I booked in for a bike fit with TeeJay after purchasing my new bike from another bike shop that no longer offer the service. From day one I was exceptionally impressed with the service that I received. I emailed the bike fit email address on a Saturday early evening after doing significant research into local bike fitters. I received a reply almost immediately advising of availability and pricing. I booked in for a fitting a week later. TeeJay kept in touch with me prior to the appointment, ensuring any queries I had were answered in a timely manner. I arrived at Woodrup and was welcomed by the shop staff. TeeJay soon arrived from behind the scenes with a beaming smile on her face and a very warm welcome. She had a very professional but comforting manner throughout the fit, explaining each step as we went through it. We spent a good 30+ minutes talking through my history, injuries and what I want to achieve with my riding. Firstly we did the cleat fit onto my shoes; taking her time to ensure things were right, TeeJay measured, checked, measured and checked again. After all, it’s gotta be right! Following the cleat positioning, it was time to jump on the bike and have a spin, whilst being carefully watched and having lasers fired at me like an Austin Powers movie! (If you know, you know!) A tweak here, an adjustment there and it already felt better. I have a relatively complex injury history so I was wanting a comfort fit to take the strain off my lower back, as well as aligning my lower body to prevent further knee and hamstring issues. Final measurements were taken and the correct torque settings applied to all adjusted bolts and I was advised to head out for a ride as soon as I could to test the new settings. A couple of days later I was out on the road, much more comfortably may I add. I was still having a few minor niggles with the legs, and decided to switch my saddle out for a slightly more comfortable one. I spoke to TeeJay and she got me back into the shop for checking with the new saddle. A few minor adjustments were needed due to the new dimensions, and a slight tweak was done to the cleats for slightly better knee alignment. All at no extra cost may I add!! I took the bike out for a few smaller rides later that week before a century ride the following weekend. What a difference! What a genuine difference. Lower back aches all but gone, neck and shoulder aches cut dramatically (I need a 10mm shorter stem so am waiting on Trek stock), knee pain almost fully gone and hamstring pain….. what hamstring pain?! I am genuinely so happy that I found TeeJay and had the fit done before my big ride. I’d had one done in the past on an older bike back in 2015, but had forgotten what a difference it makes. The real icing on the cake for me was the fact that I’d booked in for the fit and functional assessment. After chatting and going over my injury history, TeeJay suggested that as I know my constraints and issues well, and am working with a physio currently, she didn’t see the benefit and would rather not take my £50 for that aspect of the session. I’m a Yorkshireman so you can guess how well that went down! It was so pleasing to see a professional not trying to upswell for the sake of a few extra quid, but actually caring 100% for the client and certainly not taking the p!$$. Would I recommend TeeJay and Woodrup Cycles for the service I received? Hell yeah! Without hesitation. She doesn’t know it yet but I’ll be taking my gravel bike in for a nip-tuck and a few minor tweaks. They offer an XY fitment on additional bikes for a substantially reduced price. Awesome service, keep up the great work. Thank you.

[UPDATE: JUNE 2020] It’s been almost three years since I first reviewed Woodrup, and I wanted to update my thoughts as a lot can happen in that time. It’s only gotten better. Much better. Since my first experience with Woodrup was so flawless, I’ve used them for every single bit of work for all three of my bikes ever since. From advice to purchasing to repairs, they’ve done it all. It turns out that if you use the same, family owned, small-in-a-good-way firm for three years, certain things start to emerge. Firstly, you build up a relationship. As you tend to deal largely with the same folk each time you’re in, you begin to form bonds and friendships that add another, less tangible side to visiting the store. Secondly, the team get to know about your bikes, your kit, and your approach to cycling. This leads to better-and-better customer service as Tony and the crew amass and retain knowledge about their customers. In fact, I dare say Craig—who does the majority of the mechanical work on my bikes—knows more about my kit than I do. Another thing I’ve noticed through simply being in the shop is that they have the same great approach for all of their customers. You get to overhear how they talk to and help other people: from customers simply needing a new inner tube, to first-time cyclist, to local semi-pro athletes, everyone is treated with the same respect and patience. Woodrup isn’t just a bike shop (or I guess it is, if that’s all you need). It’s a focal point for the local community. It’s a place where you feel safe and respected. It’s a place to learn and grow as a cyclist. It’s a place to make pals. [ORIGINAL: AUGUST 2017] Woodrup has always had a good reputation locally, so I popped in to speak about a new wheelbuild for my roadie. I knew that I wanted to ultimately make a purchase—I was beyond the point of just window shopping—but had no idea where to begin. I dealt with Tony as this seemed to be more within his wheelhouse (pun absolutely intended) and he was brilliant. The benefit that Woodrup has over somewhere like a high-street cycle shop is that they actually have things in stock, which meant Tony was able to show me specific rims and hubs, and talk me through the relative pros and cons of each, as well as being very mindful of my budget. Never once did he attempt a hard- or up-sell. Tony offered to put together some potential specs and their respective prices for me, which he had done within under 24hr. There was a mysterious ‘Discount’ column in the email, which I was told was the result of them price matching parts *on my behalf*. They looked out for the most competitive prices online and pro-actively matched them, which is something I wouldn’t have even done myself. This left me feeling that, as well as being fantastic at their craft, Woodrup are incredibly transparent and trustworthy. The quotes Tony gave me came in at £150 under and £2 over my budget, so naturally I opted for the £2 over. The wheels look stunning, are rock solid, and they g l i d e underneath me on rides. They were also completed several days ahead of schedule. Honestly, I love dealing with Woodrup. Skill, honesty, integrity, and a great amount of stuff to browse in their shop. Gonna use them for everything that I can from now on, and I‘d recommend you do the same.

Bike Fitting & Physiological Assessment To start I'd love to thank Teejay for being so friendly and welcoming as well as the usual team at Woodrup for their expertise. A real credit to the team, her knowledge, banter and real world experience really made me feel at home. I approached Teejay after a referral from a friend due to his gleaming review. I decided to go for a bikefit due to a change in cleat brand, to get more dialed in on the bike. Due to a vast injury history I also opted in for the physiological assessment (highly recommend you do this as well as the bike fit). Building the bike myself and riding many miles each week I felt comfortable and relaxed when riding. Needless to say I was probably too stubborn and proud to admit I was in the wrong possision and the changes we made were outstanding. Before looking at the bike myself and Teejay discussed riding habits, injury history and what I wanted to gain from the fit. We went into depth working out what would be the best for myself and what we needed to do to help me become a better rider. She then measured the centre of my feet and had the mechanics put my cleats on in the correct position. Next we measured my height, torso arms and feet to input it into the Shimano system that Teejay uses as an idea of where I should be on the bike. After this we had another discussion before moving into my range of movement and strength. My eyes where opened as to where my weak points are and places I REALLY need to work on. I found parts of my body overcompensating for my injuries, but that my strength and range of movement was still at a high level (let's not mention my weak core shall we) After this I got on the bike with all the new measurements that Teejay had set, the new cleat position, handlebar drop, saddle height and lovely new stem (matchy matchy) worked amazing after lots of tweeking and tiny changes. Thanks to Rob downstairs for coming up and assisting! The long and short of it is Teejay is a fantastic person who I thoroughly enjoyed meeting and spending my Saturday afternoon with, I really cannot thank her enough. A professional with a passion for her work and helping those that need it, and a credit to the Woodrup team. I look forward to riding with all the changes and getting into my new position and making the most of the time I spend on the bike. If you've made it this far, follow me on Strava - Chris Tofu ATC

I am fairly new to cycling and I went for a bike fit with Teejay. She had kept in touch with me before the appointment. I had been riding in a very hunched up position and also had baskets that I didn't know how to take off, and was too nervous to use. Thank you for removing them for me Teejay! I had originally, on purchase of the bike, in York, insisted that I could easily have both feet on the floor as I was a bit nervous and unsteady. However this had meant that i was riding in a very cramped way and it was uncomfortable. Teejay spent over two hours with me, taking a detailed history of my physiology and very precise measuring of both me and the bike, using lasers and different measuring devices. There were several adjustments which now mean I can fully extend my legs and ride much more comfortable. The change in the saddle position, higher and further back has made for a much more comfortable experience and the change with the handlebars has improved the problem with my hands getting pins and needles. I had a ride outside, to make sure I felt confident, with Teejay observing, and making recommendations for further adjustments. She has encouraged me to return if I need to for further tweaks. I managed just short of 50 miles the next day and it was easier. It was really good to be able to have the bike fit with a woman, as I don't think I would have felt very comfortable being measured or discussing anatomy and saddle soreness etc with a man. So I would highly recommend having a bike fit with Teejay as she listened to what I wanted and needed, understood and took action to improve my comfort , position, experience and hopefully performance! I also have an email diagram and a printed copy of the bike fit that I will be able to use when I go on my cycle challenge in Kenya later this year . Thank you Teejay!

So glad to have a place like Woodrup close by - the staff really know their stuff, and are always able (and happy!) to help. I've been round a few times, and have always found it to be a well-stocked, well-run shop - the parts they sell are proper quality, so even if its slightly pricier than somewhere like Halfords, I know it'll all last a lot longer and be worth it in the long run. Not only this, but the staff are fantastic - I recently had a freehub that had gotten properly jammed on to the wheel, and had no way of removing it at home - took it down to Woodrup and the mechanic I saw was able to take it into the workshop and get it off with a vice free of charge. I know its not a huge thing, but I've been to plenty of other places that would have wanted to charge for that, so it's really good to know that the advice/help you're given is genuine (and not just an attempt to guide you towards the most expensive solution to your problem). One other thing that's really great about the place is that it's got just as much (if not more) of a focus on road bikes as it does on MTB. Given that pretty much every other bike shop on the highstreet is oriented towards MTB riders, it's great to have somewhere that I can have a range of options for my bike, rather than just the one token product. Tl;Dr: Woodrup is a quality bike shop, well worth the money and a great place for advice on anything bike related, especially road bikes.

I had an amazing experience with Teejay during my bike fit at Woodrup cycles. My initial enquiry was responded to with a phone call within 45 minutes on a weekend, and despite the late time in the evening, Teejay gave me all the time in the world to talk through my issues and history. Due to my work commitments I couldn't make an appointment for a few weeks and was given great and strong advice to not ride the bike in the meantime due to the injury. Of course this was followed and I think this really speaks to Teejay's knowledge and experience in the subject. Over the weeks before the appointment my questions were quickly answered and Teejay's attitude of picking up the phone and explaining her thoughts so clearly was a breath of fresh air in this digital focused world. The bike fit itself was amazing, the nearly 3 hour appointment passed in what felt like a heartbeat and Teejay seemed in no rush throughout the entire process. Her methods and experience shine through as outstanding immediately and not only has this changed my setup on the bike the process was so much fun and accessible. I can see how many may be put off by the cost of a bike fit, though after receiving one I wished it was one of the first investments I put into cycling. Thanks so much Teejay!

Quite possibly the worst bike service I've ever had. My bike's rear derailleur needed sorting and I opted to get all cables replaced, gears and brakes. They also replaced the bearings on my bottom bracket and headset. And replaced my bar tape. Nearly £200. OK but on the way home the bike was slipping in every gear, so bad I daren't stand up. On looking, the rear derailleur was so bent it simply didn't line up with a single gear. Had to physically bend it back into alignment. Unacceptable. I then a few days later noticed that both wheels were "wobbly" as if the bearings were going. I went to take the wheels off and the quick release simply fell open with the slightest touch. Neither wheel was clamped securely, frightening considering I'd done 30 or so miles. I clamped them securely and no immediate issue. Unfortunately this meant I'd ridden with them loose and now, after a month, the rear wheel's bearings are grinding like mad. I'm not happy. More unnecessary cost. But I will certainly never be using this company again. Disgraceful. I'm fuming.

2 part review 1. I had a bike fit with TeeJay early June due to chronic back pain. Went in knowing my frame is too large and my stem cannot be shortened any further but we worked as best able to. She made a few adjustments such as handlebar tilt and dropping my seat a few mm and wow my back pain is practically non-existent now! TeeJay suggested that I take up Pilates and with focusing on 2 non-engaging muscles has immensely improved my endurance, power output and I can now comfortably ride 100 miles without pain and even continue riding the day after. She has provided a few follow up phone calls since the fit and is always happy to answer questions on the side. Couldn’t be happier with the service provided, thank you 2. Recently ordered some parts and components with the lovely guys at Woodrups. Such a pleasure to deal with and all round great experience. Highly recommend paying a visit to this store even if you don't live very close by (like me).

Wanted a simple suspension fork swap - they offered me two for 200 / 245 pounds + 45 service charge = what are you guys smoking there? Do reccomend doing a simple price check before coming this place as they seem to be the kind of place where they try to take advantage on consumers. Replying to the shop response: This is not true - Im pretty sure that there were no comments on how little the suspenion would benefit, quite oppositely I was assured that the air suspension is better and more adjustable. Other to that no 109.99 pound variation was offered just 200 and 245. If you think that riding without suspension makes no difference or hardly any benefit then Im questioning your overall knowledge about how stuff works (go try a full suspension bike and no suspension at all and see how they ride). As for fitting - it was around 35-45 but I got no info on what makes the 22% difference in pricing for the service. And yeah thanks for the "free advice".

I recently had a bike fit from TeeJay. It was brilliant- I’ve not had any issues with my bike since and it has eliminated my saddle pain. Before the bikefit, I was struggling with saddle pain and I felt that the bike was in control of me- too big and uncomfortable. Now, I feel that I’m in sync with the bike and it fits to me- my control has greatly improved and I no longer have saddle pain. I found TeeJay very good company but she also has a devil for the detail and took great care. After the fit, TeeJay sent me a review of my physiology for cycling and the bike measurements for future reference. I know that I can speak to her in the future with any questions that I have. I highly-recommend TeeJay- especially for women. I would also recommend a bike-fit at Woodrups as they can adapt your bike in the mechanic workshop. Teejay used the workshop to change my stem and cleats. Thanks TeeJay and Woodrups. Mary

I went to Woodrup as I was looking to buy a new road bike. Very helpful, knowledgeable, fantastic and friendly staff. Great advice as we have done a few changes to the bike, getting it all set up in no time. Then I had a bike fit with TeeJay, knowledgeable and very passionate and before she did any measurements and changes to my bike she first went through the process / briefing of my cycling history / injuries and what are my expectations. She explained why I had problems with my lower back pain on long rides and climbing. Felt relaxed during the whole process, it was a great afternoon full of laughter and fun. I'm enjoying riding my new Bianchi in the right position now. I would like to thank you TeeJay for being so friendly and welcoming ! I would absolutely recommend these guys to everyone ! Just had a bike fit with Teejay at Woodrups. Like most middle aged men I turned up thinking I wasn't far off, how wrong I was! Their approach to bike fitting is very scientific and the results show the benefit of doing it like this. Absolutely different experience now when I ride, especially when climbing. I would absolutely recommend a bike fit at Woodrups. Professional, very experienced and excellent service. Very happy with the results. They also make bespoke steel frames. Showed me the process in their workshop. To be honest I've never really thought about buying a steel frame bike. Their experience in making bespoke steel frames that last a life time is second to none. This is something I will be exploring further.. All in all, a highly recommended shop for all things cycling.

Bike fit service by Teejay My partner and myself booked in for the bike fit service here and we're both suitably impressed. Very easy to book the appointment, and each aspect of the bike fit was explained in simple terms. It took a couple of hours for each bike fit, which included personal measurements, shoe fit and cleat position, and of course the bike. Any adjustments were either made on the spot, or component changes were talked through with examples that could be purchased from downstairs, or you were free to source your own. Teejay is very knowledgeable, and clearly has a passion for all things cycling. Overall a great investment for those wanting to cycle further / faster / without aches and pains. Which reminds me, I must do my stretches that were suggested!

  • Geoff Knight

Had a bike fit with TeeJay on Saturday and whilst I do not know what expectations I actually had when I entered the shop, they would have been surpassed whatever! From a first greeting smile & warm handshake to the "Take care and call back if you have any problem" cheerio, this was a fabulous experience TeeJay certainly knew her stuff and took the time to fully explain the process throughout - to the point of making all the technical aspects logical & obvious I left with a most definite better riding position and already know that aching left knee & tingly finger numbness will be a thing of the past! I read that one of the Top10 "value for money" things a new rider can do is have a bike fit - if this is with TeeJay, I fully agree and cannot recommend enough

I was recommended to go to Woodrup and I am not surprised as they are superb. I experienced outstanding customer service from the team at Woodrup. I dealt with Tom across 4 visits to the shop from my initial enquiry (I'm one of those folks who has got back on a bike after 20+ years) to my final decision and purchase. Tom asked great questions to help understand what my needs and intended use would be to help me make my decision. At no point did I feel pressured to select any type of bike or buy any particular bike. They were great at fitting my needs to my budget yet ensuring I still had plenty of options to consider. The after care they have already advised me they offer sounds amazing also, and i look forward to visiting the store again.

  • Linda Tiller

I had a bike fit by TJ organised by my partner in preparation for a cycling event in July. The whole experience was enlightening and fun. TJ talked me through the whole process and explained the rationale for each measurement and adjustment. She took the time to to ensure everything was set up precisely for maximum comfort. I could immediately tell the difference as my weight had been front loaded to the bars (causing wrist pain on longer rides) and the bike fit ensured the weight was evenly distributed between bars, saddle and pedals. She took great pride in ensuring everything was spot on. I’m looking forward to my next long ride tomorrow (after a few practice goes today with my new cleats). Thank you TJ! :)

  • Neil Balfour

I had a bikefit with Teejay at Woodrup Cycles and she was brilliant! It was so interesting, thorough and caring. I really took a lot away from it. Teejay has such a broad view of what a bike fit is, encompassing all areas, and I liked that a lot. I already feel empowered to go out on my bike and ride more pain free. Teejay has specialised knowledge as a Bike fitter, a masseuse and a PT. This gives her a real holistic view of what's going on with your bike and most importantly... physiologically with your body. She's also a lovely person to spend a morning with. Book in, you won't regret it. An added bonus was getting a small tour of Woodrup workshop by Mr. Woodrup himself. Beautiful hand-built steel bikes!

From booking enquiry to leaving the bike shop floor - TeeJay offers the most impeccable service from start to finish by always ensuring she goes the extra mile. Knowledgable, professional, personable and inquisitive - TeeJay loves what she does, knows what she’s talking about and the results speak in volumes. TeeJay - Thank you for your commitment to supporting me reach my full potential. This was my first visit to Woodrup Cycles and the team exceeded all my expectations. I am now fully invested in using their expertise to fulfil all my cycling needs moving forward. Thank you!

Just been out on my new bike following my bike fit done by TeeJay at Woodrups, so thought would take the opportunity to share my experience and thanks to her and the team. Amazing service. TeeJay took time to understand me, and to make changes to the bike that were needed following a thorough assessment. I flew home on the bike and just been out on a 40+mile ride. The bike ran like a dream, and I had not one twinge! Excellent job. The bike fit is not cheap but I was there for over 2hours and the bike now fits great. Thank you to TeeJay and the whole team.

  • Jessie Hill

I have just come back from a bike fit with Tee Jay and can highly recommend this. I have been thinking about a bike for for ages and am now wondering why I didn’t do it sooner. Tee Jay spent almost three hours with me, listening to my history and goals and then spent ages measuring me and the bike. She was a perfectionist when making all the adjustments and I can tell immediately I am in a much better position. The whole process was informative but also enjoyable because Tee Jay is a genuinely lovely person who wants you to get the most out of your bike.

  • Sean Duncan

This shop is second to none. Every job I have had done here has been top notch. They always ring after initial inspection to let you know what the cost will be before they commence........I always tell them to not bother ringing me, as I am so confident that any work they do is essential for the benefit of my bike and me. I called in again today with a problem with my bike computer, and they supplied the part and got me out of a fix, and never even charged me. Where else would you get that sort of service.......NOWHERE !!!! Top team of guys.

  • Simon Huber

I bought a Bianchi specialissima from Woodrups last August so have taken my time to leave a review. From entering the shop and talking to Tony my experience has been first class. Tony was very knowledgeable and gave me all the info I needed to make my decision. I was a little apprehensive about spending so much but after a year of ownership I am so glad I did. Had a little problem with the discs squealing but was sorted for me on the day I rang up. Would not hesitate to purchase another bike from Woodrups. Thanks so much guy's.

  • Adam Dobson

Just been in with a totally knackered old bike, front wheel had an issue where the quick release thing had broken and if I'd have continued to cycle on it I'd have certainly fallen off. Bloke at Woodrup took a look at it, went to the back and came back with a part off an old bike, fixed it all up and didn't charge me a penny. Absolute 5* service from these guys, no wonder they have been a fixture in Kirkstall for so long. Any further issues with this bike or any others I'll be coming here. Thanks again Woodrup!

  • Helen Siberry

I visited Woodrup Cycles due to a word of mouth recommendation and I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of stock and general relaxed atmosphere within the store. I was approached by a lovely gentleman named Hugo who straight away figured out what kind of bike i was after and helped me choose one that would be most practical for me. Hugo was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful and i really felt that he made my experience special...he is an asset to the team. Couldn't recommend this company enough- thanks!

Bike Fitting by TeeJay - this is the best money I have ever spent on cycling stuff. Cycling with the fit corrected is unbelievably comfortable; now I can use the bike much more without having a sore back afterwards. I would also like to say that Woodrup's people have been really helpful with great advice, and they all take time to listen. Plus they install things like tyres when you buy them which definitely gets my vote. I absolutely recommend this shop and the bike fitting is an exceptional service.

  • Brian Peirce

Massively impressed with Woodrup Cycles. I had read other customer excellent reviews and they were spot on. So I took my e mtb on the direct train to Leeds (I live 30 miles away) for a full service and I cannot praise them enough. Great knowledgeable, friendly and efficient staff, and a total confidence inspiring 'can do' customer service ethos. Absolutely brilliant. I will definitely continue to take my bike(s) there regardless of the distance. Great vibe in the shop too and excellent product range.

  • Adam Silverwood

Outstanding service, I took my daughers bike in as I couldnt work out why the brakes were sticking and the chain kept slipping off. Jim the mechanic knew exactly what the problem was, fixed it extremely quick, the price was great and my daughter can now enjoy her bike again! The staff were really pleasant, Hugo & TeeJay were so friendly, polite and knowledgeable. The shop was filled with so much equipment, I was like a kid in sweet shop! Highly recommend!!

  • Sam Newham

Impeccable service. Time and time again they've got me out from mechanical/technical holes that I thought there was no solution for and, as cliché as it might be, truly have gone above and beyond on more than one occasion. All the sales staff and mechanics are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and helpful and the shop is always well stocked. Woodrup really sets the gold standard when it comes to bike shops.

  • Connor Bull

Bike fit with TeeJay Jones this morning. Excellent service, welcomed with a smile and felt very relaxed throughout. Impressed with knowledge and expertise and felt I was able to ask any questions I had. End result left me with a comfortable fit for my type of riding! Am able to contact TeeJay at any point if I have any issues or concerns or need some more information so overall very pleased with service!

  • Thomas Windus

I had a bike fitting and physiological assessment with TeeJay having had knee and back pain with a new bike. TeeJay was friendly, knowledgable, and really focused on the details. The improvement to my ride was immediately noticeable and I've not had any further pain in the 2 weeks since the fitting. It's been really useful to have a copy of the notes and recommendations made by TeeJay. Highly recommend.

  • David Long

I had my bike and wheels serviced here recently. Fairly priced, great customer service and quick, I would highly recommend them. I had an issue with the rear wheel following the service so I took it back. They explained what had caused it, advised me how to stop it happening again and rectified it on the spot free of charge. I will be using them for all my bike servicing and repair needs going forward.

  • Louisa Clarke

I went for a bike fit with TeeJay. It was a great experience. I had been having a few niggles. She is very knowledgeable, clearly passionate about bikes and helping you feel more comfortable on the bike to achieve your goals. Most importantly, she is a lovely genuine person who makes you feel relaxed. I feel alot better on the bike already. I would wholeheartedly recommend a bike fit with TeeJay.

  • Stuart Davis

Great service. Very knowledgeable and helpful. The staff worked hard to get me what I wanted/needed giving helpful advice. Found me a bike at a lower price point than what I had originally intended that suited me well. Didn't attempt to flog anything more expensive. I'd been to some of the big name chains in Leeds and had very poor service earlier in the week. I can't recommend this place enough

  • Safraaz Karim

Excellent customer service by Duncan. he was very professional. i received the best customer service. very friendly staff who are very passionate. Also repaired my bike, rides like new. In the current covid 19 climate the shop floor is very well controlled. everthing was 100% on point. The Sales, The Advise, The Price, The Show Room, The Customer Service all was 10/10 Amazing Shop. Thank You

  • Claire Portis

On the basis of the response you, as the owner, left to Mr disgruntled, yours would be the first bike shop I visit when I buy my son a bike in Leeds. ( he's at UNI!) A considered response, eloquently written, the fact you even responded was brilliant most owners don't bother. If you put as much time an attention into your Bike services I'm sure you offer AMAZING value. Well done you !

  • William Rachmann

Picked up my 2021 cube Ebike reaction pro today, what fantastic service from all the staff. I was so impressed that they had actually got one in stock on the day it was launched . They must have a good relation with cube Germany to have got stock in . The bike was built for me and kitted out with all the gadgets I needed at a good price. Thank you all what a wonderful experience.

  • Kren Cooper

Have been using Woodrup for years, ever since moving to Leeds. Never had bad service in 20 years - always get good advice and great service from the staff. They cater from very casual riders like myself through to professional riders with the latest gear. At the moment they are only allowing a limited number of customers in store at any one time, and masks are required.

I started using Woodrup at the beginning of lockdown because they were pretty much the only place in leeds that stayed open. Amazing service every time I've been in. I tend to buy parts/tools and fix stuff myself, they always give quality advice about how to sort problems. Woodrup's customer service has made it my first point of call for everything bike related.

  • Sarah Greenan

I find the experience of the previous reviewer very surprising. I bought a bike from Woodrups last November - so far they have sorted out a minor problem expeditiously and free of charge, and last week carried out a repair (made necessary by my failure to replace a worn-out brake pad) speedily and at very reasonable cost. They are helpful & professional.

I absolutely loved my Bike Fit here! Teejay went above and beyond to fit my bike perfectly. I was experiencing some lower back pain on my bike and since I have had it properly fitted I don’t get any back pain at all. It’s especially good having a female to fit your bike as Teejay understands the differences in physique. Would highly recommend!

  • Thomas Morgan

I cannot thank TeeJay enough for the bike fitting today. Excellent service and well worth it for anyone who wants/needs a bike fitting. I also undertook a physiological assessment which was incredibly insightful and helped me identify the parts of my body that were not working so well for cycling. I would definitely recommend both services.

  • Jonathan Collins

Had positive experience with several bike purchases and servicing / tips here over the last 3 years. This week I took in my bike in to fix irritating intermittent creaks / clicking - Bob quickly diagnosed and fixed some loose bolts, set me on my way in 10mins - really great service , and no hard sell. Strongly recommended - thanks, Bob !

One of the greatest cycling gems in Leeds. An amazing amount of beautiful bikes, be it new or retro, and outstanding display of parts and accessories. Always a pleasure to visit and speak to any member of the team. Limited on parking but this is due to their location, no wrongdoing on their behalf. Worth bearing in mind when travelling.

  • Oliver Moody

I visited today to speak to Tony about some adaptations to my bike as I am someone with very small stature and adjusting my new bike to fit me wasn’t straightforward. Tony was extremely knowledgeable and helped me to fit my bike properly. I highly recommend Woodrup Cycles and will be using them whenever I have bike issues in the future

  • Aaron Barker

These guys have been around for years and it’s clear why, they are absolutely fantastic! I honestly can’t sing their praises enough. They give every reason why we should all support local and even though I’m a self employed mechanic, I’ll happily promote and sing their praises all day long even to my customers. Thanks again guys

  • Ruth

Great service, really friendly and knowledgeable. I had a bike fit and physiological assessment and much more besides (a quick repair done as a favor to me as well.) Great to speak to someone who understands specific requirements for women. Feel ready to get back to cycling with renewed confidence and enthusiasm. Thanks TeeJay

Purchased my first road bike from here during the covid 19 period. Was not too sure what I wanted and the staff was really helpful and Informative. Few weeks after I needed some adjustment to a gear cable. They did it in 5 minutes even though they was busy free of charge. Friendly and couldn't recommend them enough.

  • Catherine Reader

Called up first thing in the morning asking if they could check my front brake and tyre after I had had to reconnect them after taking my bike apart. Despite being busy they were more than happy to take 5 mins to give it a good check over and a few adjustments, and they did it for free! Thank you so much …

Been doing up a 1980s bike as a single speed project that turned out to not to be straightforward - the guys at Woodrup helped getting the chain alignment right, fitting the bottom bracket as well as advice on other stuff. Can't stress how helpful they were and all at very reasonable price. Cheers

Just been in to buy a replacement wheel and tyre. I was dealt with quickly and expertly. They transferred the cassette to the new wheel and gave advice on how the rear derailer may need adjusting. Back on the road! Offered to do any adjustment if I was passing. Price comparable to on-line too.

I had a lot of help from the whole team at Woodrups in the UK when I had my dream bike built there for me. I imported my chimera bike with Rholoff internal hub into Canada and I want to do a lot of riding on the gravel. I hope to get fit enough to keep up with the bike. Thank you team Woodrup

After the seat tube failed on my track bike, I came to Woodrups. Their frame builder explained how it could be repaired in detail, a couple of weeks later I picked it up and couldn't be happier with the result. The sales staff have been very helpful as well, a credit to the Leeds bike scene!
