They have no regard in helping people with disabilities. I help take care of my elderly father who is wheelchair bound. Parking sign request has been denied due to having parking space available in the garage. What is a family suppose to do when Wheel Chair Assessible van has a side ramp? The ramp must be go onto the sidewalk for easier load and unload. Keep in mind open parking spaces are limited and spaces between parked cars are not always large enough for a wheelchair. In addition, lifting a 200 pound man on his wheelchair is no easy task when we need to roll up from the street to the sidewalk. (Unload my wheelchair bound father through the garage is not manageable since we have to go down and up two flights of stairs.) It has been a year side I reached out to the Alderman for help. it is part of our culture that we take care of our elderly. Tell me it this is not the case Mr. Alderman. Elderly care is difficult in enough. It is a shame that you as our community leader is not mindful of our difficulties. This is such a discouragement.

What an awful alderman and office! I called with an issue that had impact on hundreds of constituents in this alderman's district, and the office staff was so off-putting and essentially blew me off. It is not a shock to me that this alderman is facing legal issues, and it appears he and his office staff could not care any less about their voters. I was told by the staff member that if someone can call their office who has a personal connection, then they would help me. Do these corrupt politicians never ever learn? You are seriously admitting to me that you will only help your constituents if I can find someone has an inside contact? This alderman deserves to join the path of Blagojevich- and I also just want to note he has equally bad hair. I know that is not the point- but seriously- has anyone noticed that corrupt politicians always have bad hair? Think of our current president. With all the money these men extort out of people, they can't spend just a little bit if that money towards more presentable hair?

It's hardly a wonder that Solis ended up in hot water with the Feds; if his attitude toward doing his job is anything like his staff's attitude toward their ward patrons, it's a miracle that anything ever gets done in the 25th ward without a snide remark, a bribe, and/ or a threat. I do not know his name, but there is one Latino gentleman working here who is kind as they come. Everyone else with whom I had the misfortune of making contact was awful, particularly Jackson. He made up a letter that I "needed" in order to get city stickers just to mess with me; when I took it to the city clerk's office, the woman behind the counter asked me why I had it. Jackson actually told me "look, you need me to write this letter for you, so if I were you, I'd check your attitude." I've witnessed a lot of rude people in my life, but he ranks fairly high. Just a completely arrogant person who was clearly bothered by being asked to do his job. Overall I am disgusted with this office.

My alderman talked to me and listened to me. Alderman Sigcho Lopez said we will push them back. He arranged that a member of his staff, Diego, would be my advocate. When I first talked to Diego, I think we both thought Diego would never be in my situation: different notion of propriety leading to different decisions and different actions. It is not just a saying tho in the alderman’s office that as a community we must find a common ground with each other. Diego found this common ground. He reached out to me. Diego pushed with me. This support gave me strength. I am writing this review 2 days later and I still have this warm glow. Strength? Warm glow? I need results you say. We all do. The strength and warm glow make it possible to deal with the present and to keep pushing.

I wrote the office then called 2 weeks later after receiving no response to report a dangerous intersection near my apartment. There’s a stop sign totally blocked by trees that I witness cars completely blowing on a daily basis. My dogs and I have come close to being run over on several occasions. There is a school right at this intersection and another across the street, and someone is going to get killed or seriously injured. I registered my complaint more than a month ago and still nothing has been done. It is a tragedy waiting to happen. They really seem to have no concerns about their residents safety. I’m ashamed to say I voted for this guy. You’d think a brand new freshman Alderman would try to do better for his constituents. Zero stars should be an option.

Went in the old office multiple time about the construction site (storage units) on blueisland and 15th street and was told someone would follow up every time such nobody did. Now I’ve sent multiple emails regarding freight trains sitting outside my build idling throughout the night and still no response. Who elected this person in office. I’ve literally have never gotten a response to anything I’ve brought to their attention. Very very unimpressed with this office. Google makes me give at least one star.

So proud to have this representation. I've called the office on different occasions and have always been called back and have had great service and response to my concerns and requests. The office fights for rights of its residents and also makes sure the city delivers the services needed. Chicago has many problems and it's wonderful when the alderman's office doesn't defend the city but help the residents get what is needed. Thank you Alderman Sigcho Lopez.

Had multiple neighbors who refused to shovel the sidewalks in front of their occupied homes. My grandmother slipped on ice twice. Asked Byron’s office for help—was turned away by the first woman. Was told by a second woman that the alderman doesn’t believe in enforcing city ordinances requiring the shoveling of snow in front of one’s property. Byron’s Twitter personality is going to get my grandmother—or another elderly person—very hurt.

New to the neighborhood have called the office a few times to address a few issues. This is just 1 of the problems I like to shop local for my groceries at casa de pueblo but feel very uncomfortable with the group of guys that loiter and drink on the daily bases across the street let's figure out a solution. Take increase in Pilsen got them a new TV

Blue Island & 18th aka the "outdoor cantina" needs to be addressed. Loitering, drinking, elote grilling, garbage, public urination inside and outside of the porta potty. Please halt the Peace In Pilsen signs Kinkos order and address, thank you.

This place is set up like one of those gas stations in a bad neighborhood where everything is behind bulletproof glass. The people who work there don't make interactions feel any less hostile either, especially Jackson.

  • Ugochukwu Okere

This is the best aldermanic office I’ve ever interacted with! Every time I come here I get great service and a welcoming team. Alexa is always hard at work helping constituents, they should honestly give her a raise.

  • mary perez

Very disappointed I had to drop off some papers to this office but apparently they have banker's or broker's hours. Even when I called no answer and their was still time on the clock.

  • Krystal Baez

Called to ask a few general questions in regards to disability parking permits. The woman on the phone was very polite and helpful to answering my questions.
