The Church of Saint-Séverin is a Roman Catholic church in the 5th arrondissement or Latin Quarter of Paris, on the busy tourist street Rue Saint-Séverin. It is one of the oldest churches. It was built at the beginning of 1230, and then, after a fire, it was rebuilt between the 15th and 17th centuries in the Gothic style.

Très belle église gothique, assez austère au final, mais possédant une atmosphère propre. Les vitraux modernes restaurés se marient avec goût aux voûtes rayonnantes. Le crucifix de lumière led vient teinter le tout d'une lumière un peu froide mais assumant la modernité composite de ce lieu historique.

Don’t have to be religious type to enjoy the beautiful architecture, design, and stained glass displays. The inside is essentially a work of art. Worth a quick stop in to see the works from the inside. Beautiful stained glass! Spent more time looking than taking pictures.

This church is one of my favourite in Paris! It’s always quiet and peaceful. I love the modern art on the stained glass windows. Come in the afternoon where you can see the sun shining through the various colours of the stained glass windows! Absolutely beautiful!

This church has amazing stained glass windows, some are biblical or historical scenes but some are abstract. These combine beautifully with the stone columns, arches and ceilings. There's a quiet Chapel where you can sit. Highly recommended.

Church over a thousand years old. Amazing to just be in something that’s existed through so much history. Simple factoid: The pillars inside reflect the various historical architectural periods. And easy must-see close to other must-sees.

A true masterpiece of stained glass art. It is definitely worth to visit this church and spend some time on prayer and reflection. The entrance is free and the doors are usually open during the day. One of my favorite churches in Paris.

I thought this was gorgeous. It's a short walk away from Notre Dame, but much quieter and calmer. It's beautiful inside, and a nice little break from the insane crowds elsewhere.

It needs work. Went there many years ago for a concert of Bach Brandenburg concertos. But it looks very old and tired now. Could do with a cleaning and some lighting. Very sad
