As a younger female driver with not a whole lot of knowledge about cars I always get nervous choosing a new mechanic to visit by myself because I don’t want to be preyed upon if I come across naive. My experience here was so reassuring and John demonstrated so much honesty throughout. Life got in the way and my car was overdue for a service and ran into a variety of issues, including the check engine light coming on and discovering my car had no oil. John was a reassuring presence when I spoke to him on the phone, and helped diagnose all the things my car needed work on, wrote a list detailing the costs involved and the matter of urgency, and was patient with me when I decided what to prioritise first when working with limited funds. When I picked up my car and paid for the services he did, John lowered the price he quoted me because the works took him less time to do than he originally thought - it demonstrated a lot of honesty to me. He also helped me lower the costs involved when I detailed that I currently had limited funds to work with. I will definitely be returning when my car needs some attention as well as recommending other people to this location.

John, Louis and their staff have been servicing my car for a few years, since being recommended by a friend. I have enjoyed the highest quality, trustworthy and dependable car servicing, it’s been a huge relief knowing I can trust my car to them. The service they provide is dependable and personalised, a phone call away should you need their advice at short notice, “ just bring it in “ John has replied, what’s more he has refused to charge me for his time and effort. My son had been having his car serviced at the dealership thinking it was best for his car, until he was quoted $4, 000.00 for a service - he rang me distressed. I put him in touch with John who checked car service needs against dealership quote -dealership quote not only was expensive but repairs and parts needed were highly exaggerated. John provided quote and serviced car for a fraction of dealership quote. My son has since had his car serviced by John and his team, several year on he continues to enjoy trouble free car performance. In summary, friendly, honest and utterly reliable quality car servicing.

Took my car here for service, 1 day later the engine malfunction alarm came up, took the car back where ultratune just reset the alarm and told me everything was okay. Not long after and my car broke down on the highway, turns out that engine malfunction light was due to broken injector mounts and now it has cost me $2K to be fixed after these injectors burst apart and I have been without a car for 2 weeks. Won't be going back. Not to mention the service report did not detail any urgent work and when asked for a itemised report with a quote three times this was not provided. Mechanic who has now fixed injectors informed me that this probably should have been picked up when I went back with engine malfunction light, not to mention the cam cover was broken which can also indicate this.

Brought my car in and talked through 3 problems I wanted looked at in addition to the service. Told them i was in no rush so they had plenty of days to service, look into 3 issues and prepare quotes. Had to call them after almost a week as their was no update,to hear they were only just about to start on it. Asked for quotes, only verbal estimate dribble. At pickup again no quotes prepared, wanted me to proceed with $900 work based on his guess work. Totally un trust worthy. The car smelt like mechanic afterwards and seat was messed up, which surprises me given the 2 hours total spent on it from 1 week, which should have spent in engine bay not drivers seat ! .; edit had a second opinion done and the work he suggested wasnt required.

After recommendation and reading the good reviews we got our car serviced by Ultra Tune. They said our car was not road worthy and needed $3000 worth of work (2600 if we paid in cash). We took it to another garage that told us most of the work was unnecessary. The necessary work was minor and cost us $500 with this other garage. We've done 15,000k since (6 months) and taken the car for 2 additional services where we've been told the car is in great condition and the items Ultra Tune said we required, are not necessary. This untrustworthy behaviour is very disappointing, I regret ever taking our car in.

I'm giving 5 stars to John, If i could basically echo the same experience (very similar) to the review done by Paris below. I wont write the whole story, but he was so incredibly helpful, patient (and funny!). One of the best customer service I've ever experienced. I'm from NSW and wasn't sure about some of the processes, he was so helpful and went out of his way to help and guide me on what to do. I will go back here from now on just based on this! I've dealt with John and Lou for years and couldn't recommend them enough. They are professional and knowledgeable. Recently I've had another service centre recommend disc and pads be changed on my wife's car. Took it to John and Lou for second opinion and was shown how much others abuse trust and try to take advantage of people. The brakes and rotors still had at least 10k KMs in them! John didn't charge me and saved me a ton!

Service is great, They are fast, polite and very honest. Why do i say this? I once was at work and my car was reporting low on oil, I was walking around and couldnt find any auto places nearby, so i poped into Ultratune and they topped me up with enough oil to get me home for free. This was 6 months ago. I have now had myt car serviced here and top notch fast job, very reasonable pricing, didnt keep me waiting at all. Cheers

John and the ultratune team have been servicing my son’s tired car since he got it for his 18th a couple of years back. They always do no more than is needed to keep it going and keep it safe. You are never pressured to get unnecessary work done. I always find their prices very reasonable. I could not recommend them more for keeping your car on the road. Great people to deal with.

Great experience from start to finish - booked in for my first service in a few years and everything went smoothly. John explained everything clearly, including work that didn’t need to happen right away, and my options to shop around etc if I wanted to. Will definitely be booking in again when my next service rolls around (and won’t leave it as long next time).

Had heard great things about this place so I rang to get a quote. I followed up THREE times and still never had a return phone call with my quote despite leaving my number twice. I understand everyone gets busy, but is business that good that you can knock back $600+ worth of work? Have gone elsewhere.
