Sorry to have to write a negative review. We hadn't visited simpsons for a while so due to going to a show at the town hall thought it would be nice to get some pre show drinks. Because of some covid restrictions still in place rang ahead and asked if we needed to book but was told no just turn up. Well we turned up to be asked have you book!ed! When I went to explain we had rang ahead the front of house lady just didn't seem to want to know and shut me down and I felt like I was wasting my time explaining. Then she said if your not staying long take a seat but there will be a wait for your drinks, as we are busy and have tables booked for later. It was about 5.45pm and not overly busy but staffing wise was only herself and a young lady attending to all the drinks behind the bar. We sat down ordered and drinks arrived. My glass had lipstick around the rim (my pet hate) so asked for another glass . The front of house lady let rip again saying they had a function the previous evening and maybe not all of the glass got polished properly. Anyhow after her rant my clean glass was placed in front of me to decant my own G&T ice and all!! We witnessed her unpleasant manner to several other couples who entered simpsons having not booked. I get people get stressed but to take that attitude and manner with paying customers is not acceptable. We felt the owners should be made aware how uncomfortable she made us feel and that her attitude is not good for business.

What an amazing, welcoming place even if your not a big alcohol drinker like myself you can still thoroughly enjoy the experience as I had a mock tail called Sand dunes it was truly scrumptious, watching the bar tenders make all the different drinks was really entraining there very talented and knowledgeable. Will definitely be coming back im going to bring my mum next time as I know she will enjoy it just as much as I did. Thankyou to all the staff there for a wonder evening. :)

Very intimate location. Great staff, very knowledgeable and engaging. Make sure to book ahead at the weekend as there are only a handful of tables and they were pretty much all reserved when we arrived, however we were lucky to get the one at front of house. Was great watching these guys work in such tight conditions. A bit pricey yes, but we will be returning as the cocktails are just fantastic. This is the kind of quality establishment Sutton should be known for.

Wouldn’t go back, the large female member of staff was quite rude and evasive…. And wasn’t welcoming at all. Overpriced and poor service. In reply, that is EXACTLY the right way to describe her, there was no insults (I didn’t call her fat!!!) - she was large, its a term of description. I am fed of up this snowflake attitude if you feel offended then I really don’t care! You obviously know who I’m talking about so job done.

I can honestly say this was one of the best events I’ve booked and attended. Rachel went above and beyond for my hen do booking, she was exceptional and professional through out the whole process. Rachel took all the stress of me and handled my large party of ladies with superb management. I highly recommend. Thank you Simpson’s and Rachel this was without doubt the best part of the day, I will be recommending.

An amazing selection of Gins in a stunning little nook! I'm not usually a Gin drinker but with so many different flavours I think Simpsons has converted me! Also great for a coffee in the day I've discovered. The staff are really friendly and helpful & whilst the bar has a really luxurious feel you are made to feel very welcomed, relaxed and comfortable too. i think we will be regulars here! Although the bar is currently closed due to Covid-19 restrictions, I was still able to treat my daughter for her birthday, by buying a Gin Tasting Experience. A box of goodies was delivered on her birthday, plus an invite to a live Zoom session and a fiver towards her next visit. Great service and good quality products. Well done and I look forward to visiting when you re-open.

Service very slow then only served half the table with drinks, waitresses not the friendliest, customer service really needs work. Ladies toilet is tiny, I'm not a tall person but my legs were touching the wall, with them being paper thin I had the awkward pleasure of listening to a conversation a couple were having at the table situated literally right outside of the toilet.

It was alright! Extremely small gin bar which has a very narrow walkway leading to the garden out back. The garden/ car park area appears bigger than the whole venue. Visited for a friend's birthday party and wasn't impressed that it was cut 2 hours early due to them double booking . Wouldn't personally return again as the venue nor the service were particularly great

Visiting from Australia and honestly the gin bar was one of the highlights of the trip. Loved the set up and vibe of the gin bar! Staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. Cocktails were amazing!! The platter we ordered was delicious and looked very professional. Highly recommended looking forward to visiting again next year …

Travelled from Canada to try this place out. Outstanding work. It sucks I don't live there otherwise I would be there every other day, or I would even work there its how much I adored it! Beautiful place and amazing staff. I went here this evening for a couple of drinks with my mum whilst staying in Birmingham. The bar itself is beautiful and has such a cosy atmosphere, and the staff were so lovely and welcoming, and were happy to talk and share stories with us throughout the evening.

Sort of tucked away on Sutton high street. Definitely worth visiting if you like gin. The staff are really keen to look after you. Don't bother if you're looking for beer, they only sell hophouse lager. There's a small range of decent whiskies. Worth visiting. Good for couples and small groups.

Previous visits during the day were great but a Saturday evening did not match these experiences. Even though the table was booked two weeks prior to our visit, we were seated at the bar with a perfectly good empty table available behind us. Service was slow and the place was very busy.

Very nice cosy little place drinks were fantastic so many to choose from but serve only cold food and nibbles which were actually very good. Due to covid you have to download an app to order which happens in some places too and can be off putting apart from that lovely bar.

Lovely friendly place! Decorated tastefully (which is really important to me). I felt very at home here and didn't really want to leave. I discovered a lovely new cider. During our visit there was live music and a bit of spontaneous dancing! Great fun and lots of smiles.

Went for the first time earlier this week with my partner Leigh, what a warm welcome from Dan and Em! Superb knowledge of ALL the gins and other spirits! Great drinks, staff, cosy area, perfect for a date night! Would highly recommend to anyone. See you again very soon!

Went with my daughter for the first time and found a cosy atmosphere with a lovely member of staff who made us feel very comfortable. We had a taste of antipasti, a great cocktail and limonades. We enjoyed passing Saturday's afternoon there and we'll definitely be back.

Arrived for a 21st party which had rugby players attending to find no lager on draught and only one IPA, last minute bottles had been supplied but were running short when we left just before 11pm. Nice cosy venue obviously just not ready for this function.

Great little place to kick back and relax. Such a cosy atmosphere with warm and welcoming staff. Millie really looked after us on our recent visit, nothing was too much trouble. Menu is small but they can make requests. Can’t wait to go back.

The Best Gin Bar in The Midlands! Amazing team and the best ever Gin knowledge you will find. With lots of themed nights to cater to many tastes, and a beautiful garden for when the sun's shining! Excellent service, excellent drinks.

As expected the gin selection and drinks are great. The place is small yet cosy. Great atmosphere. Service could improve but as it's recently opened I'm sure this will improve. Will definitely return and try out more drinks!

Visited first time last night. Was really good, staff really friendly. Only thing that needs improving is the app / menu as found it quite confusing, prices didn't match to app etc. Other than that would visit again 100%.

Love it. So nice if you want to actually talk to whoever you're with. Music is just in the background so more of an intimate gathering. Short on choice of drinks but if you're not too choosy what you have then bonus

Vised on May 2 2019 - Very nice stay, very nice cocktails, very friendly staff! Definitely a place to go if you are in Birmingham. We will definitely do that again when we stay in Birmingham from the Netherlands.

Visited this venue earlier in the year with my sister and had a fabulous night. Rachel served us exceptional gin cocktails all night that were customised and personal to our taste. Would highly recommend!

Since becoming a part-time hobby bar it is virtually impossible to actually go there unless attending a private function. Fed up with trying, disappointed as it was one of my happy places.

Surprisingly great little place. Staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable when helping with selecting drinks, even making things not on the menus. Nothing like it remotely close by.

Had a lovely drink in Simpsons last night. Great service from Barman. Highly recommend this friendly little bar, definitely a cut above the usual for Sutton town centre.
