After 2 years suffering with stiff neck and shoulders leading to headaches and migraines - trying lots of various treatments, I discovered the Headache Clinic run by Antonia at Wimbledon Physiotherapy Clinic. The first visit consisted of a full-on 90 minute consultation where Antonia listened, asked questions and took copious notes about my experience, before starting some hands-on assessment and initial treatment. I went away with some basic exercises to come back the following week. I've been visiting semi-regularly now for a few months and thanks to the treatment I receive at these visits and the work in-between, I'm in so much better shape than I have been for the last 2 years. The frequency and intensity of my migraines have reduced significantly. My neck and back tightness has improved immeasurably (although this is actually something Antonia CAN and has measured). And I now very rarely wake up with the headaches that were previously a daily occurrence. The staff are always incredibly polite, friendly and helpful and at every session I feel like my condition is fully understood and that I'm treated with real empathy and a focus on achieving improvement. I'm so thankful to everyone at the clinic and it has become my go-to physiotherapy clinic.

I recently had a course of treatments at Wimbledon Physiotherapy Clinic for an injured ankle. Over the course of several months I had regular appointments with Sophy who was very professional and clearly very knowledgable. Not only did Sophy assess my injury but also gave me incrementally more challenging exercises each appointment in order to rehabilitate my ankle. Sophy was also very helpful in not just dealing with the injury which caused me to need physio but also in educating me in general on how to maintain good strength and balance in the lower body. After each session I would get a summary email containing all the useful info and exercises I needed to complete in order to maintain progress. I always felt that Sophy was genuinely concerned with my recovery and not just another patient to get in and out of the door as quickly as possible I made a full recovery and thanks to all the additional help and info from Sophy I feel like I am stronger now than I was pre-injury.

I strongly recommend this practice and Megan in particular who has been my physiotherapist. I have had years and years of back-pain that comes and goes and issues with my SI joint that has prevented me from running and doing other activities that I enjoy (like being able to get up off the floor in seconds rather than minutes). I have seen plenty of Physios before and I have seen chiropractors and acupuncturists in the past that have definitely helped but always proved to only give short-term relief before the same issues would occur later down the line. Megan is professional, conscientious and has a no-nonsense approach (plenty of homework + exercises which have all helped). My core, my posture and my general all-round strength and mobility have come on leaps and bounds and others close to me have noticed also. Strongly recommend Wimbledon Physiotherapy. The other staff at the front desk are incredibly friendly and efficient too.

After an ACL Reconstruction and Meniscus tear repair in October ‘19 I initially waited on NHS Physiotherapy, however after 6 weeks with nothing I knew I needed to get started. I found the clinic through Google and was able to book an appointment for the same week. Throughout my 10 month programme with the clinic I felt supported, especially during the COVID impacted months where usual practices just weren’t possible. Having the opportunity to have online appointments and a full home programme of exercises every 2/3 weeks was fantastic and really helped move me along in my recovery. The content of the ACL rehab programme was excellent. It made it clear where I was in my recovery and what I needed to improve on in order to move onto the next stage. This, along with the encouragement of both Emily & Dani (who are fantastic) helped keep me motivated throughout my recovery and get me back to where I want to be, on the football pitch.

I visited this place to get treatment for my headaches the treatment from the specialist gave me new debilitating symptoms after a few visits and they still linger to this day. When I mentioned this they had nothing helpful to say and sounded uneducated. So I left and visited a chiropractor instead and I am doing abit better now. Dont bother apologising, this clinic has made my situation 10x worse than it was I went for relief and came out worse because of your 'treatment' they are lucky I did not take legal action against them, crazy to think they can just make you feel worse and get away with it when confronted they couldnt give me explanations basically told me to go back to my GP. Take a long think before you decide to see the 'headache specialist'

I sustained an injury to my left knee shortly into lockdown. I managed to organise a Zoom consultation with my Consultant and following an MRI he referred me to Wendy to work alongside him whilst undergoing some ostenil injections, . 4 weeks into the treatment Wendy believed the diagnosis may have been incorrect as no improvement was being seen.. She asked the consultant to see me again and upon the 2nd MRI a different injury was discovered!. Wendy is by far the best physiotherapist I have come across, she is thorough, very knowledgeable, extremely professional and a really nice person. She has given me tremendous assistance and encouragement, and despite the fact that I am far from recovery, she assures me that I will recover my walk fully.

after tearing two ligaments in my ankle i went to see Antonia at Wimbledon Physio. She was very positive and welcoming and straight away noticed that my ankle was worse than i had first thought, which pushed me to get an MRI scan and find out the extent of the damage. this was vital as i would have likely made it a lot worse if i had not done this. after the full MRI result Antonia worked with me for months to ensure the ankle healed properly and that i could go back to running again. taking it slowing we worked through exercises building the strength and flexibility back into the ankle. I would highly recommend Antonia and Wimbledon Physio.

I had Sophy treat me for issues with my hamstring tendons due to cycling overuse and not resting. After banning me early on from walking and swimming activities (which I honestly needed to hear as I wasn’t resting enough and making the situation worse), Sophy popped me on a rehabilitation plan which has helped rebuild my leg strength slowly and progressively. She took the time to really tailor the rehab plan and also include other workouts so that I wouldn’t be bored (because I cannot sit still). Sophy’s a super friendly face at the clinic and will tell you what you need to hear, even if you don’t like it haha. Thank you.

I can’t recommend Wimbledon physio more. I had pain in my shins having re-started running and training for a marathon. They made it easy to get appointments that suit and fit around work (later / earlier available), and everyone is friendly and helpful. Sophy listened to my problems and concerns, provided me with a range of exercises to do in the gym and at home, and gave me additional running tips as I complained about other things. 10 weeks later and I’ve got next to no shin pain, a maintenance plan to continue strengthening the right muscles and rehab exercises that slot into my daily routine. Thank you so much!

  • Thomas Kingett

I can’t rate my experience highly enough. I have been to a lot of physios over the years dealing with many issues and I have to say Megan is the best I have met. I suffered with a torn rotator cuff which I struggled with for well over 8 month of constant pain. Since visiting Megan and the guys at Wimbledon physio I have made a full recovery. This is all down to the exercises, advice, massage and needle work. I have already recommended Megan to any and all of my friends suffering with any issues. If you have any problems don’t put it off and get it seen to, it has made such a difference to me. Thanks again, Tom.

As a yoga practitioner I sometimes get a few injuries. In this case it was my elbow and I could feel a deep pain when I moved through chaturanga Dandasana. It became so bad that the left elbow was having an impact on my right shoulder. Luckily Matt at the centre gave me great exercises to perform daily. He also did some great massages on my neck and explained how the nerves work. The problem was fixed pretty soon and I could continue with my yoga journey. My advice to anyone is to always listen to your body and take action sooner than later. Thank you Matt ‍♂️

I saw Antonia for a series of treatment after suffering from an acute injury in my back at the gym. Antonia was quick to diagnose the issue and prescribed gradual exercises that allowed me to be pain free and back to full fitness (even better than I had been before the injury) within about 8 weeks. Antonia was supportive and enthusiastic throughout which was really reassuring, enabling me to get back to the gym much quicker than I anticipated. Everyone at the Clinic is very helpful and friendly and I'll definitely be visiting again should I need to!

Following an injury to both knees which left me in significant pain and struggling to walk I started physio with Megan. As a 65yo man it wasn't a quick fix, but a steady strengthening of muscles to reduce pressure on the knees over several months. Today I was discharged, with only a rare twinge in my knees, feeling fitter and healthier than ever before. Megan was superb! Non critical, supportive, and demonstrated easy exercises for me to follow. All the staff are kind and helpful. I cannot recommend Wimbledon physiotherapy more highly.

I initially saw Antonia for what was pain in my left arm & shoulder. She correctly diagnosed that the pain was the result of something much more serious. She then referred me to a specialist in the treatment of the spine. This led to an immediate posterior cervical fusion. Antonia then helped me with my recovery (physical therapy & aqua therapy). I have years of recovery ahead, but had Antonia not diagnosed the condition in the first place, there is no telling what dreadful state I might be in. For this, I am eternally grateful.

I attended Wimbledon Physiotherapy with an undiagnosed ankle injury in May 2023 and was treated by Sophy Stonehouse. Sophy took time to understand my symptoms and after a thorough examination provided her assessment and supplied me with a treatment plan. The treatment was successful and I am pleased to say I am back running again. Sophy is an expert in her field and was lovely to work with. I am incredibly grateful for her assistance and expert diagnosis. I would highly recommend her to anyone requiring physiotherapy.

  • GraceyKatie

I went to Wimbledon Physio for the first time today as I have scoliosis and needed a sports massage to help with the knots I have. I met Danielle and immediately felt relaxed and welcomed. Danni did a really good job and although my massage was tough she kept making sure it wasn’t too much and I was happy. Will definitely be going back regularly and excited to meet the other lovely staff in future. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone a who gets muscle knots easily or who is interested in sports massages.

  • Tony Parrack

2nd experience with these wonderful people (the other was a ruptured achilles tendon). Serious bike accident and a badly bruised hip/ leg which left me hobbling around for many weeks and a need to get sorted for holiday that would involve a lot of walking. Sophy was wonderful - mostly aquaphysio with some land-based physio and I was back walking again. Hope I don't have to use them again for a while, but highly likely I will. I have full confidence in the Team and recommend them highly.

  • Sinead Harmey

I attended Wimbledon Physiotherapy for knee pain related to running. Having previously had lumber spine disc surgery it was really important to me to be able to keep up with running and at the same time not injure myself. Antonia really helped me to build up my strength on my right hand side and understand how to work on my mobility. The exercises I was given to do were always manageable and I am back into running now pain free - just did my first 14k the other week. Highly recommend.

  • Madeleine White

The best physiotherapy I've had! Great value for money with packages available, I was listened to and taken seriously. Antonia in particular was incredible in explaining what was going on in an accessible way, with the perfect balance of providing detail but in layman's terms that I could understand. My issue is completely healed and I feel fully equipped to manage it going forward thanks to Antonia and the team. I would absolutely reccomend Wimbledon Physiotherapy Clinic.

  • Vicky Green

I am so very grateful for Antonia’s stoicism and positivity throughout an extremely long recovery process from shoulder surgery. She really helped me through some tough times of pain management with such encouraging words and appropriate exercises which were achievable and lead me carefully to progress. Antonia always gave me her time and patience to problem solve and amend requirements as my needs developed and changed over the months and years. I can’t thank her enough.

  • Wil Anderson

I hobbled into the Wimbledon clinic with painful back and leg muscles. After an assessment, physio Harry Veillard built a recovery program for me, which I followed closely. I'm now pain free, and able to resume my previous sporting activities. Harry's program got me back to health, quicker than I expected, and by continuing with his program, post recovery, I anticipate remaining fit and active for the future. I recommend the clinic for its friendly and professional staff.

  • samson lettman

For my first time in private physiotherapy, Harry introduction to the practice was a complete masterclass in service and reassurance. I felt my issues were throughly examined and my worries were addressed with the upmost care. Harry set out a plan that was suited my needs and was adjusted when we thought it needed to be altered. I now recommend Harry to all those that are close to me, because I know that they would receive the best care humanly possible.

  • Kate Cole

I have been using Wimbledon Physio for several years and have been referring friends and family to them. I am predominantly treated by Antonia for my migraines, neck and upper back pain. She has helped me manage my symptoms to the point where I have had no migraines for months and able to medication free. She has given me excellent advice and organised referrals. They have treated my through my last pregnancy and I highly recommend the clinic.

  • Marie Macnamara

After months of pain in my heel I finally decided to contact Wimbledon physiotherapy clinic that was highly recommended by a friend. Matt straight away diagnosed what was the problem and advised me on the best exercises to do to help. After a week I was walking with less pain. In addition I did 4 sessions of shockwave therapy. The team at the clinic is very friendly and professional. Overall i was very satisfied with the care provided.

  • Andrew Zimmermann

I went to see Matt about a recurring problem with my right knee. He was super thorough and spent a lot of time diagnosing the root cause of the knee pain as I had been to other physios and not managed to fix it. He came up with a programme of exercises which over time relieved the pain, and importantly I know I need to keep doing those exercises or the pain may come back. I would highly recommend the Clinic and Matt in particular

  • Colin Fennelly

Highly recommend! I attended with a very painful elbow issue that made playing tennis extremely difficult. I was sure it was tennis elbow but how wrong I was! Hattie quickly diagnosed it as golfers elbow and provided me with guidance and expert knowledge to help recovery. Three weeks later and pain has greatly subsided and all thanks to the correct diagnosis and treatment plan. Kudos to Hattie!

  • Gary Howes

Following a torn calf muscle as the result of a fall whilst skiing the firm advice/instructions from Antonia and her careful guidance and exercise regime over a few months have paid dividends and led to a full recovery. I can't recommend Antonia and the rest of the team highly enough and whilst I hope not to see them anytime soon, they will be my first port of call should the need arise.

  • Zbigniew Rurak

Sophy was extremely professional. She was very thorough in diagnosing my condition, and thoughtful in assigning phased exercise routines for recovering full use of my shoulder. What impressed me most was her taking a holistic approach, not just addressing the original injury but also working with me in additional strengthening exercises so I could avoid it ever happening again.

  • A H

Jamie was such a help in resolving a nerve injury to my arm. He took time to understand and explain what might be happening, consider the best course of action both during our session and at home, and teach me ways to strengthen the muscles and prevent the situation reoccurring. A really nice guy who knows his stuff - and gives a great soft tissue massage too!

  • Elaine Kinoshita-Li

I had a great experience with Wimbledon physio. Sophy helped me with an ankle injury, I was so surprised at how quickly it got better! She was very professional and knowledgeable, and she emailed me after each session to summarise the exercises that I should do. Everyone there is friendly and helpful, booking appointments was very easy. Thank you so much!

  • Daniella

The best physiotherapists! I have been coming to Wimbledon Physio for about 4 years now, with a very complicated condition but they are always so supportive and they always go above and beyond. I have been seeing Antonia, and she is not only brilliant at finding the right exercises for me but she is so kind and supportive. I can not recommend them enough!

  • Sima Haririan

I reached out to Wimbledon Physio with a cruciate ligament and meniscus injury. The hydrotherapy exercises under guidance of Matt helped me to move onto physio and some sport massage. Matt always gave fantastic advice, responded promptly with any queries and provided amazing continuity. Thank you Wimbledon Physiotherapy

  • Mario Luis

I injured my rotator cuff a few months back and Wimbledon Physio was recommended by my insurance. Jaime my physiotherapist was professional, friendly and super knowledgeable. He diagnosed the issue pretty quick following a series of questions and under his guidance and recovery plan I am now pretty much pain free.

  • Jesper Klang

Sophy has been a true professional in the past six months going through the rehab process and I have been able to make steady progress with her guidance. My leg is stronger and I have been given a large toolbox and understanding to keep on working ith on my own. Highly recommend going here for sports injuries.

  • Nuala Finnegan

I highly recommend Jamie Harrington at Wimbledon Physio. He got me running again following an ankle injury, with focused rehab combined with strengthening exercises. Previously I'd been to another physio but didn't feel I was making progress; Jamie's approach was refreshing and very effective.

  • Luis Pucarinhas

Can't recommend the clinic enough. The staff is all super friendly but my special thanks to Megan who treated me through these past 2 months. I can really see the improvement on my back pain since the day I first got in and will definitely go back if I ever need any physiotherapy again.
