My car was impounded by SA PD on 25 Feb 2022. I immediately called in an left a messag for the Sargent and was told I would receive a return call. I have not received a return phone call or any form of contact to date (3/2/22). All information received by the responding officer, at the time incident, has been full of errored information to myself and my family. My keys were not turned into SA Behavioral Health as the officer indicated, that left my family and I in a bind as that was my only remote to my car. I had to purchase a new vehicle remote for programming (that money had to be borrowed). The remote purchased through Amazon came in on 2/25/22, at lunch my vehicle was where the officer stated it would be until I was able to pick it up, I verified this upon my release from SA Behavioral Health and on 2/25/22 and left a note on my vehicle. The remote programmer was unable to come till 6pm, when I arrived to the location of my car about 5:30 pm (2/25/22)my car was gone. I am unable to pay any fees to retreive my car from storage - had the responding officer done as indicated with my vehicle's keys, this situation coul have been avoided. Had the officer not provided false information and determined that his agenda was what mattered, none of this may have been on the table for discussion and I now requesting full investigation of the officer and San Antonio Behavioral Health. The responding officer also falsified information in my file in order to have a 48 hour hold processed. - falsified information to myself and my family, as well as Behaviorl Health When he stated I was combative - there was no time that I attempted any physical harm to any person in the polic showing. I most definitely asked not to be touched - I have PTSD and stated this I ensured to ask several times we're their recording devices on so that I coukd speak directly to them and my actions be seen. At no time was I attempting to enact a Combative situation. The police were supposed to be protecting a citizen and I asked not to be touched an given my earlier attack, common sense should hav been enacted. This office found it more appropriate to guv me advise on whom I chose to date and allow in my life - that is no his business nor did in ask. He had a job to do an he decided that not was better brutally detain black woman who screamed out in pain and had be brutally attacked earlier and the officers refused to respect my request not right be touched. As a result I was thrown into SA Behavioral institute. I am 100% DV Veteran an I clearly stated on numerous occasions - the officer seemed to be more concerned to get information on another party involved in my earlier incident where I was beaten by two women while being held down by a third party. I would trust each of the parties that laid hands on me before I ever trusted another San Antonio Police officer or any health care professional. As I result I have thrown away my beloved American Flag and all of my once honored military memorabilia. I served a country only to allow poorly trained cops abuse their power. Not only we're my rights as a non combative Law abiding citizen trampled - the staff involved in my care at SA Behavioral health was frightening an life altering. That facility is staffed with ill equipped personnel and should be investigated for medical malpractice an inaurance fraud. Techs trample patient's rights an engage in mind games with people suffering with mental health disabilities. This facility is marred with patients who severely require mental health treatment and are met with foul mouth staff with anger issues. Th doctors that I encountered were rushed and only concerned with furthering a patient's stay should the patient not agree to the line of proposed care. A degree does not equip one with common sense or a soul. To date I have received no contact in reference to any of the erroneous information provided to myself or family, nor have I ever received my car keys or belongings, nor had contact been made with me.

Aren't the police tired of the war being waged on a medicinal ancient herb/flower? So many lives and job opportunities are destroyed for individuals who have to get put in the system for using an ancient seed bearing herb, instead of drink man made poison, disgusting beer and whiskey that destroys good men and women, destroys relationships, families, causes most accidents EVER. The biggest lie ever told was that marijuana is a dangerous plant, it is all how you use it. It unlocks the mind, calms people down.. my friend whos son was murdered would have never made it without it, it brought him peace and comfort in his darkest hour, this war must end on marijuana, it is a darn shame. ALCOHOL RUINS LIVES, causes people to make so many ridiculous decisions with no regard of human life, it is alcohol pushed so hard, why can't we make a choice for ourselves? We must we drink of man made poison rather rather then use an ANCIENT MEDICINAL HERB! This senseless war on pot is hurting the relationship between communities and law enforcement, friction over a plant, a guy having to be "in the computer" the rest of his life for being the better man and taking a little smoke when he got home, rather then get wasted and make senseless aggressive sometimes fatal decisions. Thank you SAPD for your professionalism, for keeping us safe... always much respect to yall... folks in the community do remember like us they have a family to feed. If you mess up, its your fault. You speed, dont use blinker you get stopped dont blame cops for your own ignorance instead be respectful cool heads prevail

I am truly disgusted with SAPD. I have a family member who was advised by the US Attorney General's Office (Tucson) to file a Police report for Criminal Endangerment of a child against his estranged wife, her counselor's and the Court Judges of the 131st, 150th & 288th District Courts. The listed courts were to be held liable for placing a child back into the hands of a dangerous woman, thus facing Federal Charges. Officer Martinez, Badge number 718; is suppose to be a Peace Officer, sworn to Protect the Public from harm, this would be inclusive of children, yet failed to take the time to file a Criminal Report and blew off my family member as if there was no issues that needed to be addressed in the Interest of Public Safety. For pete's sake, if you need help from the Police in San Antonio, Tx.; call the Sheriff or the State Police.

Called in to report an accident I'd been in. The lady took my info and said she'd send an officer out. We ended up sitting on the side of the highway for an hour before I called back. The guy I talked to said there was no record of an accident being called in. So the first lady I talked to completely blew me off? God forbid someone have a real emergency. Both of us in the accident work at hospitals, so the last thing we needed was to sit in traffic for an hour and a half while this police department competed in the Incompetency Games.

"Thank God I've something positive to write about SAPD." It is only because of the Lead Officer on site and representation by others u get this. I'm glad H.O.P.E. Team is alive. But here it comes. Yep. I am annoyed that the wonderful, good listening and good looking officer/agent didn't hear me tell him that I needed by C-261 rack listed on my address change for my driver's license replacement. He even told me he understood. High marks today.

My vehicle was victim to hit and run in a hospital parking lot today. Called police dept. They put me right through dispatch, and 10 minutes later, I had an officer there to assist. Very professional and helpful. The weather was cold and rainy and I did not feel I was a burden to the officer's day. Thank you SAPD you are appreciated by this family. We have always supported the men in blue, and will continue to do so with pride!

I tried to file a police report with Officer Martinez Badge # 718 while at the Amtrak station complying with a corrupted 288th District Court temporary custody order. Officer Martinez refused to take any information, refused to take custody of evidence, and was in a big hurry to get to the donut shop for his coffee break. I guess coffee and donuts are much more important than a toddler's safety and well being. What a dirt bag!

By far the worst police department in the whole state of Texas ! Bunch of lazy officers that take forever to respond to anything, and let crime run rampant on the streets. One time I got into a fender bender, and me and the other party waited for over an hour just to be responded to. Half of the time they won’t even respond if there was a huge disaster god forbid this city gets any help.

I went to get a copy of a report today 02/15/2022. The lady, Victoria, at the public report desk was super professional, polite, friendly, and knowledgeable. She even made a call to find out some information for me. Excellent experience. Effortless.

Based of the video making rounds on facebook. This police department supports brutality on small kids. I would like to know what disciplinary actions that will be taken against the school resource officer who slammed a small be kid to the ground.

  • Denisha Watson

Incompetent high schoolers with badges I believe they killed my brother Because all the evidence to help solve the case was either thrown out in the trash or not retrieved. This department is known for misconduct robbing and beating up people

  • Brad Tingelhoff
