Music was great and the djs were awesome. However we didn’t like how as a group of 6 foreigners we were already willing to buy 2 bottles to reserve a table at the club and management wanted us to spend at LEAST 1 million krw and told us to pick bottles accordingly. We had to explain that for 6 ppl only 3 were drinking and that having more than 3 bottles was too much. After some back and forth they finally allowed us to pay our original offer but they seated us all the way in the back in the dark with no light. There were other Koreans who were seated around us with two bottles as well but they got glow sticks and a well lit table. There were other foreigners complaining to each other how they were forced to buy at least 3 bottles for them to have entry. This club is definitely not too welcoming if you don’t have a certain look. The bouncers are also trash; my friend was trying to take a selfie on her phone and one bouncer who was in front of the door YELLED at her in Korean in a disrespectful manner bc he thought she was taking a picture of him. He never even apologized when his partner tried to tell him that she wasn’t taking photos of them. They also tried to give us a hard time about not having our actual passports when the manager told us that we could use our country’s drivers license and a photo of our passports on our phone as we had bought bottles. The music and energy of the club was great but staff is very rude and not too welcoming unless you’re a Korean national.

This club should be rated the most racists and discriminating dance clubs in the world. If you want to enjoy the real night club save your money and go to Vegas. We wanted to check out octogon to see what the hype is all about, and was very disappointed that I was not able to enter due to the fact that I was "fat". It doesnt matter if you are unattractive what matters is your weight. So if you are butt ugly you are in luck because you can still get in because you're skinny. I read so many reviews online how this is one of the best dance clubs in the world...but I suppose it's bias...but really it shouldn't be the best because this club doesn't open their doors to everyone. I understand business is business..but people are people too, that come together for the music and the love of dancing and weight should not be a factor. Octagon Club 1st visit to the city of Seoul and I decide to go to one of the supposed best clubs. I go with a shirt, pants and shoes and the security one looks at me from top to bottom and tells me that my dress is not correct to enter. On the right hand side is the VIP area and I ask if there is another place nearby because they have not let me in for my clothes, one of them talks to the partner in Korean, making me understand that he does not understand the reason for his gestures but the other does He was an unpolite man and in bad ways he tells me that I am still there. It is true that there was no other foreigner at that time, it was soon, 01.30am. So simply the one at the entrance did not feel like it. Then I saw each one dressed badly, who in many clubs would not let them in. Anyway, I must rate this club negatively. One for the man who said he was not well dressed, there were two and the other looked like he was going to let me pass. And second, on the other hand, it is believed that because he is a worker nightclub, he has to speak badly to the people who are educated. Anyway, I would avoid entering this disco. Moreover, they recommended that I go to Itaewon directly, implying that not letting me in was a racist deal, Itaewon is famous for foreigns or (i will want to go gangnam's zone), where all foreigners go or we must go. I suppose that if you are accompanied with a regular Korean from the place do not put any paste.

Went here for New Years with a group of five other friends. We got there early enough to make it in for the countdown. When it was our turn to go in, the bouncers let four of my friends in, and told me and another friend "no image" and wouldn't let us in. I asked them to explain what they mean by that but they refused to give an elaborate explanation. Do they pretend that they can't speak english? Maybe. I assumed that maybe they meant that we didn't fit with the club's image, but still that's ridiculous. There wasn't even a theme to the event going on that night. I was appalled as we were all following the dress code. In fact one of my friends that was let in was wearing the SAME exact outfit as me. As a lot of others have commented, this is the most discriminating club I've ever known. After seeing and explaining what happened to the general manager, we were able to get in, and had a good time even though we missed the countdown. However, I'm never coming back here, and neither are my friends. We were all very upset and angry by the way the bouncers randomly discriminate people. Because there's no guarantee that you'll be let in, I wouldn't recommend wasting your time here.

Einer der tollsten Club in denen ich jemals war. Bin immer wieder im Octagon wenn ich mal in Seoul bin. Oft als VIP oder VVIP. Der Vorteil hier, ist dass man nicht bei dem Alkohol über den Tisch gezogen wird, da man Flaschen kriegt. Preislich ganz klar im Oberen Segment, aber was hat man in einem “Edel Club” erwartet. Es gibt eine ganz große area in der oft Electro, House oder Techno lauft und nebenan eine etwas kleinere area fur Hip Hop. Manchmal trifft man sogar auf bekanntere Koreanische Stars. Ansonsten kann ich jedem den VIP und VVIP Bereich empfehlen da man zusätzlich einen eigenen Kellner kriegt und jemanden der englisch spricht. Chauffeur service war bis jetzt immer im Preis inklusive. Naturlich kann man in Seoul auch für viel billiger - genauso gut feiern, aber ich denke das Octagon sollte man mal gesehen haben. Vor allem wenn bekanntere Koreanische oder internationale DJs da sind. Aufpassen sollte man lediglich auf die ganzen Escorts oder gold diggers die darauf warten dass man denen was ausgibt oder in den VIP Bereich holt. Also wer auf Edel Clubs und flexen steht dann eine klare Empfehlung :)

Saw tonnes of negative comments over the Club and would like to share my experience in 2016. That's kind of underlining practice for bouncers to "screen" customers, particularly for "big" players. Being one of the top Clubs in world ranking, for those who really wanted to go (or most go), the safe way is to reserve a table. Yet, be warned, it's pricey. We had 2 tables, for 14 of us, we spend ₩3.5M that night. The table charge was used on drinks and snacks. And our group was "well taken care" by their handsome customer relations staff from admission onward ☺. Worth it or not, well, I enjoyed the vibe and music there. All in all, it was a nice Korean experience. The same as most clubs, the crowd started to appear around midnight. A culture difference that worth mentioning is that, instead of asking, or flirting, whatever you name it, a guy may simply grab a girl's hand and drag her to their table or to dance. I verified this with a Korean friend and he said that's normal in a club... still aren't sure if it is so...

Ein sehr teuerer Ort um zu feiern. Für Getränke zahlt man 15 Euro mit wenig Alkohol in den Getränken. Er hat mehrere Musik Bereiche damit was für jeden dabei ist. Aber Achtung steht nicht zu lange auf den Tanzflächen denn so laut wie die Musik ist habe ich mir meinem rechten Ohr eine Taubheit zu gezogen, ganz recht nur um zu feiern habe ich nun c.a 10% hörstärke meines rechten ohres verloren. Der Club ist bis früh in den morgen offen, wir waren bis 7 Uhr morgens in dem Club. Achtung! Leute im Alter von 35+ ich habe schon gesehen wie ältere Damen und Herren den Eingang verweigert wurden wegen ihres Alters. Die Schlange bei uns hat nicht allzu lang gedauert 10 Minuten warten dann waren wir drinnen, c.a 35 Euro eintritt ist Wucher kann man aber nichts machen. Man bekommt 2 Shots geschenkt Die einen Wert von 20 Euro zusammen haben. They won't let me in because I am over 35. If so, why don't they post this age discrimination on their website instead of denying me entrance at the door. I came by myself for the first time to Seoul and I simply enjoy dancing to EDM music. However, when I told them I would get a table, they decide to let me in. I was willing to spend $660 USD, but they required me to buy 2 bottles when I don't really drink. They should have laws against this kind of behavior from clubs and treating foreigners unfairly. Maybe this age rule it is known in Korea, but I am a US citizen. I traveled all over the world and this is the first time that I've bee denied because of being not young enough. They could have simply turned a blind eye since I explained that this is my very first time in Korea. Also, I was very well dressed with a Dolce Gabbana pants/shirt along with a nice vest. Also, I had a Burberry coat on, so it was definitely not the way I was dressed.

Tried to get in and they took me and a friend out of line because we don’t fit the “image” asked to speak to a manager they claimed they don’t have one and we need to leave. This whole situation was just disgusting.

The club is racist. Period. We asked about getting and they told us to wait in line. So we did. Got to the door and the same bouncer said we couldn't get in They claimed dress code was the issue but people literally were wearing the same thing and were allowed in. And he literally just saw us. It was quite hilarious and sad to see people being plucked out of line because of the color of their skin and their accents. It's quite sad that they haven't progressed with the rest of the developed world. Truthfully this is just not a place to go simply because of what they do. I've continually have heard foreigners and natives complain but nothing has changed they're still trash. I guess I should have listened to well informed Koreans and expats that the place is trash. ‍♀️ I mean there are better clubs in the whole country anyway.

The doormen were blase. The club's overall look was nice and had kind of luxurious feel. Felt like phony glamour like a knock-off luxury handbag just by how the staff was. DJ sucked when I was there and the music was too loud and the bass was all you could hear and feel. It came to the point where many felt nauseous on the dance floor. Every worker was miserable and looked like they hated being there. Clubs I have been to in the US, South America, and Europe all had happier staff. The whole point of club like that is to give the illusion of paradise and to make you want to indulge and let go. If everyone is more pleasant to the guests even the bouncers it will make people spend more money that's simple psychology and business logic. Anyways I gave 3 stars for the look and potential.

We reserved our table two weeks in advance and had a confirmation email to prove it. However, the night we arrived (granted we did arrive 20 min late, which isn't that late), we had trouble getting in because the bouncers were rude then once we finally reached our main contact he told us our table had been cancelled because we did not confirm with him we were coming. I showed the confirmation email, which apparently meant nothing to him. I disputed the cancellation with him, since we HAD confirmed in advance, and were held up waiting for his staff to connect us with him - he had no solution and told us that he "might not be able to even get us in the club at all". Don't waste your time here.

I'm an xpat and I loved my first visit to octagon! I didn't have any issues getting in either and my cover was waved. It's a great club with GOOD MUSIC. It has a mix of hip-hop/top 40 + Edm and has different areas that allow you to have a different experience where you are. The washrooms are good and aren't grungy like other clubs in south Korea and lots of the staff speak English which is amazing, esp considering my wallet got lost that night. I got in contact with Alex from octagon and he confirmed they had found my wallet and I picked it up the following week with nothing lost. The only reason I didn't give 5/5 is because they allow smoking inside the club .. which I personally dislike

Racist, age-discriminatory club. Should get sued. Wouldn’t let 5 of us girls—fit, dressed well, hair/makeup done, in our late 20s/early 30s—into the club. 3 Asians and 2 Caucasians, but let all the Koreans behind us enter, along with an older white guy behind us in a blue adidas track jacket and ripped jeans, who claimed he didn’t speak English. They told us they wouldn’t let him in either, but then they did. They tried to get us to buy a VIP table, but when we didn’t, they refused us general entry. Should get taken out of the Lonely Planet Korea book. Don’t recommend going here.

This club is fire. Lived in states for 16 years and I gotta say I wish states have club like this. Music, ladies, everything about this club is fire. P.S - those people that couldn't get in because you are not physically attractive. They have the right to limit those people. This applies to clubs all over the world, so stop complaining.

Tried to enter with friends, bouncer took one look at my face didn't even read the ID card and told me I had the "wrong image" then pretended they couldn't speak english to explain what that meant. However they could speak enough english to try and get other foreigners in line to buy a VIP table. Absolutely digusting behaviour!

This club has an amazing sound system, and the broader layout (especially with multiple floors) is rather novel. The crowd here is looking to be seen rather than to dance or drink the night away though. If you've never been at a multi-floor or multi-room club, I'd recommend going, but otherwise I found it somewhat overhyped.

The experience was utterly disappointing and disgusting. After waiting a endless queue, one of the doorman did not let us through despite following the dress code and having valid IDs become apparently one of our friend’s image “didn’t go with the club”. It was the most unpleasant experience I have had at a club in Seoul.

Don't go here if you are not Korean. The people at the door were clearly racist towards my husband and I and wouldn't let us in due to his clothes which was a collared shirt and dress shoes while Korean people coming in and out were wearing tank tops and sneakers with no problem.

Nothing special just the usual club. EDM mix music on main dance floor with Asian style decibel levels. There is another area with hip hop music. Entrance fee 30.000 including 1 drink + 2 tequila shots. Foreigners and Korean hardly mingle and stay in their own groups.

If you want to go to a kids paradise and mess up your ears with EDM go here! This club is not special, you only hear bass because the gain is in the red, staff and crowd pushes you, too dark so you can't make eye contact and drinks are over priced. Overrated club!

這間的士高在首爾非常出名由其江南區 這裏有三大主題音樂房間 畀我享受不同音樂的人士 這裏也是江南最貴的一間的士高 但其實他們的音樂也不錯的

외국인도 많고 재밌습니다 단 초청가수가 있을때는 분위기가 어수선하니 정말 클럽을 즐기고 싶으신 분은 그때를 피해주세요

클럽을 안 좋아해서리..담배 냄새 진동.. 스피커 세미나 참석하러 갔지만 서너시간만에 담배냄새만 찌들어 나옴.

공연 보러간거라 클럽에대해서 자세히 설명은 불가하지만 너무 오랜만에 가봐서 너무 좋았습니다 ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

옥타곤은 역시 테이블을 잡고 놀아야!!! 강남최대 규모와 DJ 너무 재밌었습니다^^ 최고!!
