It's a nice, quiet park with several tree shaded paths with many benches along the way. You can reserve a covered area with several picnic tables (or use it if not reserved that day). There are also tables scattered around the park, some with charcoal grills nearby. There are two play areas -- one for children under five and another for over five to twelve. There are a few fenced tennis courts, a baseball diamond, and a volleyball area. It also has a little gazebo and a covered area near the play areas if you need to get out of the sun or if it unexpectedly rains. The bathrooms are acceptable for a public park. It has more of a forest feel than open green space due to all the trees, but I personally prefer it that way. It's open from 5am to 10pm. It has a parking lot with a reasonable amount of spaces.

I'm so sad we moved away from here. I used to walk and pokemon hunt consistently here and now I have a son and I love it even more. I travel to visit now.
Playground
Two playgrounds for different age groups. Baby swings and older swings. There's also a tennis court and baseball field.
Restrooms
They are always clean and decently stocked. They are nice, but not a/c controlled, however they are shaded
Dog-friendliness
Great trails for long walks or quick walks. Very shaded so perfect for summer walks. There's trash cans as well.
Picnic area
Large covered picnic areas for large groups. It's cemented and benched. Lots of trash cans available. I believe there are grills too, but I would double check.

One of our favorite parks in Austin that has a special place in our hearts. Plenty of shade and green areas. The playgrounds are suitable for different age groups. The trails are good enough to jog or have your kids ride their bikes. The green field area is large enough that you can enjoy it on crowded days without bumping into other people. Tennis courts are nice too! Why is this a special place for us? When we moved to Austin, THIS was the park that my daughters fell in love with. We used to live really close to it and we came here few times a week. This made their transition to the area easier to handle. We also celebrated the first birthday of my youngest daughter here. Reserving the pavilion was easy and affordable.

My daughter and I go there frequently.. Has a 1-5 year old playground and another 5 years and up for bigger kids, cold water fountains, bathrooms and the fire department is across the street so EMS is near by. Plenty of benches and a few picnic tables to use as well as bigger covered areas with tables for larger gatherings. We hear all kinds of spoken languages.. It's kinda neat hearing them all. I should probably stop bringing my guitar so people stop asking me if I give lessons lol. It's a nice park though.. Even if we come home covered in sand because my kid wants to dig in the volley ball court. 3 out of 5 stars. Wouldn't change a thing. Oh and its almost entirely covered in shade.

My son's class went to this park after a field trip. We loved the trees and playground. So much room to run around and have fun. The restrooms could use some improvement. 2 out of 3 doors did not shut properly in the women's restroom. Lots of amenities at this park. They have tennis courts, 2 playgrounds, a pavilion and a field to play ball on. The trails were well maintained.
Playground
2 playgrounds with different recommended age ranges
Restrooms
Restrooms could use improvement. Doors didn't shut properly and one was out of toilet paper
Dog-friendliness
Several trails to wal along
Picnic area
Several small picnic tables and a large pavilion

We love this park! I live in the apartments next door and I've been taking my boys there for almost two years, ranging in ages from 2-6. It has grown with them well and they adore it. The toddler area is very nice and has a great range of things, a few swings, a couple of bouncy seats of which on is a dinosaur, nice tennis courts, fabulous little trails, a cute white gazebo my boys like to pretend is all kinds of things, and a truly fantastic big kid playground! They are entertained for hours! The park is always VERY CLEAN, people are ncie and respectful, and the bathrooms are some of the best I've seen in a public park. Cute, nice, large, and well maintained!

  • Matt Jackson

This park is AMAZING! Rarely do I love a park as much as this one. This one has it all and it's truly a gem. They have 2 large playscapes. One for the little ones and the other for bigger kids. The park was renovated last year and now everything is new. There are two tennis courts, a soccer field/kickball field, pavilions that can be reserved, sand volleyball court, bar-b-que pits, a walking trail, swings, restrooms; must I go on? :) It's got it all. And probably the best of all is the shade! During the summer this is one of the few parks you can take small children to because of all the beautiful shade trees.

This is a very beautiful place suitable for morning walk , yoga, etc. It has 2 playgrounds, one for small kids, one for older kids. There are lots of trees to provide a cool shade. It has so much room to run and fun around. They have tennis courts, 2 playgrounds, a pavilion and a field to play ball on. The trails were well maintained. Restrooms need some improvement.
Playground
Two playgrounds for kids. One kind of adventure park
Restrooms
Need improvement.
Dog-friendliness
This is a dog friendly place. Has plenty of space and trails.
Picnic area
Has some sitting arrangements.

We often walk our dog here on the weekend. It’s a nice, spacious space that generally isn’t too crowded. There are restrooms available but are closed during cold weather. There are a couple of playground areas for different aged kids. There are some spaces you can reserve for family events, lots of park benches spread around, and a couple of tennis courts (check availability, right now they are marked to be closed for resurfacing but I havent seen them doing anything yet). They sometimes have dog bags for waste removal. Lots of squirrels can be spotted, especially on the East side.

  • Emanuel Sosa

This place is great, we do Bible studies on Sundays there and always see people picking up trash on those days, employees or volunteers i don't know. BUT the restrooms, just like most parks, are horrid so bring some Clorox wipes Nice gazebos, tennis courts and peaceful walking trails, not many homeless but those people I've seen so far are kind if approached and keep to themselves and don't bother anyone.
Restrooms
The restrooms need much attention and bleach but it's a public park it's what's happens
Picnic area
Gazebos aplenty

  • Jennifer Y.

This park is great in that the size is just right for our small family. There is a playground for large kids and one for smaller kids. The park is really nicely shaded by tons of trees so it doesn't get too hot during the day. Due to the trees there are quite a bit of mosquitoes so during the summer evenings you should keep an eye out for that but otherwise we have found no issues with this park and love the size of it! There isn't tons of parking but we have never had problems finding parking when we visited.

  • Linnea Lemon

Surprise! This park is packed with features that make it a gem for all ages. Wha wha? You say? Parks in north Austin are all sad little playscapes..not here. Springwoods parks has several playscapes suitable for a range of ages. Bathrooms, easy level trails.for walking plus...they have a sports field tennis court and volleyball pit. And .it is not in a commons with homes facing it ..where you feel like mrs kravitz is tracking your moves with her Ring doorbell camera and reporting back to your personal trainer.

  • Andrew Tijerina

I’m quite fond of this park and what it has to offer. I’ve visited throughout the seasons, and with the tree cover it is cool during the summer and the cooler parts of the year you can catch the trees as the leaves start to fall. Lots to do with the little ones with multiple playgrounds and a great place overall to take a break. Highly recommend. Given it’s close proximity to many restaurants you can swing by for a quick lunch break or just get out of the house. Definitely should check it out.

  • Rebecca Silvert

This is a great neighbourhood park. They have several playscapes for all ages, plenty of swings, tennis courts, a pavilion, and shaded walking trails. It's usually fairly busy during the day, I like the fact that my toddler can usually find someone to play with, even outside of peak hours. The sand volleyball courts could use a good rake, but they don't seem to get much use, more of an oversized sand box than anything. Our whole family likes this little park, even the dog (on leash only.)

  • Kezia Shugrue

This has been our neighborhood park since 1995. It's always been kept clean and in good repair, a lovely place to bring kids of all ages. There's a good assortment of playground equipment, as well as fun options for teens and adults. I've lost count of the birthday parties we've had here. Also, for the past 3 years, it's been a great place to play Pokemon GO, with 7 Pokestops and 2 gyms. And Springwoods has lots of pleasant areas to take photos of your favorite Pokemon.

  • AndrewJBushard

As you can tell from other reviews, this park caters to families. I've noticed that from visiting. I love serenity and calmness, so maybe when families with their kids aren't there, this park would exude serenity and calmness. Furthermore, they added soap to the bathroom after the pandemic started, so let's celebrate their cleanliness! I love the fact that this Park has a Little Free Library in it! May it forever keep this Little Free Library operating!

  • Andrea Schultz

This is the best park around. We have gone to many parks, "big" and "small" all around NW Austin, Leander, Roundrock, Pflugergille, but this one seems to have the best coverage and park size. There are nice trails around and through the park, a tennis court, gazebos, two playscape, a soccer/baseball field, and a volleyball court. There are also ma y poke stops if you're interested in catching, raiding, and fighting.

  • Gabe Ahn

This is a great neighborhood park! Spacious, very shaded, and usually plenty of little ones running around to keep two little girls socialize and play with new friends. The volleyball court doubles as a fantastic sand pit for kids so bring some sand toys! 2 playgrounds separate the kids by ages which is really thoughtful if you have toddlers. Love this park and we go there few times a week!

  • BiggQu

Beetles are a big problem here. Nice little neighborhood park.
Playground
Slides (5), swings (2), tire swing, plastic rock climbing & other things.
Restrooms
Restrooms aren't always clean bc of the bugs.
Dog-friendliness
Keep your dog on a leash & pickup after them. There's a little trail.
Picnic area
Benches throughout the park, 2 covering sitting areas.

  • Lisa Bauder

This absolutely stunning park features large canopies of beautifully old trees, 2 robust playgrounds for the kiddos, a walking trail, picnic tables, bathrooms and a tennis court. It is deceiving, since all of this is nestled on this extremely busy street, but absolutely stop in and find yourself a beautiful bench to enjoy the views. This park is definitely one of our favorites!

  • Priyanka Bhatt

This is the best neighborhood park our family has been too. Lots of kids on a good sunny day. The park has a walking trail inside the park, two play structures, two tennis courts, a green field for soccer. The park also have covered shelters to rent for parties. It's a great place to play when it gets too hot in Austin as it's fully shaded by the giant oak trees.

  • Giana Jinx

The park is cute, not anything spectacular and it's very busy. Bug spray is an absolute must. I have not gotten a mosquito bite in months, and I got about 15 in the 20 minutes I spent here. I was watching the mosquitoes land on my shoulder and bite me through my shirt, just hundreds of tiny baby mosquitoes everywhere. I've never seen so many.

  • Vanessa Walker

This park is nice. My daughter loves the different structures and gazebo. The squirrels are fun to watch as they did up their burried acorns and jump from tree to tree. I really like that they have two sets of swings for children between 2-5 years of age. The bathrooms are typically clean and stocked with toilet paper. Fun park to visit.

  • Lindsay Baker

Beautiful park, with huge trees throughout. Playgrounds are for younger children. Older kids have little equipment to play on. *Since the City of Austin has taken over maintenance of the park, the condition is sad. The grass in field is ankle high. There are too many ant beds to count. The condition of the park is very undesirable!

  • Jyothi Krishnakumar

We ❤️ this park! It is such a gem! We went by chance after going to the Aquarium and Indigo Play ( which is nearby) because the kiddos still had energy to burn . It's huge with 2 playgrounds, one for small kids, one for older kids. There are tons of trees to provide a cool shade. All in all... a great park! …

  • Dean Stroder

Big playscapes, one for bigger kids, and another for the little ones. It has so much shade! There are books for adults and kids in a box, bring one borrow another. A lot of picnic tables and a huge covered area perfect for Bbq's and Birthdays. Volleyball, Tennis and Basketball courts as well. One of my favorite parks.

  • Drew Carls

Great park with two different aged playgrounds. Volleyball court, tennis courts and a softball/kickball field. Also three different walking trails around the park. Several picnic tables at the park with BBQ grills and yep covered pavilions that are available to reserve. Restrooms available in the middle of the park.

  • hello Gello

Nice neighborhood park with tennis courts and walking trails. We lived around the corner and my boys used to get into fights there. They said kids would say "meet at the park after school " and the park was springwoods.public bathrooms are sometimes locked and we could never figure out who to call about it.

  • Bob Bonstead

Great place to take the kids. We had a picnic, played catch football, and flew kites. Nice playground with vinylized play structure. Tennis courts, trellised picnic area, lots of picnic tables, backstops for baseball/softball, and big grassy play field. Had a great time there with grandkids.

  • Deborah Blake

Lovely playscape for the kids. Two septate play areas for younger and older although most kids play on both at one point or another. Clean. We didn't use the restrooms, but ate at one of the tables next to the play area with friends. Made a great place for the kids to get together and play!

  • L Williams

Beautiful trees throughout the park, with nice little paths people were biking on, has lots of smaller sections for baseball, tennis, playground, ramadas, etc, but has a great flow between all the sections so it doesn't feel choppy or blocked off at all. Not too loud, and really idyllic.

  • Meredith Roberts

Very shady so fantastic in the summer. It's a great park overall with two different playgrounds (1 for older kids, 1 for younger), 2 tennis courts, sand pit, trails, bathroom, open flat field. Just a little chilly on fall or winter days when the sunshine would be nice addition to play.

  • Angela Hutchison

Great park with two playscapes, one for smaller children and toddlers. Has lots of trees,, a walking trail, baseball/soccer field, barbecue and picnic tables (some covered) and two tennis courts. I come here frequently with our toddler and we've made some wonderful park friends.

  • Jethro Woo

Very good neighborhood park. Has two playground for small or big kids. Also have a field can play soccer or frisbee. There's even a tennis court and a beach volleyball court. Perfect place for kid to run around whole day. During weekend with good weather sometime it's crowded.

  • S D

This park is a hidden gem in a hyper-expanding, gazillion new people, Austin. The play equipment is well maintained and walkways are trimmed and tidy. Picnic tables to the trails are graced with oaks and green grass. The only downside is the lack of soap in the restrooms.

  • James

Beautiful park that has two playground areas (for big kids and younger), a nice size field, a tennis court and a stunning mini forest with beautiful trees and little trails intertwined around it all. Best part? Most of it is shaded and secluded in its own way.

  • Sommer Chaka

One of my favorite neighborhood parks! It is always well kept and there's a variety of things you can do here. They have fields, a playground, running trails, tennis courts, large covered seating and a sand volleyball court. Something for everyone!

  • Elizabeth Siek

Homeless crackhead sleeping and roaming playground. Not family friendly. Very dangerous. Not sure how to post pictures but I got some.
Playground
Dangerous needles and homeless lurking
Restrooms

Nice, large park right off Anderson Mill. Two playscapes for 2-5yr olds and 5-13yr olds. Tennis court, big field, lots of trees and little bridges. Clean. It also has a little take a book, leave a book library station. Park is closed from 10p-5am.

  • vm keeler

Our organization had a team building potluck there and the facilities was really nice. Playgrounds, tennis, volleyball. The pavilion was especially nice on a rainy day with about 60 people having a great time, eating, greeting, and team building.

  • Scott Bond

Nice and shady park with walking/jogging trails, a pavilion with picnic tables, 2 play grounds, 2 tennis courts, a sand volleyball area, and a large field for soccer, etc. Great place for taking the kids to play, walking the dog, or exercising.

  • Matthew Nolte

A great local, family park with lots of shade, especially nice on hot summer days. There are 2 separate playgrounds for younger and older children. Plus there are plenty of sports areas and multiple picnic spots. A hidden jewel of NW Austin!

  • Taylor Paul

We love that this park is surrounded by trees and gives lots of shade on hot Texas summer days! There are two playgrounds, one for bigger kids and one for smaller. The park also offers tennis courts, a sand volleyball court and a short

  • Zoë Rodriguez

Great park for all ages. There are onsite bathrooms (clean) There are 2 playscape areas- which includes a separate area for younger children. This park is very clean and is surrounded by a beautiful wooded area. Best park in this area!

  • Janine Prukop

The play areas are big enough to accommodate a lot of people, which is good because there can get to be a crowd during the weekends. They have a little free library, pavilions, and two separated playgrounds for younger and older kids.

  • James Beams

This is a fun park for kids with a few play structures nested between large live oak trees. Plenty of room to run around. Last time we visited there was also a neighborhood event working on keeping the park clean and well-maintained.

  • Stephanie

The outer loop is about half a mile, it's nice to run laps here. The park has tennis courts, a children's playground, swings and a few gazebos for family events. A variety of things to do in the nice park with not too much traffic.

  • Stephen Pulsipher

A fun park with a playground for younger kids and one for older kids. Sand volleyball court, tennis court, and walking trail make it fairly full featured. Has bathrooms, which is always a plus, thought they could use a little TLC.

  • Sten Drescher

A small but well maintained local park. Perhaps most importantly for a geek who might not otherwise get much exercise, there are six Pokemon Go stops spaced perfectly for a 5 minute walking loop, as well as a Pokemon Go gym.

  • M G

One of the best part in north Austin. Have playground for kids of all ages. The park has baseball ground, tennis court, volleyball court, picnic tables/shed as well as a decent size trail. Worth going with family & friends!

  • Lisa Foreman

I fell in love with this park. Its perfect for pets and a picnic! I like how they have 2 separate playscapes, one for the tiny kids and one for the big kids! It has sand volleyball, tennis courts, but no basketball court.

  • Winter Ghaly

This park is very fun for the family! Field for baseball, soccer, or to just run around! Sand volleyball, tennis courts, and 2 playscapes for all ages, a walking trail that goes around the whole park area. …

  • Bruce Cardwell

Nice quiet park with great trails. Two tennis courts, one the surface is very bad, the other not too bad. No lights and no reservations, first come first on. Early mornings are mostly OK for getting on these courts.

  • Nolan

Awesome Picture perfect family friendly park. Well shaded. Restrooms. Can get crowded but it has enough room to accommodate. Big fields, trails, picnic tables, tennis courts, playground equipment all in abundance.

  • April Davis

Good little park with walking/bike trail, tennis courts, and trees that shade you from the sun in the summer. My only suggestion is to beware of the ants, and the restrooms may need to be tended to more often.

  • Sreejith Gopinadhan

A simple well kept property. More of a place to go with kids and spent some time. Its crowded mostly in the evening, barbecue pits are at open places rather than in the corner somewhere. An OK place to unwind.

  • Guillermo Treviño

Shaded park all year round! Fantastic playing grounds divided by ages so kids can play safely. Extra bonus: Kerbey Lane Cafe is 1/2 mile away...get early breakfast with the kiddos and then go to the park!

  • Sara Gallardo

There's a small kid and big kid section, tennis courts, a walking trail, a big field, and generally ther parking is good. There are bathrooms, but they're not exciting. The park itself is great though.

  • Dave Stastny

It was so much nicer before the city of Austin took it over. The small baseball fields were always mowed and the grass looked great. Now it's all weeds and needs to be mowed. Thanks City of Austin.

  • Rosie Manalo

This is a nice little tucked away park. It is great for younger kids and has picnic areas. The entrance is easy to miss so slow down when getting close. Definitely recommend if you have toddlers!

  • cudadisney

This is a huge park with two playgrounds and a baseball practice area. The toddler area is great. Only downside is the baseball area is not well maintained and we got eaten alive by bugs. …

  • DontSayHurry

My gurus lived it here as did I. Tons of shade from the trees and great for all ages and your pets too. Great place to stop n reeks after a long day at work and let the kids stretch n play too.

  • Andrew Smith

Great play grounds and variety for age suggested equipment. Trail is mostly dirt which is only good for bikes. Plus the trail isnt very long, besides that great place with plenty of shade.

  • James Calcaben

A nice cozy park with plenty of trees and shade structures. It's a great place to spend an afternoon walking around. For Pokémon Go players, there are 5-6 Pokéstops and a gym in the area.

  • Sweet Azalea

Loved the squirrels! They are super friendly and ate from our hands. Playgrounds are nice for kids, we visited in winter, I'm sure we will enjoy more when the landscape is green again.

  • Tenny Krikorian

My girls loved this park! Will definitely go back again. Love that the toilets were clean and the park seemed pretty awesome and had a good variety of things for my kids to play on! <3

  • Jaye Young

A Great family park just gets crowded. Not a lot of parking. Great to walk your dog as long as everyone follows the leash law. Shaded. Playscape, tennis, soccer field, party pavilion.

  • Connie C

We have been here a couple times now and there always seems to be a pretty good size crowd there. The parks are nice and we'll maintained and the birds and squirrels are friendly.

  • Connie Mauer

Great park, lots of shade & places for parents and grandparents to sit & watch kids. One drawback: only 2 swings for the big kids. They're always waiting for a turn on the swings.

  • Patricia Martinez

Love this park. There's a nice path to walk, two play areas for the kids, a pavilion for gatherings, and always very clean. I take my kids every weekend and we have a great time.

  • Lorri Cooper

Best playground equipment around. Lots of nice shade. Always kids to play with. Parking is minimal though- early mornings have boot camps which take over the field and parking.

  • Rebecca Gray

Great park! The little one loves it! Only thing to improve would be to make sure there is enough mulch in the play area for tue youner kids so they can reach the monkey bars.

  • Frank C.

Best Park in Austin for small kids. Tons of trees, bbq stands, soccer field, voolyball-sand pit and play scape. Very popular so be prepared to look for parking on nice days.

  • elizabeth espinoza

Lots of shade and nice trail to walk or run. Has a baseball/ soccer field and 2 playgrounds. Only down side is there isn't a lot of lighting so you can't stay past sunset.

  • Greg Blackman

Beautiful park, with tons of trees. Two playground areas, one designed for 2-5 years old and the other for older children. Plenty of picnic tables, an overall great park.

  • Amanda Holt

Love coming here. Lots of shade and a nice little trail around the park. Multiple playgrounds for different age groups. Tennis court. Great neighborhood park.

  • Stephen and Penny

Love this park. Two different playscapes--one for younger children and one for older kids. And all the trees make it a great outdoor place to beat the heat.

  • Michael Bacon

We love our neighborhood park. There are very few exits though, so be careful if you're alone. It's easy to corner someone, so it's a dangerous park.

  • Desmond Calloway

Great little park with tennis, volleyball, softball and a nice area for events. The pool is cool and there are even several Pokestops for the kiddos.

  • Dara Sosa

This park is in an awesome place with lots of trees that provide shade, picnic tables, tennis courts, and a separate playground for the little ones.
