If I could leave 0 stars I would. I have never walked out of a store so embarrassed by an employee, so shocked and speechless. I have never received such rude customer service in my whole adult life. I would not recommend anyone take their children to the Chatswood store and especially do not get served by Marie! Unless you would like to be yelled at in front of many customers and told you taking too long. Marie measured my child’s foot and we tried on a pair of shoes with her. I could see the store was busy and I said I’ll just have another look around to see if there was anything else I like. I could see the store was quite busy and said to Marie that she can look after someone else while I look at the other shoes. I walked around, found a pair and could see Marie was busy with a customer, I patiently waited for her to finish, she made eye contact with me and served another customer. I patiently waited again for her to serve another customer and when she was finished in her loudest voice said YOU NEED TO SCAN IN AGAIN! I thought she forgot that she was already serving me only moments ago and reminded her of this, she yelled at me YOU ARE TAKING TOO LONG TO SHOP YOU NEED TO SCAN IN AGAIN. It’s absolutely absurd to talk to people like this and to not serve them because they are “taking too long”. There is no timeframe in any shops except when Marie is working I guess. This is what happens when patient people get “served” by MARIE. Instead of seeing a patient customer waiting to be served she thought it was appropriate to be rude and yell at a customer. I walked out shocked, shaking and actually really sad as I really wanted to by my child a pair of shoes.

We buy our new school shoes here every year in the past 3 years, the fitting experiences have always been excellent in the past. However, today we received the worst service ever, there was no fitting and no service at all. It was long queue, so we picked 2 types of school shoes while waiting, and we asked for the right size to try. The assistant was not willing to help at all, arrogant and pretend he couldn't understand us. He then came back with 2 different sizes for the 2 style and left them on the floor. I helped my kid to try on the shoes, and asked for his help if its the right size. He said it's the right size, and when I ask if we can try a half size bigger, he refused with an attitude. I think he just want to get rid of us. I understand they are busy, so we grab the shoes and left. Once we've got home, we finally get to try it probably, I think we've got the wrong size and probably need to exchange/refund.

I have been here three times in the past year, and every time the assistants try and sell shoes for my daughter that are waaay too big. I understand it might be to stop parents coming back and complaining when kids grow out of them too soon, but surely that’s something to ask the customer whether they want growing room or a good fit now? During my most recent visit to the store, I was told my daughter was one of two possible sizes. He said they didn’t have either in stock, so brought a shoe two sizes too big and when it (obviously!!) didn’t fit, said to buy the size below online. When I checked the shelves, they had both of the sizes he said they didn’t have in stock. The size he recommended was huge, and so I bought the smaller size. The shoes are quite expensive, and while I’m happy to pay for that for quality shoes, I don’t expect to have to find the shoes on the shelf and size my daughter myself.

If I could put 10 starts, would do so. And the reason is that we've bought 3 pair of shoes for my almost 3 yo and she was tipping over while wearing 2 of them. So we just took the shoes and went to the shop, where amazing team with the manager helped us to find more suitable sizes. Previous ones were fine in terms of sizing too, but i think just for my little one just a bit too big, so she wasn't confident when running. I was amazed of the amount of the help, cause I was just expecting to double check the sizing, but team went beyond and for a good hour tried a lot of shoes to find perfect match. Truly can't thank you enough, guys! You're amazing! Hope you'll get bonus payment :)

We loved the way person dealt with our request and showed us different shoes for school. Service was perfect but the booking system is bad. The whole system for taking people is managed badly. We were standing in a queue for almost 20 mins and someone came from behind who was not in a queue at all and she was attended first because that lady did a booking via QR code and left to do shopping. Why don't you put a big board that you have to do booking and without that you will not be entertained? People are waiting in a queue just for their turn and suddenly someone who is not at all in a queue is getting chance to be attended.

Came to shoes & sox chatswood on a busy Thursday afternoon after being recommended by a family friend to visit. Even though the store was busy, i was greeted and helped by Maddy quickly and professionally. My young daughter was not in the mood and was being difficult, however Maddy was so calm, friendly and understanding. My daughter soon came around to the idea of sitting still and getting the process started due to Maddy's friendly and opening personality. Something that could have been a horror for everyone involved, turned to be a smooth and easy visit. We will be back to see Maddy for our next pair.

The young Asian sales assistant that helped us was unfriendly and cold, insisted that’s the right style and there wasn’t anything else. I think she couldn’t be bother. And when I asked my daughter to try on the shoes and walked a bit to see if it’s comfortable and she even asked if we were going to buy them, if not I should take them off first. Then she took the shoes and went off to serve other kids. But I had booked time for 2kids’ fit. So she didn’t end up helping and left my younger one with no help. So I left. I highly recommended Shoe n Sox but maybe don’t go to Chatswood store.

The service at Shoes & Sox Chatswood was fantastic! There was a bit of a wait for fittings, which meant you had to sign in and be placed in a queue, but that was to be expected given there was a sale on school shoes. The staff were very helpful in telling you what number you were in the queue and phoned and texted you when you were about to be called. A particular thanks to Chris, who was apparently a trainee, but was an absolute pro at helping fit shoes for my 5 year old son! We will definitely be shopping there again.

Visited mid-morning on a weekday and we were the only ones there, so received quick and very helpful service (from staff member Kim) buying shoes for my 14 month old son. Very wide range of shoes in different styles and colours. Friendly and knowledgeable staff who gave honest advice about how long shoes likely to last. Table and drawing materials available to keep children busy. Customer loyalty program offering the seventh pair of shoes free within a two year period (to value of average of amount spent on each pair).

We have been taking our daughter to get her school shoes at Shoes & Sox for 10 years now. That is entirely due to the fantastic Marie. She has fitted our daughter every year! She is wonderful. Very helpful, knowledgeable and great at making sure our little one (who is not so little now!) gets the best shoes for the year. When we book for an appointment, we make sure we get Marie! :-D It's hard to put in words how much we appreciate her. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Marie!

Fitting booking online was innovative and we were happy with the service. However, the sales girl tried to charge more than the ticketed price on the discounted shoe claiming the tag may have been swapped even though there was no evidence of that. Quite unnecessary really, to dispute the tagged price so just as well the Store Manager understood obligations and honored the price difference which wasn’t much anyway. Perhaps some training in this area would benefit.

The team at Chatswood were patient with my toddler for her first shoe fitting, even though it was incredibly busy ahead of Christmas and with a queue (covid restrictions) waiting. They still gave the little extra time to talk her through how it would work, show her foot measurement using mummy's hand and check she was comfortable before starting. This avoided a meltdown, so i was very happy they played along. And we got some great shoes that fitted.

This place has good show options for the kids anda very good loyalty program for repeat customers. Main issue here is the staff, they always the to ignore few customers and act as if they are busy tiding up the places. Even when you ask for help they would straight away ignore it avoid eye Contact. If you are persistent and confront the staff, they would say some one will attend to you shortly. This place is a good mine only if it has good staff.

We went in and were assisted by Tiana, who was very attentive and took the time to understand what we were looking for and even showed us around the store to see different styles of shoes that fit our budget. She was very patient with our 4 year old son throughout the measurement and fitting process. We were very happy with her service. Even though the store was busy, we did not feel rushed to make a decision at any time.

Be careful when getting school shoes fitted here. When we were in the shop I asked the sales assistant to double check the sizing as they were only half a size bigger than my daughter’s previous school shoes. The sales assistant insisted that anything bigger would be too big. I got home and pulled out the inner of the new shoes and checked and they were barely big enough for my daughter now. Zero growing room at all!

Was there for my child’s fitting for school shoes. Assistant was despondent and seemed like she hated her job and kept sighing when I simply asked to try another size. Felt like we were bothering her too much. Just rude service. We were only there for less than 5 mins then she said “are you taking these then?”. After her bad attitude, I said we would think about it. And purchased the same shoe elsewhere.

First consultant wasn't very helpful, asked her to check on the size for any other styles of the shoes we are looking at buying, we were told nothing is available especially the 2 styles our son really likes. Then came alone the second consultant, we asked her the same thing, she came back with the 2 we really wanted with my son's size. Overall the rating is for the second consultant for sure.

Made an appointment for three children, that was fine but I don’t feel our fit specialist was very experienced. My granddaughter tried on the shoes and said her toe was at the end, he told her ‘couldn’t possibly be’ - indeed it was. We spend the extra at Shoes and Sox to be fitted properly. Disappointing and now I’m concerned once that start wearing them they won’t be the right fit

We had the most amazing experience at the Chatswood store today. Our son's going to Kindergarten next year so this was special as these would be his first pair of school shoes. He was made to feel so important and we loved the range of shoes they had to offer. Service, quality and knowledge everything was perfect. They are a fun bunch too! We'll be back for sure!

The electronic que is a lame excuse for good customer service, the staff literally ignore you until your name comes up in que. Way to use technology to make the retail experience less. Not a fan of that at all. The shoes my kid liked were in stock and we did purchase but I wasn’t impressed with the method. Train the staff and make retail good again.

Booked a spot online and arrived to the usual busy store. But soon as I let the staff member know what time we were due she put us on top of the queue and we were served within 2mins. Gone are the days of waiting for 30mins - please keep the booking system, its great! Also, our fitter was an expert and had great tips for growing room.

Very good service from the fitting staff. She really took the time to help my two girls find the best fit school shoes and sport shoes. So impressed with her patience. She appropriately advised us to choose the right shoes that fit the shape of the feet rather than following the style that the kids liked better. Great experience!

Tom was fantastic. Very knowledgeable, polite, patient. Generally always happy with the measuring and fitting expertise and always love to bring my children to shoes and socks, but Tom's customer service was really a highlight. Having had an extremely busy day, one team memeber down - he was super efficient and professional.

I wasn't aware that I had to register for a shoe fitting until i was well into the store and noticed the tv screen and session times. It was difficult to get a moment of the staffs time to even ask what the process was. After that was sorted the staff were helpful and professional. They knew their products and range.

Well ... not a fan of there system. They will not talk to you at all if your name hasn't been called which is dam annoying if you just need to pay for socks or if you already know ow your kids size and just need the other shoe. You will not get in and out of there quickly so be prepared to wait half an hr.

I was looking for a baby shoes and its hard to choose. I didn't get useful assistance from the young staff there when there wasn't my baby size there wasn't much suggestion or willingness to help me to find alternative options. Chatswood branch around 2pm. Disappointed abt poor customer service.

They measured my son’s foot as 9.5, then gave him the size 11 (they didn’t have a 10) but said that was the right size. I felt his toe and it was way too big (to be expected) so perhaps they were just trying to make a sale. They were friendly, but didn’t particularly trust their recommendation.

My daughter was fitted for school shoes. The process was efficient. I joined the queue to get fitted online, the staff measured my daughter's feet and she tried 3 different pairs of shoes and chose the most comfortable one. I used a back-to-school voucher. I was very happy with the experience.

We bought our toddler's first pair of shoes here. The girl who helped us (she had an American accent) was extremely informative and made the process super easy. If I was the manager here, I'd do whatever it took to hold on to her! We'll definitely be coming back for our daughter's next pair.

Our fitter was lovely and very knowledgeable about what shoes were suitable, stock levels, etc. The only downside to our experience was I couldn’t purchase shoes for one of my children as they had no stock in his size (in several shoe types). This has also happened to me previously.

Fitting experience was great. Helpful staff but please get rid of those ridiculous cards and put the rewards details online. I have bought shoes here for 8 years and still have to rely on those small cards to claim points that you know very well most people won’t remember.

The online appointment booking system and fitter were great but there wasn't someone at the door managing incoming customers. Some customers who scanned the QR code on the day/walk-ins were served before the booked customers which isn't right.

This was an easy COVID safe transaction. We added our name to the waiting list outside the store using their QR code. We were inside within 5 minutes. My son was measured and fitted and we had finished within 15 minutes. We will come back
