The customer service at the Hermitage location is absolutely horrible! I try my best to avoid coming here for a reason and that was confirmed yet again the morning of Friday, September 23, 2022. The lady (I wish I had her name- I would certainly post it!) who "helped" me at the service desk had an attitude from the very beginning. I was trying to return some jeans that I purchased from the Mt. Juliet store. Since I actually live closer to Hermitage and was only making a return, I foolishly decided to run in here. Instead of greeting me, she tells me to remove the jeans from the bag. She was wearing gloves, so I'm guessing she didn't want to touch it. Then after I handed her my receipt, she tells me that returns will soon have to be made at the store where they were purchased. I asked her when would that policy start and she said she didn't know.. then why even mention that to me?? Is that why she had an attitude? Because she had to process a return for items purchased at another location? No, because the attitude was there before she even saw my receipt. Maybe because she had to process a return period. She scans the receipt then tells me one pair of jeans was not on it when it clearly was. I'm not sure why it wouldn't come up on the screen after scanning-but if she had taken just a second to actually look at the receipt and match the UPC code to the tag on the jeans..which she refused to do by the way.. she would have known the issue was with their scanner. This apparently required extra steps that she wasn't in the mood for. I said nevermind and I put my jeans back in the bag. I knew this wasn't going anywhere and I don't go back and forth with people. This was a total waste of my time. I should have asked for a manager but I didn't think about that until after I left the store. I drove straight to the Mt. Juliet location (which I should have done initially) and received friendly and professional assistance from their service desk. Although that same pair of jeans wouldn't come up after they scanned my receipt either.....Mt. Juliet's customer service department had enough common sense to see that I clearly purchased the jeans and matched the UPC code from the receipt with the tag!! My return was completed within five minutes and I was out the door. I will continue to patronize the Mt. Juliet location for all my Walmart needs.The service is top notch and worth driving out of my way for.

Absolutely terrible experience with online pickup. Waited over 40 minutes for an online pickup of a single item. Checked in on the app and no one ever arrived. When you call the number at pickup to speak with someone it says "we cant help you right now, leave a voicemail" then informs you the mailbox is full. Eventually had to go in the store for help and no one was willing to help. They just recommended finding "an employee with a walkie" which also did no good. The item was them completed as delivered in the app and I had not received it. I have to assume an employee pocketed the item (airpod pros) because they eventually came out after I stopped someone bringing a pickup to another car and they went back in for 10 minutes and brought it out. The time stamp on the item was for 5 minutes before they brought it out so I have to assume they stole the original order from hours before and went and got another. Every employee also has headphones in so you cannot speak to them or get their attention which is extremely unprofessional and not helpful. Be very weary of using their pickup service and don't expect any employees to help or do anything to assist.

Update- Adding more to this review. I went in today 8/1/2023 to have a mixup fixed that happened after purchasing a couple of gift cards. I went to the customer service desk. The fix ended up being pretty complicated and took a while. I was assisted by Candy and Stephanie. I can't say enough about how professional, kind and patient they were throughout the process. They were able to resolve/repair what had happened and worked very hard at doing so. Thanks SO much for the exceptional customer service to both of them!! Leaving this on my husband's account. My Mother and I went to the electronics department this past Saturday afternoon find a phone cover for her new cell phone. Two men were there to help customers, one a nice older gentleman and a younger man who had the key. We waited briefly for the young man with the key. He was very helpful. He helped us find exactly what we needed and was so nice and professional. This is a pretty good Walmart and usually pretty clean and well stocked. Most of the employees that work there are very helpful, but occasionally you get a bad one, but that's in every business.

This Walmart location is always busy. Seems to have a theft problem lately. The last view visits, I've witnessed shoppers attempting to run out of the store only to be apprehended. The staff here doesn't seem to be friendly. You feel like you are bothersome to them. Don't bother calling the store because no one ever answers the phone.... ever. I get deliver from this location and it is hit or miss. Most of the time I never get everything on my order and have to request refunds. I have all the 800 number twice to complain because I can never get anyone on the phone from the store. I understand mistakes happen or things can get left behind. I try to give them a chance to correct the errors but GOOD LUCK. Management is worse than the staff. I honestly would order or go to a different location, but this is the only location I can get delivery from, and it is usually the most convenient.

Arrived to pickup four items on my list. Found all of them with help for two items from two different very helpful employees. Now the rest of the story: got up to the checkout area. Plenty of scan your own on each end of checkout area. Only one cashier an older lady and was really nice after waiting 20 mins to get checked out. I refuse to do the self scan then get checked at the door on the way out. Walmart you want to keep this policy I will start looking at other stores. Dollar General is starting to get more and more of my business! Update! Walmart store manager called me to discuss the review. She told me that they were trying to hire more cashiers but was finding that difficult in this labor market. I still will not use the scan your own. Sooooo I guess I will be standing in line for my stuff.

This Walmart has a receipt-checker at the door, often at night I’ve noticed, who is EXTREMELY aggressive and drunk on power. She is abusing her power. I use my own bags and forgot to bring them in one shopping trip. I had a buggy full of stuff and a very long receipt worth $220. This vile lady stood there checking through all my stuff about 4 times. She was also not nice while she was doing it. Meanwhile, many people are exiting the store without her checking their receipt. This lady is feeling powerful and is majorly abusing her power. This and this alone has made them lose my business forever. It was AWFUL, I walked out crying even though I paid for everything and did nothing wrong.

It's convenient to where I live, so that's why I return a couple of times per year. Walmart is not the same value it once was (20-30 years ago). I can easily get more for my money every week of the year at any other grocer in the area. The service is off the charts bad (not specifically this store, it seems to be Walmart's corporate strategy). Walmart wants me to be their customer and employee as there's never any checkout lanes open aside from self checkouts. Easily one of the very worst customer service experiences available anywhere today. The only reason to go is if I don't want to wait for Amazon to deliver something.

After paying for my items and attempting to print a receipt, the attached error message popped up on the self-checkout screen. The gentleman working at self-checkout read the error message and asked me to swipe my card again, so I was charged twice. I told him this and he escorted me to the customer service desk twice (and the Money Center desk once). On the 2nd visit, customer service said one of the charges should be reversed in 3 to 5 business days. I asked them for a receipt in case the charge isn’t reversed, and they told me, “my bank statement was proof enough”…doubtful.

The product are often in the wrong place. The prices on the tags are not clear. The prices for the products are often higher than what the tag says. I like that the owner hired many people from different nationality. they have a wide arrange of products. Most of their vegetables and fruit are fresh. they have a variety of many products.customer service is good. One young lady stand out . Her smile was beautiful and she was my ray of sunshine that day.she had a very cute unusual name. Thank you young lady for making my day. She was like an earth angel to me. Thanks

Out of stock of a few items that the app said were in stock. Not enough associates to adequately help people at the self checkouts. Most of which could be solved by just having cashiers instead of solely self checkouts open and only one actual cashier line open. Walmart just keeps attempting to become more and more automated but just keeps failing more and more. Target at least has kept 3 to 5 cashier lines open during peak times on average. Might be worth the extra $0.05 to $0.35 an item disregarding groceries of course but Target does have better quality also.

The only problem I have with this Walmart is that the pharmacy is in the middle of the store so no drive through. But the employees are friendly and the store is clean. Update: Coming up on a year using this Wal-Mart and as of today I have decided that I will be giving all business to Kroger instead. The Pickup and Delivery section of this store is a joke and their customer service is terrible. They never answer the phones and even the Wal-Mart help line cannot get an answer on the phone. Save your money and spend it elsewhere!

Worst experience ever! I ordered a Walmart delivery with express shipping that was an extra $20. Never received order. Also, no one has answered the phone to give me an update on where is my order that has already been paid for. I called Walmart customer service they also said no one was answering and kind you I paid for the order at 3:00. I’ve been calling for hours no answer yet they’re holding my money for my order. So I have my money gone and no food. Completely upset and disappointed!!!! Will not be shopping again!

I order my groceries online for pickup. They forget to put items in here and there but I continued to order my groceries from here for convenience.after my last online order I am finally saying enough is enough! This is the milk I received from my last online order. The expiration date is March 21st 2023 and the date today is June 27th where did they even find this milk from? I buy the more expensive kind of milk for quality and it's 3 months past expiration CRAZY!!

This location had exactly what I needed so I wasn't in there long. It was a challenge finding workers who could assist with lifting heavy furniture pieces. I finally found a gentlemen in electronics. He was new on the job, and couldn't find anyone either. Thankfully he was very kind, and helped me lift the bunkbed so that it could be purchased and taken home. The product itself was very easy to assemble and sturdy. Hopefully they are able to higher more people.

My only grievance with this and ever other walmart is no one, NO ONE NOT SECURITY NOR MANAGEMENT stops people from parking in the fire lanes in front of their stores. I'm not talking about people pulling up and getting stuff loaded but the lazy inconsiderate and elderly that just pull up and park with ABSOLUTELY NO REGARD FOR THE SAFETY OF EVERYONE IN THAT STORE. The store is legally required to make people leave and liable when something does happen.

Only thing EVER open is self check out. I had a shirt not scan and didn't realize it,had security block me at the door and treat me like a thief. After spending $300 and having to scan and bag all my own stuff. Treated like a common criminal over a $5.00 Tshirt. I will not go back in the Hermitage Walmart,won't give them another dime of my money. Maybe if there was ever more than one employee working...accidents like that wouldn't happen.

So three stars is a high walmart rating for me because I do not personally like shopping at Walmart. This is the Walmart closest to my house and it's not a bad location it just tends to fall in the.middle as far as selection, a little higher for cleanliness, buy little lower for staff which don't really seem to care much about anything except what their bosses think or say. My guess is the managers are young here

I will say this is a very clean and nice store. I have been to many many walmarts in my time that is for sure. The sections were pretty well organized and the variety not bad. I do wish they had more of the healthier items I so enjoy, like more kombucha and vegan products, but this is hermitage I reckon. The staff that actually spoke to me were very friendly and we made some good buys from all over the store!

Waited 20 minutes for someone to check my ID and the self check out when she came she told me she didn’t like my attitude and was not going to help me. So I left with a cart full of groceries at the checkout. Terrible customer service. I’ve spent a lot of money there, but no more. 3/6/2023 approximately 6pm grocery side of store

I love Walmart, but it seems like they have gotten to big for caring about their customers that helped build their future and the business. It's almost like their doing away with cashiers and forcing customers to use the self checkout, witch is a shame. I'm sure alot of people feel the same , just don't reach out.

I really like the fact that there were no employees operating checkout lines, requiring the customer to check out their own items. I also really like the line that forms near the exit so the Walmart employee can see your receipt. Hey Walmart, if you don’t trust me to check out my items accurately, replace me.

Grocery pick up is not ok here, in any time frame. Checking in here means you're still waiting 25+ minutes for employees to bring your items out. Calling when you park here does not help the timining either. Just choose another Walmart location for your pick up & deliveries.

Update - still a 3 star but because literally no one wants to help you when you need it. Especially in the jewelry department. Also the workers who are pushing the big middle carts act like they are in charge and will literally ignore customers and run into them.

There's no Layaway plans any longer, they offer financing for TVs and such, this involves interest rates, extra money to be spent for something that is already too high from the beginning. I wanted perfume and couldn't get anyone to help me

Always seems to be well stocked. We buy a lot of gluten free things, and usually these are stocked! This is usually hard to find. Chicken is back in stock, there was a shortage for a while. Everything is clean and tightly. Also a worker

The pick up is ATROCIOUS!!!! Every time I do a pick up I have to wait 15 minutes or longer. Today I am at over 45 minutes because their app did not go through for whatever reason. This is unbelievably adorable service!!!!!

Great pharmacy staff! Very friendly and attentive. Pickup is the best thing since sliced bread!! Never going in the store to shop again. Now if we could just get a drive up pharmacy, this would be a 5 star Walmart!!

This was the first Walmart I found when I moved to Nashville. The store is always clean and fully stocked. The associates have been helpful each I have visited, which is why I've never shopped at any other Walmart.
