My car needed alignment, needed O2 sensor replaced, and traction control needed to be fixed. I live in the west so I called them to book an appointment, I got the car towed to their workshop on time with a mutual understanding that the car will be returned the next day. The next day the told me the car is ready, I come to pick-up the car and paid them cash. While I was driving home, I noticed the alignment wasn't done, O2 sensor wasn't replaced, and traction control was still not working. I bring the car back to the workshop they said that they will look at the car tomorrow because they are looking for after other customers in a very ignoring manner. I leave the car with them. The next day (3rd) day I call them at noon and ask them if they did the alignment, and fixed traction control, Khalid told me they haven't looked at the car yet and will give me a call in the evening when it is done. That evening, I waited for their call and close to their closing time I decided to give them a call myself, Khalid, the guy on the front desk picks up and says the mechanic is test driving the car right now. By the time I got to the shop the car was back. When I test drove the car, alignment wasn't done properly (it was pulling towards left), they had not fixed traction control…told me that they forgot about it, even though I reminded them at noon same day, and they lied to me that O2 sensor that I bought the wrong Oxygen sensor. I told Khalid that it is not aligned he said my mechanic did the alignment, I asked Khalid to test drive the car himself he refused saying he doesn't have time for a test drive and the car may needs a tire rotation. When I asked Khalid what he had charged me $191.00 for, he said it is for alignment and diagnostic. Basically, he charged $110.00 for not doing the wheel alignment and $70.00 for diagnostics when he didn't diagnose anything. He didn't even find out why the traction control is not working as he had forgotten to look at it, it was my own diagnosis that O2 sensor needs to be replaced so I had bough the O2 sensor and gave it to him to replace which he didn't saying it's the wrong part I bought. After that they stopped answering my call. Later, when I changed the O2 sensor myself, I found out that they had broken the O2 sensor connector mount by pulling it violently. I lost $291.00 (inclusive towing cost $100.00) and 3 days by taking my business to these folks. MORAL of the story is that these guys have low morals are just after your money, they are ignorant, feed lies, unprofessional, they don't know what they are doing on top of everything they have the have the worst customer service. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THEIR WORKSHOP.

I arrived from Montreal needing my car checked for general maintenance. Had an outer tie rod, rear brakes and oil change done for a total of 720$. The owner showed me the state of my rusted frame, which my mechanic back home omitted to tell me. He let me know that repairing it would cost more than my car’s worth. Upon asking if my car was worth keeping and how long I had left on it, he said he couldn’t tell me a timeframe but insinuated that when I get back home from my travels, I could sell it for more than I would here. So when he mentioned this I clearly asked “So you’re telling me I could drive back home to Quebec?” (~4500km Drive) to which he said yes. So I went along with the recommended maintenance. Afterwards, I went to an online car community with hobbyists and mechanics. Initially looking for solutions to slow the wear of my frame. Instead everyone unanimously warned me of the danger and to get rid of my vehicle ASAP. I also showed the pictures to another local Edmonton mechanic, the same opinion was immediately voiced. The owner gave me a partial refund for the labor cost but refused to assume the cost of the parts. Extremely negligent for his clients safety, had no problems sending me on a coast to coast drive with my car in its current state. Photos were taken in his shop on the date of inspection.

Brought my vehicle in for an alignment after changing my suspension. My alignment was worse after the work was done, I had to return and have it corrected again. I requested that the journeyman fix it, I then find out that they only have one journeyman mechanic, and that the "tech" who initially attempted the alignment wasn't even an apprentice! Journeyman there is great, wouldn't trust anyone else to do work. Update to reply from owner. Your response to me is very untrue. I was not told about the alignment machine issue until after my vehicle was already in the shop, and I asked why I was waiting so long. I have a spec sheet from your initial "mechanic" doing the work, and it is not properly aligned. I also have another updated spec sheet with alignment from the journeyman. I did not receive a spec sheet initially because the machine was having sending/receiving issues with your printer/computers. That has absolutely nothing to do with properly aligning vehicles. I still blame the original "mechanic". I think you made your business look worse in that reply to my review.

I came in for all four rotor replacement and brake pads, as well as the rear calipers. I also came for a brake bleed and I got to say that my experience at West End Auto Repair was really great! I was happily welcomed by one of the mechanics and guided me where to place my car. The service did not take a while and I don't think they even minded when I watched them work on my car for a while. One of the mechanics also recommended what I should do next for the car, which really helps as he pointed out which part was wearing out or needs to be replaced. I had the parts for the replacement I needed and the pricing for labour is very fair. The Honda dealership charged me about $1k for REAR CALIPER REPLACEMENT, can you believe that?! and this auto repair shop only charged me about $330 for the labour of the replacement that I asked for. 10000/10 would go back here again for many more replacements/repairs my cars will need. We went to Edmonton for a week, and two days into our trip our blower motor on our heater started dying. We called two other mechanic shops in the area and none of them were able to help us before we drove home. We called West End Auto Repair and explained the situation, they were able to work around our crazy schedule and got us in two days later (they offered to get us in that day but we had meetings we couldn't reschedule). We had taken a video of the noise the Jeep was making, the mechanic listened to it for a second and said "That is your blower motor". They ordered the part and replaced it as soon as it arrived an hour later, even though they were closing. The staff was quick, efficient, and super friendly. Would highly recommend this mechanic shop!

My car recently had a recall notice. The dealer completed the recall work and of course, they did a over and above diagnostic review, with a proposed list of repairs totaling1800.00 worth of work, from spark plugs, cabinet filters, to brakes extra. I went to 3 auto shops and the quotes all came in, surprising the same, with the benefits of a oil change included from Midas. I decided to take the car to westend auto (off 215 Winterburn) and the quote was 400 .00 cheaper. The owner and staff were polite respectful and competent. I have just found my new repair shop. There philosophy is.... build trust with a customer so that you know your getting the BEST price and quality work...so you don't have to go else where for quotes...i like that

I had major front end work done on my vehicle the end of June at another shop. After the cold spell in December, I started getting a clunk under the front passenger side of my car. I called to see if I could take it in to be looked at and had an appointment the next morning. They actually took the vehicle in at the scheduled time, listened to my description of the problem, checked it over and had it back to me within the hour. Turns out some bolts were loose and just needed tightening. Customer service was excellent along with the price to fix it. I would highly recommend this business if you are looking for honest, fair, and decent workmanship. I can’t say “thank you” enough.

After calling quite a few places in Edmonton I turned to the internet for suggestions on good mechanics in town. West End Auto Repair came up and I decided to give them a try. On my first trip in they were able to quickly diagnose my AC and power issues in my Ram, they even charged up my battery to full and sent me on my way with no charge. Took my Ram in the following week to get a AC Compressor replaced; that was quoted less then everyone else but also came in under his own quote the previous week. Thank you West End Auto Repair.

So I brought my car in to get my coolant hose changed because I had a hairline cut so it was leaking antifreeze. Which they changed only to get home and realize it still was leaking. Brought back changed my clamps on the hose. Still having problems only to go back in today and to be told that there was a Crack on my water outlet connector him knowing the reason why it kept occurring and only brings it to our attention now knowing the problem but failed to tell us the truth. So yeah very disappointing

I Definitely highly recommend this business! I called and they got me in ASAP, gave me a fast diagnosis, fixed my car right away and stayed open an extra 2 hours for me because I worked late and needed my car. He gave me a really good price for all the work that I needed done. Not to mention he was super friendly and honest. I was also having a hard time with transportation and he even offered me a ride! I will 100% be bringing my service to this shop next time I need something done to my vehicle.

I've never been to a place where they refused to install a part... because the car didn't need it. The car had a leak on one of the two power steering lines, but I bought parts for both lines as I didn't know exactly which one(s) had the leak. The mechanic inspected the other line, and knew that it was fine. Same goes for another instance where I bought an extra tie rod part that was unnecessary. Saved me money, and just said it as it is. Very fair prices, and solid service.

I came in because my battery was being drained overnight. They were unable to find the issue and said I needed a new battery. I have had two other places test my battery with a load and it has come back with perfect function. It turns out my rear view window wiper motor was draining my battery by pulling 6amps because it hadstopped working. They did not find the issue but charged me for the clean diagnostic and my battery died the next night. I will not be returning

Helped me out huge when i was in a major jam. I was travelling from Saskatoon to edmonton. Car had troubles half way between lloyd and e town. I got towed in. Called them Saturday AM at opening. Told him my issue. He got the part and charged me same price NAPA was quoting me. Squeezed me in and had it fixed within 4 hours. Car runs like a gem again. I was so worried about getting a fix and getting back home for work. He made it very easy to get my repair. Thank you

These people are big big lier, I asked over the phone for full synthetic oil change though they asked me my car and they told me 69.99 $ once I reach they put regular oil from barrel I asked why not from sealed bottle they start talking here n there..after they charge me 89.99 by saying u have van and it takes more than 4 ltr. And when I check oil change due mileage it was of regular 5000 km due. Means they put regular oil. Liar people, not recommended.

Very awful customer service. The dude is very rude. Asking for an Alberta inspection. The dude said we will see what we can do. My goal was to look for a place to do a safety inspection ASAP. My question was simple: "Can we do this today" his response was drop it off and we can see what we can do. I said please I need a response. He said if you don't want to drop it off that's upto you.
