I had no info on handling my ticket and it didn't show up online so I called the number on the court website. The automated phone answering system is useless! Pressing 7 to speak to a representative just repeats the same message that presented the menu options in the first place, so it's completely circular and you'll go in an endless loop trying to get somebody thinking "this time will be different". It won't. GUESS HOW TO TALK TO SOMEONE? YOU PRESS 2 FOR SPANISH! ‍♂️ Luckily I do actually speak Spanish and tried it out of curiosity to see if it was the same mess as the English menu. Unfortunately, you have to listen to 2 or 3 substantially longer pre-recorded messages, but pressing 7 does eventually ring someone. And it only took about 10 seconds for someone to answer! My guess is that the person on the other side was not actually a Spanish speaking staff member because she answered in English, but that didn't matter to me because I was speaking to a real person either way. I pointed out the flawed and convoluted answering system as well as the fact I only got to her through the Spanish options but she didn't even seem to acknowledge my point and got straight to business, which was really all I was there for. Went through all this only to find out my ticket hasn't been filed yet even after several months and I just gotta sit tight and wait on a notice in the mail. Oh well, one less headache for now...

Horrible!!!!! Security Guards kept yelling at me and putting me purse in through the conveyor belt three times. The security guard opened my purse and wen through it and stole my buss pass! He was the same security guard that gave me a hard time last year I was here. He and another lady( security guard were being very irate and discriminating against me. They don't like homeless people here!!!! I put another complaint form in their box just like last year when that guy security guard gave me a hard time. Obviously nothing has changed!!! They don't care. I didn't notice my buss pass was gone until I tried to ride the bus and had to use a whole new day pass that the GR office gave me for looking for a job!!!! They are going to pay!!! They owe me a bus pass !!!! They are abusive and will threaten you for no reason and take your bag and harass and now they will steal from you!!!I I have to go back here on march 7th, so they better not f*** with me. I've already decided I am going to sue!!! You don't treat human beings like that!!! IT MAKES ME EVEN WONDER IF THEY EVEN HAVE AN HR DEPARTMENT OR IF THEY JUST DONT CARE ABOUT HUMAN DECENCY AND RESPECT!!!!!!

Trash. Unbelievably impossible to get a hold of an live person on the phone. First you have to listen to about 5 minutes of a recording spewing the same unnecessary information over and over. After pressing every option possible hunting for a human being, 90% of the time the same message will play or you'll be looped back to the main menu. BUT if you happen to find the correct number sequence to press in the labyrinth of options (it's 1-2-7 for traffic citations) and get to the queue, 95% of the time you'll get a message like this "Due to the high volume of callers, we cannot take your call now. Please hang up and call back later." When I actually was placed on hold, I've stayed on the line for hours with no luck listening to 3 different recording voices vying to tell you "we SINCERELY appreciate your patience", "thank you for holding", and "all representatives are assisting other callers" in between a looping 20 second guitar solo that I've now learned how to play and I don't even own a guitar. It took 10 calls and 5+ hours and I finally got a hold of someone. Her name was Patty and she was nice.

Attention People. Get legal shield within 4 day’s of the incident. They will prevent the ticket from being processed . Only $25 for that ! But after 5 days it’s already been processed. (They can’t help after that) If you don’t buy legal shield then you have to 1) set up court date . 2) plead guilty (for 25% reduction of ticket fine) 3) set up payment plan. $30 a month is the maximum payment needed at traffic collections. 4) go to dmv and get your license up again ! People can’t say that this court doesn’t help them. You don’t have to pay your first payment for 30 days and Let’s say you don’t want to pay ever! if you don’t pay it goes to state collections and that will never affect credit score or drivers license again . Also it will not be on your personal financial record. Only in that state. So if you don’t make enough money to file taxes then why pay the tickets ? They can’t garnish your bank unless it’s registered with the IRS. So don’t panic. Don’t worry . Just save your money and always go to court so that you always have a license

I received a window tint ticket from a motorcycle CHP officer (i won't post him name out of courtesy). Not much to note about that experience, but in my 5-6 years of driving the same vehicle through LA and OC county I've never been cited for any traffic violation (nor criminal mind you) before. Warning: You're probably reading this because you've done a goggle search to find this damned place and so you're reading these reviews. Are you aware of the budget cuts in CA and on the judicial system it had/has? If not, no worries, this courthouse is the epitome of that problem. I won't go into it, but my piece of advice to you would be to schedule an appointment if you have the option to. If trial by declaration is available for your case then do it. Use whatever option you have to not come here. Ironically, I don't think it's the cost of the ticket/traffic school that you need to pay, but the time you have to waste coordinating a visit here and actually being here that's the worst part. Good luck!

If you're coming here, it's generally not for a good reason. Most likely it's for a traffic ticket or some other thing that you did that you probably shouldn't have done. The building is easy to find, parking is free. There can be long lines at the check-in window. The building and decor are pretty old, weathered, like something from the 70's or 80's. Our chairs in the courtroom were squeaky but decent. The staff is generally helpful, but don't expect a lot of enthusiasm or smiling faces. It's just not a very fun place to be. That said, the staff do generally seem to do the best they can with what they have to work with. Amid budget cuts, staff cuts, service here can be slow. But take a minute and be friendly with the help. It'll make your day easier and their day a little better. Tip: Be sure to make an appointment, even if your ticket has an "appear on" date. Also the best view is on the south side near Courtroom B & the bail office.

This courthouse is RIGGED. I'm starting to catch up to their conniving schemes!! And for all you people out there watch out who you are surrounded by, they have undercover decoys pretending to be the general public!! they secretly try to snoop through your paperwork!! they will seat next to you pretending to be your friend ask you questions and whatnot!! what gives it away is the fact that they are the first ones out the door!! its all a bunch of hocus pocus!! it's time the people wake up!! it's all a disguise!! and even when you have evidence to fight your case they wont even acknowledge the facts and instead will find a pretext to make a living hell out of you!! and btw, you're better off standing for your own self!! learn the municipal codes and law practices!! don't ever hire an attorney!! its worthless!! they all work together!! they will conspire against you with all they got!!

If only I could award this court system zero stars. The horribly designed website puts Maze Runner to shame---you think you've found the right portal only to slam up against confusing and contradictory information with links that lead to irrelevant or nonexistent dead end. (For example, I tried to request for an extension date online for my court appearance and the only option I got after pressing the "correct" button was to pay the ticket.) The phone lines are invariably jammed ("We're sorry, but to to the unusually high call volume....") regardless of the time of day and in the unlikely event that you happen to connect with a live agent, he or she is almost always in a surly or condescending mood or both and unable to provide the information you need. Don't expect any of these issues to be corrected---because no one is interested in correcting them.

I have read all the comments on this forum. It makes me wonder if our legislator's even really bother listening or read what is written from the people that elected them into office. Well my experience wasn't wonderful as well. Yesterday after navigating thru the phone prompts for apx 7 minutes, it then proceeded to tell me that a live person was only available till 1:30 pm. Frustrating to say the least. So I called the next day at 9:45 am and navigated thru the phone system again and then was placed on hold for 12 minutes before reaching a live person. Who assumed he knew what I wanted. After explaining what I needed was given the information. Im not surprised that they do not ask you to take a survey and rate the system or the customer service you received because it would be a sure bet that they wouldn't come close to passing.

I visited this 'superior' court to attempt to get a civil restraining order against violent neighbors and was actually treated worse by the employees. Dealing with the people next door was pleasant compared to dealing with court personnel. I downloaded and followed the directions for the forms and it still was not enough, then the employee felt she could belittle me because I am stressed out and fearing for my safety. I would recommend driving to another location to get better service. The icing on the cake was when I went upstairs to visit the Sheriff's department, they stated the paperwork I received was a mess and contained confidential papers in there that should not have been in there. They said those papers needed to be returned to the vultures downstairs. When will it end?

  • Alicia Zamora

I received a citation it has been very confusing when it shouldn't be. I have lived in other states and never had any issues online or by phone. When calling I have waited hours to just get to speak to someone. I received a date to appear letter after the date to appear. I request extension to pay which gives you additional 30 days. After being on hold for so long the operator hung up on me it might have been a accident but now I have to call back and wait for God only knows how long and hope that I can work out a payment plan. The website is too busy and never had my citation information on record. They need more staff , and more organized system with so much technology now in days I feel like they lack technology which can make everyone's life easier and smooth.

  • Jason Spelts

Went there because they notified me an old ticket had gone to warrant. So I flew from Dallas to SD to clear it up. When I got to the window the woman was incredibly rude and demanded money (she was super nice to the Asian woman and black man in front of me). I said I was from out of state and wanted to see the judge. She said I couldn't for another week and tickets like mine never go to warrant. Had a Sheriff look me up and sure enough - no warrant. I just wasted $1000 on airfare and hotel over this. Should sue but I'm betting the judges in this place are just as shady as the officials that run it. This place is corrupt. Just a scam government agency using scare tactics to steal your money in the name of "justice". We don't call it Commiefornia for nothing...

  • Connor Stewart

I received a traffic notice and was promised that I would receive a letter in the mail to schedule my court date. It's been almost two months, and I have not received anything in the mail. I've been calling during "phone hours" over the last three weeks and nobody will answer. I've tried to enter my case number and schedule online, but it says my citation number is not found. This is ridiculous. I'm only a few days from my court deadline, but they are not allowing me to schedule an appointment. If I don't make it by my deadline, I am at risk of having my license revoked. I have numerous attempts to get ahold of someone, but the courthouse must be run by lazy children. Or maybe they want to hit me with more fines?

  • Jared Tsung

You probably got pulled over by someone who is one step up above a "mall cop" and now you are supposed to visit this courthouse. SDPD is the worst....they're basically like beggars with their hands out looking for easy money. Don't be an easy target, remove the window tint from your driver's side windows because you can be sure they'll pull you over for it here. They claim its officer safety, funny how officers in Nevada/Arizona don't seem to have any issue with it. Too bad CA doesn't allow medical exemptions as well....just goes to show how revenue-hungry they are. If you got caught for speeding, you could hire a ticket firm and make SDPD fight to enforce your ticket.

  • Mr. Lubbles

I called them around 20 times during the times of 8:30 to 11:30 on many different occasions, the times they said you can talk to a representative, and got put with a robot every single time. (And yes I clicked the number to speak with a clerk after the initial robot picks up.) The reason I have been calling so much is because I have been trying to get the mail that I'm supposed to get since it's been around 2 months and they haven't sent it. This is the worst phone service I have ever had to deal with, and I'm most likely going to have to schedule an in-office appointment just to ask why they haven't sent it. It's such a waste of time.

  • Aj Nomikos

I actually was able to find my ticket online, but it was flagged for lord knows what reason. I have spent over an hour on hold waiting to talk to someone and they are only open for three hours over the phone. They really want to make you hate the court more than you already do. I like how they make you go through so much automated services before you even get to a rep and on top of that you wait over an hour to actually speak to someone. Even then they didn't help me the first time I called in. I just want to pay my damn MINOR TRAFFIC TICKET. They really need to figure out a better system because it is broken to pieces.

  • Miguel Quintana Valdez

My experience with this court was the same as others: -the phone hours are very limited and my call never made it through. -my ticket/citation never came through mail so I tried to resolve it over the phone to either pay my bail or schedule the apointment -their search system is broken; since I didn't have the citation number I kept trying with my name and other criteria but it never worked. This might help someone: The way I could finally find my citation number, was by going into 'Pay'. (I was not even clicking it before, because I had no citation but tried it anyways) and did a search by driver's licence.

  • wesley lam

Got a speeding ticket - was told by cops "its 2022, you pay everything online" OK!? - BUT I cant find my ticket online to pay - looking up citation number, license, everything under the sun I never got a ticket notice in the mail for my home address Spent hours on the phone for them to tell me that the officer probably didn't file the ticket - so we should mail the ticket in. AS SOON AS I MAILED THE TICKET IN, I GET A SECOND NOTICE IN THE MAIL (WHERE WAS THE FIRST ONE!?!?!) NOW the ticket appears online, with an easier search of the citation. BUT i'm unable to pay since it's "past the payment date"

  • Emma Villegas

  • Cyndi Reed

Can't get through to a clerk on the phone, the recorded message just keeps going around and around and when you make the proper selection you're never connected to anything but the same message. The website is a nightmare to navigate, can't even put in the violation number and get information. Their backlog must be ridiculous. State and Counties making money because they're so inefficient I can't even pay my fine or get basic information. So i have to drive all the way down here to business office, stand in line, and make an appt to come back and do the same.

  • Austin Alfaro

This is the worst court system I've ever encountered. The website is not user friendly at all, you have to go through links and links and links to find your ticket or case. Then, when you finally try to make a payment or pay your payment plan the website doesn't allow you to pay online... So as a result I go to drop a check off in the outside drop box and it's been about a week and the check has yet to be cashed. I've attempted to follow up since I dropped off the check but THEIR GOD D**N PHONE LINES ARE DISCONNECTED! Can't even email them either!

  • Samantha Sanchez

I called about a ticket I got in Jan 2020 I'm waiting for a refund since trail by Decleration has been submitted and I was supposed to receive refund in august. Every time I call I get the same thing they will put it on her desk whoever her is ??? This morning I waiting 67 minutes on hold to be yelled at by mark i asked him to please not yell and get loud with me and he hung up after I waited so long on hold. I'm very upset and no one should be treated this way these people are rude and need to be working somewhere with those attitudes

  • Dr. Dilanka

I would rather go to prison than visit this courthouse. It's the peter principle on steroids over here. A bunch of incompetent nincompoops that couldn't even outperform a one legged simian behind a computer. See kids, this is an example of what happens when free market capitalism is restricted in the government sector -- even crappy reviews on a public website is not an incentive to improve. Avoid at all costs (if possible) -- if you MUST go, I would recommend visiting after 2pm to avoid lines. Forget the phone, they'll never answer.

  • Jonathan Shibley

My experience with SD court is much better than what is happening in Los Angeles County. At least in San Diego if your trial judge cannot take you, you still stay in the Central Courthouse on Broadway. Here in LA you can get shipped to Timbuktu. For example, a Long Beach Case can wind up in Lancaster! Most of the complaints I see posted are the result of budget cuts which forces courts to lay off staff and close courthouses. If you do not like that, write you legislator and tell him or her to restore funding to the courts.

  • Wurda Iqbal

Phone service system is absolutely garbage. You have to wait on hold listening to a robot finish it’s speech before you can even press 7 to talk to a clerk. The hours are super limited. Pressing 7 just makes the robot talk from the beginning again giving a useless and helpless speech. The way to get to talk to a clerk or real person? MASH BUTTONS. yup u heard right. Press 7, *, 0, 2,4,4,4,any random keys constantly cutting off the robot’s speech. ONLY THEN THEY WILL TRANSFER YOU TO holding for a real customer service rep

  • Allison MacDonald

The phone system is ridiculous. I tried to reschedule traffic court. The automated system gives you prompt to reschedule the court date, then once you enter all of your information, it tells you that you cannot reschedule over the phone. Nor can it be done via the website or through the mail. You must go down to the courthouse to reschedule, without the benefit of speaking to a human being first to ensure that you're not wasting your time. Typical game playing in San Diego... don't ever move here.

  • Ian Ayers

Impossible to get a hold of. Also, I set an appointment back in May. I showed up, along with about a dozen other people, only to find out that the court was closed. They had one bailiff come out, looking confused, that had no clue they had set up a court appointment. Thanks for wasting my time and money for taking time off work. Best part is, I got a letter telling me my court appointment had been cancelled, and the date on the letter was 3 days after my appointment was scheduled. Unbelievable.

  • Josh Nielson

I wish I could give negative 5 stars. This is absolutely ridiculous. Update your robot that keeps me on hold for an hour, and repeats the same worthless info. How about this… ask for a case number, validate that our phone call is not spam, and make a representative option 1 if you are so committed to “Meeting all of our needs”. This is shameful. Especially as someone trying to resolve a speeding ticket from a different state. I should be able to give you a ticket for this nonsense.

  • Cali_

Been paying off a ticket online since forever.. it was a $1200 ticket got it down to $167... now tell me this why after all this time suddenly I can't pay it online anymore.. I know I owe 167 left.. you guys are trying to get people to think they dont owe anymore, i bet I wont even get a payment notice.. im going in person thanksgiving (if you guys are even open) probably not since you guys cant get a real job.. its a scam to get an extra $300 bucks out of people. FUČK this court.

  • Corey Reed

I'm calling as we speak from out of state and I need to pay a ticket to get my driver's license for a JOB that starts on Monday! Once I go through the prompts it puts you in a "FOREVER" loop asking you to press 7 to speak to someone and then repeats that same speal over and over and over. It never says that someone will be with me or that my call will be answered. I never can get a hold of anyone. I don't know what to do as this is the only way I can get this taken care of!!!!!

  • david traganza

They have just completely abandoned their phone service. I have called 15 times over one week on different days and different times and have never got an answer. They don’t even have a put on hold option. It just says “Due to high call volume, we cannot take your call. Hang up and try again later.” Yeah at 8:30 am four days a week, they have such a high call volume that they won’t be able to get to me in the next 3 hours they’re open. Wish there was a zero stars option

  • Glenn Kohn

Phone contact hours too short, too difficult to contact actual human, attitudes of employees acting as if annoyed...these are just some of the many reasons why the public has so little regard for the apparent complacency and complete lack of accountability by any government institutions. A case in point would be the fact that no one has addressed anyones comments and the resulting lowest rating in written civilized history (ok, that might be a tad exaggerated).

  • Naomi Hernandez

I've been on hold for 3 hours now... All I want is information on my tickets but even when I did speak to someone last week they were very rude and belittled me. The lady that answered made it seem like I was dumb for asking questions. The lady I spoke with today and on the previous time I called they were both in a rush to get me off the phone and rude. As if I should know all the answers to my questions. Definitely hope to never deal with them again.

  • Michael Shepherd

I have used the phone number on the website. it goes to automated phone system. The system allows a selection to speak to clerk, but does not actually work only repeats the introduction again. I have tried it 6 times during the times posted on the website and it does not work. Please post a phone number that actually works I have contacted the web master three times and have only been referred to the non working phone number thank you Mike Shepherd

  • Bobby Lyons

The phone system is the worse! You literally have to go to pick the option for warrants to get to a human. The website is the next worse. Ticket was not paid on the website after hours of trying. Contacted the court to clear it up and pay the original amount and still couldn't get hold of a human. There is a 470 fine on top of my expensive ticket. I would have be better off missing a day at work and going there. I would be 470 richer if I had.

  • David Zimmerman

Racist police force. This building steals money from the poor and cycles it back up to its corporate overlords. Our civil servants have been turned in to escorts for a sick debt collector by the name of 'Alliance One'. And if you don't believe me just look at the percentage of minorities here; any given day 9 out of 10 people getting tickets are black and latino. No justice no peace until you end Jim Crow and for profit 'justice'.

  • dalia underwood

SD police, sheriff, etc., have nothing better to do than to make my already miserable life even more so.....57 tickets now tripled because I went there twice and paid what was in system. Now all out of nowhere some more NOW delinquent tickets show up and to register my car close to $500 +......nothing more than abusive, they could of tapped on window and said you've got 5-10 minutes to leave or we'll ticket you!!!!

  • Sandra Gold

I have tried several times to speak with someone on the phone and have been unsuccessful. I also tried to use the website to request a time or 30 day extension, however the information I enter is unrecognized. I tried both the citation number and my drivers license. My court date was scheduled for today but after several failed attempts at contact I could not set a time or a change of date. Suggestions???

  • bghiora

When I tried to complete my transaction online, it responded that it “timed out.” This happened on 2 different days. When I called to speak with a representative, I got a message that because of too many calls I cannot be answered. So I was referred to the online services. This happened on 2 occasions as well. I am $500+ customer. There is no excuse to run me through a Catch 22 drill like this one.

  • KornShaDoW097

Looks like most citations are now coming from this place instead of san Diego Court house on third. These guys take forever, dish out guilty sentences to take your money and I've even waiting almost 2 months for a refund from my last ticket. They "changed" what I was charged with so they could keep half of my money and never sent a refund.. Crooked courthouse.. More so than average.

  • Robert Flohr

The web site says my ticket is ineligible for web service (won't tell me why). The phone system says use the web service. Can not get to a human on the phone (over an hour of trying). Can't go to court without an appointment, apparently I cannot get an appointment. I'm sure the line will not be long at the court house tomorrow (right). No wonder the City is going broke.

  • Brian Balsama

Phone system is an absolute joke. If you want to actually reach someone you have to select an option and sit through the whole message then you finally receive the option to talk to a representative. If you speak english and want to talk to someone about a traffic violation the options you should select are 1, 3 then sit through the message then 7. Good luck!

  • Andrew Allen

The staff and officers at the superior court are incredibly courteous and helpful, if you are too. I think it's important to treat them with courtesy and respect; and you'll receive the same. Just keep in mind they weren't the ones that gave you a ticket; and even if they did, that doesn't give you the right to treat them with disrespect.

  • Regionales de san diego

These place is like a nightmare. No one answer the phone or very limited hours to answer the phone and when they do they tell you to come down to the location and to go to the main window. If you are going to pay a fine the court charges you an additional fee to pay on installments. You are at their mercy. Our tax dollars at work.

  • jcefalu88

Amazing, the phone lines are closed after 11:30 AM during the week, and the main line will not connect you to an actual representative. For one of the highest state tax rates in the country, it is offensive that contacting a court representative for information regarding a personal case is so difficult. This must be a joke

  • Kalib K

Terrible phone line service. They minus well throw all their phones away. I have been trying to get ahold of the court for three days but I am not going to wait on hold for longer than 45 minutes that is absolutely ridiculous. Also every 10-15 seconds there is a hold message that makes me want to put knifes in my ears.

  • Mikaela Hess

Calling this phone number is impressively worthless. I tried calling for information about my first ever ticket and whether or not i was still required to attend court if I payed my fine online. This phone number doesn't answer that question nor can it connect you to an actual human being. This is ridiculous .

  • Gil The Thrill

ZERO STARS. They messed up my paperwork resulting in head aches and $600 in fines that went to collections without them attempting to contact me first. Took a couple months to fix. Now the court owes me a refund on the wrong fines I did pay. Better off just moving to a different state. ZERO Stars.

  • Stephen Kfoury

Room 207; I have a college degree and the gentleman made little sense of the english he was speaking. The computer did not a PR listed so I had to return from OC the next day. I am not getting an extention I want a Judge trial...moving with flow of traffic...when there was no cars!! What's PR?

  • steve moses

Drab, dreary, and grossly inefficient. Would benifit greatly from a computer system and software update. Some fresh paint, scape the popcorn ceilings and some LED lights would also probably help improve everyone's state of mind. This building would be right at home in 1950s communist Russia.

  • Diana Cohen

Seriously the worst system ever. I have not received one notice since my ticket... not one. I have no idea what the status is or what next steps to take. As others mentioned, no one answers the phone, there is no email or online system that I can check. True violation of due process.

  • Abelardo Araiza

The phone servise is horrible. There is no service, only automated responses. This court is a joke. They try to blame you for everything. Also threaten the people that go there to try to settle their cases by telling them they can be arrested on the spot and increase their fines

  • Aaron Yeip

Four windows for “Courtroom Customers” and only one person working to help 35+ people. After waiting for the judge one by one, now waiting to simply receive another court date, one by one. If your name is at the end of the alphabet, plan on a day trip here. 4-5 hours minimum.

  • Martin Xian

the automated phone system is a complete JOKE, I'm sure that thing hasn't really helped anyone out, the court number transferred my call to automated system and it transferred me back to the court...... It's just their way of avoiding talking to people who are in need.

  • Caren Campbell

Took over 2 hours on hold 10/10/17 to find out if they've entered a ticket as paid; finally answered at 12:06PM. Victoria (very nice) told me they received my credit card info by fax 11 days ago but haven't processed it yet. I thought the VA and DMV were inefficient!

  • Anthony Thomas

The lady at the help window was way more helpful than the cop that pulled me over. Apparently the date and time was not a court date time it was an action by date. I requested a court hearing and will tell the judge the cop is incompetent and should be fired.

Probably one of the worst phone systems I have ever came across. You would think for a court, they would be a little more on top of something like this. I might as well have better luck getting a hold of my dead grandmother than the San Diego Superior Court

  • Erika Ruppert

Just proof of a mediocre, outdated system.. our tax dollars at work. Neglect, mistreatment and complete disregard for the needs of SD residents. They only online systems that function are the online payment options.. I would give minus 5 stars if possible.

  • Anna Estandarte

Called at 830 and didn't get someone to answer my call till 33mins later. Then instead of waiting for at least a minute as a courtesy as I was not able to answer when they answered as I was talking to someone the person hang up after saying hello once.

  • Adela Leon

One of the worst government agency locations in San Diego. And forget about an easy telephone prompt you’ll spend a half an hour just trying to go through all the prompts .. and then wait an extra 45 min before speaking with a rep. Ridiculous.

  • Michelle

I had my appointment at 7:45 am and wasn’t able to speak to the court until 8:45 am. After, I was waiting at the clerks office to set a trial date. Theres 1 worker and 9 closed windows. Theres at least 30 people waiting to speak to a clerk.

  • Ilian P

Possibly the worst in California. The online system is confusing and lacking data: sometimes you can find a case, sometimes you can't find the same case. They claim you can schedule appearance online but go find how. When you finally get

  • gregory ariel

the website online services is broken, search fails to bring up citation by number or dl and the when you press ‘7’ to speak to a clerk it says hours are from 830-1130, even if you call in these times disgrace of taxpayer money

  • J

Called over 20 times over a month. Went through the menu and recieved the same message every time before being disconnected. Also, I was living in Sicily.... couldn't exactly drop by to speak with someone or for my court date.

  • Kris Zaycher

After running around thought the phone system for an hour an anouncment comes on saying the court house is closed thank you and goodbye then hung up on me. It 2 in the afternoon on a Monday. Also they close at noon on Fridays

  • dblrs dblrs

if one of the options is to give the mailing address then you should give the mailing address. the automated message said "for mailing address information press 1 so I pressed option 1 and there was no mailing address given.

  • James M.

Although this is called a "courthouse" it is basically a traffic ticket window. There are no other court services whatsoever, and if you want to enter the "courthouse" the bailiff asks you if you have an appointment.

  • Alex Morales

These people at this courthouse are completely useless I have received no help at all. I got a ticket in early February and it’s almost time for me to go to court and they still haven’t put my ticket in there system.

  • Cory Wolterbeek

Called at 9AM. Phones are supposedly live from 8:30-11:30 only. Sat on hold until noon, 3 hours. No one picked up. The hold message thanks you for your patience literally every 15 seconds, it will drive you insane.

  • Nay Davis

Absolutely ridiculous I have been going in circles for months trying to get through in contact with somebody on the phone it says no walk ins so it’s like how do you make an appointment such terrible service really

  • Joseph Chang

This court is actually trash. I have been trying to pay my minor traffic ticket for weeks and the deadline is coming up. It still hasn't showed up on the website for me to pay and nobody ever picks up the phone.

  • Carl Mape

Can't file small claims case here anymore. You half to now drive 30 minutes downtown where there is no parking! If you find a spot, its $30 per hour. Several hours wait just to file. Unbelievably incompetent!!

  • Chris Maloof

System takes you in circles. Option to speak to a representative is there but it states phone lines are closed and hangs up on you... at 1:30 PM?!? Horrible... I feel sorry for the residents in that county.

  • Debbie Johnson

It was an excellent day thank you San Diego county. Thank you Padilla TRU#T and my FAMILY as well. It's been a roller coaster ride and we wouldn't have had it;: any other way. ALL OV our Love Pepper & Deb

  • Joaquin Parra

The worse of the worse, not even in a third world country you get the service from these people. My taxes at work. There are 9 windows at the bail office and only 1 of them has an attendant. Go figure.

  • Woody Yourfriend

this court makes this experience horrible theres long lines just to pay a ticket..i have nothing nice to say about this place ..it bothers me knowing that this is tax payers money at work. :(

  • L. Ron Gardner

I can't even talk to a human there to answer my question. There is only an automated phone service. Typical government crap. We pay high taxes and get garbage in return for our tax dollars.

  • Sean Miller

We need to get to the public how outrageous this courthouse is. Beyond unorganized , disrespectful, unprofessional and intentionally slow workers and slow process, female judge is a racist.

  • Gabriel Ortiz

YOU'D THINK A PLACE LIKE THIS (WHERE YOU HAVE TO WAIT N WAIT) WOULD AT LEAST HAVE WIFI...BUT NO WAY JOSE! I WONDER WHAT THEY DO WITH ALL THE MONEY THEY SQUEEZE OUT OF THE POOR CITIZENS!!

  • Sergio Muñoz

This court is horrible...is this actually a Superior Court? it looks and feels more like a DMV and I'd like an appointment then. Place is a joke! Ticket FINALLY got dismissed...Yay!

  • Rollinj369 gmail

Stated ability to pay online, I have had no such luck , multiple attempts to access by phone not available. If they want their fines paid,it could use a remake of the application.

  • Elie Hasso

I'd give a 0 if I could. You cannot get in contact with a clerk unless you have at least 45 minutes to waste waiting on the phone. I unfortunately went through this about 6 times.

  • Jeremiah Simmons

The wait time is ridiculous and the environment is stuffy, dull and the walls look like prison walls. It's as if they want you to suffer for your sin against the traffic system.

  • Rod Est

Nobody ever answer the phone even if you call before 1130 they schedule you appointments when you can’t come and the employees are rude when you ask them to reschedule it

  • Jason Shepard

Worst phone system ever. I’ve been on hold two days in a row for more than an hour. With a $290 speeding ticket you think they would be able to properly staff this place.

  • Micheal Berry

Worst system, you can't easily call and speak with a clerk, you'll spend about 20 mins listening to their dump robot system, speaking with a clerk should be option 1.

  • Big Party Bottles

Google should have 0 star option, you'll be lucky to ever get answered on phone. Garbage service, they make millions off of fines but can't have a decent call center?

  • Rachel Kitts

Why do you even list a phone number? When you can't get information from the automated system or talk to a live person. Completely ponitless and furstrating.

  • Daniel Ramos

Their hours to speak to a clerk through the phone is from 8:30 to 11:30... you know while most people are at work and right before they get off for lunch.

  • Chuck Cox

I had an issue that really could not be resolved on-line. I waited a long time (15 min) on hold, but eventually a very nice lady answered and helped me.

  • Jeff Smith, Realtor

Seems better to just go to the location. Phone service is slow and you would think other representatives can be hired with all the money being made?

  • Melissa Rolon

Worst place to call been on hold since 8:35 AM, yet they close at 11:30 and it’s now 10:30. I live 3 hrs away..... how else would I contact them

  • Leonardo Martinez

No business hours posted and no one to tell you that they close the courthouse at noon. Nice. So now I missed my already extended courthouse.

  • Jacqueline Wilcox

They make it impossible to speak to a human! I live out of town and I am trying to schedule a court date to see a judge. This is ridiculous!

  • Alexandra Woodside

I've called in over 4 times now trying desperately to talk to a human being to get my fine settled but NO ONE ANSWERS. This is a nightmare.

  • And Ino

This court should be reported. No one answer the phone. I ve been waiting over 1 hour to speak with someone and no one come on the phone.

  • Michelle Andrews

The officers were very helpful and answered all questions. The process was smooth. I would suggest to come early due to traffic.

  • Tang Tarangtang

The worst of the worsts. Every employee at this courthouse should be fired, pronto! The other courts are way so much better.

  • Nate Neumann

Lines can be long, but service is generally helpful. Nice location with plenty of parking; very clean and easy to navigate.

  • Ruby Leal

No Help at all. I want to speak to someone and the automated voice comes on and tells me to try later. I don't think so!!!!
