Hi, this is my honest review on TGV Jaya, am a regular TGV Jaya movie goer, a convenient place for hubby & me coz it's nearby, and i used to work at Mr Diy. TGV Jaya staffs new faces, polite & helpfull but i do miss their old staff at the F&B counter. I love popcorns and bought it, but much to my dismay, the popcorns doesn't taste like before, (not fresh, it takes up the smell of like glass container that isn't cleaned well or imagine eating a not so fresh popcorns that have been kept for days). You can compare GSC Mid Valley Megamall (the popcorns are fresh & doesn't smell like leftovers being recycled). Movie Halls are quite convenient, comfy seats. My advice, if you wanna catch the last showtime, avoid going to the ladies (not clean toilet bowls & users lazy to flush). If you are a TGV member club, avoid buying online tickets if system indicate error (please abort buying), coz end up deducting your money without any transaction history or soft copy of the ticket u bought. (Just buy at the counter) I bought 2 tickets for Eternals movie recently via online+movie club, TGV server can't respond due to weekend & festive celebration's peak online purchase by users, it takes more than 2 weeks for refund process and you need to fill up a refund form from the person in charge. I would rate before pandemic, a 4 star, now endemic a 3 star.
Fresh look and good feel after the transformation. The seats are more comfortable compared to GSC. Great place to catch a movie. We saw few movies here, and tickets were only 46RM for the two of us! That is what we would pay for one of us to see a 3D movie back home! Concession prices are very reasonable as well, popcorn and 2 small sodas for 13RM. They also have a variety of popcorns to select from, when we were there, they had salted, caramel too Seats are selected at time of ticket purchase and you are not permitted into your theatre until your theatre number is shown on the display monitor. I would suggest bringing a sweater or wearing pants, the air conditioner was strong in the theatre we were in. When you exit the theatre, you do not leave through the doors you entered. We went down a very long corridor that took us directly into the mall. The snack service is slow. Every single time whenever we wanted to order some hot stuff something like nuggets or curry puff...they will always ask us to wait for 5mins which we personally feel like they could have done better on that part....just by placing a food warmer will do the job for you... Apart from that, a great place to watch your movies.
I went to watch Aquaman today and since I had voucher, I had to redeem it over the counter. Normally, the staff are friendly and the process of buying the tickets is simple and smooth but today, it was everything but. I was left for 5 minutes just waiting and wondering what was going on while the new staff went looking (and waiting) for her senior to come in and punch in the code. He asked me some questions on which movie, and time I wanted and showed me the seats available. I pointed and told him which seats I wanted and didn't think twice about it.a I dismissed the incident and didn't think it. I took the tickets and left. I hadn't realize the error I made until I was looking for my seats in the cinema. He had keyed in the wrong seats. Instead of center seats, I got the far side seats. I'm highlighting two issues here: 1. There should be a SOP where you repeat and check the seats with the client. 2. Make it a habit to check your tickets too. I was still able to enjoy the movie but disappointed that I had not gotten the original seats I wanted - beats the purpose of buying the tickets early for seats no one would have taken up, right?
No crowds at all, which is a refreshing change from other cinemas. Service ranges from friendly to stiff. Classic popcorn only. Soft drinks are nice. The carpet path to the theater halls smells wet and has large spots to the point that it looks like it’s in a jumbo cow print, and the carpet just below the couple seats in the back row (Hall 3) smells like very, very dirty socks. My boyfriend and I joked about the place possibly needing spiritual cleaning; the smell is that bad. I had to spray my vicinity and our clothes with light cologne just to give us and our neighboring cinema-goers some relief from the stench. To the management, please do something, even if it’s just sprinkling a little baking soda over stinky spots. I’m sure there are others like myself who want to love this neighborhood cinema.
Been here twice in the same month of November 2021. Showtimes was at about 8.30 pm and yet to my surprise things I wanted to order to take in the cinema was all out of stock. This happened both times I went there for a movie. It just seemed to me that since there wasn't many customers, the workers opted to say it was out of stock instead of making the food. The theatre seats had a weird smell and was not pleasant at all. It was so disturbing. I also noticed that when watching movies, there were people who removed their masks through out the whole movie and the workers did absolutely nothing about it. Very disappointed as this happened to me twice in a row.
It was really very worst theater experience through out my life, don't know what really happened to those main speakers in Hall No: 5, even surroundings also very poor we booked for ANNATHE movie from the beginning to end audio format was not clear still my ears got affected with those disturbance noise. Thought of inform to management while watching the movie itself and tried to connect with provided number in TGV official booking site, even the number is out of service! Just for sake we paid we watched the full movie with irritating noise and came out!
KGF Chapter 2 ❤ It was amazing movie, more then my expectations. I love this Cinema because of this Cinema always run top Hindi movies. So many viewers come to this cinema for that reason. Many countries people lives in Malaysia & so many people’s like Hindi cinema. In Malaysia many Cinema showing Hindi few of cinemas but TGV Jaya showing all Hindi hit movies. That's why I like this TGV Jaya Cinema too much. Always I go there with my wife & my friends. They also like to see Hindi movies. Thank you TGV Jaya.
A great place to have your movie fix for the locals and people who works nearby the area. They're more likely to feature blockbusters for their showtime, but less known movies will be taken off after a week or two after premiere. So do checkout their show times before heading there. Overall I'd say they offer a standard movie experience, with comfortable seats with ample legroom. If you're coming in pairs, they do have couple beanbag seats as well!
One of the better cinemas in Petaling Jaya. Although not overly handicap friendly, it is easier for the elderly to access. Chairs are wide and comfortable. Good gap between rows (so latecomers will not trample on your toes) and the gradient of each row ensures your view of the screen is not disrupted if a tall person sits in front. For now, weekday tickets before noon are RM8 and weekday, offpeak senior discounted tickets are RM9.
This theatre is easy to find insidesthe mall and lots of parking during night shows. Day time could be challenging. The negative i found in my recent visit was the pop corn was a quite bad. Not sweet and dry..forcefully ate. Seat at hall 1 it had a unpleasant smell, not sure from the seat. It will ne great if management could like this and improve.
Nice. The seat is spacy and comfy (as per TGV standard). What set this cinema apart from other cinemas, there not so much traffic. So, you're almost guaranteed to get a good seat when you purchase ticket here. But don't expect big hall like to one you get in Sunway Pyramid or 1Utama as the biggest hall here is medium sized at best.
Tgv ni ok sgt... senang berurusan..staff pun ok.. ada mesin tiket dan sda kaunter... staff sentiasa ada untuk bantu.. Cuma tempat scan tiket masuk tu.. jgn letak datar atas meja..... condongkan sikit 45-60 darjah utk senang customer scan or wave phone.. tak pun lekat kat dinding booth tiket masuk.. Anyway..u all terbaik
The cinema here is actually pretty good. I would rank it as the one of the best in PJ. You can park and take the lift straight up to the cinema, so that's convenient. Also it doesn't get very crowded most days, which is great. Popcorn is fresh but service can be a bit slow some days. Will definitely go again soon.
It is a normal cinema hall with kind of good quality. All the halls are quite small but just nice to enjoy the movie till the end. Jaya Shopping Mall is definitely a mall that you dont have to worry about parking compared to Midvalley and One Utama. The basement parking and the cinema is just easy to access.
Not too crowded, staff are usually friendly. Toilet is ok but only one is usually open despite having two washrooms. The most disappointing thing here is they never have Coke Zero and very, very limited food and beverage options. No chocs, candy or snacks. Only popcorn and hot dogs usually. Boring.
They keep the toilets very clean here and there is an award winning member of staff here that will make absolutely brilliant comments or soft warnings before you enter a show sometimes. Honestly, he totally makes it worth visiting this particular branch. Look out for him! His witt is hard to miss!
The show does not start on time. They management turns off the air con to save money? I guess I'm only paying for the chair and the movie. You are definitely paying for the sauna show. Despite the high traffic at the popcorn counter, they only have 1 person to serve. Haiz. A very bad experience.
Watched Oppenheimer but was disturbed by someone with damn smelly feet. don't know if they were wearing stinky socks or wore shoes with no socks and took their feet out. whatever it is the cinema didn't do anything to have mitigation steps towards smelly feet like automated spraying or something
The security and facilities gets my salute. They support for disabled people is outstanding. My DIL could not board the escalator. The Indian facility PIC personally stopped and started it to make it easy for him to reach the floor. Best thing is, they make to the rescue free the movie as well.
dapat dewan no 7, seriusly kecik... pastu kain langsir dia terjatuh sikit, so ada bahagian screen yang tertutup... memang spoil la kan... lagi 20 min nak habis, tetiba lampu dlm dewan tebukak macam cerita dah habis.... lagi lah spoil... memang xnak pegi dah sini... tak profesional langsung
The acoustics in the bigger halls seem way too soft for a normal screening. The smaller screens seem to be a much better choice for immersion. I don't know why, but their popcorn always tastes a little stale. Maybe I just have really bad luck or pick the worst times to watch movies here.
I was here to watch thiruchitrabalam movie on 19/8/22 9pm show. So, worst the screen was blur and sound like watching a movie in tv sound. Tgv team, i was here many times but never ever had any bad experiences like this. Please improve your service. It’s totally not worth at all.
Fairly decent cinema and easy to get tickets. There's a much better Dolby Atmos sound system and Dolby Vision HDR screens. However the Popcorn was a little stale and there was no option for snacks like potato chips etc. The staff there are all great, very polite and helpful
Love how quiet Jaya Mall is and that it wasn’t crowded in TGV Remember coming here since secondary school and the cinemas are still well kept, toilets are constantly cleaned and the staff are nicer now! Also appreciate how they give student discounts (Rm13) before 6 pm.
no one was at the counter.. all were on their food break. could not redeem my 1 for 1 citicbank clear card promotion as the manager also went for food break. ended paying normal priced ticket. Halls were empty. perhaps they should close down such run down TGV theaters.
It was ok. Not so crowded. The cinema was clean. The choco popcorn were superb. Cheezy short sausages remains delicious as ever. Parking are plenty because too many stingy people prefer illigal park and double park on the road rather than pay and park properly inside.
The seat was quite comfortable. It was my first time at this tgv at Jaya shopping centre, and it didn't disappoint me. Edited: I don't like their speaker. The sound is extremely sharp. I felt like my ear drum was going to bleed, especially when I watched oppenheimer.
Quiet cinema as opposed to the ones in bigger malls. Parking is easy especially for late night shows. If you wanna catch a block buster this is one of the easiest place to access to around that area. Recommended if you wanna enjoy a movie with less crowd.
I like that there is a self-service ticket machine which accept both cards and cash. And the greatest thing is there is a waiting area with lots of comfortable seats and they are kind enough to provide the screen that shows the “now seating” at that area
Watched Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning part 1. 1st time visiting the place for a company movie night event. The cinema was clean and very spacious, bigger than most cinemas i've been to here in KL. If you're close by this is a good cinema to go to.
No crowds at all, which is a refreshing change from other cinemas. Service ranges from friendly to stiff. The carpet path to the theater halls smells wet and the carpet just below the couple seats in the F row (Hall 4) smells like very, very smelly.
Great place to watch movies in Jaya Shopping Center. Easily accessible, comfortable and lively. Combined with many offers from Maybank and MasterCard makes it my first choice to watch movies during day time here. The place is not as crowded … Lagi

After a long break due to lockdown, this is my first cinema I have visited. Popcorn still taste good, small hall but comfort chair big leg room sound system just nice. Also short distance so no long walking from popcorn area to hall. Recommended
Relatively new cinema but cleanliness could be improved. Look up on the aircond vents when your next here in the cinema hall... mouldy and water leak stains... wondering what else is growing inside that vent. #hyperventilate
Person next to me brought outside food in a plastic bag, which was so noisy and irritating as he kept moving his plastic. Also the smell was so strong. Not sure why TGV is allowing customers to bring outside food nowadays.
Update 7/6: Gave another chance today due to convenience. Hall 8 this time. AC was working well. Sound system better but can't beat GSC. Toilets cleaner. Popcorn was fresh & yummy. A nicer experience for sure. … Lagi
Very very bad, so heart broken to see the mall is no longer accommodating lively shops. 80% of the shops is closed in Sunday. Is these mall in verge of bankruptcy? Only TGV and Ground floor eating place is happening
Watched mulan here. Service was ok, compliant with the SOP at the entrance. This cinema is a little more laid back since its not a very popular location. Food was ok too, had nachos and a drink. Place was clean :)
Facilities are not with super standards... But acceptable with the cost.... Screens are not so big expect bit more cleaner rest rooms.... Available food inside is OK. . seating is good and value for money place..
Place abit krik2 actually..dk because of puasa or what..the hall have some smell..dk what smell is that..but no kacau me to watch the movie la .. Experience: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Food & beverage: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Seat: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Overall, ok. But not many staff were there to assist you. Even the F&B counter only got two people working. Slow service and no one monitor customer’s breaking SOP i.e no social distancing, lower their mask.
Good environment with necessities for disabled but need to improved its pathway for disabled... The only lift available yet the pathway got too many sensory doors hence the passage weren't that smooth
I always love this TGV cinema as its always very quiet and peaceful during weekdays if you want to watch movie alone. This outlet is very clean and very awesome. All the staff are polite and helpful.
Decent place to watch movie. Cinema not too cold in my opinion (just nice). Halls are usually not full even during peak hours/days. Downside is some of the toilet being closed off most of the time.
Neighbourhood Cineplex. Good cinema to watch the latest movies even on weekends... Mostly not crowded. Have self service ticket machines, very convenient to book tickets in advance. Recommended.
I think the sound system is not so good...the screen brightness is kinda low...maybe the particular movie I watch had it done like that or maybe the TGV system is such. But the cinema is clean!
It is much easier to get seats here because it is less crowded than 1U TGV, so we like to come here. The hot dog bun isn't warm enough, doesn't taste great and is way overpriced, nearly RM13.
Not as crowded as other places. Your standard movie theater. Toilet is clean and minimalistic. Wished the chairs could be higher. Find my back sore after sitting through 2 hours movie.
I I love coming here cause it's clean, lots of parking, easy to choose the seats I want and rarely crowded. The location is great too.Easily accessible, and lots of places to eat.
Great place, less crowded when I go there in the morning. Not really a massive cinema but thats the beauty on it. Staffs were kind in assisting. May go there again in the future.
The condition of cinema halls is still new or good. Comfortable chairs or spacious seats. You can lounge while waiting for the red light of your hall number to illuminate.
ppl there are super nice, the place is usually empty and peaceful. when i went to the barbie movie they all greeted me with hey barbie!! i was so happy. recommended!!
Seronok sebab tak ramai org. Ruang kaki luas tak payah angkat kaki kalau orang nak lalu. Tempat duduk selesa. Tengok avatar pun tak ramai orang. Memang syok.
Wasted RM30, Hall 1 the speaker sound broken, headache sound system! Need improvement on popcorn. Popcorn tepi jalan lagi sedap! Not worth it, GSC next time.
Watching guardian of the galaxy vol 3. Staff was friendly. Place was easy to park (by motor). Toilet is clean. Wish the popcorn price is lower than usual...
For movie lover, please go here if you want to watch movies. Not too crowded with people because there are less shops , so less people. Inner peace …
Fav place to go for a movie. Not crowded like other branches. Parking at Jaya can be pricey so choose a midnight movie and park outside near the shops
Limited choice of snacks, but clean and comfy seating. Well-designed so easy to look for the toilets, and to get back to your car during late shows.
Very comfortable hall with non leather seat. I love the fact that the cinema is really dark with almost no disturbance at all from any light.
Perfect for those prefer less crowded cinema.. the cinema itself is located in a less crowded mall.. i love the location.. …
Accidently left my wallet at one of the movie hall, kudos to the TGV's honest staffs, wallet retrieved safely. Much thanks!
Great sound, nice view, a bit warm inside the hall and the couple seat is not as comfortable as I thought, I was in hall 3
It's a good theatre, small and cozy. It has multiple screens. I come here often because it screens hindi bollywood movies.
Not crowded. Easy access to parking. As for the cinema experience - the same with every other TGV outlet in Klang Valley.
TGV Jaya Shopping Centre is a cozy place, though the cafes and restaurants on the 5th floor seems dead or dying. … Lagi
before there's a bench. Can sit while waiting for the hall to open. But now don't have. But the cinema is quite good
It's good, meets expectations however it doesn't have too many big screens and it's not always too crowded as well.
It was good, better then the I-city one, the chair more comfortable, the staff is willing to help, toliet is clean
Quiet and convinient. I love this cinema because its not so crowded and the place have many parking available.
first time ke sini bw ank..x sesak...agk selesa dgn kemudahan di sini..staff2 smua very nice n friendly...
Hall 5 though a big hall smells mouldy. As I look up. Wow! Mouldy ceiling! Hall 1 is the only ok hall.
I love F&B people so friendly and helpful , the indian aunty forget her name , but she treat me well
Took my family to watch super mario bros. Not many watching but nice atmosphere and friendly staffs
Good choice if you just wanna watch movie because lesser people which mean u can get better place.
This is a normal cinema in a small shopping mall in PJ. Come here if you want to avoid crowds.
Its fine. Seats are rigid i.e. they dont move back. Hence it gets a bit uncomfortable.
Good experience with TGV. Not crowded. And the staff are very friendly. #johnwick4
Just watched the Hindi movie Jawan, the hall needs to improve the sound system.
Quiet and comfortable, with surprisingly ample parking on a Saturday evening.
After 4 years I haven't watched any movie, last night is my first movie date.
Speakers was crackling , the experience was not soo nice . It was theater 5
The place is clean. Staffs were friendly. Theater was well maintained
popcorn on point The air conditioner is not too cold staff is smiley
If you are looking for experience the sound, try other alternatives
Nice but show is a little on the dark side and i mean in brightness
Great cinema hall.Friendly ushers.Good Rest areas.
Nice place, felt a little cramped but affordable
Less crowd cinema. Quite clean and comfortable.
Although wide, Seat was not so comfortable.
Nice place for me date.. …
Place needs a major revamp
