This place is poorly run, We entered and was waiting for an ridiculous amount of time, there were around 3 staff and a manager, when we finally got to the front of the line and started to speak to the person at the desk he let another customer start talking over me so me and my family walked away and had a discussion as if we wanted to even stay here we returned and then was finally seen and put on a lane, I then ordered some drinks and food at the start of the game, 4 beverages, a pizza and natchos, we were halfway into the game and the order hadn’t arrived so I went to the bar and had to wait on top of that to tell them that I had ordered he then took the ticket out of the machine as it had been sitting there and said “I’ll get on that” (they didn’t even know my order was there -_-) then we finally got the drinks and food and it was horrible the pizza had puddles of oil and when lifting a slice everything just fell off, I wasn’t eating that so my brother and boyfriend just said they would put up with it and so they did l but didn’t want to finish it as it wasn’t nice, I then started to eat my nachos and noticed that they were cold and had next to no cheese it was just a bowl full of crisps with a layer of sauce on top and some brown dressing, I then took it back to the David the manager who said “that’s just the portion sizes” I replied with “with no cheese”? He then took it and told me to speak to the girl next to him and she walked away, he then just brushed me off so I walked away to calm down, I came back to tell him I would like a refund on just the natchos as I have to leave soon because my little brother had school the next day and it was getting late, once I asked for my refund the girl then brought out another portion of natchos that I had not asked for I kindly told her that I didn’t order it and she seemed confused and took it back, David then came out and I said I never ordered that I just asked for a refund, he then told me I didn’t when I did, and said “you’re not getting your refund” and walked away then I said “excuse me I haven’t touched the food and I need to go I would like my refund” he then said you can have it in a take away box(it was a large pizza box) and I told him I’m not carrying it home for it to be cold I never wanted it anyway, I then informed him of his horrible customer service and what had been going on within tempin Croydon and he walked away, I was feeling very disrespected as it took a lot to stand up for myself as I have anxiety, I didn’t feel like a customer I felt like a bother, then he came back out and I said I need my refund he then began to talk over me so I spoke over him and that’s when he said “alright you're not getting your refund” and told me to “F*uck” off” I was taken back and went outside to tell my boyfriend because no man will ever be allowed to speak to me like that and I wanted him to try and speak to David as I was very upset and taken back by this, then David wouldn’t come out when we asked to speak to him he was hiding in the back and members of staff were very negligent to us after so I got the details and sent them off to tempin Croydon, they don’t respond if you have a problem with tempin you should report higer, and tempin if you need a manager I will actually come in and help as I have retail experience and manager experience and would have that place up and running in no time unlike DAVID. I’ve also been told many staff have left due to his poor treatment.

The worst place to go bowling or play any games either with your family or friends please guys avoid this place, I went on my birthday with all my friends, tried playing some games to start but some games take the money but don't run, I did tell the staff but they were just passing it to other staff to sort it out an I had to wait for most of the games that didn't run even after putting the coins, then we tried playing some sega games on multi player but trust me it gets worse so don't waste your money even trying it an complaining to the staff makes it even more complicated. Now the bowling we went a little late but the catch of the owner is to put online some offers where bowling is very cheap but again you can try to book it an it will always say fully booked but when you arrive at the place all the lanes are mostly unoccupied till the end we even finished the game still all the lanes were empty so basically they put the offers online but you can't buy them so you have to come to the counter an buy it an let me tell you its doubled the prices. Now booking bowling the staff have there own rules which are not anywhere on the posters example closing up early an other few rules it will surprise you, so overall if someone would like to save your day from ruining an especially on your birthday or with family then this is not the place to go, an overall the most worst thing is that the staff are very rude an specifically the manager very rude an have no experience in customer service at all. If i was the owner i would give him some training on how to deal with the customers an your staff aswell same thing. Visited on the 13th October night time. I would suggest a place called Gravity in Wandsworth, has good games an staff are always present for any assistance, also many games available an online booking works cheaper.

Staff are not particularly knowledgeable about company policies. This is very frustrating because it leads customers to pay more than they should due to lack of knowledge. The company policy on student discount is clear on the website but not clear for the staff, I (the customer) was not aware of the student discount policy so I asked staff what the policy was. One staff member said she did not know and the other said student discount is not something they do. Trusting the advice of an employee I paid full price for the game of bowling. I then went to look on the company website and it was clear that they do offer student discount but at certain times (which I was in the right time adhere to this rule) so I went to ask the employee once more. She then changed her answer and told me “it’s only available online” to which I then check the company website again and in the terms and conditions this was not the case again. She then tried to tell me it’s only available at a time and day that is not today to which I checked the website and once again this was not the truth. This is very frustrating and in my opinion terrible service, had I been told “I don’t know” it would have been a lot easier for me to do my own due diligence and check but even when I did this and a manager was brought to resolve the issue she tried to insist on the same untrue statements the previous colleague had been mentioning. In my opinion, the whole staff needs to be retrained on customer service and company policy to ensure customers are treated fairly and correctly. It does not take 1 hour to check this as I found it within 2 minutes just looking on the website. A very bad experience coming to tenpin and I can confidently say I will not be visiting again

We've been coming here for years and it's a good place to have fun. BUT upon our recent visit 2 weeks ago, we pre-booked and paid online for the drink and 2 games deal. We was asked for ID when we arrived to collect our drinks(the whole party was 18+ and had ID) yet was refused and was forced to swap them for soft drinks when we'd already paid too!!! The lady was so rude and then proceeded to make her own rule up that 'anyone in the 2000's can't have more than one drink on the premises as they'll be sick'. It literally made no sense at all and we lost our money as we paid online. I do want to say that the young boy and girl on the bar were both lovely and need more appreciation!!

I try to book a reservation online 1 month in advance but the online portal wasnt workin, i tried several times, i call but had to wait so long to get assistance, when i finally booked the call cut off but no one called or email me the confirmation information, i had to call and go back through the entire process. We got there 15 minutes late for our game and we are only allowed 1.5 hours per game so we were told we wouldn't get back the time. The game had error 5 times and we didnt get added time back. We didn't like the fact the 20 minutes before our time was up there was another group coming to us saying our time was up making us look as if we were going over our time or something, they just stood there, it was very uncomfortable.

We booked 2 games of bowling, the queue to check in was long, we started on time, my understanding was we have about 2hrs for 7 ppl to play two games, (according to info provided when booked). After hour and half we were told we need to move as next booking due to start, not even warning before. And we ordered food to lanes which took over 30mins to arrive. Was not impressed by how unprofessional it was to tell us we just need to move even-though we had time slot. It could have been organised or dealt with better especially the players were only children. Food was cold, not the best. To add to that when we arrived our lane it was not clean. Place over crowded, I wouldn’t repeat this experience and will venture to find new places.

I booked karoke for 5.30 and arrived at 5.15 as advised. We first tried the original room booked and the staff couldn’t start the machine. After 20 minuets we moved into the other room to do the process all over again! After 40 minuets they offered us bowling instead but I asked for a refund due to the £40 I had spent on it. The manger made no acknowledgment of me no even a hello. He processed the refund and said I would ‘get it in a couple day’. I asked for a receipt and was met with an eye roll and a piece of paper throw at me. The staff were attempting to help but the customer service from the manager was absolutely disgusting as well as the whole affair being a total waste of time!

Honestly if you have not other choice then go here. It's unorganised chaos, the bowling was booked. Limited time per game. Even when the queues are sooooo long to even confirm your name to check in. Technology is soo poor. No bowling balls to be found, machinery not working correctly.. service much to be desired. An extra star as the arcade is good fun for the kids, althought still had tech issues. So much potential to be a better experience.... this review is based on visiting 3 times and once for a child's bday which i wouldn't recommend booking here either. Doesn't work. Got threatened to be kicked out because of bowling in a closed lane for practice. She could just politely tell me to stop instead of threatening me I am a paying customer. The scoreboard didn't work, making up scores, gave a strike for a gutter board, gave a 7 for not even throwing the ball etc.. When we complained, staff were useless. They moved us to another lane but refused to restart the game due to all the wrong scores and said it's impossible for them to restart the game. I wonder if our game is still ongoing now given they don't know how to restart a game. How hard is it to just allow bowling. Worst ever experience, should be shut down.

I'd have normally rated this place 5 stars for the service, facilities and staff members, HOWEVER, just look at the included pictures. There's dust and dark muck stuck to the ceiling that is literally inches thick!! I mean honestly, have the ceilings never been cleaned since the place opened?? Do yourself a favour a look at the ceiling above the bowling lanes next time you visit. Surely this cannot be good for people with respiratory conditions and even for younger customers and pretty much anyone else. Nobody deserves to play in such a filthy environment. Facilities, if you're reading this, get your act together!

Today I visited Tenpin with few of my friends i was very disappointed about today service i was waiting for book bowling so i asked nicely but men was quiet angry i don't know why so we told him we are student so asked for student id so i showed my one but he wanted to see everyone id but i didn't hear properly because of the music so asked him his saying wasn't clear to me so he approach to me and shouted about " i need to see to see everyone id" which i didn't like the way he told me he was making angry face . I didn't get that kind of service before today i was very disappointed.

Enjoyed 2 games of bowling with the Tuesday evening deal which meant it was not too expensive. Lane was ready for us with no wait and everything was working well. The only complaint was with cleanliness. There was food left everywhere in our lane and the table was absolutely filthy. Thankfully toilets were pretty clean. Not too busy when we arrived at around 6pm but pretty busy by the time we left. Service at the bar and reception were both quite slow but staff were all friendly

Slowly run as the staff seem to be more interested in talking with each other than helping people. The male toilets have the worse smell I’ve ever smelt, it actually burnt the hairs in my nostrils, I believe a hamsters cage that hasn’t been cleaned in a month with the rotting corps of the hamster still in would smell better, I’m sure this would be a violation to environmental health. If visiting make sure you’re able to do everything yourself and not in need of going to toilet.

Packed on Saturday evening. The queue to check in was minimal. All bowling alleys were occupied. ⏰ Approx 15 mins for one game per person allocated. ‍Staff were helpful when needed. Also available to play are snooker tables (£1.50) , air hockey and a number of others. Difficult to find parking and is very tight spaced slots. Based on other reviews I didn't bother to get food here. Good indoor space to spend some time.

Black lady at the checkout extremely rude to customers AND colleagues! Complaining about the cashier taking too long for a large group paying for bowling and holding up the queue but refusing to pull her weight and open a till! Poor attitude, very inappropriate and has no clue how to communicate in a polite manner to customers and colleagues. Also refused payment at the bar and forced to pay via the app taking 10x longer than necessary.

Nice little bowling alley it has been up dated since last visited. The bowling alley now has better technology and systems. The alley doesn’t seem to crash anymore and you can play a full game without asking for assistance. It’s best to pre book online and confirm your space before visit. In saturdays it gets very busy and very noisy inside. The place does need more bowling balls though. It has an arcade inside the bowling alley with quite a variety of games and you can buy food and drink inside

If I could rate this venue 0 stars I would. Absolutely awful service from David who said he was the manager. He was the only person serving both the main counter and the bar, as the rest of the team were doing a team meeting, which involved them bowling. He was very unhelpful, sarcastic and just rude. Additionally we had booked to play 2 games online but when we arrived we were told as it was after 4pm so we could only have 1 game and that the staff did not deal with online bookings???

Disappointed with the lack of prizes to be had when my 8 year old son actively went on a winning ticket spree. Only 2 tubs of sweets and then everything out of reach from his 800 ticket win. He came away from a fun 2 hours so disheartened. We were told we could keep the tickets for next time but quite frankly I don’t want to go back. If he persuades me to then I do hope you get more choice of prizes in. I’ll call in advance. Please do checks on the toilets- awful and disgusting.

Lanes have improved. The quality and comfort of the the new balls are A1. Tenpin wasn’t a place I would think to order but the quality of the burgers is actually decent (the chicken burgers slaps). Only thing left to improve is the customer service, they have some good staff but then you got others that act like they don’t want to be there.

Enjoyed a family game of bowling earlier today (Bank holiday Monday). Our game was slightly delayed by about 15 mins on one lane. Would be great if the allowed for transistions between different groups - as we then delayed the family after us. As per usual the kids were able to enjoy a few arcade games too before our table at one of the restaurants near by was ready. Good value family game. Good value arcade games

We booked the Player One Bday Party Bash for our 5 year old daughter. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The party was very well organised, kids were entertained. The party hosts go above and beyond to make sure everything is running smoothly. Very impressed. Thank you to all who worked on Sunday 26th 10am - noon.

My son had the best birthday party here. Yes it's super early, but it's so worth it. Please forward this to Croydon Tenpin. Our party host C******r was great. She was on the ball with our needs, balloon modelling was great, she never kept us waiting long if we needed something. And thanks to all the other staff too, it was a pleasent experience. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THE PARTY PACKAGE

My son went bowling there, it’s changed significantly since I last went a few years ago, the games look newer and are arranged better and there’s more space for adults to relax or play pool while tweens enjoy games. There’s some snacks available as well but I didn’t eat anything.

The place is great, but it's poorly managed. The manager with the glasses hides when he sees unhappy customers. Maybe he is not trained to do such a job. The spinner was without tickets, which is normal until the moment you already waited for 30 minutes and made your way to the till 5 times to ask if someone is coming..

Booked space for my daughter's bday party in Nov last year. Wasn't impressed at all with the service provided. Had to ask for literally everything. Spent time arranging things and coordinating with staff members rather than enjoying the bday party which is a shame! A decent place otherwise to spend time with friends.

Lovely ambience, the kids had fun bowling. The only issue was there was only 1 staff member serving at the check-in, so you have to wait in the queue if you want something else from the shop, for example, hot or cold drinks.

The customer service was really shocking! Once I got to my lane and was waiting for five minutes but the gate was yet to open. No one was around to help so I then went to the till and was told I had to wait for someone to open the gate - this took forever. As a result, I did not get the 1 hour game time I payed for.

For the money paid, it was worth it, safe atmosphere, nice staff, more than 10 bowling channels, lot of other games fits with any child and even adult mentality, lot of restaurants & shops around, avaliable free parking

Pretty standard bowling alley. If your looking for a less busy place with no children or teenagers most definitely don’t come here ! Very loud and busy. Good cheap bowling and lots of different arcade games such as pool , table tennis and the classic punching bag score game.

Amazing staff. The front of house staff was up against it as it was really busy and she handled it fantastically, nothing was wrong with our booking. Everything was great. Staff are great, food and drink is delicious and the bowling is as fun as fun can be. Incredible.

We had Tenpin 2 lanes booked for a b'day. It was OK but not great. The system got stuck halfway so we lost some time. And before our kids finish two games the time was up.

I played with this machine. £5 dropped to the trays but I couldn't take the £5 out. The manager came out and said I didn't win. No help at all. So weird!!! Upsetting me
