Came here for the first time today after having them recommended to me by family members. I had my car previously "inspected" by another shop that could not diagnose the problem I had with my brakes, but rather made it worse. I called in the morning but was put through to an answering machine. No big deal I thought because it was right after a long weekend so a lot of people are probably trying to call at the same time. I promptly got a call back from Sam, who I found out to be the general manager. I asked if they had any appointments left today but was told that they are fully booked. This was expected as I should have called a few days earlier. However, Sam did say I could drop the car off and he could try to get the job done in between customers. So I did, and even without an appointment I was treated very fairly and with respect. He took a short ride in my car to listen to the noises it made and to get a better idea of the problem. Sam was very helpful and transparent with informing me what the problem was, what parts were needed, and what the pricing will be. I am so lucky to write the 100 review for SOS Auto Repair & Tire, Sam is a very knowledgeable guy with true care of your car. I went there because my car has vibration on the right side, I had hit a curb really hard before and has replaced most components at other shops, did wheel balance and wheel aliment multiple times, yet the car still have vibration on the right side. He immediately pointed out that it might be the CV axle causing it so I went to dealer and bought a re manufactured CV axle and went back to get it replaced here. You know what, the vibration is gone afterwards, they even topped up the transmission fluid during the process because there will be some fluid loss from removing the axle. After that, my car has been driving more quietly especially at idle, which make me think that the transmission fluid might be low before. I remember to call here is a bit tricky, you have to wait or make a choice from voice service. Anyways, I highly recommend this place and the price here is very reasonable. Get a quote and you won’t regret. Cheers!

After a front bearing change my car started vibrating on highways. Called back and brought with me the other side and was billed to change it along with front rotors and brake pads. It was still vibrating and after a summer tire installation and wheel balance the vibration was nearly gone. Supposedly i had paid for a wheel balance on all tires when my first bearing got changed!! We are now nearly down $1300 in labour and parts and had the joy of driving a vibrator for three months and be told the rims needed to be changed because they are bent from pothole damage. A mechanic there also pryed my bumper loose when changing a headlight only to have it burned out again a week later and this time it was the bulb connector that burned. I mean go figure! if the bumper was not installed properly then how would i trust that the broken connector wasn't also a careless repair ? The time it took to swap winter for summer tires was 3.5 hours.

Got this place from Google reviews, and was not at all disappointed. Great person, don't know his name went in at 5:30 pm. Not knowing the place before, had to rush after tyre flattening. All slots were booked and full of cars in service. Middle age man approached me with smile on his face, I told him the situation and he told me that he's fully booked and only half an hour for closing but if I can wait he's willing to help after he finishes cars inside. He asked me to roam around and of not get any place, come back. And that was the worst mistake of my life, I got one nearby place with name of Auto Repair and got the worst time of my life. Total non professional arrogant ignorant persons I ended up with. I wish site you would have forced and stopped me for roaming around and I should have parked my car with you until you finish. Anyhow five stars for your deal nicely and professionally

If I could give more stars, I would! SOS Auto Repair offers exceptional, quality service, and most importantly, HONEST, reliable expertise. The fender skirt on my passenger side fell off when my car went over the curb. I went in to SOS, without an appointment, and Sam assisted me without me having to wait at all. Luckily, I had picked up the fender skirt off the road when my car hit the curb and showed Sam. He said that a new fender skirt would cost $95 + labor cost, about $200. He took the car to look at it and within as little as a half hour, the fender skirt was fixed and I went to the cashier to pay. Much to my surprise, the total was $90. Sam was able to salvage the fender skirt that fell off. He saved me about 100 bucks! There are 3 professions where honest reliable people are a rare find: Mechanics, doctors, and lawyers. I am blessed to check mechanic off this list!

I came in cause my tire was being funny. I’m pretty handy with a car but I needed a repair done ASAP. He said it would be 2000$ for brakes rotors and callipers. I told him I would do the brake and rotors myself and he tried to tell me I can’t? But I did. And they were fine. They never needed to be replace and they had nothing to do with my problem. And I had a whole different problem with my E-Brake they didn’t even notice. And when they installed the caliber it was higher price than quoted, and the washer wasn’t tighten right so now my brake is leaking a little bit. Not a lot but for the price and everything else they messed up on you'd hope that would at least be right. But they’re friendly and follow up with you.. 2/5 for customer service But if you want your car fixed solid 0/5 go somewhere else

I have a 2011 Toyota Tundra , my Toyota dealership could not figure out why my truck could not start and put in 2 new fuel pumps which the first didn’t work and the second didn’t work, a friend recommended SOS cause I gave up on my dealership, Sam looked at my truck and said” it’s your fuel pump “ I said get me the best fuel pump that isn’t aToyota product, So he ordered a Delphi fuel pump, after 4 months of calling CAA to get my truck towed, And almost giving up and selling my 190km Tundra,,, SOS solved my Truck issues that Toyota couldn’t,, that says a lot about SOS,, I’m lucky a friend referred me to Sam and the SOS crew,, life is good again, thank you SOS .. I love my truck again..

Went to get summer tires mounted and balanced on brand new rims. Sam was good and courteous. Dropped the car off and picked up a couple hours later. Unfortunately it was my fault for not checking before paying. But upon inspection at home, 3 of the 4 BRAND NEW RIMS were scratched and I mean scratched!! The tires looked like they were really bulging out and upon checking the tire psi, all 4 tires ranged from 55 to 60 psi!!! Clearly says on the side wall to not exceed 50 psi. Called Sam back and he basically said nothing he can do. Exactly what I expect from a company that does not stand by their workmanship. I would never go here again and am warning all others to do the same.

Well this was my first time in Toronto/Mississauga region, after cheated by a couple of mechanics I finally called SOS and had a talk with SAM . Here are my findings about SOS/SAM; SAM is a super honest and knowledgeable garage owner who is interested to help customers. Once you book an appointment your work will be done on priority, SAM and team have no problems to extend the working hours to get your work done at the earliest The prices at SOS are very reasonable and transparent. I did my breaks at this shop about a month ago. The service is fantastic. No overcharging, and no one pushes to get something replaced that does not need to be replaced. Sam is a very professional guy. I got the estimate. I got the advice. And as I said, nobody tried to make me fix something extra that I didn't need. One more moment is customer service. Sam provided updates. The car was fixed on time, as promised. And even on the next day, Sam followed up to see if everything was ok. The shop is cleaner than some dealerships. I have taken my Jeep Wrangler to SOS Auto Repair and Tire a couple of times and I am happy to say that I have zero complaints. The customer service was okay. My only problem was after being told twice that my appointment would only take an hour, we arrived 10 minutes early to drop off the car. I asked again, and was told it would be an hour, so I said we would come back in 1 hour. When we returned an hour later, the car was still in the exact same location and had not been moved. My husband asked them when the car would be looked at and they said they would start it soon. So we had to sit for another hour with our toddler in their waiting room. They need to improve on their time management.

Went in for 1pm appointment for wheel alignment of my Honda civic. It took 2 hours to get it done. Not enough workers. Then after the job was done, the mechanic droved my car into a wide parking lot and rear ended a parked car. Ridiculous!! He was a young mechanic who just passed his G license. Good thing it was just a minor scratched on my bumper. The owner said bring your car back tomorrow and I will buff it. I didn't go back, It's just a waste of my time. Slow service. I highly won't recommend. No stars . . . but I have to tick off 1 so I can post it. Damn it!!

I love this place because the owner Sam is really nice, respectful and friendly and also the mechanics that work there they're very skilled and when you go there ask for archie he is the best mechanic there he have lots of knowledge about interior and exterior of the car inside and out of the car you name it and when you go to this place you won't get disappointed and also they accept cash and when you pay cash there is no tax added. It’s hard to find a place that you can trust with your car. But I can trust leaving my car in the hands of the people at SOS Auto Repair & Tire. They run the diagnostics needed, they explain the issues my car has and I never felt once that they are trying to just get my money. They are very accommodating when it comes to setting appointments, they take the time to understand my needs and they fix my car in a timely manner. I always feel safe driving my car after taking it back from maintenance. And they always make sure to follow up after every visit.

First time coming here to get alignment and rotation since we bought our car almost three years ago. I know it's pretty bad. Sam was professional and politely greeted and asked what he could help. Excellent service! Got my brakes and rotors replaced today. Efficient work for a very reasonable price. Nearly $400 less than what the dealership was charging. I went here for the first time, because I had an issue in one of my winter tires. They were very courteous and treated me like a VIP. I was extremely happy that no one pushed any thing more than I needed. I needed one tire and thats what I got! Very honest and helpful staffm treated me like family. Took about 30 minutes longer than the hour they estimated it would, but overall happy with the service for my wheel alignment. After the alignment Sam walked me through what they did and made me understand and feel comfortable about it. Didn't try to upsell me on anything which I very much appreciate. Would definitely reccomend to friends and family. They were also able to accomodate me the same day as I called for an appointment.

Real honest mechanics who aren't just after your money. They'll tell you if you don't actually need to replace a part, while other mechanics just want your business and money. I know other reviews complained about wait times but it's a mechanic, some jobs require more time ( would you want your car to be rushed?). Book an appointment, that's what I did.

In times where trusting a mechanic is hard, this is definitely the place to go. Sam is probably one of the nicest guys I have ever had the pleasure to speak to. Never had to worry about hefty bills. Not only they have really competitive pricing, all work done on the car has to be pre-approved by the owner. I don't believe I will ever change mechanics.

Best mechanic I’ve ever dealt with. Incredibly honest and straightforward, actually took the trouble to show me exactly where the issue is on my car. Dealership wanted to charge $1200 + tax to replace 2 control arms and alignment, they charged me about half of that. I’m incredibly grateful and highly recommend them if you want an honest mechanic.

They did a job that 3 other mechanics said couldn’t be done. They got the parts, did the job, charged exactly what they quoted. As far as customer service goes, they went above and beyond to meet my schedule as this was my work vehicle. Taking my truck here was overall an excellent experience.

Alternator seized & shredded the belt while out of town. Limped vehicle over to SOS. Quick diagnostic. Ordered parts. Replaced and test drive in a couple of hours. Most places can't do that with an appointment. Got home safe. No issues with 10k since the "rescue" . Thanks Sam and team

Changed my tires and it completely fixed my car which was pulling really hard to the left and shaking when driving in the city even at low speeds. Since changing the tires the change has been significant. And they actually follow up! Which is cool and very professional service !
