I have been a patient at Tessa Jowell GP Surgery since they opened as four surgeries merged together. I have to admit this the worst experience ever and frustrating. The main issues I faced is the inability to secure an appointment. Every times I need to make one, I encounter a multitude of obstacles, to make it a nightmare to get basic medical care. Firstly, the booking process which it is called is diabolical. You have to call at 8am when that is the time when you need to commute to work to get there on time for 9am. However, when you do call there is a 20 minute getting through the line as busy then another few minutes to explain the issue to be told no appointments today. So not only do I need to do this process all over again but I late for work for appointment I could not book unless I still on hold to book and disclose my personal details on public transport. Alternatively I have been told about an external app. Again had to explain to every admin or receptionist I speak with that on several occasions I cannot connect to either app suggested because numerous issues recognising me with NHS number or other details or issues with download as a patient. This infuriated me, to know that not only people with disabilities do not count but patients are not valid. Leaving patients feeling where to turn for healthcare which I currently need assistance for and also take daily medication for. Another concern is when you have a test result, such as a blood test. Challenging again to get an appointment for results to be told everything normal but I know my body which is why I had concerns which are ignored constantly. Very concerning as I still have the same issue I have been complaining about and still not resolved. Mean while patients are made to suffer with pain, anxiety and worry because they are another number. If I did not chase about my results then I never would have known the outcome which is worrying. Another lack of of poor communication all round for patient care. Further more, I have noticed lack of reception staff and my own observations during my visits and phone conversation of several instances of unfriendly, unhelp communication ever to get rid of patient of the phone quickly. This is very concerning given the type of job where they are the first point of contact with patients which should be welcoming all and showing understanding and support where needed. Especially in this type of sector it is like admin or receptionist just are there. Overall, experience with Tessa Jowell GP Surgery has been disheartening and frustrating. The difficulty in securing appointments, lack of any communications, follow-up for test results and unhelpful service has made my anxiety and blood pressure rise to receive the care I need in order to function daily in life. I hope the practice take the follow comments on board and make the necessary adjustments to better the serve to their patients which is the very reason for the surgery.

I have been a patient at the Tessa Jowell GP Surgery for quite some time now, and I must admit that my experiences have been overwhelmingly frustrating. The biggest issue I have faced is the inability to secure an appointment. Every time I need to make one, I encounter a multitude of obstacles, making it an absolute nightmare to receive any medical care. Firstly, the booking process is cumbersome, as it is managed via an external app. More often than not, the app states that the Tessa Jowell GP Surgery is offline and currently unavailable for online requests. This is infuriating, to say the least, and leaves patients feeling helpless and unsure about how to proceed with their healthcare needs. Another area of concern is the lack of follow-up on test results. After going through the challenging process of getting an appointment and undergoing tests, there is no proper communication regarding the outcome. Patients have to wait and go through the same nightmarish appointment process again to remind the practice to check the results. I believe this occurs because the staff completes the initial request and closes it at their earliest convenience without ensuring that the patient has been properly cared for. Furthermore, I have noticed a trend in reviews about the reception staff, which I find to be quite accurate. From my own experience and observations during my visits, I have witnessed multiple instances of receptionists being unfriendly and even clueless. This is particularly concerning given that they are the first point of contact for patients and should provide a welcoming and supportive environment. Overall, my experience with the Tessa Jowell GP Surgery has been disappointing and frustrating. The difficulty in securing appointments, the lack of proper follow-up, and the unwelcoming reception staff have made it an ordeal to receive the care I need. I truly hope that the practice takes these concerns into consideration and makes the necessary improvements to better serve its patients.

Sometimes I wonder how this practice is still running and if there was an option to score 0 starts, I would have chosen that. Not sure from where to even start.. 3 months ago my fiancée came up with a horrible allergy all over her skin - she has desperately reached out to seek help as she previously had a bad allergy to tomatoes which ended up with her nearly suffocating. The first doctor which consulted her laughed in her face and said she has acne on her body without even touching, examining and prescribed 2 classic creams for ACNE! After that, of course it got worse and my partner was scared to even touch food as she got to the point where she had no idea what is triggering this. She had two more appointments when they have finally realised it's an allergy but they still had no idea to what.. so why not stuff her with more creams and do some experiments and see what works?! We ended up, LUCKILY, going to our home country not long after and resolved the medical situation in a week. She is now aware of other allergies that she has and the doctor that consulted her had SYMPATHY, something which is fully lacking in this practice. Today, she has called again with a different emergency as she hasn't slept in the last 30 hours and only seeked some medicine to make the pain go away.. no consultation as she has no more expectations of this practice anymore. She called the practice after the e-consultation and begged for someone to call back and let her know what medicine can make the pain go away and she didn't get any response. Thanks God there are amazing and qualified people in pharmachies who sometimes save pacients lives better than some called doctors! Will not be returning here, you need to gain sympathy and respect the occupation that you have chosen to do! Not to mention to respect the community that needs so much support!

Doctor referred me for a brain scan. Hospital told me the result would be three days. 7 weeks after the scan, and having chased the result countless times I called to be told the result was there and a doctor would call me. Spoke to the doctor the follow day who informed me there has been some deterioration since my last brain scan (I have a pre-existing brain injury). Understandably, this is a concern to me. When asked what that actually meant, I was told "what people need to understand is that when they send patients for these sorts of tests we cannot interpret the result". Doctor then told me that he would need to refer me to the hospital that originally treated me brain injury, and a few days later I got a text with instructions to make an appointment at the Headache Clinic. Had a look on the Headache Clinic's webpage to see the services they provide and for who. Called to question whether this was the correct procedure, not least because there was a 26 week wait for an appointment. Asked to speak to practice manager. Was told I needed to email in my 'complaint'. Spoke to headache clinic who explained they do not provide a brain scan interpretation service for GP surgeries and the correct procedure is for the GP surgery to email the neurology department who will provide the necessary report. I appreciate the NHS is grossly underfunded ... but surely all the more reason to work more efficiently. And as has been commented on by others, the attitude of some of the staff at this practice absolutely stinks.

My poor review is down to my experience with admin queries. I recently had to get a doctor to sign a form to say I was medically fit to start a new job, and my experience was awful. I logged the request at the start of January and was mindful/understanding that it may take a while due to GPs being busy after COVID. Weeks later I heard nothing so went into the practice- was told then that there was a backlog and it could take another week. I went in again over a week later, and was told for the first time that admin was taking 2-3 months and I was better going private. Why was this the first time I was told this? I rang again a week later and reiterated how urgent this was as it was preventing me from earning an income- I was then told several times it had been be escalated to the admin manager and to ‘wait by my phone’. Again no one contacted me so I rang several times more and was told to log it on ask my GP. On ask my GP they replied and told me to email the query straight to the admin email address- this was around 3 weeks ago and I still haven’t had a response or acknowledgement from the admin team. The process/management of admin queries is absolutely abysmal- patients should at the very least be told upfront how long queries will take. I ended up going private and got it done on the same day.

This is for the GP surgery. Specifically booking appointments, reception staff, and picking up prescriptions. Impossible to get through reception via phone. Spent 35+ mins earlier, plus 3 separate 20+ min calls later in the day ON HOLD with no luck. With a newborn at home, I can't spend more than two hours just to be able to book an appointment. Their callback service doesn't work... they won't call you back! (On other days I've had times when the automated system hang up on me, during business hours). Once, they didn't call me for my appointment. I had rushed home (with newborn!) to be able to take the call. Then they called me the next day without letting me know in advance. In person, I've found one of the receptionists very rude when I went to pick up a prescription a GP had left for me. I didn't expect to be spoken to in such a way. It resulted in me leaving the clinic in tears. Their system for sending prescription to pharmacy was broken. I had to go in person to pick up a prescription physically which puts me (and my 10 day old baby) at further risk of covid exposure. How can a service that's supposed to be helpful be so detrimental to heath and wellbeing!? So frustrating and impossible to get care! Hopefully CQC will review this clinic soon and take the necessary actions.

I used to always say that Tessa Jowell Health Centre was a really good GP but the experience I had today trying to book an appointment was really upsetting and shocking. The male receptionist who called me was so rude and patronising for really no reason. When I calmly and politely explained that due to the nature of my job I would be unable to take a triage call today, but I don't mind waiting until next week or whenever the next call is possible, he proceeded to tell me that "GP's are busy people too". I work for the NHS, in a very underfunded and pressured service and so I have really reasonable expectations and would never blame frontline staff, which I said to him on the phone, I was clear that in no way was this system his fault, but I need to know how I can book an appointment if I cant pick up my phone any hour of the day. No matter how much pressure we are under in the NHS it is never an excuse to be unprofessional and rude to patients, to the point where I was quite upset. I have tried calling the practice to feed this back but can't get through.

  • Sarah - SJA Holistics

Strange interaction with the very combative and unnecessarily snippy receptionist. I googled the health centre but for some reason, it goes through to the GP. The receptionist seemed triumphant that I had made an error and come through to the wrong department. I was ringing to see if I can definitely visit tomorrow for a walk-in blood test. Seems I can't, the system changed a week ago. She seemed to want to get me off the phone as fast as possible and direct me back to my own GP. Didn't want to take any responsibility for the fact the gmaps listing goes through to the wrong department, which is hardly my fault! I finally got the number for the health centre, which I'd been trying to connect with in the first place. It was relayed to me and then she hung up, no goodbye of course! A bizarrely unfriendly and aggressive manner. Either she needs some training, is in the wrong job, or is working in an unsupportive toxic work culture where defensiveness and aggression is the only way to survive.

** LONG COVID, ME/CFS, LYME, chronic illness sufferers **  I urge you NOT to register with this practise. They are unwilling to prescribe even the most basic of medications for symptom relief & I've been denied access to blood tests to monitor my illness as I've been left with no choice but to self medicate. You'll be referred to Guy's & St. Thomas's LC Clinic which is equally dreadful & you will be gaslit further. I've been told repeatedly that 'there is still so much we do not know about the long term consequences of covid'. This is untrue. There are thousands of papers & studies re. Long Covid & decades of work on ME/CFS & post viral illness. It took almost a year & a trip to A&E to finally be referred to a gynecologist. They cannot be familiar with the GMC's duty of a dr. Today we hear yet another long hauler has taken his life. By doing nothing, you are doing more harm.

  • paige richards

I have been up since 9am today waiting for a call from the GP in regards to test results (I don't know what for) I was told I would be called between 9am and 1pm. With no phone call I have just attempted to call only to get the automated response stating that you are now closed. This is absolutely poor. First of all Im left to panic for a week wondering what test results you are talking about and when I finally this I am getting an answer I have none and I'm just left yet again by the GP services. Gone downhill so much since the merg with the other 2 GP practices and with the way the appointments work. I will be writing a formal complaint which, I have never done although I probably should have a few times. DO NOT GIVE PEOPLE SATURDAY APPOINTMENTS IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO FOLLOW THROUGH

  • Steve Hedger

Absolutely THE WORST doctor's surgery I have ever come across. Building is both well equipped and smart, the staff are neither. I appreciate when you are dealing with people with all manner of ailments, it must become easy to be uncaring and indifferent, but Jesus Christ this place has barely been open 10 minutes. I can't imagine how bad it will when they have been open a while. Its the same comments over and over about this surgery - ages to answer the phone and as good as useless when they do. I can only assume when the job ads went out for the place, an essential criteria was taking no pride in your work and that experience working in a customer service based setting was absolutely not required. Walk the extra 10 minutes to the next surgery, avoid this one like the plague.

  • Iulia Alexandra Marutan

I have never met such unprofessional and rude staff. Your pain seems like a joke to some people and they are really not considerate of their patients. I do understand that there may be busy periods especially during the challenging times we leave in, but at least be nice, respectful and set some expectations for patients.. if you can only see them in 2 months than please state from the beginning and don’t diagnose them over phone or email and when they come in treat them like they have a deadly disease! (Sometimes they do not even examine patients but they take you for useless chit-chats when your body is the main proof!) Every time I went there I was really disappointed (with 1 exception of a lady doctor who was the first person in this clinic which was kind) such a shame

  • Rita Kokay

I would give this surgery 0 stars if it was possible and would like to nominate it to UK's worst GP surgery. It's impossible to get to speak to your gp over the phone and to see them face to face is something you can't even dream of. The receptionists wouldn't connect me when I had very unpleasant side effects of my meds and had suicidal thoughts. I was left completely on my own to sort out what was best for me and had to actually google how to wean myself off the meds. Now I have been asking for a doctor's note to say that I am exempt from wearing masks on flights and they are just not providing me with it, not even responding to my emails. Luckily I'm changing surgery now, anything will be better than Tessa Jowell.

  • Vic E

I went here for a scan, the information point ladies really friendly and helpful as was the nurse that helped me. Unfortunately I came on a Saturday and one when there were lots of bus replacement rail services and lots of traffic.. so its worth checking the journey and allowing plenty of time to get here.. otherwise, it's about 8mins walk from the station. There is a bus stop right opposite, #37 and #42 go past here. East Dulwich station rail replacement bus stops are a little appart depending on the direction of travel, hope the pics are helpful but if you want to find bus stop U, it's opposite the church (in pic).

  • Lucy Brook

Have been here several times for vaccines and blood tests, although am not with this GP I have had an appointment through extended service. Staff have been pleasant and helpful of my experience. There is onsite chemist, toilets, and water dispenser which is near the stairs. Waiting times for getting blood tests are reasonable. Only downside is lack of benches outside being only 1 bench, there is plenty of space for at least 2 more as shown in images. Some people inculding myself may not want to rush off after blood tests etc or have a disability, wanting some fresh air and rest.

  • Karis No

Doctors are great when you can get an appointment. They recently moved to using online booking system to avoid the 8am calls, but it's SO much worse. You still need to login at 8am and instead of fighting on the phone to get through (it's still incredibly busy), you've also got to hope and pray the online appointments are still available. Much like calling in, if you don't login at 8am, there's no way your getting an appointment. It's s frustrating. I've been trying to get the GP to sign a form for me - doesn't need an appointment, but it's been 3 months of no replies etc.

  • Frank Kityaba

Total nightmare this practice. Its ok for them to miss your appointment time and call at random time forcing you to miss the call especially at work times. Then you have to wait a day to book the same appointment the following day between a small 20min window starting at 8. You end up just giving up especially when the appointment is most needed. The have no follow up for up for their patients, you are basically on your own. Messed up my whole day work schedule waiting for a call between 8:00 and 8:30 which never happen. Bare in mind the the appointment was set at 8:10

  • Sebastian Oliver

We recently moved to the area and registered with the new shiny Tessa Jowell Health Centre... well don't judge a book by its cover. The service is abysmal, the staff are rude and we never actually get to see a GP. Its impossible to get a face to face appointment for my 4 month old, only phone consultations. I appreciate how over worked the NHS are and we are forever grateful for those doctors, nurses etc that work day in day out but the management of the centre needs a complete overhaul. We are looking into moving the whole family to another GP.

  • Maz

Not fit for purpose. So understaffed its ridiculous. Dad was in pain and had to wait over 2 weeks for PHONE consult. Working for the nhs, I usually see patients in pain on the same day. They have 2 GPs working at a time whilst when it was Hambleden clinic alone before the merger there would usually be more than that which would rarely be enough in the first place. How on earth are 2 GPs meant to cater for patient base of I'm assuming around 15-20,000?! One family member has left and I'm planning to as well unless things change.

  • Idil

Absolute joke of a surgery. I’ve been trying to get a doctors appointment for over a month and every time they say they will call me back, I never get a call. They only do appointments between 8am - 12pm so if you work during those hours you will never speak to a doctor essentially. I have long term medical symptoms and illnesses that need care and attention, I am trying to get a diagnosis and yet I can’t even get a doctor to discuss my blood tests with me let alone properly examine my condition or refer me to a specialist.

  • Wanderlust

Appalling experience from reception. I simply asked one of the woman in the reception (she had her glasses on, dark hair) to check the status of my appointment (as I was waiting for 30 minutes past my appointment time), but she was simply rude and did not explain why she wouldn't help when she was the only person in the reception area. Shame, as the doctor took time to listen and tried to help even though they were understaffed. Unfortunately reception is useless in this centre. Just make the auto check in work..

  • Lily Pad

It is near impossible to get through to the GP Surgery on the phone. I have tried four times to get in contact now over the last several days, holding for up to 45 minutes one one occasion. I have then taken the option to request a call back, but it doesn't seem to work as no one phones me back. I just tried a fifth time and someone answered after 14 minutes of holding. That isn't good enough. I would walk in to speak to someone in person but that isn't allowed due to Covid. The system needs improving urgently.

  • Helen Stennett

Absolute shambles of a booking system, no face to face appointments EVER!! Have to go through ask my GP website where someone is meant to call you back yet no one ever does. The male telephone operator is vile, cuts you off all the time and talks over you, doesn’t let you speak then makes a mockery of you by saying “try again tomorrow or call 111” They lie constantly about the doctor trying to ring you no one rang my phone which was on and working. Who’s ever idea it was to implement this system needs sacked.

  • Leanne Beckford

I spoke to a horrifically rude, patronising and unprofessional male receptionist today. Loud sighing, talking over me and repeating himself loudly, while I was explaining my situation calmly. I have no idea how this individual can work in care it’s frightening. He came across very ignorant, uneducated with a highly disturbing attitude. I understand that the NHS are facing cuts and are underpaid but it seems that the quality of staff has really gone downhill for some. I will not be visiting this surgery.

  • Morgan Burdick

If I could rate zero stars, I would. Day lewis pharmacy is fantastic, but this place is wretched. I have repeatedly tried to book an appointment through their ridiculous my GP app and over the phone for suspected bronchitis to no avail. Their booking website does not work and their staff are rude when you request not to use it, as though elderly people and the disabled would be able to use it? I’ve now had to book a private appointment elsewhere in order to feel better after days of feeling unwell.

  • Tyler-Jay Johnson

This Gp is all over the place. The worst decision was to merge the three clinics together. The Gp team have no idea what they are doing half the time, I'm always sent appointments that are not actually for me but for the Gp to speak to each other about me. As well as being sent all of the written communication between the doctors which I should of never been sent. To also being denied a shared care plan for absolutely no reason. The place is an absolute shambles, will be happy to move from here

  • Paul Wilson

The experience of walking with a referral letter referring myself for a stroke assessment was infuriating. The problem, and blocker of appointments, was an extremely unpleasant male receptionist. He was angry before I even opened my mouth and claimed that he didn’t know what a stroke was because, “I’m not a clinician”. He also repeatedly misunderstood me due to the fact that wasn’t even pretending to listen. An extremely unpleasant individual who should be nowhere near patients.

  • C'C

Nuerology was empty but was left waiting over an hour past my appointment time with another lady infront of me. Reception staff absolutly USELESS - one was a trainee and the lady that was supposed to be training him was laughing and facetiming her friend. This resulted in the neurologist not being told that I was there and I was marked as a no show. Despite me going up to reception numerous times to check on my appointment. So unprofessional and a complete waste of my time.

  • Mireia Martinez

Got referred here for an urgent appointment after calling 111… place is lovely and clean, reception staff lovely but I felt the doctor was really dismissive of my condition and didn’t take me seriously…. I had to practically beg her to prescribe me the medication I urgently needed. During our appointment she was playing music from YouTube and singing whilst I was in discomfort.. very unprofessional. Appart from that doctor everything else was fast and efficient.

  • Geraldine Finney

Typical NHS facility left to find your own way around. I have added this having seen the other reviews. You MUST differentiate between the GP practice that is located in this building and all the many and various other services which are located in this building and ate NOTHING AT ALL to do with the GP practice. GP practice reviews are more powerful on the GP practice website because that's what CQC see and it is part of how a rating is awarded.

  • Ibrahim Aplus

I was directed to this place by my local GP surgery after I initially try to to get an appointment. Its a beautiful place and the staffs at the reception are very friendly especially the guys with the earring , the only reason I removed two star was because of my experience with the doctor . I waited waited and waited without being called but most people that arrived after me were seen. I almost give up the appointment

  • Deborah Bankole

A negligent practice that specialises in inefficiency. Twice now I have attended an appointment for something serious for which the doctor has detailed they'd make a hospital referral, only for this just not to happen. I call up, find out a referral has not been made and have to book another appointment, just to get the referral I was due. They have no concept of the fact they are dealing with people lives.

  • Alice King

I had a blood test here back in May, and I was treated with the upmost dignity and respect by Lance(I think he was called). After my tests I started to feel unwell and lightheaded, and I was allowed to sit and relax until I felt ready to go. I was treated with compassion and understanding, and made to feel welcome. Thank you very much to the team for taking care of me that morning. I really appreciated it!

  • Georgina Carless

I don't normally review things, but seeing as there are so many negative comments here, I thought I would share that I have found the Tessa Jowell Centre reception staff and doctors thoughtful, attentive and efficient - so far - I only joined fairly recently. It is very useful to have the blood test centre in the same building and a chemist just outside. Hope the centre goes from strength to strength !

  • Louise Andrews

Chasing appointments and accessing results is almost impossible. The doctors and nurses seem professional enough when you finally get to meet them but breaking through the receptionist barrier is painful. I just called to get overdue results and was told to chase up again next week....there appears to be no proactive attempt to do anything, it's entirely up to the patient to drive any action.

  • DreamCatcher21.

The reception staff is either lazy or provocative. They think they are there to do what? Phone calls are the first step to get a task started and if they skip it, they drink coffee or tea for as long as they wish! And we are all paying for this kind of sad and even offensive performances! I have left this surgery (if you can call it that). 3rd World quality services in 21st Century England

  • harley hamilton

Went for an ultrasound here for the first time, to check my ovaries as I have a cyst NEVER again... Rude Doctor!! Inconsiderate didn't even say hello or bye, didn't introduce himself, made me feel worthless. Didn't explain anything unless I asked, felt so unwelcome, especially being stressed about my symptoms and never having this scan done before. Disgusting honestly, horrible place

  • Helena Nicholls

This surgery wouldn't see my baby to diagnose a viral illness, which led to 7 hours in the over-stretched A&E where she became distressed and dehydrated and her condition worsened and became life threatening. No phone appointments available and they do not answer econsult forms within the time they specify. A dangerously incompetent medical practice with a good pharmacist attached.

  • Sara Hashmi

Very bad service, I was the only one patient there sent by NHS health services, Gp I visited took1hr 40min to see my daughter who had a very high fever 39.5 due to throat infectionand she sent us back saying just take Calpol she can't give any antibiotics. We had to rush to hospital and they give her antibiotics and proper medical care. And health centre parking send us£85 ticket

  • Tim Guest

My god, this place is abysmal. Impossible to get an appointment, impossible to get through on the phone. You're directed to an online service that barely, if ever, works. Today it's closed for 'training'. How does an app need training? I feel particularly sorry for the elderly and anyone not online trying to contact this centre (not that anyone else can either tbh).

  • Clive Cockram

the staff are lovely when you go in in person but access is all but impossible via the internet services. Unable to access blood test results. The askmy GP service is not accessible. Basically the barriers to access are formidable and the website very difficult to use, particularly for the very group of people who are most likely to need help with access

  • Mariola

Very beautiful place, empty with an incompetent staff. They will change your appointment and never let you know about it. The doctors do all they can to not see you face to face. The receptionists have no clue how to help you. They will email doctor that is still in the building and ask about you, because they afraid to call them!. Avoid!!!

  • AGRO BUSINESS

At Hambleden clinic patient for years which used to be very good practice . But things are completely change now with Tessa Jowell! Although doctors and nurse are doing great before Covid 19- but introducing “e-consult” .is depressing and phone call with the reception to book appointments is even worse. We are considering to have a new GP.

  • Ivy Ocansey

It is impossible to book appointment in this new surgery. I called for same day appointment and requested for call back it took them 56 mins. To get a call back. Also no appointment and before I can see any doctor three weeks time. From the 25h of march to 19 of April. The staff don't have any caring attitude or empathy for the patients.c

  • Fernando Lanza

I've just spoken to a woman from the out of hours service supplied by NHS111 and has been absolutely awful. She was extremely rude. While I was informing my partner about her advice she said things like: "I can hear you whispering, you know". However, the best of her knowledge is that sinusitis is not treated with antibiotics - shocked.

  • Sophie Niechcial

Absolutely abhorrent care and treatment from this GP practice. Should not be allowed to deal with the general public let alone vulnerable patients. Terrible system and service, leave you without vital medications and have to jump through many hoops in order to have health needs met- hardly ideal when being so unwell. Grossly negligent.

  • Oscar Anie

It's great that you can park there for free. Just need to input your car registration. The staff are generally nice and the place is clean and tidy. Face mask, gloves and hand sanitizer are available when you enter. They provide a board with train times for those who need to travel by train. I find it to be a nice health centre.

  • Adam Prentice

Rude/indifferent staff behind the desk. The doctor continually wrote my notes down wrong and had to be corrected, he was reluctant to run any tests and would rather prescribe medication after a 2 minute talk than look into the problem. Test results are not followed up/you're not informed when you get the results.

  • cecilia harknett

Rubbish service. Wont allow u tospeak to a Doctor even though the Dr has informed u that u can ring him. Never have recieved any information of any results of my treatment. ECG result handed in and yet no results given. What is the point of having Xrays, ECGs, etc when u are never informed of the result.

  • Kurtis Gentry

I'm really unimpressed with this practice, they don't seem to realise they are dealing with peoples lives. They fail again and again to create in person appointments which is why I moved to a surgery near my house in the first place. From the reviews here they are letting lots of people down.

  • Alice Grumley

Not only do they not provide a service for even basic medical problems, they sneakily try to catch patients parking and send them fines. They also don’t seem to answer the phones past 7pm when their website says they close at 8pm. Couldn’t be more disgusted by this so called “service”.

  • George Bozovic

Had a very positive experience yesterday. It took a while to get an appointment for a podiatrist, however once I arrived I did not have to queue. Maximillian was extremely helpful, gentle and kind. He helped with a short term problem and helped schedule a surgery. Thank you very much!

  • Nataledomini Grant

It's new but busy. I think I prefer the old building. The architecture was beautiful. This is a new build and kind of soulless. But it's clean, fresh and you have a greater who directs you in the direction you need to go. You can also park on site and their is a good size car park.

  • Tchofor Terence

It's all about money. I arrived 10mins past the time of my appointment and they refused to see me but surely will collect money from the government for the appointment. If the doctor had taken someone in during my time slot why can't they take me in at the person's time slot.

  • Stefania Pataki

If I could, I would give zero star. Absolutely ridiculous, and rude receptionist, patronising and bossy. She clearly didn’t want to talk to me or help me, as she even said: I don’t need to talk to you, as this is not your GP practice. Mind blowing.. absolutely disgraceful.

  • Arkadiusz Szelag

I have been a Hambleden clinic patient for years which used to be good. Now, since the merger, I never see my doctor and the “e-consult” is just ridiculous. It takes 4-5 days for them to call back, if ever. Looking into changing gp surgeries for me and my family now.

  • Captain Starman

Amazing new building and facilities but the staff are useless and rude. 4 times now I have had to book an appointment online and the GP have never called back. They need a new system and fast as its clearly not working and it's costing people's health and wellbeing.

  • Jessica Watson

Good luck getting an appointment. Every day by 8.05 the capacity is full and there is no way to speak to anyone or book an appointment in advance. I'm giving up and moving to another surgery. Awful app that is hard to use - and I'm young(ish) and computer literate.

  • Emine Oktay

The worst experience that I’ve ever had with a GP. Impossible to see a GP face-to-face, extremely rude and incompetent staff, plus absolutely no help for my condition leaving me to have to quit my job. Will be doing everything I can to change to another practice.

  • Folasade Onanuga

I’m totally disappointed with the services I received from the admin staff. I have to make four trips to the surgery to have my details updated. I filled the form, gave photocopy my passport but yet my details was misspelled. Is frustrating and disappointing

  • Suzi Parsons

I have had good experiences with the practice. Staff are lovely. The online system is slightly fiddly but I do find that they get back to you in good time. The centre is clean, modern and spacious. I'm really pleased and feel confident in the practice.

  • Enola Holmes007

Do not go here for your blood work. After taking your blood they will tell your GP it was cancelled because they did not label it. Be careful hopefully they are not using it for some kind of ritual or something weird. Unbelievable and unprofessional

  • Janai Sachel

Had a blood test referred by my GP. Very short wait time, very efficient. I had Lloyd who was very considerate, friendly and funny. Needles make me very uncomfortable but he was supportive and put my mind at ease. Would definitely come back again.

  • S

So very pleased l switched to Tessa Jowell. I got an appointment on the day, easy parking (remember to enter your car reg inside), was seen on time, greeted by friendly staff, and appreciated the large, clean, new building. Doctor was great, too!

  • Umi Baden-Powell

This place shud be shut down it’s that bad. Rude and incompetent staff. Basic booking Systems don’t work - ‘Ask my GP’ always at max capacity so patients are left not knowing when they will be seen as the staff refuse to book you an appointment.

  • Samz O

terrible service. had serious pain the other day and the doctor dismissed me in less than 2 minutes after spending a month just to book. was told a varies of tests was to occur, but all the doctor did was check my blood pressure and send me out

  • Jean Rogers

Tried to book an appointment. No answer on phone. Left a message as requested. No return call. Submitted an online consultation form which was lengthy and time consuming it said response would be before 6.30 following day. No response. Very

  • Gabriel Gawin

Shockingly bad service. As many others have stated it is impossible to get to see a doctor or any medical care from this practice. They seem to have invested heavily in internet portals and communication systems designed to confuse and

  • Migel Hayles-Taylor

Awful service! They told my brother "we don't have the equipment to remove your stitches" - this is after booking an appointment 1 week in advance. Then they couldn't find a pair of scissors to even attempt a decent fix. Absolute joke

  • R L C

Best GP’s in East Dulwich. These guys have been nothing but brilliant for our whole family. They have always seen our young children the same day of calling and the service with adults is excellent too. Really brilliant practice.

  • Ty Lloyd-Smith

First time using this place. Friendly staff, lots of space. We were called straight away. The Doctor was so helpful she gave us time, her complete attention. First time in a long time I felt the Doctor really cared

  • Trevor Pope-Ellis

Took my infant child here after swelling appeared post inoculations - the ‘Doctor’ Googled the symptoms and gave a diagnosis straight from the (Google) search results… time to invest in private healthcare people.

  • Tamsin Williams

The most awful gp surgery. Messed up my prescriptions rude people on the phone. Left without proper treatment for 2 months resulting in lifelong permanent damage. Takes weeks to get appointment . Good luck

  • THAMARA MBOMYO (Goodiesfire)

It's unbelievable you have to micromanage your GP to get things done, and the worse part is to book an appointment through an App to go through another App. Why are so many people in reception?

  • Dilip Patel

I missed the sign that says my car, even transporting my accompanying disabled mother has to register my licence number on the reception desk console. Will hopefully remember next time!

  • George Flor

I've been with them for many years. They have problems with answering the phone, appointments, losing scans, misplacing tests, etc. Not worth putting your health in their hands.

  • Ozma Lionheart

Utterly useless!! They don't care about your mental health at all. They refused me my covid jab despite the government stating that under 30s should be provided the pfizer jab.

  • Marios Christodoulou

Can't fault it really. Mind you it was Saturday and it was very quiet. But everybody was polite and the doctor was really sweet. Finally a man who is shorter than me lmfao.

  • z

Today I had no other choice but to act in my best interests, and to leave this surgery I have been with it over two years, in that time I have been seen once by one

  • Stephen Granville

It's fantastic in there there was one receptionist that was gossiping through hearing rumours she should be sacked and she's lucky that I didn't cuss out her clart

  • Tom Mouland

Blood test. Quick, efficient, civilised. If you have the option to go here would strongly recommend. A fitting health centre to carry the late Baroness's name.

  • Madeleine D

Went here for a blood test. I’ve got a phobia of needles but they were very accommodating and caring which made the process a lot easier for me. Very grateful!

  • Luca S

Big place with parking, pharmacy and a lot of services. Unfortunately is badly organised. Doctors difficult to meet. If you care of your health go elsewhere.

  • Verity

Been here twice, once for a covid vaccine and once for a blood test and both times it was incredibly efficient - quick and easy and seemingly very well run.

  • Akinwunmi Latunde-Dada

Definitely a significant improvement on the facilities within the older site nearby. This should lift the morale of patients and NHS staff alike. Good work!

  • lee

Booking a gp appointment reminiscent of trying to get Glastonbury tickets, with literally none of the up-sides. Good staff when I've managed to see someone.

  • Sophie H

Waited about 15 minutes for a blood test. I had a lovely lady (I think she was called Rose?) who did a great job - I didn't even feel the needle.

  • C J

Lovely receptionist Jonathan was very kind and helpful in person, as I had been waiting nearly an hour for my appointment. Thank you so much

  • A

GP referred me here and got appointment same day. Very professional and tested my urine on the spot. Given prescription there and then.

  • Laura H

Always had a great experience here, GPs, nurses and receptionists have all been lovely despite the pressure they must all work under.

  • Daniel Smith

I feel that they make booking an appointment so difficult that they don't want to see anyone. Very impersonal. Very poor service.

  • Johannes Williamson

As someone who has a needle phobia remi was amazing and really professional so I had no issues. Super quick service too! Thanks

  • Sam Glynn

Have attended several times for blood tests and the service has always been efficient, and staff very pleasant and helpful.

  • RPH Herb Garden

Appalling. Impossible to get through. The online thing is USELESS. The management of this joke practice should be ashamed.

  • John Noonan

Any experience I've had the Centre has always been professional and helpful courteous. Always happy with the treatment.

  • Olivia Ashby

My experiences here have only been positive. I am always seen quickly and the staff are very polite and friendly.

  • Gloria Cole

Beautiful building clean and fresh !!! Parking !! You will have to pay !! Staff are very helpful !!

  • Marie Burns

I have never had to wait to be seen the staff are very professional and polite too

  • Tibet Ozkan

The doctors that have seen us here have been fantastic and super helpful.

  • Fred Flinstone
