give reviews if I get excellent service from an establishment. This is the first time I’m giving a bad review. Wish I can give 0 star. Ladies, if the items are available at shoppers, it’s better to buy your products there. Employees are wayyy nicer!

I went to this store today with two of my friends, and we had a negative experience with the employees. As soon as we walked in the store we were greeted, we went over the the sephora collection and laneige. While we were over there, we were absolutely bombarded for a basket, from a very unsettling employee. with other encounters with one employee she was kind, but we were followed around the store. Please keep in mind one of my friends is black and the other hispanic. I was followed too but not nearly as much. We got asked several times and very obviously a target from the loss prevention. We understand it was her job, but it made everyone uncomfortable, scared and upset. this is not the first time this has happened. We also payed for all our products, and left as soon as we could before she asked again "Are you going to pay for that? Basket?" Please take consideration into your clientele, and train your employees for situations, and at least be subtle. You have created a bad environment for well paying costumers, and we will be returning to get names of employees that created this problem. This was an obscure and discriminatory act from our favourite store and company. We went on July 1st, 2023 at around 5pm

Literally this store is (one) of the main reasons I am done supporting sephora. I went from a VIB Rouge which is spending 500 dollars a year plus, to a plain old VIB. Sephora 8 years ago was incredible. The service was spot on, the experience in store was almost always amazing. Now, I literally go anywhere else to buy cosmetics. The service recieved in this store is beyond atrocious. You will be judged, ignored, and if you can manage to get help, it's all the same cake face, full glam recommendations, even when you aren't looking for that. These girls are wannabes insta-baddies and girls who don't have the people skills to be successful makeup artists, yet will judge you before even speaking 1 word to you. Do yourself a favor, go to Nordstrom, shoppers or saks. They sell most same brands, and you can deal with brand reps and artists with years of experience, longer than some of the sephora employees have even likely been alive, plus PC points are much better than sephora points. It sincerely shocks me how sephora has fallen, and I know the company does not care about bad reviews, but it seriously shocks me how anyone can still shop here with how atrocious the service is. Shame on you sephora, shame on you.

so me and my best friend went to sephora today to get a toner, we went up to the the counter and stood in line which is where all the minis are as everyone knows. My best friend wanted to smell the lenigue glowy lip bomb and didn’t want to walk back to the lenigue section of sephora. So i took it out of the box she smelt it and we put it back in the box and closed it,i payed for my stuff then as we were walking out this new sephora worker stops us and ask “did u get everything you were looking for?” we responded with yes thank you then she proceeds to ask us “did you take the lenigue glowy bomb?” we ofc said no and she showed us an empty box and said where’s my product so we took her back to the glowy bomb at the front and proved to her we didn’t take and that it had just fell out of the box cuz clearly the box wasn’t fully closed. She also proceeded to say if we left the store she’s going to have us arrested. Even the lady who was in front of us said these lady’s didn’t take anything cuz she watched me put the product back in the box.just because we are teenage girls does not mean we are going to steal.

Came in to get colour matched with a foundation. Louise helped me out and oh my god! She knows her stuff! She asked some questions about what I'm looking for in a foundation, and then instantly knew what she wanted to recommend for me. I didn't like the texture of the first foundation she showed me, and right away she brought another that was exactly what I wanted. Even more impressive, the colour she picked first was THE MOST perfect shade match I've ever seen! I cannot say how happy this made me, as I've felt so frustrated with foundation for years because I've had such difficulty finding the right shade (always just slightly off at best). Louise also recommended a skincare product after I mentioned I was open to additional recommendations to help with redness. Although I only purchased the foundation, I am so glad that I know about the skincare incase i continue to struggle with redness. Thanks to Lousie, I had hands-down the best Sephora trip I have ever had! She was so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable! I am absolutely going to look for her the next time I need assistance in Sephora.

July 29 2023 I went to Sephora in chinook to get my makeup done for my birthday for the first time. I got the 30 minute makeup as well as the 15 minute lashes, and For context I have a olive tan colour of skin as well as I am only 14. I told the makeup artist to do whatever they think looked best, when he was trying the tinted moisturizer he used a shade to light then proceeded to use a concealer 5 times to light my shade, when it was all done I looked very pail and white yet the artist said it looked perfect. When I looked at the mirror I didn't recognize myself I was pail and looked like an airbrushed filter there was no texture to my face I looked super fake and plastic it looked nothing like me. As well as with the lashes in my opinion they should come with the 15 dollar lashes being put on but instead you have to pay extra for them yet they were falling of before the end off the evening and I got them done around 4:15. At the end of it i looked 20 and was very disapointed with the exsperience over all I don't think I would do that again.

I came in today with my friend looking for new makeup products to try. We weren’t too familiar with some of the stuff we needed, and had been struggling to find the right foundation shade. However, Camille made the experience so much easier and her patience, positive attitude and customer service were excellent. She helped us find the exact shade we needed, and some other products as well. She was very determined to make sure we were getting the perfect products for our skin/shade, and most of all, made sure it was going to look good. It was so nice to be able to feel comfortable and completely helped from the start to the end of our visit to the store. Which is nice, because going into a makeup store can be a bit overwhelming at times, because there is so much things to choose from and a pressure to buy. However, she willingly helped us despite the fact if we were buying or not, and consistently checked on us. We were in good hands. Thank you Camille. I hope to have the same experience again when coming to Sephora or any makeup store.

I always have had terrible experience with Sales associates at this particular Sephora location but this time the exceptionally excellent customer service I received from Raleigh or Kaliegh. Sorry I forgot her name. She was super polite, kind and very patient young lady. She deserves all the recognition. I visited the store when Sephora had 20% off if an employee shares her promo code. Without hesitation she gave me a card with promo code with No judgement or no disgust look. It’s extremely rare to see kindness from the young arrogant Sephora employees. The lady behind her was rolling her eyes and but Raleigh was professional and understanding. I was literally in and out of the store in less than 7 mins. I am so super glad I walked into her. Please make sure all your sales associates are trained by Raleigh. Kudos to her and thank you for making me feel welcomed and thanks for going above and beyond and not listening to your co-workers whispers and eye rolls. Please don’t ever change. Wish you nothing but lots of success.

Divya is absolutely unhelpful and lazy. She didn’t even bother to check the drawers to see if the perfume I asked for was there. She said the store doesn’t have it, but online it says it’s in stock. She even asked someone else to check for it in the back room instead. She told us to look for other perfume from the line that I wasn’t interested in! We wasted about 30 minutes just waiting for her to check and listening to her excuses. I had to call for the manager so that she checks for it, and 10 seconds later she found it in the drawer. Divya was standing there and smiling, shamelessly looking at me. Didn’t even apologize for the waste of time! And how could an employee not check the drawers when a customer asks?? That’s the first thing to do, but I think wasting someone’s time and making excuses is more “helpful”. Terrible experience. Divya does not seem like a good fit for the store. The cashier, however, and the manager were nice to check it for me. They also apologized for Divya’s unhelpful behaviour.

I was in in Feb 3 to get a new perfume. This Asian perfume lady started to trying to “help”, but came off really pushy and rude. She pretty much putting me choose to this or that, like I’m gonna waste her time not buying anything, and ask me to smell my sleeve. I was wearing my dog walking jacket, not the cleanest jacket, why would I want to smell my jacket sleeve? Isn’t there coffee beans. While I was looking around, another younger girl working there was telling me their promotion and YSL perfume, this Asian lady started interrupting, as a sales manager myself, it was a painful experience. I should’ve went to Nordstrom since they also have JoMalone counter, I wanted to talk my time to smell the scent without people talking my ear off, definitely not when I’m trying to get a scent of each fragrance. If you not 16 year old, go elsewhere treat yourself a better experience.

I went to Sephora at Chinnok mall on 29 of Dec as I was looking for sephora collection tinted moisturizer. Last time I went to sephora at this location I had a very good experience, the lady there helped me find my shade and was very patient but this time when I asked the girl at the sephora collection counter she was very rude I asked her can you help me and in a rude tone she replied "wait a minute" so I just stand there stupidly processing what just happened there were other customers too then she turned to me yes so I asked her where I can find that and she said its discontinued and walked away. Both times I didn't look at their names but this girl was south asian that's all I remember. I didn't expect this kind of service from sephora usually I order online but I go to store if i need to find my perfect moisturizer or foundation. Really disappointed

Went in to check out a few items to see shades and purchase in store as opposed to on-line. Within two minutes I was approached by four different sales people to see I was “finding what I needed”.. one person even followed three steps behind me as I was browsing the shades. I understand how sales works, but after I clearly stated I was merely browsing and knew what I was looking for- I would’ve felt more comfortable being left alone. I get that it’s probably commission based- but maybe let people shop in peace. Offer help at the door- then leave me be! There’s enough sales reps standing around- if I needed help I could easily get someone. It’s a fine balance between offering customer service and just being assertive and aggressive. Seemed a bit off here in this store.. It’ll strictly be on line purchasing for me from now on.

Really weird, and annoying experience. When I first walked into the store, I went to exactly what I was looking for. An associate came up, asked if I was okay, asked a question, passed me a basket, and I just wanted to look around the store. After being approached multiple times in the first 2-3 minutes, I decided to start counting. I was approached over 30 times in my 20 minutes of being in the store - not counting re-approaches. As someone who works in retail myself, this was the most annoying experience I have ever had. I understand that that is part of the job but I didn’t have a minute to myself. It got to the point I felt as if the associates might have thought I was shoplifting or thought I was clueless/dumb. I’ll be ordering online from now on so I don’t have to deal with being bothered every minute - LITERALLY.

I had my wedding make-up done here after a hair salon at the mall made mistakes with our wedding party booking and did not properly book my make-up with my hairstyle. (Yes, brides only need hairstyle and no makeup sometimes I suppose… ) Well, let me tell you - thank God we ended up coming here instead. Rohma was the makeup specialist working on my special day and she was absolutely amazing. She had suggested looks ready and was super helpful in choosing the best look for me. She made my face look flawless for my special day and I received lots of compliments. I am very grateful that I ended up having her help me with my wedding day look. Thank you, Rohma, for helping me make my day truly special.

I had a wonderful experience at Sephora yesterday. I initially had a hard time locating the store because they are no longer on level one but I eventually found it. I had booked an appointment for a full-face makeover at 4:00 but I arrived there very late but they were still more than willing to help. Ana (at the door) was very nice and patient with me and was more than willing to call over the ICU to assist me. Nicole (the lady who did my makeup) was very kind and did a great job with my makeup. The ICU was also very nice and helpful, I did not get her name sadly. I had anticipated passive aggression because I was tardy but it was overall a great experience and I would highly recommend going there.

  • Robyn Dahms

Every time I have gone in here no one has greeted me (not that big a deal) but I usually need help finding something or have a question about a product and the staff are always “busy” gossiping with their coworkers. I get it, you think it’s fun to work here with your besties, but you’re at your job, maybe act like it? The most recent time I was in and managed to wrangle someone to help me, they disappeared into the back for 10 minutes and someone else had to come out and tell me they had gone on break. The cashiers usually aren’t friendly either. I’d cut my losses and just order my purchases online but Sephora has switched shippers and the new company is super unreliable with tons of bad reviews.

  • Hìldë Runnström

I received perfume as a gift with receipt and wanted to return it and repurchase it with additional items so I could get my insider points. What I thought was a straight forward enough transaction turned out to be more complicated for the employee at the till. She called her manager over for help and rudely dismissed her with, "you'll have to get her to call Sephora customer service to figure it out".. As if I wasn't standing less than 2 feet across from her so she could say that to my face. After that I didn't end up going ahead with it. The next day I went to Sephora at The Core, found the same products and the employee only took a minute to do the whole transaction.

Sucks to leave a bad review but every time I shop at Sephora Chinook I’ve noticed bad costumer service in fact this is the worst of all locations and too bad as I live just a block away. I went with my friend yesterday, Dec 3rd around 5-5:30pm and the Ordinary representative isn’t helpful, snob and arrogant. When I went to the till to pay, the cashier wasn’t very happy when I mentioned about birthday insider gift, so I told her about my birthday as she seemed to not believed in me. Please re-train your staff as they make the store uninviting with their attitude and they looked like they’re not happy with their job.

  • Sarah Marie

Very disappointed in the customer service at the Chinook Sephora location. There were multiple groups of staff members standing around chatting with each other and not once was I asked if I needed assistance. Some of the groups chatting were were taking up so much space that I would have to excuse myself to move past them. Thankfully I knew what I was looking for otherwise I would’ve left empty handed. The girl working at the till was also less than friendly and I honestly feel guilty even spending my money there. From now on I’ll be shopping at the market mall location or going to a different retailer completely.

  • Nikita Narula

Went in to buy some products. Was waiting for someone to help with a foundation match. 10 mins later and no one helped. This is why I prefer to shop online. Then customer support cannot complain about people returning products because you make it impossible to get a match online or in store. Without trial and error I won’t know what my colour is. If you want people to waste less product then offer assistance in store. If you know it’s the busiest time of the year then hire more staff. Unbelievably annoyed at the lack of customer service at this location. And this isn’t the first time this has happened.

  • Jennifer Swear

The girls who work here are such snobs! Arrogant, stuck up and rude! Yesterday the minute we walked in, we were looked down upon and given snotty looks likewe didn't belong there just because we're not RICH PEOPLE! The one approached me and asked if I needed help I said no thank you and she's okay fine then and walks out like what the heck!? How RUDE! And they watch you like a hawk like you're going to steal something, and not to mention the prices are outrageous! This is a snob store and I will NEVER go back in here again or shop here, I hope these people are fired and these stores are shut down!!

The older lady with the black straight hair follows around visibly Indigenous people. She makes the environment an uncomfortable place to shop, when approached to ask if anything is wrong, she’ll run away or pretend not to hear you. But she quite obvious following will continue. She has been documented for all to see online in public forums as a way to warn other shoppers. It’s quite depressing to see this happening, on stolen Native Land in a store that stocks an Indigenous run brand. Not a good look quite honestly, this has made me as a professional MUA choose to stock my kit elsewhere.

Wife shops at Sephora a lot. We have been going to this Sephora since their original location on the main floor near the mall entrance. Since then, they have moved and gotten even bigger. Personally, I think the current location is a gift to the landlord as they bring traffic to a quieter area of the mall. The store is always packed and there is always a line at the till. There is a huge selection of products that most people will find what they need. Plus, for a few times a year, they provide 15 to 20 percent off coupons for use. That's usually when my wife goes in to refill the cabinet.

  • Holly

I like coming here because it’s well stocked and they have a good selection for perfume. I usually go in to test and smell new perfumes however today both my friend and I felt uncomfortable with the amount of staff that surrounded us. Particularly there was one employee who lingered behind us and would follow us as we went down or walked to the opposite side of the perfume section. I understand staff has to make sure there’s no theft but it did get a little uncomfortable when the lady was very clearly watching us with hawk eyes and following us as we moved. We ended up just leaving.

  • Jessica MacDonald

Terrible customer service. Went in twice recently to find a new cleanser and to get some help with colour matching. Hung around for about 15 minutes each time; no one offered to help. The staff who actually help customers are busy and the others are just standing around talking to each other. I did manage to interrupt a group and ask for help once, but the staff member wouldn’t actually recommend anything and just kept staring off at the group of other staff members that were still standing around and chatting. I’ve never had such a hard time spending money before.

  • Karly Tarney

This location is so large and clean, and offers almost all of the products you can find online -unlike the South Center location. The staff always greet you when you come in and within one minute, you have your own personal shopper, suggesting products and helping you find the best makeup and skincare for your needs. The check-out counter is usually busy and takes a bit of time to wait, however, the staff work quickly while still giving you due respect and time once it's your turn. When you leave, you're given a friendly goodbye and you're thanked for stopping in.

Took my daughter and her friends for Feature Focus appointments. Rohma was so lovely to work with and she was so sweet and friendly with the girls. She helped them look absolutely beautiful but also taught them simple ways to apply their makeup with some tips and tricks. They loved their time with her! Nice variety of make up for them to pick from after as well. Unfortunately, the store didn't have any free birthday gifts anymore for my daughter and I was told to "come back in a couple weeks maybe..." Slightly disappointing after spending a few hundred bucks.

  • Meghan Wickett

I have visited this location on a few occasions and received good service but today I received amazing absolutely above and beyond service from Tristian. Next time I am shopping there is no one I will let help me except him. He was so knowledgeable and heard every want and need I asked for and showed me multiple options to achieve the goals and why they were his recommendations also how to use the product to achieve my goals. Anyone looking my for a fantastic sales representative at the Chinook location should ask for him. Thank you Tristian!

  • M C

At check-out, I asked what the return policy was because I wasn't sure if my skin would like the moisturizer I got and the girl looked at me from head to toe and kind of gave me an attitude telling me their policy. She then asked if I needed a receipt through email or paper, I asked for email copy and I didn't receive the email copy of my receipt. Worse experience at Sephora, this location is the worse. No one even came up to me to ask if I was doing okay or had any questions either. Poor customer service. They don't even deserve a star.

  • Natasha Filp

I went into the Chinook Sephora location with not much knowledge in makeup brands and a foundation to suite my skin tone. Therefore, usually only browse and never purchase. Miranda made me feel very comfortable in purchasing products by answering my questions and providing advice. Also, my mother in law only speaks Spanish so Miranda answering her questions and getting her the best products also was a bonus. We left with great customer service as she was very helpful and attentive to us from start to end. Thanks again Miranda!

Rude asian sales lady in perfume took my sales lady while she was helping me and told my sales lady to help the other lady. I couldn't believe it! I left. Anyway, I was going to buy something in perfume, but after I was told she'd be back, I thought, is this a joke? Well, no, it wasn't. I was supposed to wait while my sales lady (she was knew I think being bossed around by the rude lady) helped another lady when I was first. Unbelievable! Think the manager should check the lady in perfume's rude behavior! Could loose sales!

  • parminder sidhu

I hate to leave a bad review, but there was a lady at the front who spoke broken English and couldn’t help me with what I was looking for because she couldn’t even understand what I was saying. Not only that but she was even pretty rude to me and my girlfriend the attitude was ridiculous. I asked her if there is anyone else I could talk to she said not right now and just left to go “look” for someone but never came back while I just waited there forever. Rude and unprofessional need to do better customer service.

Went out of my way to go to this store today, at crossiron mills. Absolutely no service at all. I was shocked. I usually go to this store for the service and help with makeup. No one agkowledged me. I went to find someone and an item. They pointed in a direction and then ignored me again. Others in the store were also flustered. They were so busy stocking shelves no one was getting help. I left and asked for receipt to be mailed to me for my powder. Nothing recieved. Won't be back. Gone downhill

I was in today, March 17th/2023 around 11am-12pm, and I'm confused because why does Sephora have a person working up front as cashier who is not people friendly? Your staff, Katana specifically, gave the worst most disrespectful service today. What is with the unnecessary attitude? Maybe she's having a bad day but given her negative approach you'd think she was being forced to work there. To be a Beauty Insider Rouge and still be treated with major disrespect by your staff is not right.

Too Bad experience today. I went to change colors of two lip colors today. One was Gucci transfer proof lip color, and the other was Pat McGrath. But management over there said no to do straight exchange. I was already thinking of stop shopping from sephora now that they made me do 100 percent. Because after this experience I would go to shoppers drug mart rather than them. Getting more bonus points in money. Or buy straight online and Getting more discount from company website.

I love Sephora but I've gone in to get a shade match 4 times within a year and every time the makeup "experts" matched me so wrong and just pushed the expensive brands. Especially now that Sephora doesn't do samples so you have to buy the whole product and its not cheap :( I think they need to train employees better to help with the costumer. I'm not a makeup expert so I'm coming in for help not to buy the most expensive products which is what my last few experience has been.

I was shopping and some lady accused my friend and I of shoplifting. We were both told to go out of the store and return the items that we're holding and the lady even cursed at us. I went back to buy all the items that we're suppose to buy and the same lady assisted me but in a very rude way but I still bought everything. I forgot to ask her name as I was trying to hold my temper, it was very disappointing on how they would judge us that quick.

BIG ON DISCRIMINATION. The Sales Team/Cashiers Judge people on their LOOKS, HEIGHT, DRESS & will only help accordingly. The Cashiers attitudes most of the time are terrible. Once in a blue moon, a nice one approaches to offer help. Over all bad hiring tactics from the internal hiring management or whichever recruiting company you hire people from. I would NOT recommend this store to anyone that wants to be treated fairly as a valuable customer.

  • Lala Dubbs

I’m not one to normally leave a review let alone ask for help but I was desperate to find something to help with my under eye area and Rhoma absolutely blew me away. She was beyond helpful and her tips and tricks were literally life changing. I cannot thank her enough. Her product knowledge is absolutely out of this world and she made the whole experience an absolute pleasure. Employees like this really deserve to be celebrated.

  • chelsea sollows

Was pleasantly suprised with how many staff were available to help customers. It seemed they had a staff member to be able to know and help with whatever kind of makeup you were looking for!! Had some good sales on. Store was clean, easy to find what you were looking for, polite available staff and everything displayed looked organized and clean. Will recommend this store to anyone wanting good makeup and knowledgeable staff!

  • A L

My friend, Vanessa and I were really impressed by April in the perfume department. She was really patient with us and nothing seemed to be too much bother. She was very knowledgeable and was not put off by our many questions. Her friendly manner made her really approachable. She also recommended a restaurant for us as we’re visiting from Scotland and were not sure where to eat. April is a real asset to the store.

  • Jaya Marciano

me and my sister who USED TO shop here all the time went in with another one of my friends and me and my sister got followed and asked to open our bags after we payed keep in mind my blonde white friend (we’re mixed people of colour) was standing beside me and was asked of no such thing. not the first time this has happened but will be the last trip for me the employees at this location are terrible!

  • Caitlin Fuller

As stressful as the Christmas season can be, the staff was incredibly kind and helpful! I believe I had James help me, they went out of their way to go the extra mile and try multiple products throughout the store to send me home with the best fit despite the challenges of limited options in my shade range! Lovely overall experience, and Merry Christmas to all the fantastic staff

  • Isabella Luu

Overall the products and store is good. If you’re lucky, you will encounter some amazing and helpful people that will advise you until you’ve found the right product. I encountered someone who got irritated and gave me attitude when I didn’t like the smell of a product. They didn’t even try to recommend another one. I ended up doing my own research to find a better option.

  • Alena Latsinnik

Great products I always recommend!!! But the girl was getting smashed on the till (very busy, long queue) , while other ladies were just hanging out and chatting. When a customer asked one of girls to go on the till she said “I’m not scheduled for the till today” and walked away with (3!!!) other staff ladies. Please support your teammates better, this is just a disgrace!

  • Stephanie Era

Ashley deserve a promotion because of her stellar customer service to me today. I was looking for a good concealer and a good skin match but she went above and beyond in assisting me. She skin prepped my skin and got me what I need. Never have I seen a staff took good care of their customer like this! I hope she gets the special treatment she deserve from this company.

  • J M

You better deal with the older woman with black hair that works in your store. You know what I'm talking about. This is not okay. Your brand even represented indigenous women in your ads and this is how you really treat them?!?? AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL I don't know what it is with businesses lately but y'all are going backwards with the mistreatment DO BETTER

  • Mann

I spend lot of time and money here . I was brought NARS foundation ,concealer ,glow recipes for face and eye and one lip gloss. But I’m not happy actually NARS foundation and concealer not good for me. I’m feel dark and dull after using those 2 products. And I have pimple now ☹️I brought those products with the help of one working girl here .

  • Joelle Wags

I come here now and then seeing mostly new staff each time. It seems like Sephora has a revolving door. With that being said, their customer service is quite iffy, it's like having to coin toss. Shoutout to Dina for providing great customer service, I thank her for making educated guesses for darker-complected makeup lovers like myself!

  • Sahil Lamba

Extremely ignorant staff. It felt like she picked on us we ask for help and she just walked away. If you don’t like your job just leave simply. Rather, than helping us she showed us attitude. Never coming back and won’t suggest to any of our colleague to go there just to get racially profiled. Disgusting behavior shown by the staff.

  • Sof-Anne Salamanca

The ladies that helped me today were very helpful and sweet! I personally don’t know a lot about make up and perfumes, but everyone who helped were patient and kind . They were also able to match my skin shade/type and the type of fragrance I liked. Over all I left as a happy customer and got everything I wanted to get!! Thank you!

  • Kraig Lakes

Had a good experience with my birthday gift - easy at the counter. But only one girl on till with a huge line, other employees in the store said they don’t do till and continued to talk with each other. Brutal to see one girl working while most of the other staff are just hanging out chatting. The girl on till was great!

  • Stephanie Morin

Huge shout out to Esra who did my makeup today for my maternity photo shoot. Esra listened to everything I asked for including hiding some age spots. She is super knowledgeable about the products in store and made me feel comfortable in an environment I have no experience in. Thank you so so much girl you’re the best ☺️

  • Christa Holden

I’ve literally never had a good experience here. They judge you based off how you look and dress even though most employees are cake faced. And after the Racial profiling I witnessed and an employee following people around even while the customer is in line to pay. I will not be shopping here again. Do better.

  • Mackenna Durocher

5 stars for Valentina!!! She was so sweet and so helpful!! She helped me so much by finding all the great products for my skin type and all the good makeup for it too, she was very attentive and patient, I highly recommend going up to her! I’ll definitely go back so she can help me again next time!

  • Marwa Chawich

Manjinder at the brow bar is absolutely wondering. She listens to exactly what you want and does it. She takes her time and is so careful. I’ve done my eyebrows with her a few times and every time they look great. I tried lamination for the first time and they came out SO GOOD!! Highly recommend.

  • Jade SB

Shout out to Makenna (not sure how to spell her name), Amanda, and Esra. They were very friendly and helpful. It was a busy day and yet they took time and helped me look for gifts my mom (for mother's day). They seemed very genuine and passionate with assisting me. I felt very welcome today.

  • MLT

Had a great experience here! Especially with the Mac representatives! I had a match to very dark tan I had on my body for my fitness competition- they did awesome! My face looked perfect in tone, and they had some great tips for me too. Great service, couldn’t ask for better

  • Xoni

Customer service is so bad at this location. Ivy is a terrible person. She’ll just shove things in bag and throw it on your face. Such a horrible person. They need some training for professionalism and leaving their personal insecurities behind when dealing with customers.

  • Terryl Francisco

Esra, was so helpful with looking for a product she even checked the back with no result. However,, she was able to patiently help me pick a birthday gift as well as spend some of my points. She was so kind and professional. I look forward to having her assist me again.

  • Celine

Went in just to browse and ended up getting accused of shoplifting by 2 different employees, and followed around by one of them. I was minding my business and this experience put me off so much, so I just left. One of the worst experiences I’ve had shopping at a store.

  • Barbara Baker

Had stocked up on one of my favorite items and one of them was a dud. Tried to exchange as the product was completely unusable and was told they couldn’t do it. Seems ridiculous when a product is completely broken. Will definitely not be stocking up at the sales again.

  • Erin Michelle

I received very supportive and friendly service. They were organized and quick to help me. There is a variety of vegan friendly products. I am very pleased with the knowledgeable and efficient staff effort. Management is doing a great job and hiring great staff.

  • Mavic Colarina

Just wanted to say thank you again for helping me this afternoon for changing my flat iron to a new one, I really love to go back to sephora chinook ,the staff is very accomodating and kind especially Fritz, Kelsey and Camile thanks guys for the great service

  • Shubham Sharma

DIVYA being lazy leading to Worst customer service experience. She said the product is not available but literally it was on the floor. When talked to the manager found out it was on the floor. Don’t know why she did, but really bad experience.

  • Nico

Hello I was at this Spehora and like other comments I was followed by the same lady and was very uncomfortable and felt uneased please do your job about this. This is not right people should feel welcomed but no this lady was following me i

I was really disappointed today in Sephora because I tried five different products like blush from gucci, foundation from Dior, lipgloss from Dior, Sunscreen and setting spray from Charlotte, Sephora had none of them in stock. I drove all

  • Hailey Mikaelsen

I don't plan on going back here after being accosted by an employee every time I turned a corner & having to tell them I was just browsing probably twenty times in less than ten minutes. Was hoping to buy a few things but gave up and left

  • C. Taylor

I made a HUGE and COSTLY purchase online and chose to pick it up from this location yesterday when it was Black Friday madness. I picked up my bag around 5pm and didn’t open it until I got home. I went through all the items and noticed an

  • Regina Magcawas

My experience here was the worst. I was minding my own business trying to buy new makeup for my grad pics. I was followed by a bunch of employees and this girl who approached me was so rude. She was offering me a bag to put your makeup in

  • Ellie Rose

Worst experience ever! I just wanted to shop in peace but they were constantly harassing me. I told them I'm just browsing repeatedly but they kept bothering me and when they stopped talking to me they started following me around. I was

  • Edward Dizon

Very arrogant response and bad body language from the front desk staff when asked about the birthday gift (My Birthday today). Quote from staff “This location doesn’t participate in the birthday program anymore. Try somewhere else else”

  • Renee johnson

I really like shopping in Sephora. Unfortunately, once we entered the store, we were hit by a huge overpowering perfume smell it was so bad I had an allergic reaction. A nice light is fine, but it smelt like mold to me.to harsh.

  • Raquel Gutierrez

Good customer service looking for products. One recommendation is fully training cashiers on processing online orders. Instead of asking for help, the cashier sent me to another cashier, waiting 15 minutes for a simple service.

  • Carla Morais

Big shout out to Esra! We went there to look at perfume and cologne. She explained all of the products so well, and was super friendly. She was also very knowledgable and made the experience very pleasurable. Thank you!

  • Ann Melinda

I loved the service at this Sephora. Lovely lady named Dhivya assisted us with our query and helped choose the perfect engagement gift for our friend. Would definitely recommend visiting this branch again♥️

Roma helped my friend and I find the perfect foundation! It was super busy in there but she gave her attention and time and colour matched the foundation for us! Great experience because of Roma :)

I met Janine today at the shop. Oh my goodness, she was exceptional. She helped me choose 5 great new products, I came home, tried all and they were just perfect. Keep up the good work.

  • :]

Really bad experience, last time the worker Cecile was so rude with customers. I asked her if you had any samples after paying 241 dollars for a product and she rolled her eyes at me

  • Chloi Abela

AJ was very delightful when i was checking out my item, and this other lady helped me aswell for the banana eye cream but I didn't catch her name. Happy with my experience thank u!!
