Day 1: I went to pick up my prescription at 10:15 pm per when the script status message said it would be ready. I get there and there seemed to be an issue with outdated insurance info so I provided the pharmacist with my insurance card. He was very helpful and empathetic and advised that he was having trouble connecting to my insurance provider but would call me in the morning. Day 2: Well the next day I called to check the status since I had not gotten a call from the pharmacy. Status was that it was fully covered by my insurance and that there was ZREO co-pay, so I went to pick it up. There was this snooty pharm tech saying that she couldn’t release my medication because it rung up for $0.00. I advised her that it was because it was fully covered by my insurance and there was no co-pay. She then said no that’s not right and I can’t give it to you. She put the actual pharmacist on the speaker box (I was at the drive through) the pharmacist -this was not the nice man who was being helpful the night before- this woman stated that she was not going to release my medication because it was ringing up $0.00 and my insurance provider was closed for the holiday. I then asked if I could have my script so that I can take it to another pharmacy. She said no that I would have to call another pharmacy and have them request a transfer. So I call HEB they collect my info and assure me they are going to initiate the transfer request and would give me a call later on when it was ready for pick up. Day 3, I call HEB because my intense migraine that I had from Day 1 had not surpassed. Anyway they had no script on file for me....annoyed, I explained what happened and my reason for the transfer, the pharmacist looks at her screen and mentions oh yes we requested the transfer, but Walgreens has not faxed it over and we have not heard back from them. So here I am with no medication and a splitting headache that will not go away, all because this Walgreens pharmacy refused to let me have my medication that my insurance covered (my expensive insurance, the reason I pay so much every pay day to get low cost meds). How petty to not give a prescription because nothing was being paid to them directly. Horrible experience, I will never use that pharmacy again.

The overnight pharmacist was extremely rude to me for no apparent reason. I will be reporting him, he is a white male with a bald head, I walked up to the register, and it took him 5 minutes to acknowledge me, I was the only person in line, and when he fi ally approached me and I asked him if I could please refill my Diabetic supplies and my insulin he said "I can, but I refuse to sell you your diabetic supplies." I was very confused and thought he might be joking with me, so I laughed and asked again and he repeated that he refused to fill my diabetic supplies and I have no idea why or what his problem with me was. I've been to this store multiple times, and the female pharmacist is very sweet to me, bit this male white bald pharmacist was extremely disrespectful and refused to help me. All I can think is that he thought I was a drug user, he wouldn't even let me show him my Rx ID from express scripts. I will be reporting this man asap. I can't believe he treated me this way without any reason. I will be taking my Rx to a different pharmacy.

This place is ridiculous. It may be the slowest in all of SA but it is the closes to me to get my parents medication. I bought the medication and grabbed a Heineken 0.0 6 pack for my father. I waited and waited in line and when finally my turn the sales rep asked me for my ID. This is Non-alcoholic beer but I did not raise a fuss and went for my ID. The sales rep then went to say she could not sell me the Non-alcoholic beer as her system said it was not in correct time frame for alcohol to be sold. I did explain to the sales rep that not only is it Non-alcoholic but the Texas state law has changed since 9/1 and beer can be sold earlier than noon as it was 11:20 on a Sunday. The sales rep said that her system won't allow her so she could not do anything. Asked the rep if the manager could enter in the product price to be sold as ALL sales stores can enter in a dummy sky for the product to be sold. The rep said no. I asked for the manager and she said no. What kind of customer friendly location is this

This is the closest pharmacy to my house but every time I've been there it's been a horrible experience. The staff is great! They manage to stay positive and polite despite the constant rush. I don't know how they do it, but it's amazing! That said, it's ALWAYS crowded. 6am. Noon. 8pm. 2am.... always. And when they text me to let me know my prescription is ready, it never is. Which requires waiting at least 30 minutes in line to find out. And even when it IS ready, there's always some kind of problem. Either they said it would be a 3 month supply but it's only 2 weeks, or they said it would be $200 but are charging me $3000 (yes, that happened and I went 2 weeks without medication before it was resolved) And if you have a debit card with HSA bank, don't go here! They don't give you an option to use your card as a debit card so you get fined by the bank. That's what tipped me over the edge today after spending 40 minutes there. The people are wonderful, but they still lost my business.

So my son's prescription was sent here from Texas Med Clinic and they said they were out of the medication that was prescribed and wouldn't be able to fill the prescription for 2 days. On top of that they said that the prescription was gonna be $410 after insurance. I called Texas Med Clinic and was told the doctor was going to call the pharmacy directly to see if there any other medication she could prescribe. I asked the pharmacist if this was a generic brand and he said there was no generic brand for this type of medication. The doctor called me back and told me to go somewhere else cause the pharmacist would not give me the generic after talking to him. So yes there was a generic and Walgreens wouldn't fill it. The doctor said they are known to do this. The only reason I chose this Walgreens is because it was late at night and was the closest to my house. I have a sick child at home and these are your practices! Pathetic!

Cashier was pleasant when I walked in. Experience was quickly soared by pharmacy staff. They were very rude to Spanish speaking customer in front of me ... seriously it's San Antonio, front line staff needs to be able to speak Spanish especially in this part of town. Then i waited a good 10 minute before i got any sort of acknowledgment from staff. I know what being busy is like but a little common courtesy goes a long way. Maybe a "we'll be right with you" or " if you'll give us just a few minutes, we'll be happy to help you. " Then when i gave them the slips of the meds i wanted which are kept behind the counter cause of government regulations, it was apparent i was inconveniencing them. Again i know what busy is, but I'm not the government there is no need to be upset with me.

I have had too many bad experiences at the pharmacy at this location and tonight was no different. There is one car in line, I get in the other lane and push the call button. It rings and rings and then hangs up. I push the call button again, it rings and rings, then this asian man I can not see tells me there is one person ahead of me and one person in line, so I need to wait my turn. He then tells me to stop pushing the call button. As I was telling him I couldn't see anyone inside and since no one answered the first time I pushed the call button, I pushed it again. Before I could finish talking to the man with no customer service skills, he hung up on me! Are you serious!?! No customer service skills and rude to boot! I am sick amd tired of this Walgreens pharmacy!

Showed up to pick up my husbands pain medication & antibiotic that was covered under workers comp. They refused to fill even after we gave them all the workers comp information. The pharmacy tech asked me for all the employers info I even gave him the direct line to hr who deals with workers comp he refused to call. He said it could be a couple of days before the medication will be covered. My husband was injured in the job and his finger was broken he doesn’t have days he needs his meds now. They lack an initiative. People no longer want to work and they have no sense of responsibility. Even after everything is given to you in your hand your still refuse to do your part. I would not recommend Walgreens Period

The Walgreens pharmacy’s have ALL gone downhill!!!! Move close to this location thinking it would be better but no. They are INCREDIBLY disorganized! Took them 20 minutes to locate one of my medications and it was found by another employee looking in the same basket she already looked 3 TIMES in and said she couldn’t find it! My neighbor just happened to be there and she too had been waiting for a while and was still there after I left. TIME TO SWITCH PHARMACIES!!!!! It’s also very dirty!!!! The picture is by the pharmacy but there’s trash all over the place.

So disappointed!! Dr sent in my prescription to this location since it was late and my go to Walgreens was closed . The person I spoke to told me my meds weren’t sent in there were no voicemail or electronic prescription sent in . Called dr and the lady called they told her meds had been ready since last night !! Wthhhhh I’m in tons of fing pain !!!! Worst worst place . If you have stuff send go in person to check !!!!! Or take a physical paper . This is some BS people get stuff sent there for a reason ! This location needs to get on the ball !!!!

I tried to buy $600 worth of eBay cards and was denied by manager and cashier. After telling them I had just bought the same amount from a Walgreens less than 2 miles away without issue, I was told the limit is $500, and that it isn't possible to buy more. The machine won't let me, I was told. I have the receipt! Now, thanks to discrepancies within Walgreens policies I have to waste gas and drive around looking for eBay cards to pay an online purchase. Thank you, Walgreens. You get 1 ONLY BECAUSE ITS NOT POSSIBLE TO GIVE YOU LESS.

If the staff knows that the ATM machine is down please put a sign or at least tell the customers. I had to ask when the machine would not give me my card back. That's when the employee stated oh it's not working. I'm like can you put a sign, you would think common courtesy would be used especially since I wasn't the only trying you use the machine. Before it is asked no there was not a line while I waited in line to use the machine.

This used to be a fantastic store and was one of my go tos growing up. But man this place is a dump now. Bums outside, slow customer service both in person and over the phone. Left me on hold for 20 minutes only to hang up on me. Tried calling then back but gave up after another 20 minutes of the automated message telling me that there was 2 callers ahead of me. We need more 24 hour pharmacies, this place has fallen apart.

coming here at night is the worst experience you can never ask for. they treat certain people like trash. they act like you have no right to be there in the first place and start to single you out the moment they think you're there to rob the place or steal items. these people deserve to get robbed at some point because they had it coming. I haven't been here in a long time and I'm sure I'm not missing anything.

Idk what happened but this store has gone down hill. I use to come by after work at night since I get off at 2am. The new cashier some white lady is not all there in the head an seems a bit off. The over night security is there talking to the bums outside inside of telling them to leave the property an tonight there was about 5 of them surrounding the front door area.

They don't answer calls.....they just keep you going back and forth. They finally come to the phone to ask you to hold and then place you on another hold even if you say no. Horrible customer service and honestly I don't think they care because no matter what you need them and they don't need us the customer because there's another customer right behind you.

They usually have prescriptions ready quickly and they make sure to take care of the whoever is at the front of the line throughly. Unfortunately, doing th eww last usually means the line both inside and at the drive thru can take over an hour if there's more than 1 person in front of you.

I have been in hold fo more than an hour to speak to someone on pharmacy. Im at work im trying tp resolve issue of the insurance and contact the pharmacy at walgreens . and my daughter needs her antibiotics shes a 3 year old with a painfull uti. Jeeeeeezeeee.... How upsetting. !!!!!!!

if you have a prescription, AVOID THIS PLACE. there's another Walgreens much closer and they're much faster. my DR accidentally sent my prescription to this one, and the wait inside is about 8 mins. could be more depending on how many people are helping. usually one is helping.....

Went there to get some bandages for my thumb sprain...been miserable all week with pain. Find bandages..ok...go to check out...manager tells me of a hand / thumb brace!! Prayers have been answered. Thank u Jorge M. the manager...or just a savy dressed employee. Godbless.

They do not answer the phone. I've been calling since yesterday 8 pm and it's now 6am the next day and still no answer. Even the store manager said a lot of people complain about them not answer. If you need your meds right away, I recommend you find another store.

Incredibly rude and obnoxious night crew. Manager 'Renee' is snappy and leaves each customer with the feeling that they are an inconvenience. ABSOLUTELY WORST WALGREENS EVER! I'd rather drive an hour than frequent this location.

This Walgreens needs to replace the pharmacy management. The service is terrible and the wait time is always horrendous. Most times there is just 1 or 2 people working the pharmacy. Do not use this pharmacy.
