I had an exchange, I walked in unaware that it was almost closing time. I asked if it was okay to walk around with my exchange to grab a new color. Grabbed the color went the counter AND HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE. For one, both ladies were at the counter one was on her phone, the other just standing there, two they returned my foundation I was returning and EXPECTED ME TO PAY A DIFFERENCE BECAUSE SHE RETURNED the items and my full amount of points returned were not back on my card. All I wanted was a new color. Three I was told they could do NOTHING and I would have to contact customer service myself. I said no that is wrong and they should be able to do something because I was simply EXCHANGING my foundation. It turned into a big to do and neither ladies had any idea on what to actually do. The one currently on her phone continued being on her phone. THEN called someone sent her pictures of the receipts and everything because she had no idea what she was doing. Keep in mind she called on her OWN CELL PHONE after being on it in front of me the entire time. She was extremely rude and the lady helping me to begin with had no idea what she was doing. I’m sure she was new and the lady who seemed to have slightly more experience was no help due to being in her PHONE. I’m extremely disappointed as I’ve never had a bad experience at Ulta.

Got my hair done by Morgan the other day, and had a good experience because she was so sweet and seemed to know what she was talking about. My hair turned out a bit more red than we wanted. She seemed disappointed with it too and offered to lighten and tone it again today at 11:15 am. I arrived to my appointment early and waited a bit until another employee, maybe manager, asked me what I wanted to get done to my hair, which should have been listen on my appointment. I told her I believed Morgan was going to lighten it and fix the color. The woman stated Morgan wouldn’t be able to do it today because she supposedly wouldn’t have enough time. That honestly made no sense to me since Morgan scheduled the appointment for me ahead of time. They also didn’t call me ahead of time to let me know they wouldn’t be able to accommodate me, which I wouldn’t have minded as much. I asked if another employee would be available to do it, but the woman did not try to accommodate me and tried to get me to come back a different day. I told her no and that it wasn’t my fault, that this is ridiculous. I walked out, called the ulta in mission valley and Sean got me in right away and fixed the color of my hair and was so sweet to have helped me. I’m pretty disappointed with my experience at this Ulta and will not use their salon services again.

I love this Ulta location. The staff really impressed me. They were caring and helpful. Sometimes it is hard to shop in a place where everyone looks so stunning and perfectly made up. These gals are gorgeous, but also kind and laid back. I recommend it just based on the staff. But, I love how this one is set up. It is such fun and full of treasures. I have had many a great night exploring it. :) I have been making my way through the Hempz lotions and haircare. I love the shampoo and conditioners! They make my hair feel so healthy. And I have a ton of favorite lotion scents. The lotion has been saving my skin this winter. Star Jasmine and Vanilla is a nice light vanilla scent. Fresh Coconut & Watermelon ends up smelling almost like coconut water. Pomegranate is sweet, but not too sweet. Sandalwood Apple is sandalwood bliss. Citrine Crystal & Quartz is refreshing. And the Sweet Raspberry & Blushing Rose smells wonderful. They are all great lotion, just personal preference. I like the smaller containers to try out a scent. It seems expensive at first, but they have great sales, coupons and with the lotion a little goes a long way.

I was on the search for the overnighter sealer from Falscara and decided to go to this location as it said it was available in store on the website. When I got there the whole display was empty, and most associates were busy. One associate was at the makeover area and was cleaning her brushes so I asked if she could help me. She immediately agreed and came over looking through all of the cabinets. She went to the back a few times, checking the inventory, and even asked another associate for help. In my past experience, they usually just say it just be a glitch in the system and go back to their work. Instead Ashley, spent about 10-15 minutes looking around the store until they found it. She was so helpful and so pleasant to speak to as well, not to mention her makeup was incredible and her outfit was super cute. She made this trip super enjoyable, especially since I usually like to just purchase things online. I’m not one to write reviews but I thought that Ashley deserves a shout out. I hope ULTA or her location can give her some recognition for being an awesome employee!

I was a big fan of this salon to get my hair done. I even referred over friends who now get their hair done. But now I refuse to go there. I made an appointment to get my roots done before I go on vacation tomorrow for 230pm. They called me a day before and changed it to 630. I got there at 630 and they said "oh no it was for 6" but I literally wrote it down as soon as we scheduled it and even messaged my husband so he could hang out with the kids while I got my hair done. So they moved it back to 7. I had to run next door to get a jacket for our trip and when I came back before 7, I was told "oh no. We looked for you and you weren't here so we can reschedule you".... and there were no people in the salon. It was open for 2 more hours. I dont think the hair stylist even wanted to actually do it. So now I'm stuck flying out tomorrow without getting it done. Dont recommend.

I have been going to The Salon at Ulta Beauty and have been shopping in the store since moved to SoCal from NY almost 5 years ago, and, I think their hair stylists are absolutely great and very knowledgeable‼️ I truly enjoy shopping there because they carry a large assortment of cosmetics, skincare, and, fragrance products plus as an Ulta Beauty Loyal Member, you acquire reward points for money spent and then you get money back when you redeem your points accrued which adds up to be a lot of savings‼️ Also, I have had my hair done and shopped in several Ulta Beauty locations and each and every time I visit, I feel so welcome and always get a wonderful service at The Salon as well as shopping on the floor‼️ Keep up the fantastic ‍♀️️ service‼️

Purchased leave in conditioner here and was followed by an employee Christine who refused to help us find a leave in conditioner. Then she stared us down and wandered around pretending to pick up products only to place them back down. After a couple minutes of this strange behavior she finally decided to do her job and checked us out at the front. Only one employee was doing so previously who was doing all the work. After asking Christine for the customer service number, she said she would provide it. After giving us out receipt she stood in silence as if she forgot we asked for her to provide us with the customer service number. We had to ask twice for her to give us the number. Will only go to the La Jolla location from now on. Please retrain Christine/christina.

I’ve gone here about six or seven times because it’s close to my house but man the customer service sucks. I think out of all the times I’ve been there I’ve only been approached one or twice. And then at the checkout the employee seems uninterested and almost bored with having to check me out, they don’t make eye contact or small talk so it’s awkward and quiet. The last time I went the employee was talking across the store to another employee and they were laughing about some inside joke. I thought i was making up the way they were acting until other people started telling me they were having the same experience there. I’m not a perticulary judgy person but every time I go there it’s just such a weird vibe and the employees are pretty rude.

They have a great selection of beauty products, but my one star is for the lack of customer service at this location. Read the other reviews and you'll notice a recurring theme. I've never been to Ulta before and I thought I'd give it a try because I was trying to find a new skin care routine. It was not busy at all and I was probably one of the few customer there. I was standing at the skin care area trying to figure out what I needed for a good 15 minutes and yet there's plenty of employees standing around doing nothing and chit chatting with each other... not one single employee bothered to ask me if I needed help. I gave up and walked out very disappointed!

Been to this stores location on several occasions, some of them have been order online for store pickup. Out of the 5+ times I did store pickup I was in and out in under 4min. When I did a curbside pickup, it was like lightning fast. 1 time took a little longer because a new person was training. The times I have gone in the store I found it to be clean, well organized and stocked. The sales people were friendly and always said hi and offered assistance. One occasion my cashier told me about a product to buy and it is one of my favorite hair products to date. So glad she said something. All in all a really great Ulta.

Never have I ever felt sooo alienated in my life ! Like I didn't think it was a huge deal for a couple of guys to go buy some hair product.. it's 2019! I didn't think situations like this were allowed anymore.. Christine was stalking and harassing us the entire time following us and whispering into her mic and than goes to personally cash me out at the register. I called already to guest service and am hoping to hear back from them.. honestly the worst Experience ever! I can't believe it.. Christine does not belong in retail or any job which require even a tiny bit of customer service skills..

horrible place to get ur hair cut or done in general please do not go here. i got my hair cut by a black girl with thin brows. first impressions was she didn’t even wash my hair right she never looked at the photos i was refrencing my cut to. she cut my curtain bangs so horribly and they hair cut turned out so bad. i’ve had so many breakdowns because my hair was so pretty and i just wanted a trim. the layers are so ugly she kept cutting straight and nothing else. i left no tip i’m so upset and i can’t even get it redone until 2 weeks from now on because she cut it too short

I loved my products and was told they would email my receipt. They did not. I called store to ask for the receipt to be emailed. They said they couldn't do it and gave me the customer service number to call. CS said the only way I can get my receipt is to go to the store. I live 50 Mile's away and I may never visit that store again. I want the receipt so that I can reorder my products on line. It is a bad policy as far as I'm concerned. Won't let them or anyone else email me a receipt ever!

I went in to look for a few things for myself and my daughter for Christmas. I thought I knew what I wanted but was quickly steered in the right direction by the store manager, Marisha. I am so thankful she was there and helped me find the items I was truly looking for and what would look best on me and work for me. I will definitely be back because of the excellent customer service.

As an men I dont know much about Make up or women products. But this shop still impress me. Alot of Brand, variety of care product. Good place to buy for yourself and your women. Still quite waiting for Employee, empathy with you guy because of busily . Its take a long time for each customer with punch of questions. Should Come here. I am going to Yuri at the Hair Salon. I've gone to several Salons and have not found anyone I have liked. But I dont have to look anymore. Yuri does an excellent job. Very thourough and detailed and listens to exactly what you are wanting. She takes consideration of your hair condition and also does what's best for your hair. I completely recommend her.

Never shop at the one in mira mesa and I had some nars rep in there store color . me give me the total wrong colors told the girl I could not come back cause I was having surgery and I go in there and it was 4 days past 60 days and Sonja we as not at all helpful nor did she have any customer service skills? Sephora is the place to shop

If you're in need of a great color/cut, see Alina. She know how to do hair! I have coarse, dark, highlighted hair that was brassy. Brassy because of the pandemic, I had someone else do my hair. Anyways, never again. Alina fixed it and always makes my hair look amazing. I drove 20 miles to go see her and it was worth it.

Went in there for the first time as a experiment. I was looking for shampoo for color treated hair. I walked the store for a good 20 min. NOBODY APPROACHED ME. A guy looked at me that worked there but said absolutely nothing to me. Well I thought I might shop in this store, but not after this exoperience.

Called ahead to see if they have an item in stock... was told to check the website instead because it's more accurate. It said they had it in stock so I drove 20 miles to find out it's not in stock because someone was too lazy to look on the shelf and the store is not busy. Very frustrating

Went to get my hair highlighted by Isaiah and he did an amazing job! I went in wanting to fix what was done by another stylist at a different salon and he gave me exactly what I asked for. I will definitely come back to see him in the future!

There is so many different things I thought it was only going to be face creams there is different brands of face creams, different bath essentials, make up, hair products and more. Loved it. There is pricy brands and not so pricy.
