Extremely saddened by what's happened and the suffering they have caused my 11 year old dog. 25 odd years I've been going to this vets and have noticed changes along the way like always needing creams and lotions extra this and extra that. My dog has skin allergies and has been on an injection for this. I changed my insurance and I no longer could get this so I booked an appointment to discuss different oprions as well as some travel sickness advice. The vet gave some tablets so I went away and all was fine and my dog was doing well. My follow uo appointmet I could not make due to problems with work so a call was made ro the vets to cancel. During this call it was mentioned that my dog was doing very well and was happy with the new tablets. I rang for a repeat prescription, I had a voicemail from the receptionist saying no problem pick them up on Monday. I go to collect, my dog on her last tablet now. I got there and was told the vet refused them. I asked why, and was told it was because I didn't come to the follow up and would have to pay another 40 pound for a full appointment. Apparently the vet had rang to tell me this but for some reason they decided leaving a message was not a clever thing to do. I work nights so sleep in the day, I get missed calls, but the clever ones leave a message so I know who has rang and who I need to call back! Anyway I explained I had to cancel and that the vets were informed of why and how my dog was. But they still wanted another 40 quid off me, bear in mind I had just gave 40 quid only two weeks before and my dog had a thorough check. So all in all they wanted 80 quid for consultations alone, not including tablets for the same problem all within 2 weeks. Even though the dog had a full check up, heart etc on the first appointment. One.... why did they not make it clear on the phone that I would be refused further tablets if a follow up appointment was not made I obviously would have re booked! Two, why not just offer me a follow up appointment rather than another 40 quid consultation? Three,... after talking to the vet and explaining my dog was itching again and her skin can get bad quick and also explaining what had happened she still refused to compromise, to be honest im not even sure she understood. Maybe a language barrier? Then I explained I dont even get paid till Thursday and my dog will be chewing her skin by then, she would not even let me have four tablets,(which i could have afforded) to tide her over until I could make another appointment and begrudgingly pay another 40 quid. I mean seriously! How money grabbing have they become and the lack of care for the animal I found shocking! So with that after 25 years I have gone elsewhere. They should be ashamed. Park Vets are the best vetinary group in Leicester. They are the only vets with an animal hospital that is manned 24/7, 365 days a year. The hospital is spotlessly clean as are the surgeries. The most important thing about Park is that the vets have excellent ethics. They look at the best treatment for your pet, not how much money they can get out of you. I was given bad news about my dog Sophie but they have been so supportive. When they rang to tell me, the vet was concerned that I was alone and made sure that I went to someone after the call ended. I highly recommend them and they have cared for all my dogs. They do a healthy dog scheme which is much cheaper than buying the products separately (even on line). The receptionists are friendly. Park look after your fur babies as well as the fur parents.

Zero compassion. turned up there with my mums dying dog half an hr before they closed. they point blank refused to see her (she only needed to be put to sleep) the vet said we do have a life out of this place totally shocked that a vet MONICA would come out with that. they had half hr to go before they closed so they could have seen and treated my dog but told us to go to Glenfield obviously paying £200 just to be seen, all there interested in is money. The hygiene in the place is also diabolical the cleaner just stands outside smoking when she should be inside cleaning. vile! after using them for the past 20 years NEVER again. also the new receptionist is vile (long dark tied back hair late 40's id say) again ZERO compassion.

I had to make an emergency appointment for my dog Chispa. When I telephoned the practice they were quick to make an immediate appointment for me. I was seen promptly when I got there, and my problem sorted straight away. I was supplied with the required medications with strict instructions to administer it. Happily the treatment is working and Chispa is almost back to normal. The vet was lovely with her and us, as we were quite anxious. All I can say is a big thank you to the team, and I would never go anywhere else for Chispas care.

This vets practice is second to none, anyone with a pet will understand that they become a huge part of the family and The Parks Veterinary practice on Saffron Lane treat my dog as just that. He is always treated with affection and treated with the utmost care, all the staff go above and beyond to ensure his welfare and I cannot thank them enough for all that they do. My Labrador Cougar enjoys his visits and becomes excited as soon as he arrives there .

I am so glad with the excellent services they provide to me and my pet I just happy I felted like they understood my concerns and the members of the stuff itself are absolutely kind generous and very wel customer oriented with a great high standards of excellent services The prices aren't that bad and I do recommend this Vets surgery to any whom has pets and live by saffron Lane. 5 starts services . First impression of the vet is a really clean vet, provides hand sanitizer and a friendly poster to advise people to wear masks, which is nice to see. Vets & staff are very polite, friendly, caring & helpful, I can’t praise them enough as they are so good. There are parking right outside the vet, although not many and share with other shop users, I never have problem with parking. Definitely will recommend this vet.

Easy to get an appointment, and staff are friendly and caring, however, the vets knowledge seemed to be poor outside of the remit of cats and dogs. Had to do my own research after my rabbits infection was missed which led to us unfortunately losing him. Had his symptoms been picked up on earlier, we may have saved him, the vet treating him however, seemed clueless on rabbits illnesses and infections.

I took both cats for annual vaccinations, a little later than normal because of COVID 19. The reception staff and the vets have come up with a safe procedure and we were dealt with quickly, cheerfully and with the expected veterinary skill. Sound and compassionate advice was given about my most elderly cat. I am always happy with the care received but especially so in these difficult times.

I've used this veterinary surgery for some years now and the staff are really pleasant and welcoming to pets and owners alike. I've brought my own greyhounds and a couple of foster greyhounds for treatments, medication and surgery (some major) and always received the very best care. Any concerns /questions are thoroughly explained and my mind put at ease. The surgery is lovely and clean.

I would like to say thanks to the saffron road branch. I had to have my 12,1/2 year old Labrador put to sleep last Friday. My family and I was in bits, and was very difficult. The staff was very kind in the way they looked after us made the process a little easier to cope with. Then today we received a card from them, really very kind of them. Thanks again Ian and family

We have been using these vets since they took over our vets many years ago. We have always found them professional in their approach , and when things didn’t turn out well they were very compassionate. We have been taking our last four dogs there. We will now be taking our new pup when he arrives there too as I know they will be there for all his needs in the future.

Only been a customer since November after our previous vet retired. They dealt with our pet prior to this as it was an emergency as the Park Vet Group are the local Emergency Vets and we have had two visits with our other pet, so far they have met our expectations and have helped bring our pets back up to full health.

Just been told that even if I have insurance for my dog I need a minimum of £155 in the bank for my pet to be seen and to make a claim. What a joke, they claim to care about animals but obviously don't care if the animals in pain or not. Really no point in having insurance if I have to pay upfront now is there

Obtained last minute appointment staff on reception very friendly. Not kept waiting long which is good when you have an hyperactive Boxer who wants to play with everyone and thing in the waiting room. Vet explained all easy to understand and gave treats to the dog so she was happy. All in all a great service

Lost my cat millie a week ago. Vet was brilliant . Also received a lovely card. One thing was I got charged for consultation were millie was in pet plan so get one free each year. But I was charged. I paid as I don't mind as long as millie was treated. Thank the staff at saffron Lane.

The best veterinary practice in Leicester. I moved to London but still drive up to Leicester to bring my dog for their expert care. The best service coupled with kindness, empathy and commitment to great care. I wouldn't take my beloved dog anywhere else.

I found a stray dog near by. Took her there to see if she was chipped, thankfully she was so without hesitation they kept her so they could contact the owner. The owner has just called to say he's got her back. Amazing service in an emergency.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Were gentle and caring towards my cat. They gave an aftercare package with clear instructions and booked in for a checkup a week later as part of the fee. Very professional. Most impressed.

Been with Park Vet Group for nigh on 10 years now, always been happy with the vets. Dont seem to money orientated (recommending unnecessary tests) and always talk to Oscar before inserting the thermometer, which is nice.

On a very difficult day they were amazing , from vet to receptionist all the staff are caring and extremely helpful, friendly and professional . I can't thank them enough for all the years they have cared for my pets.

AVOID THIS VETS - Harriet the practice manager and Natasha in accounts are incompetent and unsympathetic. They are just a money making facility they’re care for animals and owners is no existent.
