Very negative experience. The man who works there does not know anything about flowers at all. When I was there I was looking for help putting together a bouquet of flowers for a friend's birthday. He says that he doesn't do bouquet arrangements and he doesn't have any suggestions on what goes together with what. As I wander around aimlessly in the store without a clue on what would look good together in a bouquet, he stood there without offering to help. Granted there was definitely a language barrier, however I can guarantee you that my mother who speaks very very limited English would be able to sell you flowers with her hands and her facial expressions alone. I am very disappointed that a "flower shop" has someone without any experience with flowers or customer service experience. I left the store awkwardly despite the fact that it has a lot of varieties of flowers, some of which were very pretty. I walked down the street to Not Just Flowers on 18th and the person there went above and beyond in helping and offered honest advice on flower. Do not recommend this place.

Completely and utterly disappointed with the flower arrangement I ordered for a friend's special birthday. I was expecting something much more substantial for 100 dollars. The color was good and it was simple as I had requested but this does not have the heft or look of 100 dollars worth of flowers (some of this amount was for delivery....a few blocks away). I had asked for something impressive, this was not. I guess 100 dollars in San Francisco will get you an arrangement that would cost 40 dollars in London where I live. I used to go to Urban Flowers when I lived in SF. Guess times have changed. Very disappointing and it made me a bit sad as I was hoping my friend would get a bouquet worthy of what I was spending. The phone service was also a bit curt when I called. That should have been a sign.

I am apprehensive about having flowers sent and how the final arrangement will look. Often times it is very disappointing with the price you pay and what the end result is. I called them up, nice person answered and told her what I wanted and she nailed it! She even sent me a picture prior to it being delivered. From order to delivery was less than 2 hours and that is quick! Thank you for the awesome service and you also offer an awesome value for what you deliver. This is the place if you want flowers sent to someone special in SF.

Urban Flowers is conveniently located in the heart of the Castro. It’s only a few blocks from the Castro Muni station as well as a host of public transportation buses. While the selection is nice and large, and the prices are not astronomically high, the quality unfortunately is not that great. It’s the place to go to get flowers which you don’t mind only last and stay fresh for a couple of days; I wouldn’t go there if you’re looking for a bouquet that’s going to stay nice and fresh for about a week.

My daughter was graduating the next day and I dropped in and asked if they could arrange something for me. They were very friendly, knowledgeable and creative. I love that I am supporting a family owned business and compared to many shops they are the most reasonable. My daughter's flowers must have been the most beautiful flower arrangement at AT&T Park! We called one morning to get a custom arrangement for friends anniversary, and it was ready within 30 minutes and we even got to customize it a bit more once we arrived. It was the best price in SF from what we found, and the arrangement was GORGEOUS. The owner was the one helping us, and he is so kind and has a shop filled with just stunning, unique flowers. Shop local and don't pass this place up!! SO bummed we didn't get a picture before gifting them. Thank you!

Ordered some flowers for same delivery! They were exceptionally beautiful! The best arrangement with a very reasonable price! I’m usually underwhelmed by flowers that I order for others but this shop is the total opposite! The flower arrangement was full, imaginative, modern, and bright and colorful. And packed with flowers! I would highly recommend for local flowers! The picture does not do it proper Justice!

Gorgeous selection of orchids at Urban Flowers in addition to a fine variety of many other blooms, prosaic and exotic, as well. The staff here is very nice and helpful. They have fantastic taste. Prices are in the high average range. I bought a simple bouquet for about $20. One extra large hydrangea stem was about $6. Stemless gardenias were $2 per bloom.

The flowers themselves were fine and delivered on time. However, they completely botched the card I indicated. The actually wrote the notes I intended for the florist but instead sent it to the recipient. No attention to detail and very embarrassing for me. They tried to make it right with me but even failed at that.

Came today with my parents to get my nephew a lei for his grad. They have so many leis already ready to go. One of the girls helping us was very friendly and very helpful. If you want specific colors make sure to call ahead and order. I'll be back in a week for my daughters kinder grad! Would definitely recommend!!!
