This is my local Waterstones. I've been coming to this store for years, I normally come in once a week with a friend to wander around as we happily chat about what books we're going to buy. I absolutely love this store. The atmosphere is always super chill, the genre sections are insanely vast and the staff are always willing to help and super friendly. On my last visit while being served at the till by the lovely Max, they actually invited me to come along to the LGBTQ+ book club that's hosted at this store, which I really appreciated and I'll definitely be attending! I always recommend this store for book lovers since there's nowhere better to fulfil your bookish needs. 5 Stars All Round For The Waterstones In Kingston!

Excellent service and selection. Lovely large clean shop conveniently located in Bentalls shopping centre, next to the new cinema, with a coffee shop that makes a great flat white. I would rather pay a bit more, order a book from them (email received a few days later that already available to collect) and have a relaxing coffee, than endure the hassle and mundane stress of Amazon and their delivery drivers who just dump parcels in the block lobby without bothering to buzz and deliver to the door.... Yay! Back to old school normal life! Let's support retail stores before they all close on us...

A great place to find books you like and also to enjoy the cafe. Friendly staff members. The quality of coffee at the cafe used to fluctuate a little bit depending on the baristas - a natural variation of Baristas’ skills and experience, I suppose - but I was very happy with the quality as of 12 Aug 2023. p.s. After the review above, I visited the shop again on 20 Aug 2023 and the decaf latte did not meet my expectation :( Based on the taste, I have a feeling that the decaf coffee beans are not so great. The milk was not warm enough which did not help either.

What a shame. I’ve got sugar problem so run to a fruit juice shop to get a drink. My kid was dying for a warm drink from the Waterstones cafe, juste opposite. I could see how happy he was to seat there and chill. I was going to order when I’ve been asked to leave because I had a drink from somewhere else. Excuse me I can understand if I was just seating there and not buying anything, but I wasn’t as I told her I was buying from the cafe No, they ask me to leave. Not a really nice way to treat people

Thank you sofia for going above and beyond Not sure how to make an offical compliment but this store went above and beyond I called in advance and they put a board game aside for me. We drove there from Guildford but forgot my actual card, so i was unable to pay for the board game via Google play due to their machine have a £100 limit on it.she went out of her way while it was busy and we were able to do a manual card payment using the card details.

It's huge book store located in 2nd floor of bentall center. Different ranges of books are available here. Happy to see thousands of books at a place specially in this digital age. Holding and seeing numbers of books at a place give some kind of pleasure . This place also has a caffe attached to it, perfect combination of book and coffee.. happy reading.

Incredible service despite being on a busy Saturday at lunchtime. The man who helped us was super helpful and was super proactive and upon overhearing our conversation about what we were looking for immediately tried to help us find it, great to not have to ask and look around to help. Super approachable and had a great conversation.

I love reading books so this book store feels awesome! It’s spacious and huge compared to some other branches in West London. Good offers on at the moment. It’s inside Bentall’s shopping centre on the fourth floor. They have good range of stationary too. There is a cafe but I did not go there. May be next time.

My daughter loves this book shop and would spend all day in it. Fantastic selection of books from all categories and helpful staff to guide you through. Only drawback is they have removed some reading chairs possibly to encourage you to sit in their coffee shop.

Strictly take away only from 2.30pm when the appeal is obviously the venue and atmosphere. Why venture up and down crowded escalators to the top floor of the Bentall Centre for a take away coffee when there are lots of more convenient places with better service.

Just wanted to say that Sofia/Sophia did a wonderful job of reading to our children today and it was lovely to see someone so passionate about what they do.... And she gave an awesome recommendation for a children's book written by Lemony Snicket.

Very large selection of books and there is something for everyone. The staff here are very friendly and very helpful with the queries. Unfortunately the coffee shop is closed now. The store has an entire section dedicated for Manga collection.

Alex Fodor was one of the best workers in the coffee shop… He works sincerely... On Christmas and birthdays, he would not stop working even for a minute. He does an interview for the new employees… He treats the employees with great

Love this place, recently refurbished with an ace cafe, it still remains the best bookshop in Kingston, and doesn't feel too crushingly commercial. Good recommendations from the staff and a really nice atmosphere.

I looked through the books recently, and today, I found a lot more on my interest subject, so maybe it's worth making a regular pass to see what stock has arrived. It was nice to catch a fizzy drink in the cafe.

Nice big bookshop, great for browsing. However, I did prefer the old shop on this premises, as it seemed bigger and with more distinct sections but I suspect it was revamped to make room for the cafe.

  • Laura McEvilly

Since the renovation, this shop has gotten so much better. It is huge inside now and has so many sections to browse! The children’s section is particularly inviting. Can’t wait to come back!

  • HJ Park

Great book store in Kingston. Has a large variety of books. And also if you are a Pokemon, I would advise going there tons of different types and huge amount of stock.

  • Celeste Lacson

Mangas are a lot in here, there's so much more books to explore than you would think. Sitting in there coffee shop while reading your favourite book is nice.
