Ok…… I feel bad writing this review because to be fair, I didn’t let my server know I didn’t enjoy my food and therefore there was no chance for them to make it right. I hate being the person who complains about my food, especially that evening because I felt under-dressed for the atmosphere and feared they would think I was trying to pull a fast one and get a free meal or something lol. The hostess treated me kind of coldly when I walked in as well, so I already felt a bit out of place and uncomfortable. But… I have to let people know that the ravioli I got here at Tulio was possibly one of the worst tasting meals I’ve ever been served at a restaurant… It was SO shockingly bland and flavorless. I don’t even think they so much as salted it. It just tasted… nutty and oily. Which checked out because the “sauce” was literally just oily, crushed nuts. I will say I did have the bread to start and that was pretty good, and the pickles it came with were tasty. But it’s hard to mess up bread. The atmosphere was nice and moody, so I enjoyed that. But god that ravioli will stick with me… and not in a good way. It was especially disappointing because it was the last meal I had on my trip to Seattle. Sorry Tulio!

Love the food and atmosphere. The service is oddly weird. The bartender seems to have an attitude like he doesn't get a damn about anything. Lots of dishes were tossed around so extremely loud noises in the surrounding. Probably give them another try if we are craving pasta dishes. Overall very reasonable price and the food were delicious! Updating my review, 11/19/2022, we gave this place a second try last night. The service was above and beyond this time. We had a wonderful time celebrating both of the boy's birthdays and enjoyed meeting the new director. The food and wine selections were savory. I m much more satisfied with everything during this second visit and absolutely would return and recommend this hidden gem. I also learned that they have a second floor that would accommodate approximately 35 people. It would be a perfect spot to throw a small party or gathering. I don't know what is the requirements to book the room so you probably want to reach out to them directly for details.

We did not have a reservation on a Saturday night, but we were able to be seated immediately in the bar area. Paul was our waiter, and he was extremely helpful. He made excellent recommendations when we asked for them from wine all the way to dessert. He's clearly very knowledgeable. He was attentive but not at all annoying. We thoroughly enjoyed having him as our waiter. The food was absolutely delicious. We had the sweet potato gnocchi, ravioli, orecchiette, pot de crème, and the olive oil cake. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the sauces were delicious. I asked Paul for his recommendation on a drink pairing with the pot de crème, and he knocked it out of the park with a grappa called Dimmi. We left very satisfied and happy but also sad that we're only here for a quick vacation. Although, we might have to make a return for another meal before we leave!

In Seattle for business, colleagues chose this respected Italian restaurant for dinner one evening. I was looking very forward to it, and the ambience and service suggested a very special meal was ahead. Sadly, that wasn't the case at least for my meal. The ravioli was bland and flavorless. I was sort of awestruck and didn't want to ruin things for my colleague who chose the restaurant but noticed they didn't finish their meals either and one asked for salt which doesn't typically occur in a high end restaurant in my experience. The server was knowledgeable and fantastic and again the ambience was everything I would expect in a high end locale but whoever was managing the kitchen and/or menu that evening really under performed. Presumably that was an off night. Dessert was better than the meal.

Katharine was awesome!!!!!! Honesty, 1st time here and i loved it. The attention to detail and customer service is out the roof. I love how detailed they were with describing the dishes. Made me want to eat everything on the menu. By accident I received a dish I thought was mine. I did eat it as I had a few drinks and could not notice if it was what I ordered or not lol. Well anyways the waiter came over and apologized for a dish they gave me by accident that I ate lol. O gosh. However I was not charged for it and I was willing to pay for it but they refused and thanked me for the feed back on the dish of the day. Felt like a movie. It was a special dinner with my wife and daughter…..Small portions but a lot of flavors ! Come here if your in Seattle and want a taste of Italian food !

Nice Italian Restaurant. We had our 1st month wedding anniversary here and they celebrated by giving us a complementary champagne. The food is really yummy and very comforting. There fresh foccia bread with fresh butter and olive oil is just yummy. We had the Orchiette, burrata (yummy and delicious made up of golden beets and orange), Chicken Risotto and they Chocolate cup de creme was simply amazing. The staff is nice and friendly. If you are in for a nice Italian dinner with your family or special someone this place is definitely a place I would recommend. Note:- This restaurant might be a little on the higher end but the food is worth it.

Looking for a fancier spot for dinner for my birthday vacation. The manager got us in quick without a reso and was very accommodating. He continually improved our evening with great service detail and seating. Our server was very experienced and made us feel right at home and comfortable regardless that we were underdressed for this place. The food came out fast but not to fast and was perfectly cooked and better then I thought from when reading the menu. Beautiful atmosphere and will deff be coming back when staying in the downtown core. Thank you Tulio for an unforgettable experience.

Cute spot in Seattle to grab dinner! We got the cauliflower soup, which was a special that night. It tasted alright. But the bruschetta was simply delicious - the tomato jam added a lot of flavour to the dish. For mains, we got the lamb shank and the bucatini. The lamb shank was delicious however the bucatini tastes a bit flat. And for dessert we got the chocolate cake which was yummy. They did not have a mocktails list but asked me the flavours I enjoy in a drink. They whipped up a really good mocktail that went great with my food. I would certainly recommend giving this place a try.

I came in for my first visit for a solo date night, and this place exceeded my expectations! The FOH manager at the door, Caitlin, she was very hospitable and gave me a lovely table in the bar area. My server, Dani, she was exceptional! Very attentive, knew every detail about dishes I asked about, and recommended great drinks! After dinner she recommended the Amaro Montenegro and it was exquisite. The staff here are very friendly and attentive, I will be coming back very soon.

Was recommended this place by hotel staff. Called and went with a larger party yesterday and we all left underwhelmed with the food, but mainly put off by the service. There were multiple tables around us who sat down after us and got both appetizers and food before we got appetizers and even drink refills. Great gnocchi appetizer though so deserves some praise for that but other than that, it’s a pass.

Best part of the meal was the rabbit pappardelle. Yum. Rich and delicious with tender noodles. Tasted homemade. The steak was lukewarm, even though I asked for it to be piping hot. I asked for medium rare and it came out medium. The chicken and lemon risotto dish was under seasoned and a little bland, but the chicken was tender. The pate was very good with the berries and pickled fennel. Way too much though, definitely enough for 4 people. The sweet potato gnocchi was delicious, but heavy and a bit gummy. Love how they were pan fried. The pistachio dessert was excellent. Yummy.

Tulios is fantastic for full dinner but even more fun for a quick bite before or after a show. Walking distance to all the theaters and performance halls, the bartenders are always fantastic. Juan in the bar makes great suggestions for wine or snacks. You can get the full menu in the bar, so it's easy to make everything into tapas/sharing plates. Amazing selection of grappas, plus dessert is sublime. We had a hard time choosing, the couple next to us just got them all and shared! Did I mention they are across the street from the amazing public library?

  • Howard Sewell

Meh. Pricey old school Italian. Ambiance was cozy enough (tip: request a booth) but food was nothing memorable and our service was scripted and a little pushy. As we picked up the wine list the waiter was immediately rhapsodizing about a new $88 bottle of off-menu Italian red before we'd even selected our entrees or told him the type of wine we liked. It was if he was on commission. Food (I had the Bucatini with Leeks & Mushrooms, served under a mountain of grated - and unrequested - cheese) was pleasant but unspectacular. We won't be rushing back.

  • Wilson Tsang

TLDR: quality food for reasonable prices in the city center Connected to the Kimpton hotel, the vibe is very classic with candlelight and nice tablecloths. I ordered the pasta with mussels and my girlfriend ordered the chicken Milanese. The pasta was a hit being perfectly al dente and having lots of flavor. The Milanese was good as well and not dry at all. Personally I was not a fan of the kale, it was crispy but still chewy so I’m not sure how that works and my mouth did not like the texture

Classic old-world Italian restaurant, ideally located for a bygone era. Located in the area where daytime activities are related to the courts, I can imagine it's hard to get a table! At night the patronage switches to the out-of-towners who are staying in the 3-4 star hotels nearby or catching a show. The service was impeccable! The menu classic, with no surprises.

We came from Redmond Ridge to go celebrate our anniversary. What a great dinner! Truly lovely Italian style ristorante! I love the Antipasta mussels, so fresh and flavorful because I was from a seafood city so I know how fresh is considered fresh, Primi: Angolotti wild mushroom so fresh and angolotti similar to ravioli with good cheese inside, then finally had secondi omg loved the Duckling meat, unfreaking tasty and suckulint, good combination of that sweet pear and meat! Will come back for sure when we are around 5th Avenue!

We have been coming here for years when we visit Seattle and it is always good solid northern Italian inspired food with a Northwest twist. The service is superb and the ambience is upscale casual and perfect for a night out. Well though out wine list and complementary drink meal. Good food and a comparatively good price.

The sad meal in this photo cost $54 not including the tip. Came here because it was recommended but expected better quality, maybe some seasonings and larger portions considering the prices. Hostess was very friendly. Maybe the presentation is better when you dine in. Also had to wait over 30 minutes for this bland, dainty meal.

Ordered the bread, sweet potato gnocci, steak and a pasta. The pasta was mediocre. The sauce was tangy, basically crushed tomatoes but the sausage was flavourful and the pasta itself had a good texture. Steak was reasonably priced and well seasoned. The sourdough bread was better than the other, but nothing special could have skipped. The sweet potato gnocci was really good but felt a little heavy after a few, good for sharing.

Good dinner place. The food was good and service was fast. The only thing I felt on my chicken pasta is too much of lime (may be whole lime instead of juice that gives a bit of bitter taste). Wine collection was good.

Lovely pre-theater meal. The sweet potato gnocchi was amazing. Asked for my steak on the rare side of medium-rare and it was perfect. Only downside was the odd table at which we were placed. Right on the main path to the washroom. But - I didn't ask for a different table. So one star off of me, not them. Look forward to coming back.

They get one star from me. Not because of the food or service but because of the lack of communication. Did a working interview there about a week and a half ago. Was told someone would reach out to me shortly thereafter. Never heard a word from anyone. Contacted GM Ross numerous times without any reply. Is this the best way to conduct business and look for new hires? Do better Tulio!

VERY good food (two pastas, two salads & excellent drinks!) but the service is very special too. Our waiter Andy was so considerate of our after dinner time commitment. The hostess Miriam was really professional, tactful and charming. We were unavoidably late, but she held our place. She is a real asset to the restaurant. Thank you for a great experience - we’ll be back. ❤️
