Aktobe or Aqtobe means white hill. The weather can be cold, but it is sunshine and lovely this morning (early September) I walked around and took some pictures of the quite, but lively town. It is easy to walk around the city. Use Google Map and you should be able to find your way around. Be careful of cars! However, they may stop to let you cross the road, be ready to run if they do.
