Honestly this place has great deals. I have come here multiple times with colleague's, friends, and family. Every time I have been here the drinks have been reasonably priced, but the bouncer staff here is extremely unreasonable. I am the group that never expects any issue. We roll up, order two beers each, and leave to the next location. The security staff here is on a power trip, and I really reserve that label. All this withstanding I have not been kicked out. I have left when the bar closed. This place is good for a happy hour. Don't come here after hours. They want to close early. Regardless of your tip they will forcibly, and I mean forcibly, boot you out. Google says they are open until 2. Don't arrive after 12 unless you want trouble from the security staff. Really yikes and I hope they fix this situation because it's otherwise a good place

Caveat foreign visitors review After walking around the Marriott Marquis area I must say this is a hidden Jem. Plenty of pretentious bars and clubs in this area. But The Lark a straight forward sports bar (even have cocktails I saw at least 4 expresso martinis being drunk whilst there) which keeps things simple and get the good things right. Local beers and nice bar staff who are more than happy to share advice about the area. By the time I left this place was packed with a good buzz

I was always a fan of this place, and its new location at 685 Market is a solid upgrade. It still has the same welcoming, no nonsense vibe but a bigger better space. Beers are cold, bartenders are friendly, Guinness is fresh and clean. If Anthony Bourdain was still around and visited this place, he would have said come and grab a pint here at 4pm, strike up a chat with someone you wouldn’t normally speak with, and enjoy the ride

Nice selection of mid-high whiskey and tequila (probably other things as well, I just wouldn't know them). Good old fashioned, simple and she made it with the High West double rye because I asked for it. No deviled eggs, we were told that's something people look for but they don't have it. Clean floor, can't say the same about the ceiling. Friendly staff, quick service on a Saturday afternoon.

Good whiskey, and that's about it. The bartenders were rude, the crowd was mundane. The one good thing I could say for the crowd, was that it seemed to be a solid blend of all classes from top to bottom, but the blandest examples none the less. I certainly expected much more than an unpleasant time, and I'm honestly just not that critical kind of guy that writes reviews like these.

If you're looking for a nice glass of whiskey on a chill evening this is the place! Outdoor seating right now is perfect with heaters above every table which was REALLY nice considering the requirement for all restaurants to have all their doors open making it regularly cold. They have a nice selection of various whiskey flights for a reasonable. Highly recommend this spot!

Extremely rude to my friend and I. I came in and politely waited to get a beer and the bartender was super hostile. I was super surprised when the bartender had attitude with everything he said to my friend and I. Came into get a couple beers but didn’t even finish the first one before closing the tab and just leaving because it absolutely ruined the experience.

I love this bar. They have a small selection of wines by the glass and great specialty cocktails that are inexpensive. They offer happy hour, which is always packed. They have a small offering of bar snacks and hot dogs everyday, but sometimes do some pop-ups with restaurants. Prompt service. There are two TVs as well, so it's a great place to watch sports.

Rude staff at the bar. I changed my beer order to different beer brand before the bartender drafted it and also before paying but still he looked like I ruined his day and started to ask me if I am sure several times in very unpleasant way afterwards. Not how you treat your customers, never coming back. At least they had F1 on the TV.

The Lark is a fun, casual bar with good service. It's not very large so don't expect to get all bump and grind, and I don't really think it's much of a "Sports Bar" either since their TVs aren't really that prominent. I would definitely consider it more of a hangout bar. Drinks were good and they have a nice Paloma Slushy.

After a long day of walking around the city, we found The Lark Bar to grab a few drinks. The Paloma Slushy was on point! One of the best cocktails I've ever had. So good! Great local spot in the heart of the city.

Finally! A laid back bar in San Francisco that's not a "lounge" or "club". Just wanted to sit down, talk, have a drink and listen to music. There is plenty of space. They have traditional and some unique original drinks. The bar tenders actually wanted to do their job and they were good at it.

Stopped here for a drink after dinner while on vacation. They're next door to a nice liquor store and carry some of the bottles if you want to try before you buy (why we went there). Had a whiskey flight and my friend tried one of their house made slushes. Good times all around.

Came to The Lark on St.Patricks Day. The atmosphere was great and the jukebox had some great music. Only reason the bar doesn't receive 5 stars is because the bartender refused to make mixed drinks on St.Patricks Day, so we couldn't taste any of the bars signature drinks.

Small, decent sized bar with great whisky options and considerably cheaper prices drinks as opposed to the surrounding bar options. Cleanly styled inside with wood paneling which I assume is the cause of the earthy/oaky smell... Gotta love it.

  • Marisa Lopez

Nice drinks, I only wish that they had their happy hour menu listed somewhere. There was just a sign outside stating that there was happy hour but you needed to ask the bartender what it was (it's just a dollar off the well drinks and beer).

  • Evan Muncy

A great bar with responsibly priced drinks for being located where it is. Wasn't overcrowded and serviced its purpose. The bartender was friendly and generous with the pours. We just happened upon it as we walked and was happy that we did.

I love this place is so close to my home. Every time I am close I want to stayy looks a lot of fun and a lot of people meet there to watch the games. It has tables outside and because of the position itst always sunny. …

I enjoy the new location though I miss the Larklet. Great place to grab a pint and watch some sports, which is strangely hard to find in San Francisco

A GREAT bar to enjoy some drinks and a game...for a Monday the place was packed (convention in town) and bartenders were fast but friendly...no one went thirsty for very long. Will definitely be back next time!!

  • Stosh Kowalski

You have to like kind of tight, noisy and crowded (kind of surprised on a Tuesday night; a good sign it's popular), but this little bar has personality! Great whiskey selection, fast service.

  • Tero Heino

As park central's lobby bar was so sub par we ended up spending most of our evenings in the Lark. friendly staff, decent prices and pretty good selection of different alcohols.

  • Gabrielle Diaz

Super cool and trendy place. Good drinks and staff! Didn't order food as it was a random stop for a few drinks! The slush was delicious, ordered 2 and felt perfect!

  • J. kaufman

In town for a bit... Needed this place for my nightcap each night. Great staff, low key atmosphere, cool vibe, great beers on tap, and a fine selection of spirits.

  • Angelo Rauseo

Efficient and helpful service. The outside sitting area is well lit and heated (very important in San Francisco) and the TVs offer a great view of sports events

  • Hauoli Abe

4/5 because the staff took a long time to even greet us or take our drink orders. But once they did, they were friendly and the brews they make were very good.

  • Donny West

A simple, straightforward, unpretentious sports bar, which was a pleasant surprise for the area. Friendly bartenders and a very relaxed, low-key atmosphere.

  • Chris Els

Pretty much go here every day that I'm in SFO. They are open. They are fun. And the bartenders actually serve you in a timely manner with no tude. Woop Woop

Overpriced bourbons even they are 8+ years old. Not that friendly bartender...

Hotel bars were closed, walked a short distance here and enjoyed a couple drinks. Welcoming environment and lively for a Thursday night.

  • Page Smith

Got completely f***ed up here one time and the server was very patient with our group. Drinks are fairly cheap too, nice spot.

  • Tiffani Hillin

Nice beers on tap. Nice vibe. Friendly bar staff. Rested and had a Stella here after a long train ride.

  • Sam “Knash” Green
