This place has been a neighborhood staple for decades. The quintessential mom and pop general store. It sports a tidy little meat counter, fresh produce, and most general groceries. It's ideal when you really don't want to spend all day in a giant mega-mart. You might run into some "characters" in here from time to time, but that's just part of the local flavor. ***EDIT*** This place now super sucks. The brothers sold it out to who knows who, and they completely wrecked the place. They managed to take one of the cutest mom and pop groceries in the city, and turn it into the crappiest convenience stores around. Booooooooooo!

If I could give 0 stars I would. I grew up here shopping & the new owners have taken a small town grocery 1 stop shop & killed it. Selling fake jewelry & t shirts to getting rid of everything in site. Can't buy eggs, bread, milk. NOTHING! They say it's do to a remodel but over heard their not bringing groceries back. What a joke! Theyve turned this place into a gas station when there is one literally not even 300ft across the street. Walked in last night to get what BUCKS was know for, bacon, & again, nothing! No coolers, no deli. Such a sad site for the south side.

Their deli selection is really good. Go for the Bucks Cherry ham. They also have farmers cheese which is my new favorite cheese. You can order just a sandwich if you want. It's based on weight and never more than $3 or $4. They must treat employees well because I've never had bad customer service and I've been going there sporadically for 10+ years. The lottery is big here too if you're into that.

Bucks has the best meat counter in town!! Everythings fresh daily,, call ahead and tell the guys what u need and it's ready when u get there! There super nice, the stockers and service counter staff make you feel right at home. The place is a little Dated but w/that again, gives u that hometown feeling!! They also make lunch and dinners in the Deli, that has been a Southside hit for years..

Oh what to say about this place. Been coming here for years for groceries and all that time I never knew they had a hot food section in the back! Some of the best food you will ever eat for breakfast and lunch. And not to mention the 3 ladies in the back that run it and cook the food daily are absolutely amazing. They will put a smile on ur face anytime you come in! Keep it up!

Buck's Super Market is a landmark on the south side. My first visit to the store was over 50 years ago when it was an IGA. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the store is always clean and well stocked. The pricing is a bit higher than large stores but the convenience and laid back feel and friendly atmosphere are worth it. I recommend the experience.

Buck's is Under New Management now still some of the same staff always enjoy having to see what's in the lunch case back in the deli good place for an inexpensive hot meal for lunch that's not fast food all the ladies back in that area or car to prepare the food for the day saw a sign up they were going to start serving dinner from 3 to 10 may have to try it

Ms. Cheryl and Ms. Lori keep me excited about coming back to this store. I am always greeted warmly here, they always remember my preferences, and they infallibly exceed my expectations of customer service. This is where I choose to spend my money. If you get a chance, swing by the deli and say hi to the hard-working friendly folks back there.

Just a small local supermarket. Not much to say about it. Prices aren't low. Typical of small stores. I only go there once in a while because it's nearby. Wish I had better things to say about this place since it's in my neighborhood but I've never been impressed by anything about it and now it's not even locally owned.

Good for convenience sake as I live close by in country club. I’m here almost every day. The store is clean enough, prices are ok. The staff is nice for the most park. The bigger dark haired girl is rude all the time. I walk in an almost hate to ask her to get me a pack of smokes down. But other than that solid store

I went to bucks to get a pumpkin pie and i brought it home to put in the oven and it had mold on it. I don't know if it was from when they had the freezer off or what. but when i went back to take it back they were already close and they are suppose to stay open til 10, but they were close a little bit after 8.

Well since the old owner sold out and the new ones have took an over the meat value is not as good as it used to be it used to be the best place on the Southside to go and get me for cheap and it was very tender meat here lately it has not been in prices is going up like every other store

Great neighborhood store! One stop shopping at it's best. Use your Bucks IGA card & save $ on groceries & gas! There is a butcher on site, slicing up the the freshest- quality meats in town. Biscuits & gravy, bacon, eggs, sausage, pancakes & more..served early weekdays mornings.

I went there for western union an the were very helpful an the service was nice an a great atmosphere when i walked in they greeted me. An ask if they could help me with what i was needing to fi d an the lady at tbe service counter ask how my day was an was a great experience

Lucky lottery outlet. Has every flavor of bang. Great meat selection and kind, friendly staff. Produce is old and groceries are sparse and a bit on the high side but great for when you want to just run in and grab staple items in a pinch at the "corner store".

But supermarket has the best fresh meat counter in the state of Indiana that I know of. They have very friendly helpful staff. And the store is awesomely organized and clean. Not to mention the convenience of its location. And the prices they are great.

While the grocery prices are a bit higher than Walmart, this is a great store. The meat and deli department can't be beat, especially their breakfasts. The staff is friendly and efficient. The store is clean. I'll be back when I'm in town.

Morning staff r so rude always stinks never stocked dirty and just awful I go to it because it’s close to home but I bet I don’t go no more or I’ll go at night definitely gone downhill their food is always stale or spoiled just awful

The meat counter is what keeps me coming back. You can get awesome steaks tenderloins bacon hamburger etc for good price. Love it I don't really buy meat from anywhere else. I make the extra stop for my meat it's well worth it!!

I love the meat from there 95%of the time, but sometimes they let it sit out too long. And it seems like they've gotten rid of the rude women who worked at the fuel checkout, very glad to see more friendly people working there

A little pricey on the groceries, however, their meat section is AMAZING! They have the best fresh meat and the platter bacon out of the meat case is so good!! They have some employees with great customer service skills, too!

It's convenient, with gas pumps right there and close to home. Plus a great butcher, they have great steaks and deli, but higher price on groceries than the larger stores with a limited selection.

They are slow, dont do their job. They need someone who can cook faster and stay deticated to working. They ignored a customer to make their breakfast instead of cooking enough food to serve.

When we walked in i thought it was just like a gas station, but its also a grocery store. The prices are high but they do have a fresh deli where you get ur meat and ir was good pdicef

Great supermarket on Southside. Great deli selection and offer breakfast and lunch at the deli. Employee are always friendly. I believe it's the oldest grocery store on Southside.

The owners are shutting this place down March 1st. Supposedly going to remodel? I've heard otherwise though. I've heard they want to get rid of the present white employees?

Worked there.It has went completely downhill expired food board of health shuts it down at least twice that I know of.The only saving grace is wonderful butcher shop(meat)

This place is really going downhill since they sold it. I got a lot of attitude from the little old lady who works days, the place stinks too, they sell old brown meat.

The whole store smelled funky and I couldn't even make a purchase because it is a $5 minimum to use a card. Are they not aware that we are no longer a cash society?

Selling out everything in order to remodel...Sign on street said 30% off but while I was shopping he changed it to 25% and wouldn't give me the 30%......NOT RIGHT!!

Would've given 5 stars but like everyone else, they can't get the meat they need. When they do have it, it's the best. Their lead butcher, Mike is awesome.

Store had an nasty odor and the male cashier was very rude and impatient to a customer in front of me. I for one will not spend my money in that store.

Absolutely love the tenderloins. The breading is very flavorful and the pork is a little thicker than other tenderloins but I like it. Very tender.

Every thing I have but there has been spoiled or expired cuz it's not being refrigerated correctly so no I would not go and waste my money
