Dr.Mir is amazing!!! The entire crew at 18th Street Dental are awesome..professional group who are helpful with a personalized approach - always peppy and positive!! I am not fond of dentists per se and my experience in the DC area over the years has not been great until I visited 18th Street Dental. Keep up the good work!!! Recommend Dr.Mir to anyone who is afraid of dentists:)) He has a very nice way of explaining each step of the procedure and calming the nerves of any 'newbie'!:) Dr. Aly Elgeddawi performed a dental surgery on me recently. He was very patient with me - explained the process clearly. He was deft and thorough. Dr. Aly is extremely professional yet with a humane touch (which is highly important especially among dentists since they are not quite well liked - at least with folk like me who are prejudiced re dentists in general!:)) Dr.Aly's post-op calls were very encouraging and I healed as he mentioned I would. The usual post-op traumatic experience was much easier. Am very happy with the entire surgery experience. I hope I don't need another surgery but if I do I would prefer Dr.Aly to take care of the procedure. I felt very much at ease and confident I will be in good hands!

Personally, I think Dr. Hunter and the dental staff provide excellent service. I have no problems giving them 5 stars. I arrived on time for my appointment and had no wait. Dr. Hunter discusses the treatment plans with you and provides assistance in areas of concern. The cleaning was excellent and dental hygienist took care to be gentle. My only concern is the receptionist Tammy. She is rather unprofessional and lacks tack. I was unable to explain to her how my dental policy works because she was rather difficult to talk too. She cut my off several times and insisted on talking over me. I even asked to speak directly to the doctor she responded, "this is my responsibility they wont help you." She forced me to call my insurance customer service on 3 way call and have them clear up the misunderstanding. I was reluctant to return to the office after this incident but since I love Dr. Hunter I opted to continue seeing her. When I arrived at the dental office post the conversation with Tammy things were rather smooth. If you are looking for a great dentist Dr. Hunter is the person.. just pack your patience when dealing with Tammy.

I initially believed this to be a good office to do work with. Due to how our finances are done in my house, I went into the office and said "I want to pay for my complete service now. Everything that invisalign includes I want to pay for now" After months I get to my final day and paying $5,500, I get told. "Oh we didn't charge you for $650 of the final costs." Even though I said I wanted to pay for everything. So at the end of service I had to pay an extra $650 without notice due to their lack of communication. I had originally planned to do my cleanings and recommend them to others but now I will be looking elsewhere for more transparent offices and telling my friends to look elsewhere for invisalign

Dr. Amir Taha is the epitome of professional excellence and is extremely compassionate. One of my friends was in urgent need of dental care after being in dental pain for weeks and even Ubered over 2 hours to his office because he was described as gentle and genuine. After an hour in the chair, she was completely pain free and remains so til this day after a carefully done restoration. Dr. Taha is humble and altruistic; he treats his patients as if they are his family. He has my highest recommendation.

I had a fantastic experience at your office initially scheduling with Dana, she made my needs a priority by calling me to come in sooner when an appointment opened up. Dana also worked with the hygienist to get me scheduled for my 2nd appointment before the hygienist went out of the country. Then at the end there was a billing issue with my provider and she jumped on it immediately to get resolved. I really felt taken care of and am happy to say 18th Street Dental is my NEW Dental Home.

I haven’t had a dentist I’ve liked and felt comfortable at since I was a kid. 18th Street Dental changed that. On my first visit, I felt so cared for and comforted. The office is clean and cozy and everyone was so friendly! Tony, the X-ray tech, has worked there for 26yrs, which speaks volumes. I loved my hygienist who was just incredibly sweet!!! And Dr. Mir took all the time in the world to educate me on my teeth and give advice. I’ll be back!

Let me start by saying that nothing gives me more anxiety than going to the dentist. Having said that, the team at 18th Street Dental and Dr Faisal have always been so careful and easy to work with! I’ve been going there for 2 years and they’ve done a lot of dental work for me. They never rush the process and make sure I’m comfortable. Highly recommend, especially if you also don’t enjoy going to the dentist!

I have not had great experiences with front end receptionists in DC but this place is the exception! The ladies at the front desk are lovely. Dr. Mir is so pleasant and reassuring and his dental hygienist Stephen is extremely helpful and suggested that I try a fluoride film treatment for some sensitivity I have. All around great experience at this dental office.

The front desk staff were kind and courteous, and the dental hygienist was friendly and made sure that I wasn't experiencing any pain during the dental cleaning. Dr. Hunter is friendly and thorough and I was happy to have my teeth cleaned by a fellow University of Michigan alum! I'll definitely be back again, and I have recommended her to friends and family.

I haven't been to the dentist in 11 plus years due to a bad experience with the previous dentist. 18th Street Dental was recommended to me maybe 3 years ago and I've been putting it off and wish I hadn't . For the amount of work needed it went very well. I am completely satisfied. Pain free visits and I have my smile back. It's what I expect in a dentist.

I don't ever do reviews, but Dr. Mir was phenomenal. I lost one of my front teeth and came to 18th Street Dental for a second opinion. He recommended I get a crown instead of a veneer. I just got my permanent crown and I am very satisfied with it. Dr. Mir is very personable and I plan on coming to him for my future dentist appointments!

It was easy scheduling an appointment by phone and I got sufficient confirmation and reminder emails leading to my appointment. The office staff was kind and I didn't have to wait to go right into the teeth cleaning. Dr Taha provided some recommendations but did not push on any unnecessary procedures.

Dr Jailin Wang did my cleaning. She was very gentle and gave me good advice regarding possibly upgrading a permanent retainer. The office filed a pre-treatment authorization with my insurance company and that estimate should be forthcoming. I highly recommend Dr Wang and look forward to my next visit.
