Disgraceful Hotel unfortunately. Booked a room for 2 adults (a couple), they checked us in a twin room with separate beds. Went to reception and they initially helpfully checked us in a different room, I explained we needed 1 double bed. To my surprise the new room was still a twin room with separate beds. I went to reception again abd they said there was nothing they could do. WHAT?? There were no double bed rooms available and they apparently were overbooked by 1 in their system. I was told we had to stick with the 2 beds. I said we might as well get back the key to our previous room as we hadn't moved our stuff to the new room yet, they said no, that it was hard to check us back into that other room once we checked into a new one. (That's odd because it's exectly what they did previously.) This is supposed to be a budget hotel but the price wasn't budget at all. Shocking service and rooms. The twin room is supposed to accommodate 2 but only had 1 big towel. It had 2 mugs but only 1 spoon and the toilet door doest close. There isn't even a soap bar or ANY toiletries. I asked for a toothbrush/bathroom kit at reception and they didn't have anything. Will never return unless desperate.

Stayed here in the summer of 2018, The rooms are clean though I did have some rather shocking discovery of a large pile of hair in the bed sheets bag. The hotel staff immediately resolved that one. The temperature in the rooms was on another level, no air con meant the place was unbearable. We where supplied fans but they did little to cool the place off, simply put it was like trying to sleep in an oven. The view was also a bit grim, Birmingham is a big city and come with a lot of homeless drinking and doing drugs, they seem to prefer the small green park outside the hotel reception, we had no problems with them but was a bit too close for comfort. Parking was at NCP around corner at a resident discount rate of £10 a day. The staff where extremely friendly and helpful here though and where very apologetic about the temps in the room. We stayed on the 1st floor after being moved down from the 3rd, it was hotter the higher you went (1st floor was bad), but it's.the staff that mainly made me give this place a 3 star rating. Also the Bull ring and New St shops are a 2 minute walk away from the hotel, perfect place.to base yourself for a bit of serious shopping. in the winter months the place would proba my be great, but I will never go back again in the summertime

The room was nice but on the small side. No bathroom mat for the floor or drain on the floor, so water that escaped the shower (no protection between the shower and bathroom floor) just sat there. This was room 317. Staff were friendly and helpful, although one forgot to bring up an ironing board as requested. Not the end of the world, but I had to go back down to take it up myself despite having offered to do so before. Brilliant location in that it's central, although the area is inundated with slightly suspicious crowds (as well as those asking for money or a lighter/cigarette). The website informs you of subsidised parking (£10 a day if you go to the Travelodge reception) in the nearby NCP car park: of which there are two. The address given by the website sends you to the wrong car park. Ended up having to pay £61 for 3 days' parking instead of £30, as it transpired the Travelodge only covers that one specific car park. Please correct this on the website, Travelodge! There are more competitive rates in town even after the discounted rate, either way. Very frustrating that this made it a doubly bad loss.

We arrived at this certain travel lodge at 6pm we were greeted by a very grumpy, none bothered, arrogant male receptionist. You excpect to be made wellcome when visiting a 'Hotel' on this occasion it was not the case! We walked to our room where the halls smelt like cat urine/litter! We did hope that the room would be more welcoming so that we could shut the door and forget about the outside, again this was not the case, the carpet felt sticky and rough. We had X5 hangers underneath a shelf with a dusty towel on top of it. The cups were dirty and we had plastic cups to drink water out of they were also dirty so I threw them in the bin! Myself and my partner did not then feel confident about how clean the bed would be, it was thankfully not as bad as we had been excepting. Poor nights sleep due to noise coming from Tesco back delivery entrance right outside our window. The only positive was it was near the Bullring which was the main reason for our stay hence the 1 star! £85.00 for half a room for one single night was appalling, utterly disappointed in the whole excperiance, will not be returning!

Most devastating and disappointing stay!!! I paid £140 for one night in the so called 'Executive Room'; there was nothing Executive about it!!! The room was cold, when i asked for an extra blanket or heater they looked at me as if I was crazy; stating they dont have these facilities. The Bathroom was a wet room; I've seen nicer ones in a hospital. The room was so cold myself and my sister slept in our clothes coat included. Couldn't wait to check out the next morning, didnt bath we waited until we checked into our hotel that we had originally booked. Sorry but this hotel is over priced, the breakfast that's on offer is not of value £8.99 for a carton of cereal from a variety pack no thanks!!! I wish I could get a refund I will NEVER STAY IN TRAVELODGE AGAIN!! and please dont say it... as you DO NOT GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR HERE!! Only good thing about this place is the location... 100%great location

Whilst the room itself was fine - very clean, fresh, neat - I wouldn't recommend staying here if you like your sleep. The racket from people running along the corridors, slamming doors, stamping on their floor/my ceiling was appalling. My two colleagues on different floors had the same experience. No sleep for anyone. No staff around to speak with either. I have tried various ways to get in touch with Travelodge to discuss this - a, err... "Chat-Bot" that couldn't understand even the most basic questions, the website, contact pages, phone, post. No response at all. The only response I have received was a short answer to a TripAdvisor review I placed about this booking, saying "please go on Twitter or Facebook"! Very disappointing. This was a business event; I book hotels for many of my colleagues - it is part of my job - but I shall NOT be using Travelodge again.

The room was pretty small, but certainly big enough to move around in. The bathroom was also small, but big enough to fit the essentials in and one person at a time. The room was cold, even with the electric heater on full all the time. Decor was fine, standard Travelodge fixtures and fittings. No surprises. The window was old fashioned and far too thin for a city centre location. There was constant noise, especially early hours of morning with bin lorries etc. Normally a heavy sleeper, I simply didn't sleep well at all. We stayed in 119, overlooking the bin yards of some shops and an alleyway mostly populated by groups of hooded young men who appeared to be dealing drugs or scouting potential victims for a mugging/bag snatch. Our stay was far from illustrious, but there are worse places to stay. It's location in terms of all that you need or want from Birmingham city centre is frankly excellent.

We stayed at this travel lodge on monday night and it was not good. When we got back from dinner our room stank of raw sewage and the smell got worse through the night. The following morning we went to tell reception (we didnt see anyone in the evening to speak to) and was told by the receptionist that it could be the sink or the shower as they drains dont get cleaned often! The room stank and so we left early for our train so we didnt have to spent time in the room. Due to the smell we were unable to use the bathroom. The receptionist said he would need to call somone to come look at it! No real apology what so ever. I know it was a cheap room so wasnt expecting much but to smell sewage and unable to use the bathroom is another level! Really disappointed with travel lodge, not only their standard but also there staff/customer service.

the room came as advertised it was clean, wifi worked well, the tv conveniently placed above the bed and an ok size (as pictured) tea and coffee making facilities but there were unfortunately a few downsides. the bathroom stunk and eventually the bedroom started to smell too, it is incredibly noisy when trying to sleep in was able to hear every pin drop from the hallway, outside etc making it very difficult to try and sleep. the rooms radiator as pictured heated up the room nicely however it came on and off and it pleased which was annoying. the staff were very nice and helpful, the location in convient and it costs almost half the price of other budget hotel nearby i would however probably opt to pay more for another budget hotel next time.

Staff are amazing. Really helpful and very kind. Always their for your enquires and anything that troubles you. From the outside, Hotel looks nice and clean but the area is pretty rough and can be a rowdy place at night, even during the day, with the druggies and drunk people walking around, making it a little unsafe if you are not familiar or alone. However, one major benefit of staying at this Travelodge is that Bullring and all major fast food places are literally 2min walk from the hotel. Depending on the room you stay in, your stay can either be good or bad. The two days I was at the Hotel, it was a good experience. There were a few challenges but you have to manage. Overall, not a bad place to live for a few days.

  • Jillian O’Connor

I booked this hotel as it looked like it had been renovated since my last stay (business travel) do not let the photos foul you! Where do I begin, the room was discussing, I had to buy detol wipes and zoflora spray. The extractor is broken so the room was damp smelling. Carpet was covered in stains and hadn’t been hoovered properly. The only thing required of a travelodge is for it to be clean! I understand what I am paying for. I will not be back.

Safety
Outside of the hotel isn’t great either, lots of bus stops and scaffolding. If you aren’t familiar with Birmingham this place isn’t for you if you are alone.

  • Christine B

A mainly terrible night's sleep due to the lack of Aircon and a window that only opens a teeny tiny way - not enough to let any air in, but plenty enough to let the continuous noise from the street below. The window opened above a busy street of what seemed like bus stops or a taxi rank, so the noise of traffic and of people shouting went on all night. Breakfast 'in a box' was terrible Worst was that I paid a small fortune to park in the recommended local NCP carpark. I felt completely unsafe arriving there late at night and returned to find some thing had put a rock through my car windscreen Avoid at all costs!!

As a nurse that I am ,this is the 1st time I've found comfort since I came to the UK. The headache that I had vanished after checking in and having a warm shower. The therapeutic atmosphere of my room exceeded my expectations. Extremely clean . Very caring, patient and excellent staff at reception. Exactly what I needed after a disappointing stay last night in a Northampton lodge. I would rather commute via train from Birmingham to Northampton for the 3 days that I'm here for work related training. The bonus is the low price which is too good to be true. I'm grateful & I can't wait to come back for another peaceful time in September for my birthday .

  • Paul Grosvenor

Stayed for a Sunday night during September. Location is close to Moor Street station which is handy but there was lots of homeless people begging close to the entrance. Checked in and went up to my room. Found the shower soap cover not clipped up and now towels. Had to go reception for towels. The floor construction is poor and I could hear people clearly walking up and down in the room above. Creaky floor. Not good when it's at 1am Order a breakfast box for the morning. Box was ok but I was expecting it to be delivered to outside the room. Nobody said it had to be collected from reception in the morning. Another trip to reception.

  • Andrej Zacharenkov

The hotel was nice and located very centrally with decent walking times to all the sightseeing places and restaurants/bars. The room was spacious, with nice clean bathroom, although it had bit of chemical cleaners smell that was stronger because of warm weather. The staff was very friendly and greeted with a smile. There's a medium sized tesco right under the hotel. A downside i guess would be the little park area next to hotel is not being cleaned and had quite a bit of garbage laying around. Which makes the hotel look not so well. But despite that i had a good time and the bed was very comfy so the sleep was great!

  • Matty A

Disappointed.... Having stayed in many many Travelodges all over the country, we are very used to what to expect... Basic accommodation, but clean and well serviced, with very friendly staff. Sadly this one had a number of issues.. 1. Room smelled of cigarettes... Not The staff's fault, just the fault of the previous ignorant scummy guests. But the room should have been freshened better.. 2. Only one bath towel and one hand towel between 2 people.... Not good.. 3. Bed sheet was stained, clean, but stained. Although it's a budget hotel, I've come to expect better than this....shame.

  • Abbie

Very cheap, very central, but very basic. Only gave us one towel, but gave another when asked at desk. There's a little fan, which helped a bit (but not totally effective) as it was baking hot. Sid works at the counter and advised us to book online rather than at the counter to save lots of money - so thank you Sid! Lovely man, and very welcoming. For the price it was great. Had to press 'input' and go from HMDI to Arielle every time we turned on the TV because otherwise we couldn't watch it.

I just wanted to write and say how impressed I was with the service at this Travelodge (Birmingham Moor Street)! My friend and I arrived needing accommodation fairly urgently and the team did everything they could to ensure we had what we needed and felt safe and comfortable. Special thanks to Dawn who truly went above and beyond and extended thanks to every member of staff who each delivered excellent hospitality in their own way. Thank you so much for having me, I’m truly grateful! Emily :)

Very well located for the city centre, though the immediate area is pretty rough (had to literally step over homeless people to get to the front door coming back in the evenings). The room at first entry seemed decent but actually were pretty dirty throughout (bathroom surfaces, carpets and bedding were stained and not fully cleaned and it was extraordinarily dusty. The TV was very small and the remote didn't work. 30 minutes free WiFi is comically bad in 2023.

Great spot for the city centre and Moor Street Station. Rooms are clean and tidy and warm Tesco next door if you need it as there is no bar restaurant here Showers are really strong and the curtain doesn't stay inside the tray so you have to be careful to not flood the floor Wish the TVs had a HDMI port to connect a phone or laptop so you could stream or cast. In this day and age you would expect more than Freeview

Noisy. Building works start EARLY outside hotel (5:30am today!) and windows not very sound proof. Rooms ok but not cleaned during your stay. Was told that it would cleaned if I stayed longer than TWO weeks!!! Never had a decent night’s sleep and would never return. Much better options for similar or better price available. Front door of hotel usually surrounded by local drunks and druggies, so not the most comfortable of experiences returning to hotel after dark.

Lovely surprise. Staff very welcoming. No fuss check-in. Super clean room - basic, but two armchairs, TV. Tea & Coffee supplied. 3rd floor so little to zero street noise. Neat & tidy toilet & shower. They have on prem vending machine & will supply a packaged breakfast if required, but this hotel is above a well stocked Tesco Metro for your meal deals & snacks. Good price and exceeded my expectations.

The problem with this place is that it's on a busy road and the rooms aren't sound proofed well enough to block out the noise from the buses and the guys with the loud stereos cruising late at night. The pillows were also very hard and I didn't sleep well at all. Plus the bathroom really stinks (room 215). I was due to stay for two more nights this month for work but have cancelled them and will happily play more somewhere else.

Travel lodge itself was as expected. Staff were helpful room was as standard. Unfortunately the area it is in is rough to say the least lots of homeless it's noisy and doesn't feel safe. It is in the heart of Birmingham so you won't need to go far to get to some action but it's definitely only somewhere you want to spend a night. I was there for a week on business and left before the last night as enough was enough! It's a difficult one to be fair as the review of the hotel on its own would be 4/5 star, let down by its location.

  • Sam Littlewood

A modern Travelodge in a good location, convenient Tesco right next to the hotel. No bar but not an issue as you’re right in the city centre. Also close to the station. We had an issue with the shower draining slow and it overflowed when the water was on full pressure and we were only provided with one towel when the room was booked for two people - shouldn’t really have to go to the effort of going down to reception to ask for another one. The walls in the room were very dusty which is another thing that could be easily fixed.

  • Sara Oxo

Clean and tidy twin room, we were able to drop our bags at reception and check in early but not bring our bags up, so saved valuable shopping time. The view isn't great, but for the price its a nice spot. There is a tesco express next door, so handy for any extra supplies needed. This is super handy of you plan on coming to Birmingham New Street and shopping like we did. Overall a nice clean cheap central city location.

Many issues: 1) Guests smoking cannabis in rooms - stunk out entire landing. 2) Noisy guests - phoned reception THREE times, no reply on any occasion. 3) Bathroom smelt bad on arrival - had to air it whilst out. 4) Paid for WiFi - it didn’t work. 5) Blood stained linen on the bed. Raised complaint - got a 25% refund - apparently it’s worth 75% of what I was charged for sleepless nights in blood stained sheets. Terrible stay topped off by even worse aftercare/ customer service. It’s put me off of using Travelodge in future.

  • Jake O

Great location and service for the price. Room on the 1st floor is on the small side but again fine for a budget hotel. Poor view with a window overlooking a roof/wall and adjacent to the corridor. Lots of reasons to never open the curtains! Shower had a bit of a blockage, meaning a flooded floor by the end of a shower! Staff were good, though they seemed a bit thin on the ground for a weekend. Probably due to Jan being a quiet month. Probably wouldn't pick this place again, though there's nothing wrong with it either.

  • Nicole Bell

If I could give it less that one star I would. Absolutely shocking. When we walked into our first room the smell of weed was overwhelming. When we asked to be moved the receptionist seemed unsurprised. Second room was ok. However we couldn't sleep because neighbouring rooms were shouting and being generally irritating at 4 in the morning. Room was roasting so opened the window to be greeted by the smell of weed yet again. You should be ashamed of the state of this hotel. The hallways even smelled like weed. Disgusted

  • Roman Filipowicz

Excellent location but basic hotel in Birmingham city centre. Brilliantly located for New Street and the Bullring and not far from the likes of The Mailbox etc. Friendly staff, comfortable bed and reasonable room. We had an issue with our shower not draining which meant our bathroom floor got very wet. This did get sorted but when we requested towels replaced only one was, which wasn't ideal. Also very expensive for what it is, though presumably this was due to the Commonwealth Games being held in the city.

  • Linda Oldfield

Stayed a couple of nights to spend a day in the city with family that we met off the train. Exceptionally efficient and welcoming staff on arrival and booked in very quickly. We love the cityscape views from the windows on the higher floor, so the young man on reception/check in called Christopher put us on the 6th floor and we loved it. Christopher needs special mention and deserves recognition from travelodge for his good work.

As a positive the staff were the best part of my stay— lovely and accommodating where possible, so thank you! The rooms however had a strong damp odour, the carpets had definitely not been vacuumed and there were hairs left in the shower. The remote had gunk all over it so I gave it a clean and then the tv didn’t work for the most part either, there was only signal for 2 channels. Ok for one night for a budget stay but I was in a hurry to leave and won’t be returning anytime soon!

  • Rachel M

The beds are comfortable and the staff are helpful. However for the price they should have free WiFi and it is right next to a park where homeless people live so there are always a number of strange people hanging around the entrance (which makes it a bit uncomfortable at times). There are probably nicer places to stay in Birmingham. The higher floors are also ridiculously hot - I think they have heating on 24/7 in all the rooms (occupied or not) and heat rises!

  • Samantha Samantha

The service here is fine, I never have the Travelodge breakfast as it's all stuff you can get cheaper at the Tesco next door. Room is clean and bed is comfy, electric heaters provided in room and shower rooms feel clean and comfortable with a nice size shelf for your toiletries. Main let down is the location as the route from the car park and outside the hotel feels like a forgotten run down part of the city centre which might make you feel a little vulnerable.

  • Callan Champ

Great service from all staff which is the most positive thing. Hallways and room smelt strongly of wacky baccy. Bed was unusually soft. Very hot room. Tiniest TV I think I've ever seen in a hotel. USB chargers by the bed, but no actual plugs in reaching distance. Wasn't even value for money compared to other hotels. I wouldn't choose to stay in this hotel again, however if it was only one night I'd make do.

The staff were excellent and helped me out with everything I needed. The travelodge was very well located in the city centre, only a few minutes walk from all the shopping and restaurants. The hotel was clean and a perfectly decent place to stay in regards to the actual room itself. However there is a lawn next to it where a lot of homeless people who were often very high/drunk/out of it congregated at all hours of the day and night. I didn''t feel safe to leave the hotel by myself, I've never felt like that before and I've visited many cities across the country. Don't take kids there, and I would never go back.

  • Clare Prestidge

The room is OK but the whole of the 1st floor corridor absolutely stinks of urine. As in eye wateringly strong. We mentioned it to reception and we're told because so many homeless people wee on the wall outside the smell gets upstairs... The coridoor smells like the entire homeless population of the west Midlands had a tinkle directly on it.

Good location, in that is within walking distance from both new street and Moore Street station and is bang in the middle of the city centre (next to the bull ring) and with good amenities, with supermarkets, bus stops and restaurants close by. Having said that as you would expect from a budget hotel there's nothing to it, room and beds where clean but it extremely hot with no AC. Very noisy due to its location.

  • Ged de Meyer

Clean, basic hotel with all the essentials for a short stay. Great location in the heart of Birmingham. It’s quite close to lots of shops and restaurants and minutes away from Birmingham Moor Street railway station. There’s a small park outside it and at night and early mornings vagrants in the area gather here and they can be quite loud so may disrupt sleep but other than that, I’ve had no issues staying here.

  • Zoe Loake

Staff friendly, located near to all attractions ,unfortunately we paid for a super room which had a leaky toilet every time it was flushed,so we got moved to a smaller room. Staff are great, rooms are maintained and clean. Just a rough area. My friend's car was broken into at the NPC carpark which is stupidly expensive and there are no other options. Dodgy alleyway next to the hotel which is a blatant crime epicentre (watch for five mins and you get the picture). For a night out it's great. For business users and lone females I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

  • bee free

Felt rather uncomfortable with this hotel. Location was fine. However there is many homeless people hanging around outside and even in the reception area also. They may be harmless but I was not too comfortable with this. The receptionist when I checked in was nothing more than a very nosy Indian man. With his very personal 20 questions into my business! Would not recommend this hotel.

Convenient position for grand central station, primark or bull ring. Very clean room everything as expected, wonderful freindly welcoming staff very helpful and provided anything we asked for nothing was too much trouble. Slept with window open on 1st night so not too noisy, not the best view by day but gorgeous at night, Has a Church right opposite &Tesco Express next door

This was my second time staying at Travelodge. Once more, you get a very good service and room for a very affordable price. In this location, the room vas very neat and clean, already warm when I got in. Also, very important, I didn't hear any noise from the neighbouring. The staff was nice and very polite. Simply perfect! I just became a huge fan of Travelodge.

Dawn was very helpful in checking us in early as we had a lot of luggage and was early for our check-in. Room is very spacious. Windows could do with a clean!! Overall very good experience

Staff were polite and friendly, room was clean and tidy. Only note is no option for a Hot Breakfast, the package of cereal is only available, however this is easily resolved thanks to the Tesco's situated underneath the hotel. Nevertheless, a decent and convenient hotel to stay in

Very friendly staff. Excellent and convenient location for shops, food, bars and transport. Tesco express next door. By moor st station so close to everything but far enough away from night-time revellers and their noise. Rooms clean and functional. Typical travellodge layout. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Cheap and functional, highly recommend

I book in here at times to get away from mouldy flat. It's comfortable, spacious, great.

Our big room was clean and quiet but had little furniture. No drawers for clothes, only a small hanger for jackets, etc. There's a Tesco Extra right underneath the hotel but we went to local Wetherspoons ( The Square Peg) for breakfast. Reception staff were very friendly and it's just a few minutes from the train station. We'd happily come back here.

  • Aiza Ali

I had a wonderful experience at Travelodge! The hotel rooms and facilities were clean and perfect. Usman Ali was great at accommodating, professional and very respectful. He made us feel comfortable and due to his great hospitality, the stay at Travelodge was excellent.

Basic, but clean - reception staff friendly and helpful. The location is perfect; stayed for a couple of nights and walked to Symphony Hall for a concert one night and had a shopping binge the next day. Centrally located, the hotel is within a short walk of everything. Will definitely be returning next time we venture into Brum.

  • The 3 khans

It was bad, apparently they will come after the 6th day to clean the room. And there was no proper information when we checked in. It will be nice to have one of the staff to guide us regarding information of the services.

While this hotel may simply be a reception and bedrooms, the staff were friendly and the rooms very clean. As the Travelodge website stated, the road outside is noisy till late into the night, mainly with buses. However the hotel is centrally located and very well positioned. Would recommend for a short stay.

  • Alison Stafford

the room was ok, the location is dire. Homeless people passed out on the green next to the hotel throughout the day and night. Air smells constantly of weed BUT staff are amazing and the room was clean.

I didn't get any sleep because of the city noise and booming music despite paying more for the business room. Night reception lads are alright and the day staff are polite and friendly. 1 receptionist did lie about breakfast box refunds with business paying customers but her manager soon came to the rescue.

  • Cheryl Bates

Comfortable and clean, ideal for town centre and friendly staff. Surprised that the remote didn't work the TV, but guess the same make would help! Problem solved by staff after a few attempts. Room very warm, even without the heat on and with the window open in mid January?? Not sure how or why, but great.

  • Jayne N17

Very very noisy, both outside and in the hotel. Shouting and screaming all night right outside the room. Rooms comfortable but could hear everything....... certainly not sound proof!!! Sorry, but would not stay here again.

The windows seem very thin, which meant the room was quite cold and noisy. However, the room was clean and the bed comfy. The staff that I encountered on my stay were friendly and approachable.

Whilst located right in the centre the area outside is a bit dicey and noisy. There's no ac in the rooms just an ineffectual fan so it's very uncomfortable in hot weather. The staff were however all very nice and a credit to a very dingy hotel.

Clean and quiet, and reception staffs are very helpful too. As they have no on site parking, they recommended us to park at the NCP car park next to the hotel for a price reduction to £10 for 24 hours. All was good, except the annoying shower curtain that kept sticking to me when it gets wet.

  • Jason Towler

This is an entirely typical Travelodge in a decent city centre location. The staff were really helpful and the rooms are always clean and in a decent condition, but the showers are cramped and every room looks the same! Great for a place to bed down, but not somewhere to stay on a holiday!

  • Lee

Location was perfect - situated not far from train station and very easy to walk to. Room was fresh very clean and relaxing. Staff welcoming and friendly - went that extra mile to help without hesitation. Only problem i felt was thier wasnt a facility to eat/drink and breakfast wasnt given

  • Denon Reed

Hallways smelt like urine, staff were very helpful and nice though. Windows didn't block any sound from outside. Park at the NCP nearby and they give you a discounted ticked to take the cost down from 25 a night parking to 10 a night which is good (and never communited in the email!)

Really weird smells in the hallway, rooms didn't have fresh towels, never cleaned between nights, sheets had holes in them, but hey that's a typical Travelodge. The staff were nice and really helpful and replaced everything I asked for, hence why 3 stars

The employees are very friendly and helpful. the beds and towels very clean but not the carpets Sleeping very bad , a lot of noise on the floors when people are just walking when it rains the water hits the metal window sill and makes a lot of noise we didn't sleep that night

  • Shona Floyd

As always with a Travelodge it is basic but very clean accommodation. Easy to get to from the train station (New Street) & accessible into town. No free Wifi unlike a Premier Inn which needs rectifying. Remember to ask at reception for a hairdryer as they aren't in the rooms.

  • Alan Gardner

What a dump. Asked for a quiet room. Was allocated a room on the first floor over a noisy street next to the lift. Room is dirty and almost no noise control between rooms.

Rooms were very warm. If you left the window open you would be woken by homeless people fighting below. The keys for the room never worked. We had them replaced every time we walked by out of the room Overall it did what I needed. It's clean and the staff were very helpful.

A short walk from Birmingham New Street station and opposite Moor Street Station. Rooms are ok. There is no air conditioning in the rooms but they do provide you with a fan. The beds are really comfortable and for an overnight stay I didn't have that much to complain about

Great location, very central. Service was friendly, but the rooms weren't in the best state, the window would not shut properly so there was a lot of noise throughout the night from outside. Breakfast pack was quite disappointing, but there is a Tesco within the building.

  • Mich

Excellent location, very clean room. However when we arrived the bathroom had not been fully made up and the staff were veey unresponsive so we had to go all the way to the reception and get our own toiletries for the bathroom as the staff had forgotten our room number.

  • Cristina Maria

I stayed here twice and both times I had mold in the bathrooms, dirty shower curtains and flickering lights. I think it's decent if you are in absolute need of a place to stay for one night and for a cheap price. But yeah...that being said I won't be stay here again.

Very hard to find the hotel. Staff are friendly and we’re good at checking us in. Vending machine was expensive and no other dining options available without walking down road to McDonald’s or the square peg. Rooms nice and comfortable but rather small.

  • Sean Scott Griffin

So cheap and cheerful and relatively clean. Overlooks a noisy building site. A lot of vagrants hanging out outside. The place feels more like a cheap prison, only they have to keep the prisoners out.

Good, central location and easy to find. Rooms were clean and tidy. A little noisy at night, but I live in the country where it's very quiet at night, so anyone used to city life probably wouldn't notice anything. I would definitely stay here again.

A little loud, but then that's the cost of the location. Friendly staff, no hassle. Room was clean and bed comfy. Nothing fancy, but if looking for a convenient place to crash in Birmingham for a night for a reasonable price, it's pretty good.

Not a lot to say here really. The room was clean, the check in was simple and quick. What more could I want? The only thing was the guilt trip of being opposite a church, waking up after a big night out made me want to have never drank.
