Construction was started in 1892 and was completed in 1898. It was built on the top of the hill Parir Pahar (Fairy's Hill). The building was built in the Indo-Saracenic Revival architecture style. The building was built to house the Chittagong District Court.And Very beautiful building on a top hill built by the then British government for judiciary and administrative purposes of East Bengal. This is a beautiful places for the travellers. you can see the whole Chittagong city from this hill. The scenery of Karnaphully rivers and Chittagong Port looks very beautiful from here.And also this is one of the most important place of Chittagong. I visited this place many times. Court Building in Chattogram is basically the historic victorian red building built in the british colonial period. The building Houses The Office of the Divisional commissioner, Chattogram Division in the western part and The office of the Deputy Commissioner , Chattogram in rest of the part. The building has similar architecture to that of Kolkata Writers building. This is a long building with hundreds of rooms which houses nearly 50 sections of the abovementioned offices. Nearly 10,000 service seekers visit this building every Working day, making it one of the most bustling area of the city.

চট্টগ্রাম কোর্ট বিল্ডিং বা চট্টগ্রাম আদালত ভবন চট্টগ্রাম শহরের পরীর পাহাড়ে অবস্থিত একটি প্রশাসনিক ভবন। ব্রিটিশ ইস্ট ইন্ডিয়া কোম্পানি ১৭৭৩ সালে চট্টগ্রামকে পৃথক প্রশাসনিক অঞ্চল ঘোষণা করে। এসময় প্রশাসনিক কাজের জন্য এই দ্বিতল ভবনটি নির্মাণ করা হয়। এর আয়তন ১,৫৩,০০০ বর্গফুট ও কক্ষ সংখ্যা শতাধিক।[১] এখান থেকে জেলা প্রশাসক, বিভাগীয় কমিশনার ও আদালতের কার্যাবলী পরিচালিত হয়। এছাড়া জেলা ট্রেজারি এখানে অবস্থিত। বর্তমানে পুরাতন ভবনে কার্যক্রমের স্থান সংকুলান না হওয়ায় পুরাতন ভবনের পাশে নতুন নির্মিত হয়েছে। সম্প্রতি এতে অগ্নিকান্ডের ঘটনা ঘটে।
