What can I say you order your entree so one can have it before your main meal right, wrong it turns up after you have eaten your main meal. When one queries why no answer then gets a bit of aggro from waiter when you say it's a little bit late. Not what I would of expected will not be recommended this establishment.

Staff are nice and personable, they told us they were new to the industry and I have to give them credit for that! The vibe is sports bar but there's a regular crew that appear to have a lot of respect for the place. They could podsibly down size on food options and ingredients in general as the menu is large!

It is in a local pub, which i was really suprised with the food quality. The food is very delicious, actually it is much better than most sydney city pubs I had. XXL serve size. Me and my wife ordered chicken parma and pull pork, perfectly

The Talbot Hotel is a great traditional local pub, offering a relaxed atmosphere, good food and a decent range of beverages. Located on New Town Road, it is central to anyone living in the area, are passing through. Definitely recommended.

It had a good rep for meals. This recent night, I ended up with a plate of far too many (a ridiculous amount) of undercooked anaemic chips, though the battered fish was nice enough (most likely Blue Grenadier which I like). Other half had

Absolutely the best meal I have had in a long long time! It was out of this world! New Menu and New Chef. The meal sizes are huge, the freshness and the presentation of the meals..STUNNING If you want a great quality meal at a great

If you want Brett the bar man and andrew to tell lies about you then this is your pub. The both of them lie about there gambling problems blaming customers. Brett lost all gambling license and blame me.... was i the big boof head putting

The Xmas lunch was delicious and enormous, the soup was lovely, the main course was very oversized, but stone cold. The meat was cooked perfectly but the vegetables were over cooked and cold. The pudding was obviously served a long time

An underrated sports bar in Hobart! The meals are great if you like typical pub and American style food and there are plenty of sports on offer on the screens. Betting facilities are less than similar vesues but there are other venues

5 of us booked in for dinner after hearing good things about the Talbot from friends. Had a great night, excellent service and meals, generous serves, very impressive all round. New owners Matthew and Theresa are doing a fantastic job.

Well there are too many stars. We went to this hotel and never in my life have I met such a rude objectionable man. If this is the way he treats customers it is a wonder they keep coming back. Meals were overcooked. Did ask him to not

  • Damian Tunks

Great little pub. The food is really nice because they keep it to simple pub food and prepare it nicely. It's a great venue if you like sports as there's always plenty of sports on the screens. I highly recommend this place More

Came over from Melbourne and will leave very satisfied. The food was fantastic. The service was fantastic. The patrons were friendly. Highly recommended the burger/scallop pie and parma's. Thanks again, will be back.

Was a little concerned after reading a number of negative comments. However, the meal was very good and we'll priced. I had the pork belly and my wife had the lamb.....no complaints at all from us. I would go back.

  • Matt Quintal

Really great service and food was amazing. Only had short menu due too only just getting new chef. But was still so good. I recommend the chicken bites and onion rings as starters . Well worth it

  • Sarah Guinevere Heald

Fantastic varied menu with price points from bar snack to gastropub counter meal. Fast friendly service. Clean. Great side salad. So much food we were happily obliged "doggie bags". We'll be back.

  • Sarah Richardson

Publican is incredibly rude and refuses to correctly honour entertainment vouchers. Would have happily gone back with friends but will not do so now on principal. Food was adequate for a pub meal.

  • Mark Gray

Food is plentiful, it was quite busy. The owners were run of there feet, and the general feel was of a place you'd go to watch sport with a group of mates and have a quick bite and a few brews.

  • Dylan Egli

The food was excellent and well priced. However the best thing about the Talbot is the staff. The staff are so friendly and willing to go the extra mile to make your day/night great.

  • Peter Griffin

The lunch time meal was tasty and large serve. Could do with a wider choice of beers. Plenty of parking at rear and has a venue upstairs for party or events.

  • Sonya Narracott

Staff so nice to me...little old lady ....just had cold beer on hot day heaps parking and a lovely newtown street....to have stroll b4 yummy counter tea

  • Ole Nimeton

Typical loud and rowdy locals suburban pub, food and service both decent. They use proper chicken, not the frozen stuff so that always wins points.

  • Mick

Decided to try for lunch today. Very quick service. Standard pub food, but we'll cooked and plated with large portions for very affordable prices.

  • Catherine Brown
