I have shopped at this location for almost 2 years. The pharmacy is awesome, especially that sweet African girl with the braids. After I pick up my last prescription there, I will not be returning to this store however. I had an awful experience this afternoon by a completely inept store clerk, granted she was older, but she did NOT know what she was doing. She caused utter embarrassment and revealed personal information out loud where others could hear. Not only that, she had to call for approval on a temporary check which has never happened at Walgreens before, and then when she entered it she did not ask for my drivers license or passport number, not even my address. The check would not go through but then there was no error code or anything at all given (I have worked retail and I know is someone has a bad check or prior history of it, some kind of code and phone no. for the customer is going to be provided. The checkout woman was rude and highly condescending. I went to a different Walgreens and the check was entered by the clerk like they normally do it and it was completely fine. I will be getting the clerk's name and reporting her to Walgreen's corporate offices. Update, her name is Maria and they call her "Mary". According to other Walgreen's, she should have entered my identifying information such as my DL # or passport # and asked for my address and ph number. She did none of these things like the previous clerk there had done and the one later today did. Not only did she reveal personal information indiscreetly, she assumed a temporary check was no good and called her manager (never seen this before) and failed to enter all info in the system correctly so that the account numbers could be accurately picked up and approved or declined with a reason code if that were the case. I have been provided with the Regional's name and number and will most certainly be filing a formal complaint against this clerk and location. Will also be taking my business to either another Walgreens or a CVS instead.

I was trying to buy perfume at the makeup counter where the perfume is locked in a case. There was no salesperson at the counter so I alerted Cassius at the main counter that I needed help. He said he would be there in a minute. I waited over 10 minutes as 2 clerks continued to check out people who had just entered the check out line. I finally went and got in line at the main check out. When it was my turn, I told Cassius that I needed perfume from the locked case. He told me to go back to the makeup counter and wait. I told him I had waited long enough and had actually gotten in the main line so I could get served. He told me very rudely that he didn't appreciate my attitude and that he would get to me after everyone else had been taken care of. Appalled by the way I was treated, and to avoid any further interaction with your confrontational employee, I left the store. Needless to say, I will not be shopping at this Walgreens again and employees like Cassius are hurting your bottom line.

This store is really nice compared to basically every other Walgreens I've had the pleasure of going to in the North San Antonio Boerne area. They have good products like NYX Vichy and No7. The cosmetic lady who helped me named Giselle was absolutely fantastic! She went and got something for me upstairs. She was cheery and sweet and greeted every customer with a smile. They were just putting Christmas out and I had a question about an item on sale the manager went all the way to ring it to make sure he gave me the correct price. The store is clean, well organized, and overall well stocked. Overall I have been having a bad week but I felt like a truly valued customer and I was reminded again why I continue to be a loyal Walgreens customer. I hope they keep it up here. They should honestly be the model for the other stores in the area that in my opinion are not up to par. Will make the drive from Boerne to keep going to this location.

If I can do a review without a start I will. This pharmacy I transfer my medication because the Pharmacist Edith is been always very helpful and she care for the patients. But the pharmacist UK has the worst side manera with the patients. The past weekend Friday, Saturday and Sunday I was trying to get my medication for pain I’m a CPRS patient. They keep putting me on hold Saturday I wait for 3 and 1/2 hours . Finally at 4:48 the pharmacist UK answer and in a very rude tone she told me that they will not have the medication until next week. And that I need to wait. And this is the 3 time that I felt mistreated by this pharmacist UK She ask only my name and she apparently knew who I was. Anyway this is the worst pharmacist that in my 63 years and 40 years in the medical field that I knew. Use this Walgreens at your own risk.

Originally I went into walgreens and left a 1 star review because of a terrible experience. But this morning I went to walgreens to pick up a prescription and was absolutely blown away with Iris in the pharmacy. She was amazing and very good at her job. I ran out of my medication and forgot to pick it up yesterday, I was running late to work and was very worried about it but Iris was at the drive thru and quickly helped me and got me my medication and I was on my way. Iris is a great addition to your team and I will definitely be back for her quick and amazing customer service! Great job Iris!

Reasonably good pharmacy but Walgreens shot/vaccine appointment is a joke and should be ZERO STAR rated! I’ve made separate flu and shingles appointments on line the last couple of months and each time it’s a surprise to the staff when I show up and check in then I have to wait til much after the appointment time to get the shot (currently 30 minutes over with no sign anyone’s going to do anything for my shot). What’s the point of making an appointment if the staff continues to wait on patients who enter or drive up after the appointment time???

Update 01/11/2021 amazing customer service by cashier Romero! My favorite walgreens in San Antonio! What started off as a bad experience with walgreens photo app saying my photos were ready when they were not.....ended up being my best customer service experience in San Antonio. My problem was immediately fixed by a wonderful professional employee named Santos in the photo department. She turned my frown upside down. This walgreens is highly rated for customer service and cleanliness.

Never in my life I thought I would have to leave review for Walgreens… Why this location has such an incompetent pharmacy? They never call to tell you they are out of something, there’s never a sign that they are closed or running late etc Why does it take 3 days to get a tube of cream (pre made) that is in stock at your store?! And luckily for me that wasn’t a one time issue Read 1 star reviews before you choose this as your pharmacy

I fail to understand the point of a 3pm vaccine appointment when I was not even able to be seen until nearly 3:40pm. This negative review isn’t for the staff, they were nothing but kind and accommodating. But why is it that the store is allowing these appointments to be made when they don’t even provide their Pharmacy enough resources to see everybody in a timely manner at the allotted appointment time. Do better by your employees.

Been to many pharmacies and I simply love the pharmacy staff here, they work really hard and are very friendly and helpful bunch. From the looks of things the pharmacy has gotten way busier so walgreens send them additional help back there ASAP. I signed up for text and emails alerts which has been great because I now have updates without having to call or waste time in line. Thanks ladies; UK, Iris, Edith for all you do.

Avoid this location if you can. I'll be nice here and say that it looks like their problems arise from being understaffed. The wait at the drive-thru was about 30 minutes per vehicle, including ours, and we were there for a simple pickup. Plus one of the prescriptions we were notified to come get, well, they were out of it when we got to the window. Went to another Walgreens in Spring Branch and had no issues.

I have prescriptions that I need for a surgery and they are temporarily closed with no explanation. I came by yesterday and they said system was down then, today it says temporarily closed. No one will answer the phone. I will not ever use Walgreens for my prescriptions. If I had known I would have had the Dr call it in somewhere else, but system down made it seem like it was not a big deal. Ridiculous!!

Made an appointment to get a vaccine 3 days ago. Arrived for our appointment to be told they don’t have the vaccine in stock. When I inquired why we would be allowed to make an appointment, I was told that they don’t keep track of inventory. The tech offered to check another pharmacy down the road and the pharmacist said they didn’t have any on Friday so they wouldn’t have any today. Very annoyed.

I've always been very happy with customer service up until this year. I had a prescription that needed to be filled that cost $800.00. I explained to them that i did not have insurance and if they could look for other options. They simply told me that was the price. I then went to HEB the following month and the cost was $250.00. No i'm not kidding. Very unhappy with Walgreens - at all!

Most of the staff are extremely nice and kind, however I did notice people at the photo counter being totally ignored and the one manager there who is a man, little bit older with greying hair parted at the side, regular to smaller build, avg height or may have been a bit short is totally rude, judgmental and arrogant. A total a*hole.

Management less that stellar. Two managers walked past photo while my wife and I stood there waiting for our photos. Then the cashier called twice with no one responding. Finally, just went and grabbed the photos and paid for them at the front. Cashier was very polite and apologized twice but clearly had no management support.

This pharmacy does not keep appropriate inventory on hand to fill prescriptions. I get the same medication filled every month for 5 years and often they do not have the inventory on hand to fill it. This is a sign on a pharmacy that does not care about patients and only saving themselves money.

Prescription for toddler sent at noon, show up at 5pm…to be informed that they dont have it !! Did not have the decency or professionalism to contact the parents hours ago so that we could goto another pharmacy or contact the physician to call in a different antibiotic! PATHETIC!!!!!

Very grateful for Walgreens pharmacy staff this week. I have tricare. My special needs son had a special medication that no military hospital could get for over 6 weeks. The Walgreens staff scrambled and got a 2 week supply to prevent a gap and is working to get more. Thanks!

They do not honor appointments made online for vaccines. The pharmacy staff seemed like no one had a clue what was happening at any given time. The pharmacist was very rude. Would recommend either going to a different location or staying away from Walgreens all together.

Picked up my Fed Ex package today from Hermès at the Bellagio (yes they fed ex’d It to Walgreens). I was concerned based on reviews so I called ahead of time. Nice guy on the phone confirmed the delivery very nice guy got me my package. No complaints great experience.

In regards to the pharmacy: why are you working in an industry to serve customers with a horrible attitude? Absolutely disgusting behavior, the woman who administers vaccines. Would not recommend the pharmacy here, ever. Even if it is convenient, please go elsewhere.

I’ve lived by this Walgreens since it was built and it has been the best Walgreens I’ve ever been to. The staff is very helpful especially Mary and Cliff. They are truly the sweetest people and really care about you and make sure you find everything at check out.

Poor communication among staff when I asked a question about some photos I sent to be printed. They were short, rude and did not offer a solution. Pharmacy staff hung up on me when I called to ask them about their hours and the change. Very disappointing.

Very clean and friendly Walgreens. The store is well stocked and has a wide variety of goods one may need. Tons of cold/frozen foods and drinks to choose from. What you'd expect from a hug level convenience store. Very happy and will be back soon.
