We are the proud owners of a small piece of the Amsterdam historic city center, a beautiful recently restored building with two apartments of approximately 100 m2 each at the Prinsengracht. We acquired ownership about six years ago and decided to use one of the apartments for ourselves as our Amsterdam getaway and rent out the second apartment to generate some income out of the property. A few years ago we moved to the Netherlands again as permanent residents and have settled in a more rural environment not too far from Amsterdam. We have kept the Prinsengracht property because we love the house so much and it has proven to be a very reasonable investment. We currently rent both apartments out for longer term rentals, and we have been very pleasantly and professionally assisted in the process to find tenants by Ms Roos Pham of 27Real Estate BV. She is a very knowledgeable and friendly person and has been very helpful and prompt in finding the correct long term tenants for us. She has drafted the rental agreements and has advised us, as well as departing and arriving tenants, thoroughly and appropriately. Roos’s careful attention to detail definitely contributes to a smooth and stress free experience. We can highly recommend 27House Real Estate BV and of course Ms Roos Pham in particular!

I will NOT recommend to rent from this agency. I rented one apartment in the Warmoesstraat. When I wanted to stop renting the place, I informed the landlord, she asked if I could move out 2 weeks before planned, because then she could rent the place out. Till then everything went fine... While I was almost never there (as I am an expat and traveling a lot) and took really good care of the place, there was no issues when checking out. I even got compliments how clean the place looked and how sweet that I was willing to move out earlier. After that I never heard from the landlord anymore, she kept half of my deposit because she claimed that she never asked if I could move out earlier, while I have the proof by mail and the agency in cc. I contacted her multiple times, she refused to answer her mail or pick up the phone. The agency admitted the landlord was wrong, but didn't take any action or took responsibly (the contract was made by them). Later they changed this story, they lied about the fact the new tenant was not going to rent the place anymore, and I was responsible to pay till the contract was ended, while I found out that was not the case. I never got our money back...

Stellar team of people. My girlfriend and I bought a house after corona, a difficult time to do it. 27House were very quick to set us at ease. Quick and clear communication, calm confidence earned through experience, and smart solutions that just make sense. A whatsapp group was created with me, my girlfriend, our realtor, and an office manager who helped plan viewings. Questions, quick actions, updates, appointments; all were dealt with quickly and clearly. Elwin, our realtor, advised us during viewings, and when we found our house was the one to secure a good price for us. He also recommended a very good mortgage advisor and notary. As a Dutch-English speaking couple my girlfriend sometimes doesn't receive as much communication as I do. They'd just 'talk to me in Dutch, cause it's easier.' Not with House27; all communication in the whatsapp group was done in native-level English. This showed us that any customer of House27 will be treated with the same high quality of care and professionalism.

At 27 Huis I worked with Sjoerd Kalwij, and could not give a better recommendation for either him or the rest of the team. I always felt like Sjoerd wanted the best solution for me, and was totally prepared to put in the hours to help. He put in time to help me work through one option (remortgage and renovation) that actually would have meant that 27Huis made a lot *less* money! When it came to looking at new apartments, I felt that I could really trust his opinion. He talked me out of a couple of bad decisions, and so when I found one that got the seal of approval - I could trust it. :-) I felt that he did extra homework and extra leg work to make sure that it was the right decision, and everything went smoothly. Could not recommend highly enough.

Being a first-time buyer that did not speak Dutch, 27 Huis were of utmost assistance. With a complex procedure that is normally fully in the Dutch language, it was great for me to work with someone who is used to providing their services in English. They were with me every step on the way and quickly answered any questions about the process that I had. They quickly assisted me with finding an ideal property, arranged a viewing, and advised me in regards to a bid. The bid proved to to be of a perfect amount, as it was successful and in line with the later valuation. I would gladly use 27 Huis again and recommend anyone, especially people who do not speak the Dutch language to use 27huis.

As newcomers from abroad, we learned very quickly that Amsterdam’s real estate market is very fast and highly unpredictable. When they say that they will rent out their apartment on a 'no cure no pay basis' it is NOT TRUE. Check articles 13.f and 13.g in the contract. The other agencies that I used were honest in their 'no cure, no pay' promise and didn't charge me when they failed to rent it out. 27 Huis had 4 weeks to rent out my house and brought 2 vistors to see it (neither wanted it). I posted it on facebook. Within 12 hours, I had arranged 4 viewings, 3 showed up and all 3 wanted to take it.

Called them 3 times to request their services and each time they take my name and phone number and say that they will call me back, but they never do. Finally called for the 4th and last time, they asked for me email address this time so that they can send me all th details, but of course I got nothing from them. This was really surprising given that all other real estate agents I called were happy to help me search for an apartment and were very quick to respond.

Monique was invaluable in our house buying process. We had to do a lot of arranging remotely as we were based in the UK, and Monique handled the whole process with ease, making it seamless. She was super accommodating to our unique situation, was incredibly organised, super responsive and always asked the right questions during viewings.
