(This is NOT going to be a good review, and UNFORTUNATELY one star is the LOWEST RATING I can leave) I called to ask the store two simple questions, since I had heard some interesting feedback about this market, I figured I’d give them a try. The questions I had were not difficult for their associates to answer NOR did they require me calling Corporate Office for their answers either, they were: 1.) There are Some Grocery Markets that have you pay to utilize their store shopping carts, does this store (Super King) do this? (I wanted to know so that way I was prepared, and would also know if it was worth my time to go to the store or not)?? -{this is a fairly (especially in today’s society) decent and proper question.}- 2.) I am a person with multiple disabilities with an upper and lower back injury; I wanted to know if you have motor carts for customers to utilize for accessibility (AGAIN ANOTHER Fairly decent and proper question) that also required either a yes or a no for an answer, but of course I was put on hold for over 10 minutes in both in Northridge location and the Van Nuys location and then when somebody finally got on the phone they laughed and hung up!! I don’t expect special treatment but one thing I do insist that I get is professional demeanor. Take your job seriously F.D.S.!!!! If you don’t like your job or you find it too complicated to answer simple questions which require either a yes or a no, feel free to get somebody more competent to answer. It’s not as if I was asking for the theory of relativity or somebody who need a PhD in English language to be able to understand what I was saying!!! How UNPROFESSIONAL, TASTELESS and JUST downright RUDE!!!! Customer should not be treated like that with her face-to-face or on the phone. Period. Again, if you don’t like your job or you find that it is too difficult for you to do and maybe you should find something else to do what you do not have human interaction. And by the way just an FYI here, I believe management for allowing this because what YOU, Management, continue to allow to happen and not disciplining your employees do not treat customers in that manner, will UNFORTUNATELY CONTINUE to happen. This is not rocket science to figure out much less then have it be presented to anyone to understand. I haven’t even walked into the place and unfortunately I received what I received. Again, I’m not asking for special treatment I just asked for two simplistic questions to be answered professionally with either a yes or no I care not what you do Now... you and your unprofessional staff with simple no education that I’m judging based on how they carried themselves have beyond proved that point. And to me, that’s sad. In today’s day and age we need to be thankful for those of us who are still able to work. Believe it or not, it’s still a blessing Period one should not take their positions for granted. Ever. So roughly, you lost a client, who would be a very loyal proper client and word-of-mouth travels fast; sad to say, negative travels quicker than positive. Your associates have a very unprofessional lousy demeanor. And I guess for me it is a bit of a blessing that I’m not going in, because I would not want to give you people my money, you’re not worthy of it good day to you and while you’re at it get your employees to get an education. #UNACCEPTABLE!!!

Guys if you respect yourself save your time and keep yourself away from this very low, old market . Right there they have very bad, unprofessional, zero service, the employees whose names are maria, hispanic and the guy named ara they both don’t know who is customer, they are zero in their service and they are very nervous to their customers like me , they don’t know how to deal with the permanent customer , aggressive service they have especially either the hispanic cashiers or managers there . These both even do not care for customer’s opinion then why they work in the market? It better they stay at home if they are nervous. Hereby it means that owner of the market should give them zero value for their service. Very rude behavior they have , plus they have disgusting smell in market and they always charge from customer more money and they do fraud as well . No organic food there as well . Plus unprofessional directorate in the market , it is funny that the one whose name was ara he was only assistant there but he lied me and told that he is a boss in that market , OMG , it is really very sad when they lie to their customer about his fake position . That one ara or that zero maria do not even know they have that business or work thanks to us as we pay money in that market and their salary is from out of customer wallet hence you there do not lie people who come to market , otherwise God will give you back the same way , be cautious there , Plus , they should read some books about customer service , otherwise they just will loose valuable customers like us as I will fix this mistake and will never go back that low market . I do never recommend you to purchase anything from that low market if you are meticulous about your health and value your time and if you want to be far from fraud from them so do not attend this market . At the end , the one main thing about the staff in the market that employees as maria or are they both are Racist to their customers there , keep in mind … racist’s market ..

My Favorite Supermarket....but Although it shouldn't matter, somehow it feels like it does, I am a 63-year-old African American male. I have an MBA from Columbia University (I was actually wearing one of their sweatshirts during my visit today). On my way home from Church I stopped at Super King in Van Nuys( I go there more than once per week). I got a few vegetables and dairy products. Then I purchased a bottle of wine from the internal liquor store. I put the bottle in my cart and checked out and paid for my groceries. This is where it goes left. I was having trouble with a clasp on my bracelet so I stopped at the counter where managers and customer service usually are. I asked a nice young lady to help me with the clasp and she agreed to help. While she was helping me another clerk came by and this woman asked me "did you pay for the wine in your cart?" I said "yes" Then she asked me to show her my receipt, which I did. I can understand her asking something to the effect of "did you remember to pay for the wine in your cart?" Although, the Liquor store takes care of that. However, after I said I paid for it, the conversation should have ended. If you are going to ask me for a receipt you are questioning my honesty and suspecting me of stealing. She should never ask that unless she has proof or at least probable cause that I was stealing something. Do they ask all people who leave the store with bottles of wine to show them a receipt? No, because I have done it dozens of times and not had that experience. In what world does a thief stop at the manager's desk to ask for assistance? I actually left the store, but after a few miles of driving, I went back to the store to complain. Super King ....train your employees better!!! If you accuse someone of stealing you need to be right! She didn't so much as offer an apology as she scurried away. I want an apology!! I checked out at 13:24:12 on the day the clocks were turned back so I think it was 12:25 - 12:40 on March 12, 2023, when this happened

Produce & meat department is fantastic. Very crowded. Be aware of rude shoppers, but don't let that deter you. 9/5: BE AWARE: Security Guard outside is NOT closely monitoring line, so customers are jumping in front of other customers. Security Guard needs to be more vigilant, or he needs to be replaced with someone who will do the job correctly. Especially, the high temperatures outside pose a hazard for customers who are following the rules. Inside the store, they have a specific route for customers to follow. When I asked "Why", the Security Guard was not able to answer this question. Why is a Security Guard in a customer service position, and "Why" is he enforcing a rule but does not know the reason. I needed one item, which was pistachios. So, I had to walk around the entire store to get one item. I was attempting to walk directly to the nut section, however, the Security Guard was not able to make an exception because he is not a customer service representative. In addition, the produce section was crowded as usual. Not a big deal. However, the stores attempt to control the flow of people is a failed experiment because people are still bunched together throughout the store. It's a grocery store, so it's going to be crowded. Accept it! When I asked the cashier about the specific route, she had no answer. This points to poor communication, and mis-managed information. However, everyone was well versed in saying "I don't know." Congratulations on enforcing rules without knowing the reason. Well done!

One of the things that sets this store apart is their selection of Mediterranean groceries, they have a great variety of feta, halva and olive oil, which is hard to find at other stores. The feta cheese was fresh and flavorful, and the olive oil was great quality, it is definitely worth the extra trip to get these products. (Yes, I am Mexican but I love me some good olive oil, feta cheese, fresh bread, halva, roumy cheese, and basturma). I was also impressed with the store's selection of Mexican groceries, they had a wide variety of spices, and other Mexican ingredients that are not commonly found in regular supermarkets like nopales and tomatillo. The prices for these items were also very reasonable, making it easy to prepare authentic Mexican dishes at home. The store was clean and well-organized, making it easy to find what I was looking for. The staff was also friendly and helpful, they were more than willing to answer any questions I had about the products. Overall, I had a great experience at Super King Markets. The store offers a wide range of Mediterranean and Mexican groceries at very reasonable prices. I would highly recommend this store to anyone looking for authentic Armenian/Mediterranean ingredients. On a side note, during the pandemic, this store literally saved my families lives, we would commute here to purchase food that we couldn't find elsewhere due to shortages.

I've found a hidden gem in the most unexpected of places - the Fujisan sushi at this Superking Market, this location provides the best services out of other locations. It's become my go-to spot for lunch, and I can't recommend it enough! Each visit, I'm consistently impressed by the freshness of their offerings. From the vibrant colors of the Nigiri to the well-prepared rolls, it's clear that quality is a priority. To be honest, their Nigiri Combo/Chef Choice is my fav. It's incredible to find such top-notch sushi in a grocery store setting. Above all, the staff is the heart of this place. The employee is always friendly, greeting customers with a genuine smile and often offering recommendations when I'm looking to try something new. I recently tried out the rainbow roll, and it’s just amazing! The quality is even better than sushi restaurants. And I wanted more ginger on the side, and the employee gave me a ton. For anyone in search of fresh, quick, and delectably prepared sushi, don't let the unconventional location deter you. This sushi place is a delightful surprise that keeps me coming back for more!

I love this store because it has a lot of good choices, particularly veggies and fruits, as well as some very unique ethnic offerings such as a great selection of bulk spices, breads, a very comprehensive butcher shop, and other hard-to-find items, all at a good price. However, the service is sub-par, specifically the manners of the employees. If your expectations of good service include hearing "Please" and "Thank you" then you'll want to pick another grocer. The cashiers are gruff and don not offer common courtesies whatsoever and robotically process orders. I have personally complained to one of the supervisors about this and she was very polite and listened and said she would take action. Perhaps this is result of great success, as the store is packed all the time. It could also be attributed simply to a gap in cultural norms and expectations. I prefer other stores with better customer service, however Super King has great variety and price value for those shopping mercenaries out there.

No, I will never shop here again. A cashier, Armine, took out the basil from the plastic bag to count them right on the scanner! That is so unhygienic! Scanners aren’t even cleaned after each customer. Even midst pandemic they wouldn’t wipe down the counters like other grocery stores do. I told her kindly, I don’t want them anymore. She gets all upset and starts talking in Armenian. Then the manger or shift manager comes yelling at me telling me do you know how many hands have touched it? She needs to do her job and count. Then ask me. Just how you asked me how many kales. Yes and that’s why I want one less person to touch the herbs I plan on buying. Also, a cashier is handling cash. Others are simply handling produce, not produce and cash. Customer service is definitely lacking in this store which is also a part of her job. Who hired these rude people? Rule #1 in customer service: always be friendly. Rude and disrespectful. This store lost my business and my family’s.

I found Super King a couple of years ago through a friend. What I love most about the grocery store is the Produce section. It is the first section you walk into when entering the store. This does not matter the location as I use both the store in Van Nuys and the one in Northridge. They have an amazing array of produce and the quality is superb. Fresh product, amazing variety (great for finding something you never tried before), prices that are THE BEST IN TOWN. I can buy two weeks worth of (single person) vegetables and fruits for under $20 and still have way more that I can use. The negative -- everyone shops there! It can be a chaotic mess with people with the normal "no one knows or pays attention" frustration. The one in Northridge is especially bad (no matter the time of day or which day of week) because the store is smaller in the produce section. No matter the negative it is worth the frustration as the selection, variety, freshness and prices outweigh.

I like to shop in this market for the good prices and variety of products, even if this time when is hard to found some products, the only thing I have a see not to good, and is something I experienced in other markets is, that some times bottles has been broken in the inside seal, after you open it, and they never refuse to change the products something that you as a King Makes don't do, yesterday afternoon a bayed a bottle of coffee and the seal was peeled off partial, I brought to the store and the person whom I speak to was not to nice, she shacked the note on her computer and told me in very not nice way, " You see NO EXCHANGE ", I am not perfect on my English but, is better way to say and show that you don't made exchange, I played for the products, and my family shop in this market, I consider we deserve better way to be treated, ofcourse not all the people is like that, sorry por that lady, maybe she was in not good mood.

  • Workin Progress

My favorite store! I was very disturbed on my visit last month at the Van Nuys store. I noticed a security guard who was at the front of the store, when I arrived, pop up on every aisle I was on. She later followed me aisle by aisle in the liquor store. She was back at her post in the front after I checked out. I know this because I had to exchange some bad tomatoes. I bought $298.00 in groceries and $247.00 in liquor. I only had my phone, keys and I wore a dress. I'm also over 55 and Black. I was very offended, annoyed and demeaned. It was unjustified, unwarranted, unnecessary blatant profiling. When I was leaving the second time I saw her rush to pursue a Black man who came in to do his shopping. Just wrong on all accounts. I hope management makes a change to their security and/or procedures. No one wants to shop somewhere where they're followed around like a criminal. I'm still pretty miffed!

  • Gary D.

My main place to go for shopping , the fruits and veggies are half price compared to absolutely every single store In existence not only that but there’s a huge variety you won’t find any where else! Really where else are u going to find over 6 varieties of just apples , for around 99cents a pound ? Where ? Plus meats are plentiful and fresh and are 1980’s prices. Plus a deli that really runs the entire length of the side of the store! It’s like shopping at a high Market store when it comes to variety and quality and a dollar store when it comes to prices! Plus yeah it’s a little crowded but they have over 16 cash registers and they are always open which makes the lines fly! Try that at Jons, where you have 12 people in the store and you wait 45 minutes at the cashier because they Refuse to open another one line!

  • Art Avag

Wow where do I begin. I specifically come here for the international food section and every time I say this is my last visit. Parking is a nightmare, people try to drive over you and don't even look twice. As I enter there are a million people there where I can't even move. Noone has any courtesy to move. People eat off from the shelves and leave garbage after themselves. Especially in the international breads that are in paper bags. Tried to buy some and almost every one of them was bitten by someone who tried and left it there. Left the store after 2 hours and add I walked to my car that I parked at the end, the shopping cart locks. Why would you program it to lock half way into the lot? 3 stars for international selection and some what decent prices. Everything else is a nightmare.

Do not go in!!!! COVID. Covid warning POSSIBLE EXPOSURE NO MANDATING MASKS!!!! They allowing people in without mask. I was infront with the worker Niomi she was running me up at customer service bc issues with their registered. 5 young men came without masks said rhey need mask. They did not have any. They asked if they can go inside she said sure u don't need it. I kindly reminded her of the mandate mask requires she said no they are not. She said there's nothing I can do they can go in if rhey want eventhough there is security at both doors.i asked to speak to the manager she said she us the manager only one there. Said bye and waked away.

I came to Van Nuys store today at noon with my provider and was not allowed to go in. This is very rude and disrespectful I am a disabled 85 year old person who waited in line for over 30 minutes under the sun. On top of that your security allowed the person behind me go in before myself and my provider. This is very unprofessional of you and I will never come and shop from your store again. And I assure you that I will let all my friends and family know about this and to not come to your store. I hope you do take this seriously and find better security that treats all customers fairly and respectfully.

  • Karina Perez

This market when they first opened they had good, fresh vegetables and fruit, but lately is kind of old rotten tomatoes. Lettuces are not fresh. The manager is not a nice person. To be a manager you have to be nice to everyone not just to his race, middle Eastern. We asked him for certain product different times, and days and he always says they ran out without even checking. Cashier's not nice they r always talking in their language and not doing their job that is why lines are so long.management doesn't do anything about it. Middle Eastern woman at the bread department very rude.

  • John Fernandez (He Gets it Done)

Good source of produce large selection. Meat Deli is well stock with fresh produce, sea food also available at the counter. Dedicated deli area with large selection on hams and cheese's. Large separated area that houses a large I believe international liquor selection, definetly a popular area of the store. Only thing I don't like is the entry way that forces foot traffic to cross paths with outgoing shoppers creating a small cluster on the way in and out. Um sure this can easily be fix by removing the crates at the entrance and allowing for much easier flow of foot traffic.

  • Omar S.

My all time favorite grocery store. The freshest and greatest variety of produce items. Most of which you could not find elsewhere (not under one roof). Great deli section, and a huge variety of authentic Middle Eastern foods and food related supplies. All the above described comes your way at very low prices. When it comes to regular grocery items (that are easy to find on other stores) it is my opinion that they are a bit over priced here. I am cool with it though... As long as I can find my rare items here for cheap, I have no problem shopping for the remainder elsewhere.

  • Rafael Cárcamo-V

It a great super market. One can find products here which are not easily found in other stores. Or, are all relegated to a single isle. The employees, for the most part, are helpful and friendly. The one major problem, which they can really do nothing about, is the size of the isles. The are rather small and maneuvering them while others are in it can be a bit of an interesting situation. Most people are nice but, like everywhere, you come across some really nasty and rude people. Especially since it is a but crowded most of the time. But, definitely like it.

  • Alex E

WARNING: Double check expiration date for every product you purchase there! All discounted products are expired. Last week I bought blue cheese that expired for 4 months. Month ago they had hazelnut in bulk with a good discount that bitter and brown inside. I never buy avocados. They are rotten inside. When I drew attention that Brie cheese is expired for 2 months the seller replied: "It is fine. Just place it back." The prices are lower but it is exactly the cost of rotten and expired product that I throw into trash bin.

  • Charles Hamilton

Every time I visit, I buy several items on special at incredible prices. Makes my long trip to the far side worth it. At 72, every penny helps. Thanks guys. The lines are long & getting longer. Every store seems to have a cashier shortage. Expensive stores, Cheap stores, all stores have a staff shortage. I could not find the price of a few items. I hope things go back to normal. It would be awesome if all staff knew where the advertised specials are located. Keep up the good work. We need food!

  • Ph S

IF YOU NEED TO SAVE MONEY!!! THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU! Great quality and variety, and WAY WAY cheaper than Costco, a million times cheaper than whole foods or Ralph’s! For 2 weeks food at Costco, I average $300, just for a week of food at Ralph’s, $100, at SUPER KING, 2-weeks worth of food, $80, maybe $90! I have almost never broken $100 and always leave with a FULL FULL CART. Ps my wife and I are vegetarian, so prices will vary, but I heard super king meat sales are insanely good!

  • Jennifer Sosa

Great prices with a wide variety of foods for all over the world. The produce is always fresh. The only thing you have to watch out for are the specials and coupons. After each transaction I have to go to customer service to get a refund on the special. Every week you get something free with the purchase of a particular product. I get charged for the FREE item, I guess the specials aren't always in the system. Make sure to have the weekly flyer handy to get the refund.

  • Gus Zdanovich

Great international market. Competitive prices, fast check out, great wine/beer/spirits selection, and Jesse was very friendly at the register. I'm not not close-by but it's my definite stop if I'm in the area and shopping for something in particular, I always hit one of them, knowing well there are always crazy deals if you take the time to look. Again, can't say this loud enough: they have everything and their prices are by and large unbeatable. Highly recommend!

  • Elijah Novoa

My first time in this store and I was very impressed. There was a wide range selection of fruits and vegetables. There were dry fruits hibiscus, banana, kiwi, green beans. Their meat department look like USDA choice meat. I found the store to be very clean including the restrooms. They're also nuts, almonds, peanuts, sunflower seeds. I also seen a delicacy and a fresh bakery. I really enjoyed my trip here and plan to make another return when I'm in the neighborhood.

  • nany 22

in the super king store they have excellent prices excellent products but unpleasantly today I was attended by a cashier named is STACY she expressed herself in a very unpleasant vulgar way, she wastes a lot of time talking with her fellow packer leaving the customer ignored it is not the first time that is why she left this complaint for the sake of the store. my children have no need to listen to their love and sexual affairs in their private lives ..

  • Jane

Lines are always huge and customer service is the worst. They have items advertised and when you go to the register they ring up full price. Items in aisle have a sale price and when you go to the register they ring up differently. Managers don't even honor price displayed. Plus, items advertised are always out of stock. Seriously, would not recommend this grocery store. Needs lots of improvement! Recommend Jons & Food 4 Less!

  • camilia Darwiche

Worse produce section I have ever seen. None of the employees like to help out in produce always acting like there busy. No customer service anywhere from the front to the back of the store. You need to retrain all your employees in customer service, stocking, kind and helpful, maintenance and alot more. Lines where ridiculous long merchandise everywhere out of almost every thing. Very unhappy try to avoid going there.

  • Chester Paul Sgroi

What I like about this market is that it is clean and very often has lower prices for day to day staples than the larger grocery store chains. Even though the restroom doors have combo code keypads on them, the doors themselves are not locked. Insider Tip:. If you only have one or two items, you can go to the separated off enclosed liquor section on the front side and the cashier there will gladly ring you up.

  • Sai Doddi

Nice place but the con is that it can get just too busy and it could take forever to get through the line especially weekend mornings and the cashiers there care less. I like that they have quite a good variety of ethnic selection of vegetables and commodities. The big reason i go there is because you cannot find a few they sell here at other grocery stores. Plus the prices are generally very reasonable.

  • Robert Rincon

It's a bit of a zoo but the veggies are fresh, a decent selection of nuts and such. The bakery has some mouth watering cakes, tarts, eclairs, etc. and the meat department has a dang good selection of meats. A little filet mignon on your pallet? Can't beat their price. Hand tailored cuts to your liking. The neighborhood market to shop. I have it's competitor 200 yards from me but I would rather shop here.

  • BHALLA JAGDISH

Yeh it's OK to go there but it's always busy busy have to stays in a line. Honestly I don't know what people buying when I can not find what I am looking. People just throw throw everything in their shopping cart makes me think do they really eat those all. Or just watching others fillings their own shopping cart. I just go there for the bread I likes. I can not find anywhere else price not bad either.

  • Miss D.

You need to TRAIN your cashiers. It's upsetting when all she says is, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know anything. All I was asking for is to honor the price on that add or give me a rain check. She even pulled the add saw and still said I don't know! She wanted me to get out line to ask a manager. I don't have time, so I just paid and left! And I don't normally write reviews, so I'm upset!

  • sell stuff

LA'S best cheap grocery store! Great selection of items not found everywhere like seasonal fresh green almonds and fresh green garbanzos in the pod. And cheap prices like fresh dill and basil commonly 2 bunches for around a dollar. With products for everyone plus Russia and Middle eastern and Asian specialtys. Friendly knowledgeable staff available in "many languages". By far my favorite store!

  • Daphne Y

Their shelves are not filled with enough inventory. They have filled shelves with repeated products expanded on the shelves. Prices have gone up. Not a good thing. I travel 17 miles to go there, and I'm thinking it's not worthed. They don't accept returns easily. I bought tumeric, and I decided to return it the next day. Still in a sealed packet, and they hassled me over it for no reason.

  • Vadim Bokin

Unbeatable produce and meat quality and prices. Forget Ralph's and Albertsons and home here for all your produce needs and easily 1/3rd the price. They have delicious marinated meats that you can throw right on the BBQ. And as a bonus, wonder the isles and discover some really unique products from across the globe - different rices, interesting spices, canned goods and all kinds of foods.

  • Rehool Ahmed

Great place for day to day grocery shopping. Pretty much like Jon's but much better than Ralph's or Vons for verities and prices. Customer service is ok. Excellent selections of fruits, nuts, juices, vegetables and sandwich toppings at very competitive prices. It carries products for all communities. varieties of freshly made sushi at a very reasonable price. Plenty of parking available.

  • Igor Benderskiy

Huge selection of everything that you can think about. International products that you will not find in other supermarkets. Super inexpensive and big parking. But you will not find gourmet style products here...and some raw-cooked products were not very fresh... nevertheless it's very inexpensive place to buy fruits and vegetables, as well as bulk food and some hard to find desserts. ..

  • Kenneth Leonardo

Normally I find good products at a good price, but this time I was disappointed because I bought peaches and although they looked good on the outside, unfortunately they were already rotten on the inside. I don't think it was on purpose, but as a marketing professional I encourage you to improve your quality control and guarantee your customers the good condition of your products.

  • Stan Cuseac

Really great store with tons if fresh produce always available. Deals and specials that are also always much better than in other stores and overall great prices. The only thing you need to watch out for is long lines especially after lunchtime but even then usually the waits are only around 20 minutes. You can also sign up for their mobile number program and get weekly savings.

  • Smbat Minasyan

If you are looking for the Armenian style food, then this is the right place. They recently updated their interior design and increased prices for most of the food and drinks that I usually buy. They have a lot of employees, but still, you have to put all your food in the bags on your own, as cashiers are usually busy. Maybe it's time to implement a self-checkout system...

  • Alex Contreras

Now my preferred place to do my grocery shopping due to it's convenient location and pricing. I used to go to Ralph's or Von's, but after checking out the place since the grocery employee strikes, I found that this store offers a bigger variety or choice of fresh produce and the prices of store items are a bit cheaper than the big supermarket chain stores.

  • Edward Alexis

So, I always appreciate businesses, especially when they add products that aren't usually available in your run-of-the-mill grocery store. I wouldn't come here for organic produce (I didn't see any), however I did see organic ground beef and milk. BUT if you need cultural foods, I think this is the place for you. Hope that helps! …

  • G P

Great place to shop if you are looking for a variety of products from across the world. The prices are very fair and they have a great selection of produce that I like and also nuts and seeds that you can purchase by the weight at great prices. All the employees at this location are very helpful and will assist you with anything you need.

  • Rene Palma

A good store. If you are in need of different kinds of vegetables and fruits, this is the place to go. I haven't seen a market with all the different kinds. Besides that, is not a big difference. Other stores have better meat section and others. Wait if you want alcohol, they have a whole section, I mean a while chunk of the store for it

Great market with excellent prices. The produce is always fresh and reasonably priced. Their meats are also very nicely priced. Best thing is their sliced meats and cheeses. You can make very nice platter or sandwich very inexpensively. Things like prosciutto, salami, mortadella is priced almost half of what you'd see I regular stores.

  • Dragi Popovski

The name itself describes the store. Not only the King, it's a SUPER KING! No joke. Variety of foods, awesome deli, great selection of meat, from the tongue all the way to the tail. Alcohol selection that you can't even imagine. The only store I ever found a fresh dragon fruit. If you are European, this is the place you need to shop.

  • Yesod Stone

There is a very large selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. There may not be all of the name brands you expect, but there will be similar alternatives which may be better. Although busy there were plenty of checkers so the checkout wait was brief. As an aside, they bag your groceries if that affects your shopping decisions.

  • Rene Ledezma

Yesterday was my first time shopping here and I feel like I've been missing out for years! Big selection of produce, and meats. The quality is also very good while the prices were in line with food4less which is where I normally shop. They also bag your groceries for you. It does get busy but seems well organized and up kept.

  • Nolan Tirado

Everything you need in one place. This place is always busy, always crowded and parking sucks here. Employees probably shouldn't be allowed to park on the property but they do. All of them do from the Super King Employees to the Pollo Campero employees. Outside of parking always being an issue here the super market is great.

  • Andrew Guenthner

This place has fresh food and low prices. It is super busy, to the point that it xan be hard to find a shopping cart, so you can't get in and out fast. Because of the high volumes sold, though, everything is fresh. The selection is very good, though clearly there aren't a lot of high end items. Just be prepared to jostle.

  • Becky Velasquez

Love this store!! Fruits and vegetables are always soooo fresh!! They have great deals and the store is always clean!! Only downside are the looooong lines. It gets so busy that a wait time could be 20 minutes or longer before getting to the register so for thus reason I don't come too often. But do love the store itself

  • Clarissa

Produce is great. Customers Service is the worst. They are extremely rude. Then again, the costumers are also pretty uneducated. They don't say excuse me they bump into you and they don't believe in personal hygiene workers and costumers alike. Yet, I put up with it because Three pounds of oranges for 99 cents is a gift.

  • Jorge Gonzalez

Cashier Leandra on register 002 store#00006 cashier 1012 OCTOBER 16 2021 time 16:58:48 has a very very bad attitude with customers and i also felt discriminated for shopping on my work clothes. Other than that great place to buy fresh groceries and great prices. Hopefully someone takes actions in this matter. Thank you!

  • Patty Fong

My experience is good... mostly purchases were based on shopping produce, and few other items since I live about six hours away. Merchandise that can last in our car until home is my goal. Excellent prices on some produce, nuts and cookies- breads. Large parking lot, store is easy to find, sits on corner of block.

  • JLM M

Great vegetable options & prices but the customer service is very poor the cashier was very rude. She totally ignored me and kept speaking to her co-worker the whole time she was ringing my groceries. I kept having to interrupt her conversation. The management is responsible for the cashier's performance.

  • Jacky Valdes

I like this super market because it has great produce and I also like that they have great weekly offers plus you can became member and add points to your account every time you shop. I would like that the General manager train the cashiers to have better customer service, because most of them are rude.

  • Tats Wada

Great place to shop with good produce section. The price is definitely lower than Ralph's etc. The place is very clean and we'll lit. Employees are very friendly and helpful. They play good music too. The parking lot is little crazy on the prime shopping times. But over all we love this place.

  • Beatriz Vidaurre

Love the specials of the week. I do have to say that most of their produce is bought very green, so when it comes to fruit and vegetables it is hard for them to ripen correctly and I end up throwing a lot of it In the trash. I only buy leafy greens, grapes, peaches, anions, apples and oranges.

  • Paola S

Overall good store just watch out for these two employees Jeymi and Xiomara..they are both cashiers..RUDE is an understatement of the way the interfere with customers...Didn't even acknowledge the customers in line because they were gossiping non stop..Very very horrible service from these 2!

  • Vassilios Avramis

I like shopping at this store. I do most of my fresh vegetables and meats, not to mention the French, Danish, Greek and Italian cheeses and deli meats. I find the people who work there being helpful and with a smile on their faces. I strongly recommend it. Try it out, you may love it as well.

  • Anastassia Davis

Great, inexpensive produce. They cater to an international clientele, so shopping here is usually an experience. Hard to find items from all over Central Asia and Eastern Europe, as well as cuts of meat most other supermarkets don't stock. One star deducted for occasional blah-quality meat.

  • Karen Mendez

I really like how they have good prices for some of items they have; the staff who work there are very rude. Made me feel very discriminated because I'm not armenian or russian...like if they are doing you a favor by providing you of what you need. Never going there again. Horrible.

  • Danny Marroqin

Hello And good afternoon And yes this place is Very nice and good food olso clean store and friendly employees Good service and fast For me love love SHOP MY FOOD AT THE PLACE AND GET MY BEER AND COLD GOOD PRICE AND MY CHIPS WITH MY MEXICANA CREAM OLSO THANK U FROM MARROQUIN.DANNY.

  • Lisa Brazil

Great prices for fruits and vegetables. Nice meat counter and deli as well. My only fault with this place it the lines to get out ,you can't say it's there fault cause all the lanes are open 15 of them it's just a very popular place for the middle eastern who live in the valley

  • Elma Brozas

What they are offering faithful customer for the reward is not worth it!!! Could you please give the equal value of 400 & 500 points respectively as $4 & $5. Or you rather give the customer cash or credited to their groceries shopped like other supermarket. Thanks n God bless.

  • Barber shop truck JORDAN

I hate going there!! Every worker seems very unhappy and unfriendly. You ask them to help tell you where to find something and they always send you to the wrong isle . Instead to help you find. VERY MISERABLE WORKERS. NOW I HAVE TO Spend money on Instacart to shop there

  • Star Metry

Great assortmant of items for different backgrounds but the service is awful. Deli section is always a hassle as people working behind the counter are always slow and/or taking time aside to chit-chat. Did I mention once I found a roach while at the register walking around?

  • The Jordan

So many different foods from all over the world. With many items you are in awe at how many different choices they have. There prices can't be beat especially in the butcher and produce department. Great customer service. So it is no wonder they're always so very busy.

  • Miguel Vasquez

Best place for fresh fruits and vegetables. Their meat and dairy selection is also very large but the down side is that there are always big lines when trying to place an order and again when you are trying to pay. Other than that, the staff are very kind and helpful.

  • Zach Victor

A treasure trove of international foods and affordable high-quality produce. This is a place where people from LA's diverse ethnic and expat communities can find a true taste of home—and for people like me to travel the world without leaving town, one meal at a time.

  • Lawrence Lucero

Lots of great products. Good-humored, friendly meat department staff, personable security agent doing his best to adhere to store policies. Some shoppers do not like to wear masks properly and do not follow directions regarding the 15 or Less Express. Just sayin'.

  • Azita Ashofteh

Fantastic grocery store for fresh produce and international selection of items. They are always improving the atmosphere and keep things very clean. The prices are great. I go there every week for groceries and I love it. I wish there was one in west Los Angeles.

  • Cj Ariman (Cj-L.A.)

You can find wide variety Mediterranean and Latin american goods with reasonably pricing. This is makes super king one of our favorite market. Would. Recommend to everyone.. I know people who drive from a far because of the selection of the goods the market has.

  • SJ

Very good selection of veggies, shelves are always stocked and they have pretty good deals every week, especially on chicken. Parking can be a hassle sometimes depending on time and lines at the cashier can be long too, this is something they should improve on

  • Timon Samaan

Great prices, wonderful varieties, and it's very organized and clean, but the services is still way behind in the meat department. When they don't offer help, or even care. On the other hand, the deli section is above and beyond with their services, and care.

  • Alex K

Azatuhi in the deli was quick to help me had the skills to eyeball my orders to the decimal absolutely beautiful. Even the security man is happy to help customers here. I saw him run over to help an older woman struggling with a bag. Small things say a lot.

  • Estela Martinez

Since I try this maket I'm not going anywhere else.. this place has the best prices ever best vegetables all kinds you find all Chile's. Lettuce and much more lies of Armenian food all kinds ds rice meat and deli .. the best part the prices are the best ..

  • Donald

Great bargains. Super crowded nearly always. Closes at 9:00 pm every day of the week, which is ridiculous. Deli is completely understaffed. Cannot get anything in less than 20 to 25 minutes. It's been like this over 5 years, so obviously they don't care.

  • antifurgirl

This place is very large, a lot of selection, a nice deli, clean, and there was even a worker who saw us with a squeaky cart and offered us a non-squeaky one instead -- how cool is that?!? Prices were good too. I wish there was a closer one in my area!

  • WDCAG74

This store is an absolute mess… There is absolutely no way people will be able to flee if there is some sort of an emergency. Huge Occupancy issue. Also everything is over priced in the store people please don’t be fooled by their marketing tactics.

  • Armand Seals

This market is good for veggies & fruit. The employees have good attitudes, but NOT the people that shop there. Armenians will walk right over you neither will they be cautious of you waiting to get what you need from the area their inn...

  • Victor Mainwal Jr.

Well I would have to say they had great prices on fruit and vegetable in good quality. Had not had enough time to actually you my full shopping list to compare prices with their competitors. I will either add to this or a whole new post

  • Maria Colin

It's such a big market! Great produce! But on customer service I give them a 5 out of 10. From the stocking clerks, to meats department and cashiers, every single employee should be trained more on customer service and professionalism.

  • Roy Jitdanai

I always enjoy shopping at Super King. There are variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, you can buy fresh meat and seafood here too. Prices are very good, especially fruits and vegetables. The free parkings are also very convenient.

  • Sam Button

Since they rebranded this store has been much more modern looking and better overall. They have plenty of vegetables for cheap, a deli, an alcohol section, and tons of registers so there's not too much of a wait to check out.

  • Leah Chapple

This place has fresh produce for excellent prices: for example, today there was a deal for 5lbs of oranges for $1. Packaged foods are ordinary - pricy, but we always go here for the produce. The parking lot is usually packed.

  • Big think Think a lot

A guy he work cashier number 5 at times 7.40 pm . I think he not nice with customer he like lazy or tired I don’t know but we understand just don’t like he looks down on customer no say hi no smiling . Must do good service.

  • G “Apophis” T

Big store with lots of great offerings. The place is usually busy but the wait times are decent. They have a very nice liquor section with different ranges in product from expensive to your average run of the mill.

  • Grahame Elder

An Armenian market with a big difference. I shop here because it has excellent fresh produce at good prices. It also has a good Deli, Meat and Fish sections. The market has a fine Bakery too. Really worth a visit.

  • Randi

Went here to purchase a Mandala Tequila bottle but was sold out and the gentleman at the counter called all the surrounding locations until he was able to find one and have it set aside. Great customer service.

  • Kseniya

Love this location Best prices for produce. A lot to chose from. A few organic options. Comparing to other Super King location, this one is more welcoming and shoppers are also nicer in this neighborhood.

  • Alma Salguero

It's very busy but the fruits and vegetables are fresh. The best part is the delicious freshly baked bread, pastries and cakes I highly recommend. The only down side is the butcher section isn't the freshest.

  • Carole Martinez

HUGE, INTERNATIONAL FOODS Store. Any kind of fruit and Vegetables you WILL find here! Service Deli is nice, low prices. Also has the best low prices for hard Liquor, and a beautiful assortment of Scotches .....

  • Chris

Store can be very busy in the morning and during the day on the weekends however, they have great prices on all fresh produce. Deli service is wonderfully stocked with selected goods and breads.

  • Vahe Kashiktchian

Great prices overall, but not on every single item. Unbeatable prices on fruits and vegetables. Well stocked store, however, long check out times, as the store is always packed with customers.

  • Elizabeth Rodriguez

Large selection of food products. Bakery is one of the best in the area. Bought a cheesecake and the employee offered to write a message on it, which came out very nice. Taste was delicious.

  • Gagik Shagoyan

How many stars you expect after I stood in a line about 40 minutes? Around 200 people waiting for 3 cashiers. Shame and disgrace!! Get your 1 star and f…. off. Will never come back again

  • Paul Nosrat

Except very few items on sale prices are high. Aldi and Walmart prices are much better and much better quality. Most employees speak Spanish, that's why popular with Spanish customers.

  • El Nahual Del Barrio

Great selection, great customer care, Anita the cashier deserves a 2 thumbs up. I really enjoyed the lights they were just perfect I felt very comfortable. Definitely will come back.
