dr. Rebeca is unprofessional, incompetent and disrespectful. This dr. should be kicked out and her license should be cancelled for using her position and job to humiliate people. I came to westgate medical centre on monday at 5:40pm and the receptionist recomnded dr. Rebecca to see and advised me to wait for 10 minutes and just one person ahead of me. I came from work to westgate medical crntre sick and tired seeking medical treatment but that unprofissional dr. Rebeca kept me waiting for one hour and a half from 5:40 till 7:30pm during that time i asked the receptionist planty of times when I will be the next even the medical centre ran out of people for 10 mintues and never called my name ? She kept me waiting to humelate me as dr Rebeca hates Muslim people. After give warining to the receptionist that i will complain her then dr. Rebeca came to see me without appology or showeing empathy even doesn't how to prescribe medication. such a disrespectful doctor doesn’t respect her patients time, I came from work night time sick snd tired and my family was waiting for me to get the dinner ready but that dirty minded Rebeca was enjoying her time keeping me waiting just to humiliate muslim people such a dirty personality. Where is her manger must email me urgently and further complain will be submitted.

I attended this clinic this morning. I haven't been in since restrictions have changed, which now allows people into the clinic as opposed to calling to say you are there. They were quite busy which seems to be the norm for most clinics these days. There was an old couple in front of me who were a little bit confused and anxious about where they needed to go next. They were looking for someone to help them when they spotted the receptionist Michelle. She asked them to wait a minute whilst she finished what she was doing and then came around to speak to them face to face (without the plastic screen which makes hearing difficult at the best of times let alone when you're old) Michelle treated them with the kindness and caring that seems to lack in so many people these days especially in Covid times. She took the time to listen to what they needed and helped them to where they had to go to. They were so thankful to her and it obviously made their visit far less stressful than it could have been had they not received her help. With all the negatives and harshness going on in the world at the moment it was so nice to see someone go out of their way to help this couple and restore some faith in humanity!

I use to come to this medical centre up until we moved and also because a complaint I made to the manager about one the GP which is a seperate matter. Anyways I’m writing this review because.. I was trying to book an appointment the other day to see a doctor because my usual GP wasn’t available. Because I haven’t been to Westgate MC heaths rd since 2021, I had to go in and update my Medicare card details etc. which was fine, i would have done it upon going in. But I ended up cancelling and lucky I did because I checked their website and for some reason the receptionists forgot to tell me that returning patients who haven’t been to the centre in 2 or more years have to pay a $100 returning patient fee and new patients have to pay a $100 consultation fee . It says it on their website in bright red. But the receptionists don’t bother telling people over the phone even though they have seen my record saying that I haven’t been there in a year or so. So glad I cancelled because I don’t have the funds to be randomly told to pay for something that’s $100 out of the blue to see a doctor.

Called at 9:15am to book a phone appointment. Was told I would receive a phone call anytime between then and 4pm, so I structured my work day accordingly. Called at 3:25pm to confirm I was still receiving a phone call today as I had not yet been contacted and was advised that I would be called between 4pm - 5pm, the only time of the day I scheduled a work meeting based on the information I was provided that morning. When I raised this with the receptionist, she had little to no care and got frustrated when I advised that this new time frame did not suit me, I appreciate that a Doctors clinic is a busy place and things can come up, however you are made to feel like a number and not a person. The doctors themselves are great, which is the only reason I have stayed all these years. However, your rude receptionists, the way you structure your phone appointments and excessive wait times when you have scheduled an appointment are the reasons I am looking for a new doctors clinic. How many more 1 star reviews and complaints do you need to receive until you attend to these issues?

After one staff took in a walk in appointment 1 minute before me, the other staff told me they are not taking any walk ins (didn’t even check the system) probably because I said I need to register (she obv did not want to register me). After I mentioned the other staff literally just took a walk in, she said no she had an appointment. I reiterated that I literally heard the other staff say “do you have an appointment” to which the patient said no but she wants to see Dr X to which the staff member said, “sure, it won’t be long”. After I said this, the staff member then said “well you’ll need to talk to her, I am not taking walk ins”. No care for patients whatsoever. I never go to the DRs but today I am feeling very ill and know I need medication to get better. This is why I don’t go to the Drs. Rude and do not help.

If I had written this review 6-8 months ago, it would have been one star maybe 2. But I have been working with Dr Farha Hussein for the past 6 months on a chronic back pain issue. She has linked me to pain management, a neurosurgeon, and a rheumatologist. In the time I have been in Australia, I have never had an experience where a GP followed things up even when I was not with them. She has been attentive, understanding and has listened to me. I am having surgery to fix my back in the next couple of weeks and I believe 100% that any doctor other than Dr Farha would not have been persistent and followed through. If she leaves, I will follow her anywhere. I see in reviews about the wait times at the clinic and I also have experienced the same, but the care I have received from Dr Farha trumps the wait time,

I've been seeing Dr Pathirige for sometime. Not because she is good but because her availability suited me and she knows my medical history. Every time she is running late. I usually get the first appointment to reduce the wait time but she always arrive 45+mins late, the reception do not inform patients the doc is running late. Two times after waiting for more than one hour, I went to the reception and asked if the doc was in and they said they've tried to call her and she is not picking up the phone. And they were not sure if she was going to show up at all. So after taking time off from work to come see the doc (i suffer from a chronic illness) i didnt want to go back home and had to see a different doc. The medical center is really unprofessional and I would totally avoid this place.

Extremely busy. 1 star for reception, I have spent the last 2 hours trying to book an appointment, I'll be on hold for around 20 minutes only to be hung up on after I get through and start talking to someone. Then I have to call again and be back to 9th in the queue. I turned up on time for an appointment a few days ago, then had to wait over an hour for my daughter with fever to be seen by a male doctor I forget his name. It's very tricky waiting so long with kids, only to be told she's fine. However I would give 5 stars to a different female doctor I saw yesterday, great with my 2 daughters who had flu, listened and believed what I was saying, she tested for flu as I requested. Most doctors I've experienced do nothing except say your fine and try to get you in and out asap.

I have been with this medical centre for years. What use to be a very good customer service, is far from what it use to be. You guys have really dropped the ball. Have made over the phone appointments early morning each time, and had nobody call back after making the appointments. Called the centre and wait 20 to 30 mins each time, and also been hung up on a few times during the long wait. Then finally get through and ask why nobody called me back? This is now 6pm in the evening. Get told ok a Dr will call you, so keep your phone with you. Still no Dr call back the end of the day. Rebook next day, still no call back from the drs. What's wrong westgate medical centre? Has your system failed, or has your staff got zero care for the patient? So disappointing !

Been attending for over a decade and recently it has been awful. A receptionist there named Jazz is absolutely horrid. She is rude , argumentative, arrogant and does not listen to a word you say. She is not only disrespectful but has the most contemptuous attitude towards patients and phone clients and even other experienced staff members … Westgate always had lovely helpful staff but it’s clear now they no longer care about their patients if having to go through her to be cared for is what they’re happy with. Arriving in a most vulnerable condition the LAST thing you need is a rude offhand argumentative person to be confronted with. I have had 3 face to face encounters and 2 phone calls with her and from now on will not have anything to do with her.

Receptionists at this clinic needs to be taken through a customer service course. No sick patient wants to go through a frustrated and angry receptionist. Dear Jenny, please learn to be nicer, if you hate your job, quit and reconsider career options but patients are not animals. I met with Dr. Rebecca Li, I am surprised because most GP’s at this centre are pretty good. Dr Li, if panadol and neurofens would work for severe flu and cough why would sick myself drive to see an incompetent doctor to be told the same thing. I have not stopped coughing in past 36 hours to a point where my stomach hurts and cant eat anything. You dint even prescribe me a cough suppressant. Did you even bother to read my medical history?

I would give 5 stars for the doctors here but 4 stars deducted because of your receptionist’s behaviour. Michelle - rude, arrogant, cold, pathetic, insensitive & absolutely the worst receptionist I have ever come across. Person like you suits to work in a prison not in a medical facility where empathy is the Pre-requisite which you unfortunately know nothing about. Let me tell you, you don’t own the joint in fact lowest in the hierarchy in the medical practice. . Get off your high horse & treat patients with respect. Learn some customer service skills from the lovely Drs. around you & take a chill pill. WMC’s Management must be suffering from shortage of staff to have hired someone pathetic like you.

We made an appointment with Feda eqbal for 20 days old son at 2.10 pm.we waited till 4.00pm .when we asked them what’s happening, ans was he is in the meeting .Then miss receptionist was about to make my appointment staright away with other doctor which i never received a call .Can you believe in such a inhuman behaviour that too in medical centre. Such a horrible experience.Such a pathetic service by the owner doctor. Will never recommend anyone to him.This is not my 1st time he did this with us ,once before also he was at lunch for one hour and receptionist still booked me during his eating hours to wait for his lunch to finish Why to fill his books when he can’t manage those..Disgusting service

They seem to have replaced the friendly staff on the front desk with rude , arrogant women who will have you leave in tears.. and when you complain it falls on deaf ears. Took me 4 complaints to my GP and the front desk about the horrible servixe and rudeness to be told after 6 years of being a client im not welcome back.. The doctors that have been round for years there are great 10/10 the new administration staff have run this business into the ground.. when this place has barely anyone return, the disgusting women on the front counter will be able to explain why.. gets a cert 1 in administration and everybody they speak too arent worthy of respect

Not even worth 1 star. The staff are rude, inconsiderate, and you can hear them talking about patients who are sitting in the waiting room. They never pick up the phone in a timely manner and you'll find that you are constantly being cut off on the phone. Went in with stomach pain, nausea, vomiting and shortness of breath and instead of keeping me safe within the clinic they tried to send me to my car. WITH MY SHORTNESS OF BREATH. They have a duty of care and this does not fulfill that obligation. They refused me a place to lie down when I requested one due to my nausea and pain. There is a failing standard at this clinic and they don't even care.

I’m very surprised by the other reviews about this medical centre as the experience I had today was nothing short of phenomenal!.. Emma one of the receptionists was very polite, friendly and caring, booking me in at very short notice and working hard to get me created in the system quickly to ensure a quicker wait time.. within a short wait I saw Dr David and his care and knowledge was excellent!.. I went in with no idea of how to handle my ailment and left with a solid plan to assist me in my recovery inclusive of a bulk billed referral plan and hope for a pain free future! Thank you so much team Westgate medical! Keep up the great work!!!

Very poor service. Receptionist very rude. Waiting for 1.5 hours to answer the phone but nothing happen. I arrived to medical and i asked them IS YOUR PHONE WORKING OR NOT? She said its working but every day we received 3000 phone calls!! so we can’t answer all the calls!! Is here EMBASSY???Funny thing is when i called medical said YOU ARE NUMBER 5 IN THE QUEUE and still waiting for 1.5 hours.Another thing is during waiting time i watch then then didn’t answer any phone calls.This is not the way to run medical business. If you need to hire more staff do it for people’s convenience!! This is not a NON URGENT business. SOOO RIDICULOUS!!

Called up first thing in the morning to get an appointment with my GP. Told to come in at 9am. Spoke to the reception chick as the self check-in wasn't working ..yep, everything fine. Please sit down. 30 min later haven't seen my GP come out. Go back to the reception to enquire and the receptionist refuses that she has ever seen me or I even have an appointment. Checks the computer and my GP does not start work for another 4 hrs and my appointment has been booked for next day. No sorry, no apologies for wasting time. These people need retraining or find jobs that suit their low level of training and careless attitude. Disgracefull.

I have been going to this clinic for years and rarely do I get seen by the doctor within 1 hour of the original appointment time. I find getting in about 45 minutes late for your appointment seems to work best for someone like me who suffers from PTSD and can't sit around a crowded waiting room for 1-2 or even 3 hours at a time. I wouldn't bother attending during peak times, even off-peak times have atrocious delays. Even being the very first appointment for the day sees a 45+ minute delay for no disclosed reason. Doctors are nice and professional, however due to the wait times it is clear I may need to look elsewhere.

Dr Mariam is a professional, driven and genuinely caring doctor. She was very thorough and her comprehensive diagnosis is the reason why we found out about a terminal illness in very early stage. If it wasnt for her deep and rigorous diagnosis, we would have found out the problem too late. I am very grateful and blessed to have met her. I would recommend her to anyone who wants a doctor who cares and is kind, friendly and compassionate. Needless to say we will be going to her and thank her for her great work. She is a true asset to westgate medical centre team and her hard work doesnt go unnoticed with her patients.

The worst receptionist you can find here is a lady name Michelle. You are working in a medical environment, the least you can have is politeness towards people that speak to you. I have dealt with her 3 times I believe (unfortunately) & those 3 times she was nothing but rude. Try to learn to listen more & talk over customers less. Other receptionists that work there are okay compared to her. We are a regular in this medical but that lady is so unwelcoming with her tone, I think we are better off to another medical. And I do believe there's always a room for improvement & in her case is a lot of improvement.

Honestly the worst practice I have been to. The receptionists are plain rude. You could spend hours on the phone being number 1 in the cue. Called on another phone at the same time and numbers were going down. How does this make sense? Once asked what took so long, they say with an attitude that they are busy. If you cannot talk to people nicely and hate your job, do not take it out on other people. I do praise Dr. Dina as he is the only one I will see. He’s very hard to make appointments to see, but a fantastic doctor! As for the other staff I cannot say the same. Disappointing.

Worst customer service I ever seen, booked appointment and came early to fill out registration as a new patient took me 15 minutes to finish while I know they could just send me a link to do it. ( Which they done when I left ) . after that they told me there were 3 patients before me what a joke so what's the point of appointment if people can jump the que receptionist said 2 came earlier than their appointments and one walk in . Today I've been in the phone for an hour do far and in the 1st on the que.. I feel sorry for the drs if they really care .. one star is over rated.

Too busy to do a form for me because they didn't do it properly the first time. Was told it was emailed. Then told to do another appointment. Then nothing. Moved interstate and had to call a bunch of times just to be told "oh it'll take me like 30 minutes to do it, maybe you should find another doctor I don't have time." The form is about me having a severe reaction to the covid Vax from Pfizer and being off work for over 3 weeks in November. Plus I still have ongoing heart issues. Now My bills are behind and they can't be bothered helping me. Absolutely pathetic.

Never have I experienced reception staff that are so rude and hard to deal with. It’s funny you ask people to be polite and respectful when it is not being applied by the staff expecting this when dealing with patients. The operations of this clinic are the biggest issue here which is a shame when the doctors are so good, the way the staff are dealing with patients is causing more harm than good, something drastically needs to change here. As a medical receptionist you deal with vulnerable people and I think the staff are forgetting that in their exchanges.

Been coming here for a few years now. Doctors are great! BUT the receptionists are SO rude! They need to get rid of them and hire new ones (I’m more than happy to work there) all they are is miserable! Don’t like your job bloody leave! Also, PLEASE PLEASE fix your phones! In queue for 30mins and was caller no.2 and they hang up on me. Called back and waited 40 mins just to be on told that they can only do walk ins… DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS AND YOULL GET MORE STARS. Been coming to this clinic for over 8 years now, yes the wait times are a pain sometimes, varies from a half hour wait to 1 hour wait, and have to say over the time I have come across a lot of receptionists that have been rude, or in my opinion should not be dealing with the public. DR SINA NIKNEJAD I will recommend he is great with my child, and takes the time to find out what is wrong when my family is unwell. DR ARASH SAMADI is also another dr I will see if I am unable to see my regular dr, both drs I will recommend to anyone.

Thank you for your excellent service and prompt helpfulness by all the reception staff. Michelle was extremely helpful in solving issues and I would recommend this clinic to everyone. During these busy times it is nice to be served by intelligent lovely receptionists and Michelle ticks all the boxes when it comes to friendly, quick and helpful medical staff, she genuinely cares to make your visit a seamless one. A great medical clinic. Dr Marisa has always provided thorough medical care. I couldn’t recommend highly enough!

It’s been about 10 years that I have been seeing Dr Samadi and have had very positive experience with all my visits. He is very caring and great at his job which is very important for me as a patient. I wanted an experienced female Dr as well for PAP smear and pregnancy and Dr Samadi referred me to Dr Manjula. Dr Manjula was so kind and supportive during my pregnancy that I felt extremely lucky and safe. I will never forget that and always grateful for her support .

Very poor service. Takes more than an hour even if you book the appointment. I am sorry but I don't understand the concept of booking an appointment if that doesn't even occur on that time. Do these Dr. Think that we have all the time in the world just wait for them to see us. Yes indeed that's why we come to see them but hey appreciate if time is time. Can't be bloody every time more than an hour wait. Specialy with children. They don't have that much patience.

I had an appointment with a doctor for my 3 year old son, she is a new one. Dr Marisa Harvey. She accepted my appointment via the app for telehealth. The appointment was booked for 10:00am. I waited until 1:00pm then rang the centre. They had told me she had left the facility to go home, as she does not take patients she doesn't know and left me on the system just sitting there. Where the is the doctors ethics in this situation ?

Very disappointed.. I rang the clinic at 7:00pm asking if I can book an appointment, I was told no appointments available only walkins.. My 2 year old is down with temperature and rushed to clinic at 8:00 pm , receptionist says we don’t take new patients.. Wasted my time driving with my sick daughter which could have been told on phone. I don’t understand why can’t they see new patients coming all the way as walkins.

I have spent... A while... Looking for a GP. I found a really lovely Doctors here. He is clearly very kind, and if he had the time and resources available, I do believe he would have helped me. The current system is not working (nationally). I have been looking for a doctor to take me on for three years, and I have MCTD. All in all, he was one of many rejections, but the only one who treated me like a human being.

Made a drs appointment at 9.20am seeing as the drs opened at 9.00am I thought it shouldn't be too much of a wait. I waited 45 mins and when the dr finally called my name I seen him for under 2 minutes to which he simply said I dont know maybe come back in a few days no answers at all. Straight away booked with another dr and am recieving tests for a suspected blood clot. Dont waste your time

Flawless record for RRS - Rude Reception Staff. My apologies but calling out extremely rude receptionist Jenny who throws tantrums as if she runs the place. I understand being a receptionist could be frustrating but if you don't like it then do something else to pay your bills. The receptionists at this facility are consistent with only one thing i.e. their rude behaviour.

She has a very RACIST attitude towards non aussie patients, what a shame that this medical centre still has this lady working for them. very poor service, Unprofessional, waited for over 15 min to speak to a receptionist who hung up abruptly. 2 days ago had consultation with Dr, suppose to get med certificate that day, but did not arrived after 2 days, called back to requested the same. waited over 15 min, without getting help from staff, she hung up on me after speaking with me for 1 min.. Pathetic.

Worst customer service, Doctor's clearly don’t care about patients feedback. This medical centre is clearly taking on more patients than possible, the phone lines are always busy 24/7 and off the hook. if your sick today, you must wait weeks to see a gp. I called the reception to check whether I can come in to see a GP. They confirmed the availability of GP and told me to come in. When I reached there, they refused to take me in as I am a new patient. They said new patients need to book online. They should have told me this in the first place when I called them. Not a good experience with reception staff.

Great doctors and receptionists, every single visit is a pleasant one ( as pleasant as visiting doctors can be anyway), hubby took little one for a visit today. The doctor was very nice, great approach to the little one and even offered a candy at the end of the visit. How nice is that ☺️. Thank you West Medical Centre Team

Don't go here. Seriously. My family and i have been attending here for 10-15ish years and its severely gone downhill recently. No one answers the phone within a reasonable amount of time and when they eventually do they're abrubt and unprofessional. We've had to wait over 4 HOURS for a phone appointment with a doctor as well.

Staff r extremely disrespectful and have no respect, very aggressive way of talking to there patients. The doctor I see is very good and happy with him, but the clinic it’s self is horrible. Went to this place last night, waited for more than an hour which was fine coz we did not have an appointment. Then when we finally saw doctor Sina, had like a minute appointment with him and he was like, your ok just take panadol. Great service doc! Maybe i need to wait for 2hours next time to have a 2 min appointment.

The doctors are very good here. They listen to your problem patiently and give you proper advice. They all know their duties and responsibilities and take proper care of their patients. Sometimes you have to wait for your turn because the clinic is so busy. But all the doctors and staff are doing a great job. Thankyou.

They call themselves medical professionals...we have been waiting in cold for 1 hr for a blood test..no seat or nbers given..no communication from staff.. People with kids , sick people and older are waiting for hours before they can get in.. Go to other places in area..avoid this as much as you can.. worst exprience

Always have to wait around an hour after my scheduled appointment time. On one occadion, waited in my car for 45 minutes after checking in, went inside to see how much longer and the receptionist abused me for being late. Receptionists are always rude and dismissive. I just rang and was on hold for half an hour where the machine kept telling me I was called number 1 in the que the whole time.. this seems to be the norm with this clinic lately.. they don’t bother to answer the phones. Doctors are ok if you can get in to see them.

The young asian girl and the older Indian woman is very rude and loud never when l call or come in this is not a good place to come when you sick and get treatment like this from unhappy and angry staff

Shame on staff at this clinic. They discriminate against medical excemption. Medical exceptions are for a medical reason. Been going there for over 20 yrs and seen same couple of male doctors for so long. The lady doctor that I was going to see today wouldn't except you unless you wear the face mask.

Worse reception I ever had. Have to wait hours to speak to the staff and reception staff is very rude. It’ happening every single day. Even I tried to call at 8am when they open still long waiting in queue which doesn’t make sense. Simply means staff doesn’t answer calls and let people wait in queue.

Dr Saleemi and Dr Fotakis are very good, can't recommend them enough. The clinic itself is really hard to get through to though, for example I've been trying to call for half an hour to change my appointment and I just keep getting a busy signal. I recommend using the online service where applicable.

I was over the phone almost 45 minutes no one answered then I went there to book my appointment over the counter again I contacted them to make sure they were really busy or not, they weren’t busy at all 2 receptionist were just talking to each other, shame on you the owner of the clinic shame

Terrible place. This morning my mother in law was not directed to any doctor by the rude receptionist and even not allowed to take a seat inside till the ambulance arrive. We had to call the ambulance and then she has taken to Werribee Mercy Hospital. Will post the whole story asap.
