I came here specifically looking for Chinese calligraphy/brush painting supplies. First things first--their book collection is fantastic! I wanted some guide manuals on Xieyi (spontaneous) brush painting and had at least 6 different options for flowers alone. Books are not shrink-wrapped, so I was able to flip through all of them and pick my favorite. I also found a Chinese calligraphy practice book with 20 sheets of water-writing paper (same stuff they put on Buddha boards and magic cloths) for $5.50! Prices for the books are quite cheap, in my opinion (I spent $16 for a full-color 150 page book). Actual painting supplies seem generally low quality (but it is all cheap!). Their Yi de ke bottled ink that they sell for $1.50 is *definitely* fake! It smelled awful, like garbage mixed with machine oil, and couldn't produce a concentrated black. I threw it away immediately. Likewise, I bought a cheap <$1 brush with extremely low expectations--I thought that I might need a cheap brush that I could abuse for experimental art styles or for just mixing up a lot of paint--and still regretted that purchase. I constantly sheds around 2 hairs for *every single stroke* I make with it. I'm sure it's already lost 50 hairs at this point, with no end in sight. I have to constantly pick hairs off my paper or out of my ink whenever I decide to use it. I'm happy enough with my bamboo roll-up mat and my cheap practice rice paper, though.

I have gone to this place so many times, and I have to say it surprises me! It’s a small place, and you can find so many publications! And most of the prices it’s around five bucks; some of the books may be about fifteen bucks, Overall, the prices are low(compared to Amazon or the other famous books store), and the quality is excellent! Some new books even just cost around six bucks! I even had a conversation with their employee. The lovely and friendly lady told me that their employer doesn’t want to expect to make a lot of money on it. They want to share their love and Chinese traditional culture with everyone at an affordable price. And it’s not just a books store,You can also consider it a Chinese souvenir store too! I have found some fantastic stuff here. And it’s makes me very joyful every time I visit. I love this place a lot! Let’s support them!

It’s my first time at this bookstore (2022.6). So many different types goods and books that you can choose from. The store is organized well. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. The cashier used two hands to receive my credit card and also used two hands to pass the receipt and pen to me when processing check out. Simile face, “thank you” “see you soon”, used two hands to pass the bag of my purchase to me… I really like their service :) and I’ll come back to shop again for sure.

Most of the things are in Chinese. Chinese books, Chinese decorations, Chinese instruments, Chinese dvds, vcds, cds, and these friendly and nice Chinese people, I mean. The whole layout is well functioned, and everything inside this store is well organized via kinds of sections. I never get disappointed when going there and trying to buy some books.

Great place to find Chinese related items. I personally love their huge selections of Chinese painting supplies and books. We also managed to find discounted feng shui charms. If you are looking for several feng shui related items, visit this first. Way better than what I got on Amazon. A lot of cheap Chinese New Year decor & joss paper too.

I come here for calligraphy and brush painting supplies. They have a pretty good selection of Chinese books. Low low prices! Inventory doesn't stay the same, so if you see something you like, it's wise to stock up.

They have a larger collection of Chinese books, DVDs, kiddie educational books, and lots of miscellaneous dime store bric a bracs and curio store items. Interesting to rummage around for play toys for the kiddies.

Great place to buy a variety of Chinese new year decorations. This one piece is a nice addition to the home. Plus, many Chinese books in store too, probably worthy another visit to look at the books.

This place was super cool! The staff was kind and helpful and I ended up leaving with more than I needed! I think it's a great place to go to buy gifts and you can't beat the price.

Lots of Chinese drama DVDs and musical CDs. Good collection of art albums. Supplies of Chinese painting and calligraphy change periodically, so quality can be inconsistent.

  • AM V

Large collection of Chinese books at a very reasonable rate! And, what’s more important they open during weekend!! Thank you! Hopefully you’ll have online options soon!

  • C Productions

This place is hidden and has tons of Asian books. They also have a nice selection of adult DVDs and books along with spider man and Captain America. Come here for now

A hidden Chinese book store. Selling variety of books, movies and "only seem in China" store items such as Chinese checker, little people comic books ect.

  • Julia Tat

One of the good and low-priced resources to go for some Chinese stuff. It's worth it with the start of authenticating Chinese stuff. They moved.

  • P. H.

Good. Was able to find what I need, wish they carried more HK books, such as yearly almanac. Book text is in simplify chinese, no traditional.

  • Huan Chen

Thousands of Chinese books, price mostly ranged in $5~$10; calligraphy materials, hundreds of unexpected daily use small items.

  • Houpen Chen

Lots of books that almost covered all areas you can think of. Price is very reasonable. I like to recommend to all book lovers。
