It was initially named after Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury, a former president of the Bangladesh Cricket Board. It was renamed after Ruhul Amin, a former Bangladesh national cricket team captain, in 2001. The stadium was returned to its original name in 2009. The Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium is one of the most popular cricket venues in Bangladesh. It has hosted a number of major international matches, including Test matches, ODI matches, and T20I matches. The stadium also hosted two group matches of the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup. The Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium is a well-maintained stadium with a good playing surface. The pitch is generally flat and batting-friendly, which makes it a good venue for high-scoring matches. The boundary is relatively short, which also makes it a good venue for bowlers to take wickets. The Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium is home to the Chattogram Challengers, the local franchise in the Bangladesh Premier League. The stadium is also used for domestic cricket matches. Here are some additional facts about the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium: The stadium has a three-tier pavilion that can accommodate over 10,000 spectators. The stadium has a number of other facilities, including a gymnasium, a swimming pool, and a practice ground. The stadium is located about 20 kilometers from the city center of Chattogram. I hope this brief information about the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium is helpful.

One of the best stadiums in Chattogram. It is international venue recognised by International Cricket Council. People say it is lucky venue because Bangladesh National Cricket Team keeps ability to defeat all International Cricket Team in this venue. The Stadium has three gates. One Main gate, another two are western gate and northern gate. Northern gate is now unuseable. All gates are used for exit and entry. Maximum time northern gate remain closed. The Stadium has seating all around the Gallery. It has more than 22000 seating capacity. It has big car parking which is used for players and management team. Before 2000 A.D it was known as Sagorika Stadium. In 2001 it was renamed as Birshrassto Ruhul Amin Stadium. It was done by BNP government. Later in 2009 AL government again renamed by Jahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium. In 2006 it was only test venue recognised by ICC. Later it became both Test and ODI venue.

It is the largest stadium in Chittagong, besides the National League, Bangladesh Cricket League matches were held. It is located on the Kazir Deuri in Chittagong. Twenty thousand people can watch the game together at the stadium. It is located in a clean and pleasant environment . It is the largest stadium in Chittagong, Twenty thousand people can watch the game together at the stadium. It is located in a clean and pleasant environment. However, the stadium needs a lot of maintenance because it is an international stadium, but apart from having its chair smashed, there are cracks in place. If not repaired soon, the stadium will lose its heritage It is our duty to maintain the natural environment and cleanliness of the place wherever we go. Wherever we go, we make travel more enjoyable for everyone . As we don't leave the wastages there which will hamper the nature

  • Ali

Before this stadium was built international and domestic cricket used to share the ground with football at MA Aziz stadium. Now this ground is dedicated to cricket only. It is beautifully built, comfortable seating with green playing area unlike some sub continent dust bowels. The atmosphere inside and outside the stadium is electrifying as Bangladesh is a cricket crazy nation. Being the foreigner the security and staff were very kind and helpful for us. There are some drawbacks though. Lacks good eating option. Had to do with some low quality and costly snacks and drinks. There were no clean bathrooms either. Some stands lack roof and watching from there will give you painful sunburns. This stadium lacks car parking and as it is far away from main road getting a vehicle after a match is very difficult. Better book a cab beforehand to avoid any trouble.

  • Md Saimun

The condition of the stadium is getting exalted day by day. Almost 90% the chair in the economy class is ripped or broken. The food very average and the bathroom is very bad. Probably they have to buy food from syndicates. Other than economy class it's fine. There was not enough space for namaj. Its not international type. There are syndicates ticket, food and water I had to brought 80 tk 1.5 litre water which price tag was 25 tk Burger, Biriyani, Hotdog was high priced

  • Shafiqul Islam

Very bad stadium in Bangaladesh. There is no way to protect cricket fans from the rain or sun heat. No reconstruction has done after 2011 world cup. All the chairs are broken. BCB is making money but they are unwilling to reconstruct the stadium. And what should I say about the food price and the quality!!! It's better not to say anything about it
