(comprehensive review of all facilities) Really nice place, seems like a slick waiting room rather than a cold sterile laundromat. They have magazines to read, play good jazzy type music, have free wifi (check the wall for the password, not the network name!) & a generally nice atmosphere, with a couple of coin operated massage chairs! Facility wise: they have multiple free to use laundry baskets & a scooper in a box of powder on a $1 honour system. To use the machines you can use credit card, PayPal, coins OR they have a change machine that gives you tokens instead of coin (due to thief apparently) if you have too many tokens then you can spend them at the nearby cafe. Not an ideal method, so just use your card instead! There is (only 1 unfortunately) a large washer that fits multiple loads for $14 as well as a couple of other sizes of washer - including one that allows pet gear! The dryers are your normal bog standard ones. Not New express driers. But not outdated by any means. All in all, I actually enjoyed relaxing in here, instead of my usually reaction to laundromas which is; being annoyed I have to wait so long. So 5 stars!

Visited to wash my large extra King size dooner and has great facilities. It has many washers, and huge dooner size as well, plus a pet items only washer. Many dryers also. I love how you can use contactless pay and also receive a text message when your washing is done, as well as monitor it or book machines online. I wanted an extra rinse for my dooner, and called the number. I was instantly greeted with a polite man, Ben who straight away did it remotely for me since you can't select that. I was quite surprised how streamlined that was. The lighting is ambient, a big plus compared to the harsh bright white ones and why I didn't go to the one on my road. There's also 2 massage chairs and large table seating, and free fast wifi. Not much seating though like in some photos, but maybe not needed if people just pop to the cafe or Coles nearby. They seem to have thought of everything, so will definitely use this laundromat again. The dryer was very cheap, but I thought the washer was a bit pricey, but you could definitely wash more than just a dooner in that huge one.

Having realised sometime ago that using a laundromat is more affordable than owning and running a dryer I have tried multiple places to do my laundry and none of them were as good as the Soap Bar (In Brunswick West). Located right on the tram line near both cafes and shops this laundromat has everything you could want and more: On site parking, Wifi access, card or cash options (great prices too), comfortable and abundant seating and massage chairs if you are so inclined. You can also wash your dog out the front! Since moving I have yet to find anywhere as good and regularly make the 20+ minute commute despite having several locations closer to home to do my laundry. I will have to try one of the other Soap Bar locations as it seems closer.

This place is the best! I mean the tiles are such a nice colour and it has a plastic plant waterer there. Also the book I read was probably the best piece of English literature since the 50 shades series or even twilight saga??? Anyway I also did some laundry there while I was being entertained by the above facts. Really liked it - recommend everyone sells their washers and dryers and goes here instead!!! Think of the extra space you could have too, doing it!!! Also the fire hydrant is really worth checking out, if you visit this place for no other reason than that big red beautiful cylinder, you are in for some treats.....

Great place for not only local people but also tourists, nice design and convenient payment methods, enjoy your massage chair services there while waiting for your clothes, also amazing local coffee nearby for your convenient choices, fabulous music and also great parking lots in font of the shop also parking sites on the left of the shop, shop is always busy however you can check from their website for your availability before coming in. Cleaning service is great as well so shop is always clean at your leisure. Great place in Mel, they also have their shops in Carlton, Richmond, Hawthorn, and Torquay

This is such a cute little laundry mat in Brunswick West! Really nice spot with a great range of facilities that are well kept! It's good that they've got enough seating for people to sit back and relax while waiting for their laundry to get done. Plus, there's a big ol bench in the middle of all the machienes so you can start sorting your stuff without getting in the way of anyone else. Pretty cheap!... Not that I go to laundry mats often so the long-term cost might be a bit less pleasant... But for the sake of washing/drying big sheets or blankets every now and then, it's ideal!

There are quite a few laundromats in our area and some of them are possibly cheaper, but I always come back here. There are 3 different sizes washing machines including one that can hold up to 6 loads (very convenient) and there is even one which is pet friendly. It's got lots of seating, handy wifi, you can pay in cash, with tokens or with PayPal and it really feels like a welcoming place to wash your clothes. Next door there's a lovely, little cafe and in the carpark you can even find a dog-washing facility. The best laundromat this side of the Yarra, I reckon.

Great little laundry place! Small, medium and large machines including one machine that is dedicated to pet items! Really clean and well maintained. You can pay by token, coin or via your phone which is super convenient. Free wifi and some parking spaces dedicated for customers. To top it off they’ve got lounges, massage chairs and a big table to sit at while your waiting—or you could pop next door to one of the best cafes in the area.

So Google keeps asking me to add a review of Soap Bar even though I'm pretty sure I already have. But you know what, this place is so good I'm adding another and updating with 5 stars! It's so well equipped, so easy to use (pay with PayPal over your phone! What won't they think of next?) And it's actually pleasant to hang out in for the 45 minutes my weekly wash takes. I've always avoided launderettes before but no more.

More a 3.8 Clean, well presented, close to cafes and shops. New commercial whitegoods in good working order. Token machine 1 token = $1, $6 or $8 washing machines, 1 token per 8 min on dryer. Can use pay pal even. 2 Hour parking outside the door...Half hour jog, followed by a half hour run, a quick beer and a chat later and I still see my van hasn't been clamped. Will use again, if only because my mates live near.

This is our goto launderette. Modern industrial washer and dryer are available here. They have many payment options such as coins, card payment (recently added), and online payment via card/paypal from their website. The space is also nice and there is plenty of sitting space, free wifi, massage chairs. The ambient and music is also nice, so you can bring your laptop and work while you do your laundry.

Decent place and good ambience. You're welcome to get your laptop or tablet and work while the cycle goes on. The service via helpline is also very good. Additionally there are massage chairs also. 4 star only because it is slightly expensive to other places in Brunswick. Also, the working space is limited when there are 4 or more people getting their laundry either from washer or dryer. Cheers!!

Funky, clean, modern and welcoming laundromat. Love the little touches that many other laundromats don’t have such as laundry powder, wifi, washing baskets, a sink, lost and found and massage chairs. It’s also nice and warm on cold nights, which is a bonus! The only thing lacking is a vending machine (which the website says it has?). There’s a Coles and a cafe nearby but they both close early :(

Clean with free detergent best things a about it. Other than that crowded and mad drama with people be competitive over machines. Not necessarily the business’s fault that there aren’t enough machines. It is much more expensive than any other laundromat I’ve been to, just switched to a new place that’s literally $5 cheaper per load. And no annoying music playing.

Has high quality washing machines in varying sizes and plenty of large dryers. Great to do multiple loads at once. You can see if there are washer/dryers available online before you go in so you don't have to wait. There are two massage chairs available, free wifi and a large table to fold clothes on. Soap Bar makes doing the washing quick, easy and comfortable.

Very clean place with high-quality clean machines. I've never had to wait for a machine and it's more like a cafe than a laundrette. They have a nice couch and WiFi which is handy. There's also a carpark next door with a few spaces of you can't get parking spot on the street. Little cafe is only twenty odd metres away too with great coffee and service.

I enjoy it. Big couches and tables to loaf around on, or read or draw or do work. Smells nice too. Once there were models doing a photo shoot there like it was no big deal. I think they were enjoying the juxtaposition between the glamour and the banality of the laundromat but the jokes on them because the laundromat was quite nice for a laundromat.

Yeah it v chill here with the couches and the tasteful vintage tunes. Like a nice place to wait for a few while your clothes dry my friend. But damn if it's not the most expensive laundromat in the region. Like I get it you got overheads, but I remember a time when $1 would buy you 12 mins of drying time, not this paltry 8 you get nowadays.

Most AWESOME launderette.... lovely and clean, machines are effective - not too harsh and they work a treat...and really really quick. Very reasonable costs too (and they even have a 'machine watch' online feature which shows you how busy they are...and also where your wash is up to if you aren't there)....so pleased we found you!!

Excellent customer service. These guys are an example to every other business owner. In relation to one of our queries, they went above and beyond to check the Cctv footage and give us an accurate answer all the while knowing it was for a customer who spent $1 in the shop. It was my first Laundromat experience and I found it so relaxing and enjoyable. Cafe right next door, I was able to read and study and get some Vitamin D. Noticed some charging ports, and the free wi-fi service. Just super cosy and wholesome. I loved it. I won't even be getting my washing machine repaired anymore.

Soap Bar has been my laundry away from home now for almost five years (and two appartments) and all I can say is they never fail to impress. They have great music, free wifi and the best customer service you could possibly ask for. It’s worth catching a tram with your laundry basket to get to these guys!

The owners seem to have thought about the little things that other Laundromats do not seem to do. they provide baskets, free laundry powder, and many options for payments. It was my first time yesterday and I genuinely enjoyed going there. The place is clean and has a positive vibe.

Went in today and had issues. Unfortunately I was unable to contact anyone as I had no phone. I left a review stating my problem and the owners were quick to apologise and sort it out. Outstanding customer service! Also a very clean and comfortable place to do your laundry.

Great place to do laundry, the coin set up is not so good having to use their specific coins if you forget to bring some meaning you’re stuck with loosing out on money but a cafe a couple of doors down does accept those coins as legal tender

Great facilities. As a first time user there was everything we needed available…even complimentary powder. Fast washers and dryers. A dedicated pet bedding washer was also useful. A peaceful Saturday morning spent there. Lovely owners.

I just recently moved to the area and found myself without a washing machine. Love this place. Everything is easy to use and I love not having to collect coins all week can pay with a card. I look forward to doing my washing now.

I always use this launderette.It is so convenient with touch free payment option. $3 for 24 minute dry. They provide soap powder as well. The interior is well lit and neat. Love this place for its cute interior design.
