I am disappointed in the over medicalisation of care. Instead of examining the dog completely they jump to conclusion of surgery. One visit we presented for a parvo injection and was refused because she coughed once and it resulted in anaesthetic, blood tests and x-ray and steroids with normal results costing me over $1000. I feel this care was not necessary as the cough was a common occurrence for my dog and had been medically cleared by a vet in Newcastle before adoption which I mentioned to the vet at Moorebank. Last month my dog received her parvo injection, 2 weeks later she had a lump on the back of her neck. I brought her back to the practice to have the lump looked at last week. I questioned whether the lump was a delayed response to the parvo injection. Unfortunately the vet dismissed my thoughts and made me feel I had no idea what I was talking about and stated he had no idea and was unsure about the lump and all of a sudden was stating it was going to cost me $1900 for surgery to remove the lump, blood test and dental. I was upset at this outcome because it felt like the vet jumped to conclusion of surgery instead of doing a conservative approach. I questioned antibiotics to which the vet stated, they will be used after surgery. After this visit I received a second opinion from a senior vet at a different practice and my dog received 1x dose of antibiotics and the lump has disappeared and the vet stated it was a delayed response from the parvo injection. I am glad I received a second opinion and did not spend that money and put my senior dog through the stress of anaesthetic and surgery. I called on Friday to cancel the surgery. There is poor communication at the practice as both myself and another family member were contacted today asking why my dog was not there yet. I do not recommend this practice.

I would not recommend this vet hospital at all,we took our 13 yr old Pomeranian there on sept 3 & were told she had a tumour on her breast which needed to be removed, we agreed & paid $1800 for the operation, we were told by Dr Maz that she was fine & nothing further was required. Fast forward to November & it reappeared, further research & a second opinion showed that all the mammary glands on that side should have been removed to prevent further tumours. Prior to getting a second opinion Dr Maz advised us that we needed another $1600 surgery, when I asked if there were other tumours in the area he responded with “I can see what you can see” he didn’t do a thorough examination. The second vet was much thorough & explained the process & our options for treatment. I brought up my concerns with Dr Maz via email & failed to address any of them, he instead proceeded to tell me what treatment options we could take. I will be lodging a dispute with the department of fair trading as I feel he had taken advantage of our family during this stressful time & is more concerned with financial gain rather than providing adequate treatment to prevent further issues down the track. Our poor 13 year old Pom has had her second surgery at a different vet & is recovering well. On another note, our German shepherd was microchipped at this vet & the paperwork was completed incorrectly & now we will need to pay another fee to have the correct details registered, when I brought this up with Dr Maz I was told they are unable to help me & I need to contact council to update details. Once again out of pocket due to their failures & errors.

DO NOT go here. Please SAVE your pet by going ELSEWHERE. If I could give 0 stars, I would. They do not care about you or your pet’s welfare. My cat had dislocated his leg. I paid for a consultation expecting a full check-up. The vet knew exactly what was wrong and how to proceed; but refused treatment in hopes of securing $$$. They refused to treat him until I paid $1000 for a scan. Aside from my cat’s leg, it was very clear that he was ill. I anticipated that the vet would gauge what else was wrong or at least recognise that he was sick. You would expect a vet to be equipped with the knowledge of what could potentially be wrong; or at least possess the ability to recognise that a cat is not well? His condition was clear to the average human let alone a medical professional. I believe it was of greater urgency than the leg. Instead, no further examination was done on my evidently sick cat for anything else aside from what was already established i.e. his dislocated leg. We were told to come back when we were ready to pay for the scan. Soon after, he dropped dead. I think about him everyday with deep sadness. Had I consulted with a veterinary hospital who prioritised keeping my cat alive over making coins, perhaps treatment would have been initiated sooner and he would be here today. The bare minimum you expect from these people is to keep your pets alive, let alone care about their well-being. I truly regret coming here, and I do not recommend anyone who loves their pet does either.

I had recently taken my dog here. She had a bite wound to the neck from another dog attacking her. My dog was seen by Dr. Maz ( I think that was his name). Dr Maz was unsympathetic toward the whole situation and suggested for the dog to have a drainage of the wound under sedation which would cost approx $680. I informed him that i may have to check if I was able to financially afford it and call my husband. i also felt that I wanted a second opinion as i was a bit hesitant to put my dog through all that if it wasn't required. His mannerisms when consulting with me was rude and careless. I left the place disappointed. I feel like he has lost his love for this job. Either that or he was just having a bad day. Who knows. All I know is I will never be bringing any of my pets there in the future. I went to Rspca and got my dogs wound checked up. They cleaned it and gave me some antibiotics. The wound in two days has healed well and is alot less swollen and sore. I explained what Dr.Maz had suggested to do and they said that it was completely not necessary. So my advice is to always go for a second opinion if you gut tells you that the first one is not a good one. I would avoid this place ! Don't waste your money and time.

I have attended this vet clinic, which my family regularly attend for their dogs / cats which evidently support this local vet. Upon arrival the secretary Omar did not greet me or even crack a smile, it was like I was a pest sitting in his waiting room. My appointment was at 3:30, they did not see me until 4:15pm. This time I have 7 kittens + the mother of the kittens I am already aware of their issues which I advised the vet about … minor eye infection which would need a strong eye drop and some sort of antibiotics for them. The vet barely checked all the kittens only weighed 2/7 of them. He’s charged me for a consult for my adult cat (which he only looked at for 20 seconds while i held her for him to look at so he made no effort and also charged me for a consultation for my kittens which I already advised him what the issue is. I walked out paying $235 for eye drops and antibiotics which clearly shows that this guy is only out to make money. I felt used and extremely unhappy with the service. The vet didn’t even have the audacity to explain the price when I had asked him, “ just speak to my receptionist”

This vet is fraud. They took almost $1000 and only services they provided was yearly injection for my pet dog. They should refund all my monies. My husband took him for eye checkup and the yearly injection they took almost $1000. They didn’t even give my pet any treatment for the eye but charged us almost $1000. I don’t know how this vet sleeps at night when it was close to Christmas last year he took this large sum of money and no services have been provided for Fraud vet. If I was you I would never go here. The local govt should look at this they are not serving the community but fraudulently obtaining money from poor people. They have also tried again this Christmas to bring your pet dog for services so this time round they can make double the money falsely. I have got a professional vet who explains everything and gives us a quotation and let us decide but not this vet they just after the money . They should refund at least $700 that they took fraudulently happy for them to keep the difference of almost $300. But they are fraud they haven’t refunded a dollar yet.

Shocking experience. Took my dog in on the weekend. She had try to eat a fish hook and it got hooked in side of he mouth. Vet was told me it was going to be $750, just to sedate her and take out the fish hook. I said that was a lot of money. He told me I had to pay up front before they did anything. When I mentioned, I might not have the money want can I do. He said he couldn't help me I would have to go somewhere else. So in a panic I said do then. Then I got home and rang a few vets, they said no that is much money just to sedate a small dog. So I rang up straight away and said have you started they said no. I said I will come in and pick my dog up and take her somewhere else (she wasn't in pain). Vet got on the phone and said if I took the dog, don't ever come back again. He was so rude. Just worried about the dollars not the dog. Took to Base Hill Vets, cost me only $390 and she was good as new. She was only in for a few hours and they gave me the break down costs and everything.

Don’t even deserve the 1 star. Very uneducated vet and wouldn’t do his job probably. Very rough when handling one of my pups ( I’m a breeder ) and made him cry. Tried to get me to worm my pup with a different brand as apparently for him to fly on a plane he needed a different wormer which is not true or a rule when flying pups. Absolutely horrific vet and definitely did not get his vet degree here in this country. He has been reported to the vet board for doing dodgy surgeries and almost killing pets. If you care about your animals do not go here for their safety. He also after writing a fit to fly certificate tried to snatch it from me changing his mind with no reasoning as both pups are healthy and I got what I needed at another vet straight after. I will be reporting this to the vet board. He should not be able to be a vet.

  • Jaime Couch

I have never had an issue with the vet’s at moorebank. They have always been very accomodating to our animal’s needs, with very friendly service. However I have had multiple rude encounters from one of the veterinarian nurse’s. We faced an incredibly difficult situation recently and I was spoken to so rudely. Consideration was not taken into account as to my feelings and emotions nor was my animals well-being and the well-being of others. She spoke over the top of me and would not listen to my story or pleas for help. She jumped to conclusions and did not speak to me about any of the options available to me. I ended up having to visit the RSPCA’s facility and they were exceptional. Unfortunately this is not the first time, and I fear that this will not be the last. I will never take my animals here again

  • Melissa Clare

Very bad experience. Called up and were told it would be free. Found a stray cat and took it in. Just before we literally walk in we are told it will be $50. Unbelievable. Due to travelling an hour and having a poor underweight starving cat on our hands, we said okay. Vet found no microchip. Vet did very basic check on her for approximately two minutes (looked in ears briefly and checked heart rate through stethoscope). Charged $52! ($2 more than quoted but let's not talk about that). Should definitely have been free for a basic 3 minute service of checking a stray cat's health. Vet came across as someone really just looking for an afternoon buck $$$. Reception staff are lovely, vet not so much. Don't know why he chose the profession, there was no compassion there. We won't be going back.

  • Michael Bridge

we have recently had 9 puppys vaccinated and microchipped at moorebank, once we got home we looked at the paper work provided and found multiple errors eg: surname spelt incorrect, dogs names incorrect, and more importantly the breed of one of the pups incorrect. i have called and explained this and was told i will try and fix it if not ill give you papers saying its a pure breed, this is not acceptable as the dog would now be registered as a cross breed due to the error of the clinic. This is not the first time this has happened, biggest mistake we made was returning back and thinking this was a once off mistake. This is something that should be proof read before finalizing. If the issue is not rectified i will be taking this further and making a formal complaint with hierarchy.

  • Leanne Vowles

The receptionist orginally booked my dog in for the wrong reason and i then had to explain the reason again to why i was there. The consultation room was filthy. I had to ask twice for the table and scales to be dissinfected as the vet was wiping dog hair off them with his hand. I also noticed a dirty towel hanging on the rack. I explained why i was there and the vet said that he cant find any 'flea dirt' which to i replied 'because my dogs dont have fleas'. He did finally do what i asked and left the iodine mess on the floor - yuk! In the end i wasted an hour and paid for no results. What the vet had rcommended was to the take the label of a product as the manerfuctory didnt know of any sideffects. Reguardless to say i wont be going back nor will i recommend this vet to anyone.

Best priced vet around! And so caring!! Not only are they a great price but they also really care about your pet and even you! I took my dog here to get her teeth checked and operated upon. Dr Saif was excellent and caring. After her operations he showed me photos and videos of why he did what he did and took the time to explain to me everything I needed to know and answer all my questions. He was so helpful and even cut some costs for me ontop of what would've already been a great price. This is the kind of place you want to take your beloved pet to. They know how valuable they are and how not everyone can afford to get good healthcare for their pets - hence their great prices. Thank you so much Vets for Pets for taking such good care of my baby girl.

  • Lynne Coates

Vets for pets at Moorebank was the only vet in the area that I could get an emergency appointment my pet was so dehydrated and had a severe case of diarrhoea I don't think he would have lasted the night they put a drip on him straight away I picked him up at 8pm that night with all the medication within 3 days he was fine. It's fine to say you must have an appointment weeks in advance at most vets but realistically dogs don't get sick that way I was impressed they covered all avenues to make sure he had the right medication and it worked. PS this was not our usual clinic but looks like it may be now. All staff who work in vets should understand sometimes you can't have an appointment 2 weeks in advance.

  • Anita Mahy

Dispite the two recent Google reviews (both shocking) I thought I would try myself to make an appointment before work. Well, reviews confirmed the receptionist was rather rude and spoke abruptly down my throat "we don't open till 9 im down at the kennels, thanks bye" giving my absolutely no chance to say- I just wanted to book quicky before work for as soon as possible so my partner could bring our dog into the vet. I was Trying to say "i Googled and it said you open at 830" but the lady cut me off and hung up. Great way to treat customers. Maybe you could change your advertising on Google to the correct time. Well, im definitely not going to be using you. Another bitter customer

  • Jess N

The vet Yoshi provided good service, staying back over an hour to do emergency surgery on our dog, however, the receptionist Lisa was extremely rude to us over the phone for our followup session. We were told that we could just come in 5 days after without an appointment for a checkup by Yoshi, but when we called and Lisa answered she was incredibly hostile and unaccommodating - telling us that we needed to have an appointment and called Yoshi silly for telling us otherwise. I would have definitely come back to this vet, however, Lisa has just ruined our experience completely.

  • Vandhana Nand

Dr Saif and Dr Kumaran thank you taking such great care of us every visit. Enzo and Bruno are taken such great care of you both go above and beyond for us. We appreciate all your help and care! You help our mummy feel better knowing that you care and take great care of us. For every fur parents these 2 vets are professional and care about all their patients. 150% recommend to take your fur babies here. Also the staff are friendly, supportive and professional thank you Monique for keeping us happy and playing with us on every visit ♥️

  • Clarissa Kocovski

Do not visit this clinic! I read the previous bad reviews and still made a booking at the Moorebank Clinic thinking: “how bad could it be”?Regretful! Zero care for animal safety, money making driven mentality. Don’t bother with this clinic. They are unprofessional, make you feel like you’re an idiot for asking questions and do not follow similar protocols compared to other local VETS. Tried to take this further with management, no one bothered to take my call until stating that I would be writing a review.

  • Bea N

Moorebank vet for pets discontinued their services to my pup because 2 appointments were missed DURING lockdown. Very unimpressed and I never expected a company to disregard the current situation we are in. I even offered to pay for the missed appointments so my pup stays with the same vet but again we were rejected. Very insensitive management especially now that I have to find a new vet even though I had been with moorebank vet hospital since I first got my pup and I was happy with the Vet. Very unfair

  • George

Not happy with the advice given by this vet to sedate my dog to remove some ear hairs causing a minor infection. I had to pay a consultation fee and quoted over $700 for the procedure. I took him back to my local vet (who was initially booked out) and he was able to pluck the hairs by hand and administer ear drops and a treatment plan within a matter of minutes. No sedation required and the infection has gone away. I would be cautious attending this clinic and recommend you get a second opinion.

  • Pat Ducaud

I walked in, was spoken rudely by the owner, i believe. I was asked to wait outside in the cold due to "a very large dog was due to come out of the office". It's a pretty large reception area so i would have loved to have seen this dog, the size of an elephant I imagine. I was left waiting for a while outside for far too long, so decided to spend my hard earned cash at another clinic that values its customers and treats them with a bit of respect. Owner definitely not a people person.

  • sam mollica

Rubbish don’t take your pet there they push you to pay for stuff that they haven’t even completed took my dog in for the hope we were getting an xray for his leg all they did was put him to sleep didn’t feed him at all and let him sit there when we came to pick him up the next day they didn’t even check on him let alone X-ray him. If you love your pets take them somewhere else. I wouldn’t trust this vet with my gold fish let alone anything else rubbish business

  • Eva Hard

The experience was great very friendly also the Veterinarian Dr George was great he bought out all the options on treatment for my new puppie so i could select than which option was most suitable for my puppies enviroment and living conditions. Thankyou Dr George Zac and i will be visiting this clinic for future references. #ijustwishdrGcouldhadtoldmeihadchocolateallovamymouth.haha.# Thankyou again wonderful experience 4 me and my puppie.

  • D M

The service is mixed, the receptionist/nurse is good, and the younger vets are good, but for one vet, I think he is the owner of the clinic, who was very rough with my dog, pulled him up onto the bench by his collar, strangling him. He also looks for any reason to charge and they are overpriced. Only go if that particular vet is away. The only reason I go there is because they are very close, otherwise, I would travel elsewhere.

  • Wickramaarachchige Don Chanuka Gunawardana

Special praise for Dr Saif The only place in Moorebank is the only place where we can get emergency appointments. Usually needed to book appointment 1 week prior but they do actually care about their customers and accept emergency appointments which is very helpful❤️ Doctors and the staff is always there to provide good quality service. Specially practice manager is very friendly. Highly recommended ✅

  • Annon Amos

Don’t use this vet very expensive and rough with your pet. He stabbed my dog in the neck for an injection (in which he yelped loudly for a strong staff breed) Two days later my dog had a massive cycst the size of a tennis ball in the area of the injection there was no way I was going back there !!!!! Went elsewhere to have it drained. Overcharges for the horrible experience for both Pet and human.

  • sara Kurd

A friend of mine took my per to this clinic as I was at work and couldn’t take her to my own vet . First of all they asked for $460 for blood test before even examination the pet and giving any advice , they claimed we can’t diagnose the problem without blood test which was just an excuse . Long story short my pet was about to die as the medicine didn’t work on her and their diagnosis was wrong.

  • Zack Alloggia

Terrible place! The manager was so rude to us, we've moved to another clinic. Some randos picked up our collared cat (which has a phone number) and took them there and they let them take our cat home! Then they LIED and said they tried calling us after we called them out! We took our dog in (visibly nervous) and they grabbed straight at his face without even saying hi or anything! Don't go here.

  • Cindy Surace

So first time visiting this vet, I felt really heard which was refreshing. He was so thorough in getting her history and did a comprehensive physical exam. The cost like any vet is hard to swallow however not as high as some other vets I've seen in the past. The afterpay and openpay options really help The receptionist was so sweet and so kind to my baby girl which was so reassuring.

  • Steven

very poor, they offer a discount if you leave them a good review so who ever does leave one is not very honest. They have microchipped our dog and had the details incorrect which ended up costing us more money to have it rectified as the vet had no interest in fixing their mistakes. I guess the saying you get what you pay for is a great example here, cheap but no quality.

  • Josipa Tvrdeic

Thank you Maz and all staff for doing last night operation on my Nada , I am so blessed vet Maz gave Nada best care and love she needed to get better .... I could not explain to you how happy I was this morning when I came to see my Nada and she was happy again , like she never had twisted intestines ... thank you so much .... I will never be able to thank you enough !!

  • Isabella Ishak

We love Vets for Pets! My husband and I were worried about finding a vet for our fur babies (puppy and kitten) as our kitten has pre-existing health issues. We are very happy with this vet clinic, particularly Dr Saif. He is very knowledgeable, takes the time to explain everything and prioritises the wellbeing of our pets. Thank you for your wonderful help Dr Saif!

  • Berna Marhaba

I’ve been to so many vets and I won’t go any where else anymore! The staff is so welcoming, the clinic is very clean and dr saif Al Sowaidi is a very thorough vet that goes above and beyond for his patients, after any procedure he will always give a follow up call to check up on my cats, which goes to show he looks out for the best interest for my pets.

  • Shantay Riria Verona Rangi

Great vet im always worried on costs and this was affordable the consultations are $52 and before the treatment is done they update you on the cost first. Yes our babies are priceless but when ur struggling especially through this pandemic they are amazing. Customer service is excellent for both receptionist and vet. 100+ stars from me Great job team

  • Samar NAGI

Due to other issues I couldn't go to my usual vet so I no need in last minute with moorebank and they happily took my bunny in the next day and were very accommodating go or pick up time as I needed to come after work. Very pleased, my bun is doing okay, a bit more sedate but looking well the day after

  • Yasmin Maamari

From the minute I walked through the doors I was greeted by Omar. The place is very clean and staff are very welcoming. Prices are reasonable. Much cheaper than other vets. My cat was greeted and assured he was in good hands. Will definitely be taking all my pets here from now on. Thank you guys.

  • Zach Vey-Johnson

Terrible, 15 minutes after closing time my dog required a vet urgently, arrived at the Moorebank Veterinary Hospital hoping there was an after hours number, called the after hours number multiple times with no success each time saying the number was unreachable.

  • Sarah Darwish

I love coming here especially because doctor Saif is the best vet. I can never take my pets to another practicing vet. His customer service is amazing the way he understands the pets and their needs he knows how to help your pet heal better then any other vet.

  • Johana Guerrero

Receptionist was very nice. The vet was very lovely with my dog, spoke to her nicely gave her treats. He gave me advice on my new pet. Very happy and pleased with the vet and in my opinion good and cheaply priced. Will be coming back to this vet.

  • James Thompson

Took my cat Bubbles there today for an examination for his cat flu, the Doctor was great. Was very gentle with handling Bubbles and gave me very good advice. Consult cost was a bit steep but a worthwhile price to pay to ensure my cat was okay :)

  • Gabriel Clarkin

Our home is now complete. Thanks so much to the team at Montego!! We could not be happier with the final finish. We have had so many positive comments about the quality of the build also. A house we can now make a home and create many memories.

  • Karen Battour

Our little fur baby has been under the care of Moorebank Vet's team for 7 years now.  If no appointment available at Moorebank we go to Glenfield and /or Revesby. The VETs /staff know and shows sincere care for our dog. Kudos to the team!

  • Marissa Ma

The vets here are knowledgeable, caring and generally on time. I moved away from the area years ago and still prefer to do the drive to Moorebank for all my furbabies. 100% would recommend!

  • Krystel Irwin

Saif is an amazing vet. He has literally saved my dog twice! The staff here have been so accommodating in such diabolic situations for both of my dogs. A bit pricey but definitely worth it.

  • Nicolas Brun

Trust your gut. Price gouging, heart string pulling swindlers. Cannot recommend lowly enough. The only thing this vet is missing is a big shiny gold tooth. I LOOK FORWARD TO YOUR RESPONSE.

  • Alison Ellem-Honeywill

The receptionist was friendly and welcoming to us and our doggo. We were made to feel at home and reassured as first time vet visitors. The vet was wonderful - knowledgeable and friendly.

  • Terry li

To be frank, I won’t recommend people go to this vet not because its too bad, its just simply the doctor is a money digger. Find someone who really treat your pet in heart.

  • mateen
