I was recommended to Sel's after almost being conned (I have much better describing words...) by a garage I'd been going to for three-odd years and was pleased to be on the end of Fred's honest and helpful service. My previous garage were quoting £800 (excl. labour) to replace ONE PART and Fred replaced this part and other significant parts (all related to the braking system), MOT'd the car, and did a full service all for that price! It could easily have cost me more than double that at the other place which would likely have meant writing off or moving on a very good and reliable car.

I have been going to Sel's for over 20yrs now. Family run business and Freddie is brains - all sorts of issues he can get to the bottom of it. Every effort to flex around times that work for me. Good communication on what's wrong and what the options are and then finishing with high quality work. All you want from your mechanic with competitive prices

They are great, called with an issue with my car and they were able to fix it over the phone. Great service, no trying to sell me a new gearbox (which is what another garage tried to do without really asking questions). I hope they service and MOT and I may be using them in the future.

Car dealt with promptly and efficiently. Telephoned beforehand to confirm that price of unanticipated repairs were acceptable before completion. Genuine helpful staff who go out of their way to ensure satisfaction is guaranteed. I whole heartedly recommend this establishment.

I am not really sure what to comment on this place as I am uncertain if I got a good deal/ service at this place. I had my car serviced but I got the feeling it was done in a rushed way and saw this reflected in the report made up in a rather unprofessional and childish way.

I feel so lucky to have found this Garage. The man in there, is the best. I only went there for a second opinion and saw the difference the minute I got there. It looked like he didn’t care about the money but the job on the car. Will Highly recommend him for your job.

Took my car to another garage for 2nd opinion as sels said there was a lot of work to do after my service. Turns out the works they said were not needed.

Fred did a great job at sorting my burst intercooler pipe. Ordered part on next day and fitted it on super short notice. Great service at a fair price.

Will fail mot with a major despite not even carrying out mot onsight. This is so they can bully you into paying whatever they ask for.
