"Obviously some teething problems at the early Arj Barker comedy show the other night (overbooked seats, disruptive patrons constantly getting up & going to the bar, issues with the lighting & sound), but overall it's great to have a new live venue in the Hawkesbury & I'm excited to see the new owners' plans implemented"

"Friendly ushers, foyer carpet and lounges a bit outdated and not in a cool "federation' way"

Only been there once, however, what an experience….such a charming building …I watched wonks. Enjoyed it tremendously, and thought no screaming kids ..,they had a seperate area behind a screen for them .. a million percent you need to visit you will fall in love with the builidn* too!!!!
The new owners are working to improve the experience, the new ice cream shop is a perfect fit. Very old cinema, has that old smell to it haha. Prices are good, and picture and audio quality is good. Friendly staff, actually talk to you instead of running and hiding like bigger cinemas.
We had such a fantastic time at Richmond Regent this weekend. LOVE that there is a cry room so that I can take my young children to see a movie with my newborn. It was clean and a great experience. Will definitely be going to the movies more often!!
Friendly ushers, foyer carpet and lounges a bit outdated and not in a cool "federation' way. I did like that there was a 'cry' room attached to our cinema (floor level) and would consider going again with my younger children and making use
The new owners have such great views of how this cinema should be going forward the staff are great down to earth and willing to get to really know their community the lates upgrades are great whilst still keeping to the look and feel that
Fantastic family oriented cinema, love the upgrades & the improved candy bar with fresh popcorn & the fact that they still have a crying room for people with babies to sit in - have been coming for over 20 years & will continue to come back
I have so many fond memories of attending this theatre as a child. Im glad my children can now experience the new and rejuvenated version. My kids got the $22 Wonka deal, which included an extremely large popcorn, drink and ice cream with
2 separate theatres with comfortable seats. Quite a bit of maintenance has happened in this place since recent new owners. Kept clean. Good variety of drinks available at ticket counter. Screen, sound and lighting are all very good.
First time I've been here in years and it was great! The seats were comfortable, staff were lovely, candy bar well priced and not too far a drive from home. Definitely will be coming back, especially when the tickets are only $12!
Lovely old theatre and very affordable, but for goodness sake - clean the screen! Its very distracting watching a movie when the screen is so dirty and the cinema 1 screen has a dirty great mark on the bottom right hand corner!
Great little cinema. I went recently with my partner to see the Jason Statham movie and it was so lovely and so much more affordable than the big cinemas. The cinemas are very comfortable and just a really lovely old cinema
A delightful little cinema, with a screen upstairs and downstairs to watch movies. I love the decor, from a time gone past. It is a must visit, a variety of drinks and snacks. Comfortable chairs, lovely staff, easy parking.
I love the $12 every session tickets compared to the big overpriced Cinema chains. Never crowded. Good old style cinemas with character. Some of the seats could use a freshen up but for the price, it's good value.
Loved it. The young people there were wonderful. Friendly, knowledgeable, definitely outgoing young business people. I'll certainly be returning there. I actually went to see "Cabaret" which was ALSO wonderful.
Great cinema that has retained its 'old school' charm. They have added so many great menu items, so it's definitely a great place to come and enjoy a movie. Their prices are also VERY reasonable and affordable.
Great old theater, the new owners have already made many improvements to the theater. The kids love to go, and tickets are very well priced. Please support The Regent so they can continue to make improvements
Lovely old theatre. The staff are lovely too. Ticket price is great $12. Popcorn, ice cream and wine are all very reasonably priced. Theatre is small but still watching the same movie you'd see elsewhere.
Love this place so much. They have two cinemas. They have amazingly affordable prices. I never spend over $60, which is with tickets, food, and drinks. Now you wouldn't get that at Hoyts now, would you?
Took my 2 & 4 yo to see their first movie at a cinema. It was a fantastic experience in the beautiful historic building. Staff were lovely and super understanding when we made a mess of our popcorn.
The staff in this theatre are absolutely amazing. Not one sour face. All extremely pleasant and couldn't help us enough making our experience very enjoyable. I can highly recommend this theatre.
My son and husband went to a movie tonight and couldn't fault the service. I booked for them online in case it booked out. Reasonably priced, well looked after for a local historic gem.
2022. Amazing time. LOVE this theatre, great atmosphere, brilliant pricing. Takes me back to my childhood. My children & grand daughter LOVE it. Highly recommend xx
So nice to sit in the historic theatre. The atmosphere of past glory and great old fashioned service is a lovely change from all the boring new cinema's. A
Chairs do not accommodate older larger people use to love this theatre but unfortunately because seating so uncomfortable never going there again
Great theatre. Our whole school comes here every year. Picnic in the lovely Richmond Park and then on to the movie. The students love it!
Love the cinema, the best and friendly service! After a great movie we returned to @love.lake.belltent! Loving the Hawkesbury!
I went to the venue to watch a comedy show. Upstairs Venue was nice and had alot of seating and there is a pub downstairs.
Went to see the latest Indiana Jones movie. Staff was friendly and helpful. Enjoyed movie, and handed in a wallet.
Not your typical movie theatre. Great local movie theatre that's dripping in history. The downstairs cinema is
Great movies, great atmosphere at a good price. Been going to the Regent as a local since the mid 60s
Can't beat an old school movie experience! Great location for watching 'Sound of Freedom'!! …
Has a bar/snack service. Also offers live music shows, etc. Great staff and ambience.
staff are really nice and food / tickets are well priced. will defiantly go again.
The staff are great prices are great and manager Brendon always willing to help
I visited this movie house in 2018, February. Maintaining its old ambience
2 Karen’s and their 6 kids sat in the seats we booked, good movies tho
Old world charm! Lovely old building with great movies shown.
Beautiful and quaint cinema, which is a must visit.
Great place for a show, fantastic atmosphere.
