What do you do when you find a wine in full stock that is always sold out at other places...You definitely get over it and find something else if wine store southpark is the place you have to go to get it. First time visiting today because I found a wine here that I had fallen in love with but is hard to find in total wine. The store was busy but it only takes a moment to say hello especially when the employees are crossing in front of you to get wines for other customers and happily greeting everyone else who walks through the door. I actually asked the employee who crossed me twice how she was doing today since I wasn’t met with such pleasantries. I ordered online the night before and wished I had gone right to the register to pick it up instead of looking around to see what else they had. Definitely felt overlooked and in their way. The price point is beyond great (when I can find the wine I usually pay $23+ but here it’s 14.99) but would rather pay shipping or more, than to go in the store and feel like they are too busy to acknowledge all customers in the same manner. Will consider trying Lake Norman or another location as the company boasts about their customer service, but Southpark is a no.

Subscribed to the Winestore’s emails after my hairdresser forwarded me one announcing a Wagner brands (Caymus, Conundrum, Mer Soleil, and previously Belle Glos) tasting, who my dad is a winegrower for. Within one month I’ve dropped more cash at the store than I usually do on wine. BUT the reason for this is that they run special pricing on very good wines so it is worth it. One was a gift, one was a new Wagner brand, and two are a label I rarely see anymore. Their service is excellent; the first time I was in the store, I received the lowdown in how the store works. They try to maintain a broad selection priced in the $12-15 range, although that’s not to say there aren’t cheaper or more pricey. I’ve not taken advantage of their tastings, but this isn’t the kind of place where you’ll hang out and drink flights. The tastings are simply to help you hone in on what you may like to try.

Emily was so knowledgeable and helpful. It was my first time in, and I was buying for some girlfriends. I gave her a price point and description of wines they enjoyed. She was friendly and insightful without being pushy. She offered a tasting of one of the wines as well and then let me peruse the store. It was a great experience and I will definitely return.

It was my first experience at this place and I will definitely be back! I only drink one brand of wine and probably called about 8-9 different places to see if they had it. Of course no one did but Derek from the wine store said they could order it. Not only was it cheaper than purchasing it from the manufacturer it only took 24 hrs to get it in!!!

The staff here is the best at helping you find your next favorite wine! They’ll even help you search for wines with a specific grape, hunt down a wine that they don’t sell (just so you can buy it), and provide suggestions that fit your palate. I’ve started buying all my wine from them.

Very unprofessional staff... I was the only person in the store and I had to ask for help. Once I got help they acted like I was a burden on them. I spent around $100 on my first and definitely my last visit. Very unprofessional!!!

The wine selection here is unlike any other. Everything is small batch and unique. The staff is somewhat knowledgeable of the products and could use a bit more wine specific training. Will be our go to spot in the neighborhood.

I recently moved from The Bay Area where I was surrounded by wineries. I was pleasantly surprised to find this store yesterday. Thanks Matt for your suggestions. You really know your stuff. I will be back.

Love this place! This is your go-to place to find a wine you'll like for a great price. They have the fancy stuff too but I go here to find something I haven't had before (did I mention the great price?)

I believe this is the best wine store in Charlotte. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Wide range of prices and choices. Small enough not to be overwhelming. Good for the novice or connoisseur.

After living in Sonoma/Napa for 5 years it was nice to find a good selection and very good value in the area, highly recommend and will get my wines there going forward!
