I used this dry cleaners' services a couple weeks ago to have a two-piece suit dry-cleaned. The following interaction happened when I went in to pick up my suit. As soon as I entered the store the gentleman behind the counter asked me to remove my face-mask (this was in October 2021, during the pandemic, and I prefer to wear a medical face-mask when I shop). I said I did not understand and he said (their words): "masks are not allowed in this store and the government said they are not mandatory so I want you to remove your face-mask now." I kindly said that I preferred to keep it on and said that I was here to pick up a suit I dropped off last week. He said that if I wanted to keep my face-mask on I needed to take a couple steps back while he looks for my suit. I said that was of course not a problem. When I wanted to hand them the receipt for the suit I made sure to let them know that I would first need to move forward to give them the receipt. I did not want to startle them! The gentleman did not seem too pleased, but then had a look for my suit and gave it back to me and said he could not have it cleaned properly. No apology or refunds were offered (I was asked to pay upfront), and I knew complaining would go nowhere so I just thanked them, wished them a good day and left the store. For info, the dry-cleaning service for the suit was 25 euros. It seems that the suit was sent to a third-party for cleaning as there were different (lower) price labels still attached to the suit when I got it back. I got the suit back a week after I dropped it off. Obviously, I do not recommend this store and I will not be bringing my business there anymore. I brought the suit to a different dry-cleaner in Amsterdam and it was cleaned properly.

YES, I DO have a washing machine myself.... BUT: It dances through my small kitchen... SO: I have to SIT on it, to prevent it from doing its unwanted choreography. Once a month is OK but EVERY week 2 times...NOOOO! GRRRRRRRRRRR !!! Therefore I decided to have it done at this laundry because sitting on a washing machine is NO fun! How nice was it to get to know the people of 'De Eland'. Very good service and always smiling faces. That's what you take home together with your clean stuff. Isn't GOOD SERVICE and a SMILE important in your life? To me YESSS. I also decided to bring my precious clothes for Drycleaning there. Never a problem. They discovered a small hole in a sweater and repaired it for me without extra payment! Maybe I can find one in my neighborhood where I pay 1 euro less but the Service, the Smile AND the fact that they fold my clothes in such a way that I can put it right away in my cupboard is worth much more than this 1 euro!!!! Ok, I admit; I have become an 'ELAND' addict.

Poor service and lack of customer appreciation . I dry cleaned few things there - a winter wool coat and several cashmere sweaters. The coat came back with lint and hairs all over it, hard to reach areas didn’t seem clean. The sweaters still had the unpleasant smell, stains and honestly just looked like they were pressed and put on a hanger, but not cleaned at all. When I asked the owner he seemed dismissive, borderline rude. He said that’s how they always do it. Which tells you a lot about the service. He didn’t apologize or offered to re-clean. I understand sometimes services provided don’t meet our expectations, but cordial customer service and a genuine desire to offer a decent service and satisfy a loyal customer should be at the core of every small business.

Took my clothes for a wash and fold and they told me it would be done by end of day. I showed up 5 minutes before closing, they didn’t know where my clothes were, eventually found them, but they were not folded. Guy told me I would just have to take them in a pile as they were. I said okay, but maybe I can get a discount for the next time because I paid for wash and fold. At this point he tries to convince me that the folding is really just a courtesy, that you really only pay for the washing and drying, and then starts rambling about energy prices being high. Hilarious and disappointing. I guess they aren’t too worried about repeat customers…

Very expensive: €27 for a suit and one shirt. When I came back 15 min later because I found 2 different dry cleaners that charged half that price, they would not refund me because (they said) they didn't have change in the till. When I came to pick it up they didn't have a bag to put my clean suit in as I was by bike, because the government doesn't allow it - not true, because it's bad for the environment - not true you could use a paper bag. Whatever. I'm not coming back and hope I can hereby prevent you from going in the first place!

I certainly felt ripped off, paid over €20 for two machines and when collected clothes a day later, not only were some of the items shrunk, but I was not able to wear any of the clothes because of the way they had just been scrunched up. They did manage to have the work done by when they said, but it was almost not worth going there in the first place, as I now have clothes that I cannot wear! Worst laundry experience ever!!!

Sharon was the most friendly person! We didn’t show up until almost noon, but they still had two peoples full loads of laundry delivered to our hotel before closing. You pay by weight which seemed to be a great deal. We had no problems with the prices at all. Highly recommended for tourists and I am sure the locals love it too! Thank you!

Zeer slechte ervaring, eerst zijn ze het kleding stuk kwijt geraakt en vervolgens zaten er bleek vlekken waar ze hebben geprobeerd de oude vlekken te verwijderen, zijn verklaring: "de oude vlekken zijn er toch uit nu?!" We hebben geen vergoeding gekregen en werden verzocht volgende keer maar ergens anders heen te gaan.GA HIER NIET HEEN!

Nadat ik brand had gehad, hebben ze me hier heel goed geholpen. Ze hebben ontzettend goed meegedacht over de aanpak om het schoon te krijgen voor een zo laag mogelijke prijs, waren super vriendelijk en uiteindelijk is alles schoon geworden!

Lovely people and lovely service, this laundry is in the center of amsterdam which is a very convenient location, prices are fair and we never had a problem despite the other bad reviews, would definitely suggest it, give it a try! ❤️

Needed a small load of laundry washed and dried. They weighed my bag and charged me a reasonable rate, and as I was dropping off at closing, I returned the next morning. All my clothes with nicely folded and the socks all paired.

Al jaren heel tevreden bij deze wasserette vanwege goede kwaliteit, lage prijzen en erg vriendelijke mensen. Zelfs moeilijke vlekken die ik na twee keer wassen er niet uit kreeg hebben ze er in één keer uit kunnen wassen.

Terrible. Told me to come at 17.30 and they only opened the door at 18.15. They also weren’t even ready with my clothes - had to help fold them and on top of that the price was over 20€!!!

Strictly recommended. Price isn't the cheepest in Amsterdam, but the quality is very good. I had lost a hope to clean my T-Shirt but they did it. Staff is very polite.

E9.20 euro for a load of wash and fold up to 4 KG. No self service available. They were able to get me my clothing back in 2 hours. Great job.
