My experience with The Source is amazing and incredible! Juwan and Abdul both amazing professional salesmen and customer service on how to budget and save money. Juwan offered me a Virgin home unlimited internet for only $40 per month and $95 monthly for the bell mobile monthly plan along with the new phone for only 2 years (After 2 years it will drop down to $75 for the monthly mobile plan and the new phone will be mine to keep). Compare to what I used to pay $65 plus tax for Cogeco home internet. Then when I tried to cancel off Cogeco before my technician comes in for Virgin wifi installation. They said they will charge me $150 for termination fee and it’s on promotion. I was so surprised and got overwhelmed and don’t know what to do next. That I realized it wasn’t easy to leave cogeco. So I went back to The Source and explain to one of the salesman Abdul that I had a hard time troubleshooting trying to leave cogeco (while Juwan wasn’t in on that day) and I thought I couldn’t take virgin home wifi because I’m stuck with cogeco until the promotion is done. However Abdul explain to me that he had experienced with cogeco before that they always try to trick you for leaving them and they want you to stay with them. So what Abdul did is that he went to call and explain to cogeco on my behalf and took the guts to argued with them for not have them charge me an arm and a leg for termination fee especially I’m not a satisfied customer. He removed the promotion discounted rate off from the regular billing rate in order to cancel it with no charge for termination. I was so relief and happy for what Abdul did for me when he helped me fight off with cogeco. Especially I’m not a good fighter or else I’ll be stuck with cogeco forever lol! Cogeco isn’t easy to deal with them especially when you try to leave them lol! After that when my technician from Virgin came into my apt and installed my wifi. I tried it out as my very first time with Virgin. It actually works and it’s a lot more better than cogeco! And it’s fast too! I love it like there’s no tomorrow! I never used Virgin home wifi before until now and I don’t see there’s any issues. Plus I can budget and save money compare to what I used to pay before lol! I’m enjoying my new phone and home internet. Thank you guys so much you’re the best!

I bought a pair of apple air pods they gave me no context on the return/exchange policy and no apple care. When I received the air pods I had them for 2 days and they were already experiencing technical problems. So I called them and asked to speak to the manager which they said was in a meeting but to bring in the air pods and have the manager take a look at them and approve them for a refund or exchange. When I got to the store they wouldn’t even let me speak to the manager as he was “busy” and just said they don’t do refunds or exchanges for any apple products including those out of the box. They told me to contact apple as apple didn’t allow them to give refunds or exchanges and that had to be done through them. How was I supposed to know the air pods I bought had a defect? They were not informative at all and had very poor communication. I called them back 3 times after and no one responded. When I called apple and spoke to them at customer service they looked into there policy which stated 30 day return or exchange for most products was permitted if the item had a technical issue. Anyways I still haven’t heard back from them but if you decide to buy any apple products from them just know they will not give you any return or exchange even if they have a defect so I would just stay away from buying any apple products from them and just buy it from the apple store.

What an incompetent logistics/shipping department this company has. I ordered an item online and to be picked up in store but for some reason, according to my tracking, my package ends up all the way in St Catharines, Ontario instead of the Jackson Square location in downtown Hamilton. This is my first evidence of incompetency from the Source. Then I got an email saying my package is all set for pickup at the Jackson Square location only to be told there was no transaction that took place hence why my order was not in the said store. I still have the record of transaction on one of my credit cards that I DID pay for my goods, and so the Source still owes me MY product or my money back. Anyone who reads this, do yourself a favour and avoid buying online through the inadequate shipping and logistics service of this company. Edit: It has been 5 days now since my order notice and I have yet to get a full refund of $70 on my credit card. Like i said dont buy anything online with this company cuz you wont get your product OR money back. What a scam of a company.

For starters I came into the store looking for a Telus provider. I was about to leave when the amazing Abdul approached to help. He looked at the promotion from Telus I was interested in and explained how it worked. Abdul went above and beyond to help explain and actually help me find a better phone plan. He found a plan that suited me and my husband so perfectly. Then even gave us a better deal for Internet, it was fantastic! I left the store extremely happy and satisfied. Throughout the process of registering things, Juwan and Gurdev were so polite and funny. They kept the atmosphere of the place so light and fun. They were both also very professional and helpful when other customers came through. You have a tremendously amazing set of staff with these three: Abdul, Juwan, and Gurdev. I would come to this store everyday, any time with staff as exemplary as these members!

Gurdev made a regular purchasing experience memorable. When I first came into the store, both clerks were engaged — one with an in-person customer, the other (Gurdev) on the phone possibly with his supervisor, talking about a customer. I decided to run another errand, then come back. When I returned, Gurdev addressed me and apologized for not being available at the time when I was previously at the store. He provided immediate service concerning my request, and as I was questioning something in passing related to my purchase, he went a step further, looking that up in the moment on the Internet, then — without my asking — writing the information out on my receipt. Gurdev was attentive to say the least, and found ways to both anticipate my needs and meet them. Thank you for the super service!

Ok, this place is AMAZING including the pp that work there !!!! GURDEV you were great. I greatly appreciate all that you did for us as a family .The salesmanship is superb. If you need anything electronic Gurudev is your guy. He is the most honest and helpful sales person I have encountered in a long time!! We went in to get new cell phone with BELL, he was able to get the best iPhone package and Samsung deal. WE WALKED OUT WITH A FREE TOP OF THE LINE 55" QLED TV....YES , FREE. He really worked the deals they have in store, We ended up with $1800:in store credit. If you are going for a cell phone. DONT GO TO BELL, YOU GET NOTHING OFFERED.. I have been to the Source to assist me with activating new sim cards after having both my husband's and my cellphone stolen. I am far from tech savvy but Shaquille (sorry if I misspelled your name) was not only extremely helpful in that regard but also empathetic to our situation and went above and beyond to help us out as if we were his number one client! It was a great feeling to know that he actually cared about us and what we were going through...during these tough Covid times the customer service I experienced with Shaquille was a breath of fresh air and I recommend The Source particularly the Jackson Square location to be the place for all of my tech needs from now on. Absolutely terrible customer service. I purchased a battery there for my watch which only worked for an hour. I went back for an exchange (not a refund) and the women told me there "was nothing that could be done". She was only interested in getting me out of the store so she could get back to selling things as the store was busy. I called customer service and was told they have a battery tester in store to decide if the product is defective. So not only did the women lie, or lack the knowledge of her own company's exchange policy she was very rude and dismissive. Would not recommend buying anything from that store. Rude employees and bad products.

Employee looked at my phone and declared the charging port was loose from wear and tear. I'd only has it 8 months & it should have been covered for a year. Manager comes and declares such wear my fault and refused to fix. Said I should have taken extra coverage. But they were both wrong. No damage, just lint that once cleared the phone worked fine. But that was on my 4th repair quote! I was going to repair shops because THEY wrongly declared the problem and further blamed it on me. They refuse to stand behind their products, preferring to lie and declare conclusions when they obviously don't have a clue. That is deceptive and potentially costly.

Pretty sure I just walked out with the best deal ever!!! Thank you Nima I’m still in awe of the amazing service I got at this location!!! I walked in looking for a PS5 and walked out with an upgraded phone, a wayyy cheaper phone plan and INCREDIBLE savings on the PS5!! Nima is hands down the best for all the money he saved me! I would have saved on my internet as well had Bell service worked in my area, but the Source team really tried!! They were patient and even let me come back to finish the process because I didn’t have enough time on my lunch break. Such good guys, only going to this location from now on!

These guys Juwan and Marshall were so friendly and happy to help. I went there to buy a wifi dongle for my laptop. They helped me so much with choosing which item I should be picking in terms of pricing and performance. Marshal even tried to install the driver on my Linux operating system which I'm so grateful for. I eventually found myself buying a cellphone from them believe it or not :)) and I don't regret it at all :)) (I needed one but the deals and stuff were really good ) The personalities were great. I'm gonna go ask them for help with any issues and I'm pretty sure they would help no question asked:)

I have to revisit my prior review where I mentioned poor customer service and high prices. I stand by my opinion of higher prices, (the item I needed was half the price at a well known online retailer - though you don't have to wait to have it shipped to you), but wow what a difference in customer service! I visited a couple of weeks ago looking for an adapter and the staff member who assisted me was wonderful and went out of her way to assist me and had an excellent knowledge of the item. The store is clean and well laid out and all the staff were smiling and helpful. Well done!!

Some of the staff didn't seem to knowledgeable about some of the products. I went to purchase a printer and had some questions before making my decision. To answer my questions the sales staff read the boxes to see if the answer was there, then referred to the internet. In the end I ended up with a printer I had to sign up for with a credit card for services I did not care for. In the end not to pleased with the printer. They did have some great deals, but for next time I will know what I want and do my own research on the product before going.

As I am starting my PhD at McMaster University, I just moved in to Hamilton, and The Source store (in Jackson Square) was the first electronic shop I visited in the town. There were some unfortunate issues with wireless earphones (won't mention the product name and its make here) I bought for myself and my gf but luckily Shaq, Marshall, and Juwan helped me greatly at their end. I had to visit there several times to exchange the products and to get info on 'what to do next' etc. They were very knowledgeable, professional, and kind. "Thanks guys"

Stopped in to the store today to return a purchase. Walked up to the staff at the cash where there were four team members stationed. There was one other customer being served. I asked if I could do the return and was told no they were not accepting returns due to the busy black Friday sale. That makes sense in principle but there were literally 3 available staff and it would have taken 2 seconds. I am sure the front line staff we're doing what they were told but still now I have to go back another time. Not very customer focused.

I went into Tge Source at Jackson Square to ask a question about our printer at home. I was greeted by Prayus. A vey nice sales rep. I proceeded to tell Prayus I needed to find somewhere to print some items off for my wife. He right away said let me help. And he definitely did. He was very courteous and friendly and professional. We talked about things in store and I was on my way. I will definitely give this store a ten out of ten. And I won’t hesitate to go back and make purchases. Thank you Prayus.

My beats headphones i bought in 2018 were able to be replaced due to me purchasing a 3 year warranty. I went into The Source after a long day at work. I had The Spurce associate Marshall help me with getting a new pair and syncing them to my phone. I REALLY appreciated it! He was very helpful and kind. Im 30 and do not follow the technology world and had no idea how to hook the headphones up to my phone. Thank you to Marshall and The Source for being so efficient and have such helpful staff!

Recently lost my phone. Went to the Jackson Square store to see if they had any cheap throw away phones for the time being. Abdul took the time to explain my options, and I ended up getting a new phone very inexpensively without having to spend money upfront. A few days later I had issues with getting the Gmail from my old phone onto the new phone, the store manager helped me recovery my old email and one of the staff Prayas helped recover my Facebook. I only go in here when I absolutely have to. Staff are all over you the whole time you're in there and it feels awkward to browse. They must work on commission because I always feel like they're breathing down my neck or trying to up-sell me. I wish there was another electronics store in downtown Hamilton and tend to order online to avoid the salespeople in this place. This seems to be the same in every location of The Source I've been in. Gross.

Seriously... some of the store staff here are lazy/passive, some are elitist, and some can barely speak English. However, all of them are incompetent and unknowledgeable on tech (hence the high rate of returns and customer dissatisfaction). Moreover, the products from this store are over-priced, and are of low-quality, and many are not factory sealed (ie. have been previously opened and passed off as "new"). Shop here at your own risk.

This is such a common annoying occurrence at any Source store which is a shame because it's a good company, but if I'm in to pick up a specific item, stop trying to haggle me to change my phone company or ask information about it. If I wanted to do anything with my mobile provider I'd ask! Don't chase or push me for it! Ruined experience for it especially with the associate taking offense to my request and giving attitude after that!

I went in there to purchase headphones and while checking out I was asked a million questions regarding how much I pay for internet and cable. I was offered a plan through Roger's which I declined repeatedly. I was than asked what my reasons were for declining. I shouldn't have to explain myself when all I want to do is buy headphones and leave! Employees need to be less pushy with their sales because I wont be going back.

I have been in the store two times to buy cables. Both, the sellers did not give the useful information about my order. Instead, they offered me home internet and cell phone plans all the time. Moreover, they asked everytime how much money I paid for home internet and cell phone plans in order to compare them with the plans sold by the store. I live nearby but, unfortunately, they lost a costumer!

All custome representatives are professionaly and they guide us on personal level. My representative name was “Vatsal” and he did his job great. Everytime I purchased something here I have never been disappointed. The customer service is incomparable to other stores. The deals are amazing as well as their staff professionalism. My phone service setup took longer then expected because of my mistake. I didn't notice my id was expired and the staff were so helpful and even stayed after hours to make sure everything was taken care of.

Just went in looking to reserve a copy of a ps4 game Kingdom Hearts 3, when tried to reserve was told no at 2:16 pm Thursday. Was told they will have a copy. Will attempt to go in at 930am to pick up game when store opens. If copy is not available at 930am I will be filing a complaint with management demanding immediate action towards service personnel who provided me with information.

I had some trouble getting into my fitbit account, I went back to the store and Shaq was kind enough to take the time to help reset the password with me and show me how to connect a new device. I was in the Hamilton store this mornng, July 15, and the store was spotless. What impressed me the most though, was how helpful and friendly the young man, Marshall, who waited on me was. He went out of his way to make sure I had what I needed, and made sure I did not have to wait very long. He is an asset to the store, and they are lucky to have him.

Came into the source a few months ago and got a phone after talking to one of the workers Gurdev. He listened to all my requests and gave me a phone that fit all my needs. Every time I come back into the store he always finds a solution for any tech issues and is why I always choose to go to this Source instead of the one that is closer to me.

Don't get any of their phone plan "deals" I was told I'd be getting a gift card as a thanks for switching over only to find out AFTER my plan had been switched that it was actually to cover a service charge that wasn't mentioned I'm sure their selection and everything else is great but don't buy in to their sales tactics it's probably a scam

I notice a lot of negative reviews for this place but for myself, personally, I have encountered really friendly approachable and knowledgeable employees who know their stuff. Wont rate 5 stars because I keep having to replace my headphones every 6-8 months but I'm not sure if that's the stores fault or the headphone company's fault..?

Came in the store to get help with new laptop or tablet. Shaq was extremely helpful, and helped me choose the right product. He also helped choose the right accessories and showed me how to connect them. He was fantastic, and I would definitely recommend this store. The customer service was excellent. 10/10! The sales rep in Jackson Square seemed to think he knew more than LG. LG told me to go to my store and return my phone to the company. I did and your person insisted there was nothing wrong with my phone. I left in tears...I know I am old but I don't need to be told I am wrong. I felt embarassed and foolish.

Looking for vinyl sheeting. Fair selection Good prices for the sheeting. Contractors very expensive, was quoted the price close to $900.00 to do a 5 x 5 ( 25 sq. ft. ) bathroom, with just laying it over old tiles. Didn't get it done, may go with peel and stick unfortunately. Otherwise, they have good stuff.

This is now twice they have not had simple electronics that I need to pick up. Dont even bother with this place if you dont need something for a phone or console. Walmart or best buy would be a better choice for any computer accessories

Smaller store, limited selection. But wish to say that the staff members themselves are pleasant. If can't find an item, they see if in stock at another location and also offer to see if possible to have ordered
