I had already switched pharmacies to the Laveen Fry's Pharmacy, because this Walgreens Pharmacy location has always been terrible. Nothing has changed. I forgot to switch my daughter's prescriptions over to Fry's and last night she was in the ER and we needed her meds asap today. I called Walgreens this morning and as usual it takes forever before you can get through to speak with someone in the pharmacy, then when you do get through they have terrible customer service. They always try and rush you off the phone before actually hearing you out. One tech I spoke to said they'd put a rush on my daughter's meds and to give them 15-20 minutes, more than an hour went by and still nothing. I called again and another tech said it was "still being worked on" and that it would be another hour or more because they close down the whole pharmacy for lunch. When I informed them I had already spoke to someone earlier and they said it would be filled sooner, magically, all of a sudden it was ready. Previously, they always gave me problems with running both my primary and secondary insurances. One supervisor even admitted to me that the techs don't really know how to bill secondary insurances, which causes a lot of problems trying to get it straightened out. I've complained to corporate and sent emails before and nothing has changed. Needless to say, I won't be going back!!

My name is Chatauna Robinson. I am giving this store 5 stars, despite the fact that sometimes they are short staff and they don't pick up the phone. In these trying times that we are living in with COVID19 and it's variants, Flu season and now Ebola is popping up it is a wonder that they are short staffed. People are just not working, or can't get to work, sick or whatever. I have read where the U.S. is experiencing roughly 20,000 deaths a day this is overwhelming. Walgreens is not the only business that is experiencing these shortcomings. When they are swamped with customers, especially the pharmacy and short staff they cannot get to the phone, not that they don't want to but because they are hopping around trying to get sick people their medication as quickly and as accurately as possible. However, despite it all the staff, every time I go in or drive through, they are always respectful and supper nice. I even saw the Pharmacist one time apologize to a customer for her wait and told her that he would call her as soon as her order was ready, because of an issue that was with it he could not fill it at that time. I am not knocking people frustrations they are legitimate, but remembering that we are human and that times are rough right now we need to consider or take a look at the big picture. Show compassion even for the people that serve us.

Ok. In all fairness, pharmacy's have allot of variables to deal with, e.g., different insurance plans, sick patients, elderly, etc., so I get that. However, when one Walgreens pharmacy stands out with poor customer service nearly every visit in comparison to other Walgreens, something needs to be said. The wait times are long, even with 5 or 6 people running around in the pharmacy, they still can't seem to get it right. Last night i called to speak with the pharmacy, i got the front/customer service. They tried to transfer me to the pharmacy, no one picked up after several attempts. I complained to that manager of long hold times, she said they get complaints all the time and offered to take my contact info to the pharmacy personally. I called back, got thru, spoke to a rep and was on hold for over 30 minutes. I drove to the Drive thru, still on hold, and showed the girl i spoke with that i was still on hold, and she looked up at the phone right in front of her and was embarrased. Although the Pharmacist on staff, Marcus, apologized and gave me my medication at no cost ($6), it doesn't make up for the long waits in line, and no one seems to know what the hell they're doing. Made the switch to CVS.

Worst experience at the pharmacy, was there before the pharmacy was supposed to close to pick up my prescription after being in the hospital. Was told sorry we are closed.. I said you guys don’t even close until 6 min. The guy said no we already closed the registers come back tomorrow. The manager let me know that they always close early and I could call corporate then proceeded to let me and the associate I was originally explaining why I was upset.. “well I gotta go count the pharmacy tills now” . Worst experience. Rude and inconsiderate workers who don’t care to be there or want to help anyone. For gods sakes you shouldn’t close a pharmacy early!! People need their medicine!!!!!

Customer service here is not there. I know it’s hard to provide customer service as I’ve worked in retail most of my life but I called about their curbside orders that the keep on pushing but always have everything out of stock.I mentioned I wanted to cancel my order since they didn’t have most of the items I needed and I was using a booster they sent via email. They didn’t let me explain but even the manger they just said call customer service. You should be able to fix this issue since it’s your store. I tend to go the 35ave more even though this one is right next to my house since they can always resolve the issue and don’t have me on the phone forever just to hang up on me.

When you call the pharmacy , they pick up the phone and put you on hold right away. They do this consistently over and over. I have been on hold for over 20 min and they never came back to the line to assist me. This place needs serious management and start making their employees answer the telephone to assist customer. It’s not fun driving to the pharmacy and they tell you your medicine is not in stock , when this is something that could of been told over the phone , but because they never answer or they just put you on hold and never come back to the line. Please report this to higher management so something can be done as this pharmacy is right by home and it’s convenient.

In case anyone’s wondering, the pharmacy has not improved. They somehow didn’t get 2 of the medications my doc phoned in. He called it in again, and I went in to pick it up again, but they were out of the insulin and had to order it they wouldn’t have it for another 4 days! I had enough insulin to last that long so I waited the 4 days and went in. Still didn’t have it, “come back tomorrow.” When I went in the next next day they told me my insurance didn’t cover it. I asked the pharmacist why no one had. He led this before asking me to wait a week for it. Shrugs. The staff with only one exception I found were either dim witted, surly or possibly sampling their own product.

The staff in pharmacy is so rude and careless with the patients. They don’t have medicines and even they don’t transfer prescriptions to another locations. I have really bad experience today evening with the phamasist , my son was severely sick and they don’t have medication. I ask them to transfer medication to opposite CVS. He is just don’t want to send because of personal issues with the opposite CVS staff. I requested him for almost three hours for my kids medication urgency. He literally don’t care and refused to sent. The CVS staff informed me that he did same with another 15 patients. I request wall green authorities please look into it and take necessary action.

I’m a little concerned about pharmacists who cannot do simple math. I have a prescription that is filled every three months for eight tabs per week. As I do the math 365 days divided by four prescriptions is. 91.25 days per prescription, which is equivalent to. 13.04 weeks. Now multiply 13.04 weeks by eight tabs per week and you get. 104 tabs required to meet that quarters prescription however, they filled it at 96 tabs which isn’t even a 90 day supply. I brought this to their attention twice and they continue to incorrectly fill this prescription. I am being shorted eight tabs or an entire week every quarter which creates an issue as I am a month shy every year!

The pharmacy at this walgreens on baseline and 51st ave has the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I've called them and after being on hold for a long time the phone has rung (in order to connect you to a person)and then I've had someone answer and then immediately hung up and after calling back having the same thing happen until I decided to not waste anymore of my time. Almost everyone I've dealt with, when dropping off or picking up prescriptions has an attitude and seems to not want to be there. I've never experienced this type of service from a walgreens before. I would suggest a few training sessions on customer service.

Giving 1 star because zero stars is not an option. This has to be the WORST pharmacy in the existence of pharmacies and that is not an exaggeration. How can a pharmacy become such an issue and disappointment? This location needs to be closed down and buried. Customer service does not exist here and it is so sad that the community has to deal with such incompetent people. This pharmacy is a disgrace. If this pharmacy was In Scottsdale, this would never be the case. Walgreens and their pharmacies are such an embarrassment. This has been going on for months. Drive thru constantly closed. Short staff is wearing thin. What an embarrassment

Very disappointed with Walgreens policy and Security my family was shopping at Walgreens when a Man just walks in with the backpack and helps himself and starts shoplifting jewellery cosmetics etc without a care in the world this guy walks right through the cash register and the employees don’t seem to care and don’t seem to call the police to report the crime this is just allowing all shoplifters to go in with confidence and just Take whatever they want. I will never be going to this Walgreens again first of all no security for their customers and encouraging shoplifters please look into this and change your system

If I could give them a zero, I would. I picked up a prescription through the drive through. The young lady stated that my insurance card did not have pharmacy information on it and asked for my pharmacy card. My insurance has always had both so I was very confused. She got frustrated and said, "I'm done". I don't think she knew I could hear her. Another semi rude guy came to the window. I complained and he said nothing. This is the most lacking in customer service I've ever experienced at a pharmacy. Now, I know why I generally shop at CVS. Walgreens, your customer service sucks!

They apparently only hire terrible rude people to work in this pharmacy. Especially the pharmacist himself but that just goes to show how a lot of these healthcare workers with god complexes are only in it for the money. They have no compassion for people who have just undergone major surgery and are in real pain waiting for hours and hours for medications. Most of the time they end up being out of stock here anyways. For the patients at our clinic we do not ever recommend making this place their go-to pharmacy they only give people a hard time. CVS is a much better alternative.

I wish it were possible to leave negative reviews. This place is a joke. I would say they’re a bunch of wannabe nurses. But that would be insulting to nurses. They don’t care if you get your script, they never fill it unless you call or show up and make them do it. It’s been several days and I’m still waiting. Unfortunately I can’t have it transferred. Their excuse is they’re sold out and have been for weeks. Also they can’t promise when it will be filled. Just have to wait. That’s what that scumbag walking around pretending to be a doctor tells people that need their scripts.

WORST PHARMACY EVER!!!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS PHARMACY I AM WARNING YOU! I was on hold for 30 mins then disconnected then on hold another 30 mins. I eventually gave up and never found out the status of my prescription. Called back today, am still on hold going on for over an HOUR!! Does anyone work at this pharmacy?? Another time I went I had to wait in line for 45 mins. This is NOT the way a pharmacy should be run. This is ridiculous and I hope someone sees this message that can make some change because this is not right. I will be switching pharmacy's after this refill.

Seriously 2 drive up pharmacy lanes and still the turn-around time sucks along with the rude staff, specifically the gentleman qho has made my elderly mother uncomfortable to come get her prescriptions tjat i have to come because of how rude he is with her. Lack of patience along with long wait time. Ive gone to other Walgreens pharmacies with only 1 drive thru and inside pick up and still never takes this long to wait almost an hr to simply chk or ask a question smh. RIDICULOUS is all i have to say for this Walgreens pharmacy on 51st ave baseline.

I've used this Walgreens for the past 10 years, and I have always had a good experience. The pharmacist are courteous, friendly and very knowledgeable. Sometimes we have ONE bad experience and we feed off of that. The manager and the staff are wonderful, I always feel like I'm visiting friends, because they greet me with a smile, how are you doing, explain the products in questions and we even joke around sometimes. I always leave there with a smile on my face. Perception is 90% of interacting, we need to be more culturally diverse and accepting.

I spent 6 hours of my day trying to get them to transfer perscriptions from CVS to Walgreens. I had a total of five prescriptions to transfer over all of which were valid and had available refills. For Walgreens to tell me they that two of my medications didn’t have refills which was a lie. Not only did i not get any of my asthma medication but I had to do Walgreens job and go back to CVS to confirm I have refills left. Had to pay out of pocket to get my medicine. I don’t know all Walgreens are like this but I’m okay to never use them again.

I love this place! No matter what I do- where I am, this is always my go-to pharmacy, quick needs, EVERYTHING stop! Always well stocked and CLEAN! and the real reason I wanted to leave a review is they are so NICEEE!! I personally work customer service and always appreciate people that are pleasant and sweet and interact with my son and just down right helpful. I could go on and on about how much I love this place but my dedication probably shows XD they see me quite often! Always getting those cash rewards!! 5 STARS

I wanted to call pharmacy for clarification that should have took 2 minutes to answer. i Called pharmacy and hung up on me. Then i called again and hung up again. Finally, i went to the store and the girl was clueless on what I was talking about even though they provide a certain service like why are u working in pharmacy if you don't even know the basics of the service that you provided. Overall i had to drive to the pharmacy Just to get clarification when it could have been done on the phone

The outside of the store is VERY DIRTY and the sidewalk is covered with bird feces. This means you not only track it into the store on your way in, you track it into your car when you leave. This is horrible and the store needs to do a better job keeping the place clean. There are people hanging around the parking lot and around the door of the store. It is hard to enter or exit without being asked for money for food. It makes me not want to shop here. The experience is not positive at all.

Service is a foreign word and if you are wanting your prescription for your health go somewhere else - you could die trying to get it here. Oh the amount of HIPPA Violation I just received, so not only did you put my prescription under the wrong name you gave me that person's full name and complete address and phone number. But told my family member my prescriptions were ready when in fact you had no clue where my prescriptions were. I don't know what's going on with Walgreens and y'all pharmacies but y'all need to get it together. Someone shouldn't have to go through bs to get there meds when they're already sick.

Requested 2 refills for pick-up on Tuesday 4/26/22. When I didn't receive notification that they were ready for pick-up I called only to find out the store was open, but the pharmacy was closed. No one knew why. I checked online only to find out my prescriptions had not been filled. They didn't even have my location listed as one of their stores. This was the last time I will every do business with Walgreens. I will transfer my prescriptions to another pharmacy.

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! Prescription was supposed to be ready but when picking up my son was told there wasnt anything ready. It was transferred from another walgreens at 9:30 am! I called and was hold for over 30 min then it at 7:10 (they closed at 7:00) I was rudely disconnected without anyone ever picking up the phone. This is medication i can't be without. I just transferred to another store. I WILL NEVER EVER BRING or transferr anything to this pharmacy!!!!

This Walgreens has the most incompetent employees that I have ever seen. My prescription was called in notified that it was in went there and they told me I had to wait another day. This is my diabetic medication that I need it. I’m transferring all my prescriptions from Walgreens to Fry’s I would never ever ever have another prescription filled at Walgreens. Worst one there is. I have called this store's pharmacy department 3 days in a row to speak to a pharmacist regarding my patient's medication. I have been on hold at times up to 40 minutes, with absolutely no one answering me. My patient has also been calling for the past 3 days and has not been able to speak to anyone. For those of you who live near this store, DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT have your prescriptions filled here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Never have prescriptions ready when they say they will! Dropped off 3 prescriptions at 3:30 and was told they would be ready at 5:30. Husband went at 6:45, still not ready. Told to wait 5 minutes. 35 minutes later was told 1 was on back order for 60 days, amoxicillin, and others still not ready. Place is incredibly disorganized and has horrible customer service! Transferring all to a different pharmacy.

I have gone to this pharmacy twice today to pick up my prescription. 1st time I was told prescription isn't ready yet ( note: Dr sent in the prescription 2 weeks ago). Option was to wait for 20 - 30 mins or return later. I left and returned 3hrs later... prescription is apparently still not ready! I have been advised to return tomorrow. The level of unprofessionalism is sickening!!!!

The pharmacy here is atrocious. They mess up orders consistently and take forever to handle customers. If they are understaffed, that still only explains the time. The absolute worst experience I’ve had with any Walgreens. It’s doing more to hurt their brand by leaving the store in this state than by just not having one. Will be switching pharmacies to the Safeway across the street.

I have been waiting 6 days for a prescription transfer coming from across the street at CVS. Terrible service from multiple “pharmacist” and technicians. Every single day they said they would have it in a few hours and never actually asked for the transfer. They placed the wrong request and sent it to my doctor instead of CVS. Unprofessional long holds for over 20 minuets.

Waited over 10 mintues to drop off a package. The photo lady saw me but chose to readily ignore me with my package. She instead processed a picture, then checkout the people before even bothering to just take my package off my hands. I highly suggest going to a different drop off location where they attend you a lot faster and acknowledge you are even there waiting.

I won't use them for my prescriptions but over all the staff is friendly and helpful. I also tried to use them to return Amazon packages and one time the helped me print the sticker the 2nd time the lady was rude and unhelpful. So I thinking there could be improvements but over all my go to store if I'm in a hurry. Photo printing area is always up and running!!

This pharmacy continues to be less and less reliable, has been closed for about 4-5 days in the last two weeks… meanwhile another location close by is no more help than this one is by being closed. It’s nearly impossible to get someone on the phone when they ARE open… don’t go here, save yourself the definite headache and fill your prescriptions else where.

Drive thru is often closed- but states the store is closed instead… seriously the worst pharmacy I’ve ever visited. It’s been like this for years with no improvements. The DES office is more professional than this place. Oh !! There was one staff member that actually helped me I wish I knew his name he made up for his teams slack.

Incompetent and sloppy. Techs are not that interested and in doing their work and store always closed during work hours. My doctor sends rxs over and then after two to three days they put it back and no explanation to why? Had to go back to go pick up another med that they should’ve had in the bag with my others. Sloppy inexperienced store.

They close the pharmacy all the time randomly with no notes or anything. It was supposed to close at 6 it is about 3:30 and closed. Update 12/26/17-We have since moved all of our scripts to safeway due to constant issues like this as well as never answering the phone when you need to get ahold of them as well as just not friendly service.

The only reason they get an extra star is because at least they answer the phones unlike CVS on the same intersection. They constantly close without warning or explanation. They have inaccurate dates for refills, and every time I go to pick up my "ready" prescription I'm told it's not actually ready and will be fill "later".

A rapid NAAP covid test is supposed to take about 2 hours to complete. So far I have waited 7 hours and I still haven't gotten my results. I tried calling them, they had me on hold for an hour and eight minutes. Don't waste your time going here, whoever is in charge of this Walgreen's pharmacy clearly doesn't care at all.

I keep calling about my blood presure meds and they put me on hold pick up putvme on hold they pick up hang up the phone on me not saying one word I have high BP and if I don't have my meds and something happens I will be putting you all at fault you had all yesterday to get my meds this is terrible bad service horrible

Use any other location you can. I have no idea what’s wrong with this particular Walgreens and it’s pharmacy, but it’s the reason we no longer shop at any Walgreens unless we have no options. One store can lose a customer for life and this location is the one that did that to our family. Best of luck.

I called twice, first time i was 3rd in line and when it was my turn they will pick up and put me on hold til they just hang up on me,2nd time i was next and they did the same just put me on hold ring and ring til they pick up and hang up on me. Answering phone calls is still part of your jobs .

Don’t know what was going on at that store. Stood in line for ten minutes and no cashier. A line had formed with about 8 people. Two people at the photo place and still no call for someone to come to the front. Nobody up front. This falls on poor management. Shop at another one if possible.

Walgreens never answers there phones and when they finally answer the phone they hang up on you or transfer you to a phone that keeps ringing. Customer service needs more training. Seems like no one ever knows what they are doing here, maybe also need a manager that could help them.

The pharmacy at walgreen at the 51st ave and baseline location is horrible. I have been waiting for more than 30 mins to pick up one prescription. I sat at the drive thru window for several minutes before anyone assisted me. Walgreens corporate office , please look into this matter!

I got my vaccination shot here. The wait was long, but the person giving the shot was friendly, answered any questions I had, and gave the shot so smoothly that I didn't experience any pain from the needle. On the down side, the store itself felt like it could use a good scrubbing.

The pharmacist decided not to fill my pain prescriptions based on his own made up rules. The rule that 2 pain prescriptions cant be filled at the same time. Never heard of this in the many years ive been having these prescriptions filled. Forget this place. First, last time here.

Horrible should be shut down! They keep you on hold indefinitely. When people are sick and have questions about medicine, this practice should be considered criminal. Shame on you Walgreens! Picking up the phone and keeping someone hold is damaging to someone's mental health.

Pharmacy is randomly closed, the pharmacist apparently just leaves. Thanks for leaving a pain patient with no medication over a weekend because you don't know how to keep a schedule. Walgreens is absolutely the worst pharmacy overall and this laveen location tops the list.

The negative reviews here seem to be pointing to the pharmacy. Bad news folks - It is no better at CVS. I found the store clean and the staff to be not only friendly but helpful as well. As always I head in here only needing one item and leave with a dozen or more. :)

Trying to get a prescription refilled but the automated system does not work, it transfers you to the pharmacy which then just disconnects you, and if you try to call and just use the option to speak with someone in the pharmacy or the store it also disconnects you.

Business hours stated that they would be open until midnight. They had the doors closed at 11pm and they can clearly see customers trying to get in. Looks like they were cleaning and closing early. Boo!

Always go to Walgreens for my prescription but this location is awful! No one ever answers the phone and went in person many times to resolve why the meds weren’t ready; days later still not ready.

Worst pharmacy in Laveen, literally will wait an hour in line at the store and then an hour on a call. Employees are great they are just very understaffed. Been like this for the past 6 months now.

7/28/22-There are no shopping carts at this location!!!! Went in to make some purchases and they have no shopping carts. Turned around a left. I an handicapped and need a cart to shop.

Their return policy for cosmetic is really bad and inconvenience for customers. You can not returned unused products to another location, you have to bring them back to where you buy.

Drive thru is mostly fast. I always go between 11am-1pm. Pharmacist has been very helpful and staff always courteous. Always a pleasure to go there and get real customer service.

I’m done using this pharmacy!!! On hold for an hour then hung up on me, drive over there and drive up was closed due to staffing. Worst pharmacy ever!!!

The pharmacy is frequently closed because there’s no pharmacist and they would often not have my meds in stock. So I’ve transferred all my Rx to CVS.
