I couldn't decide whether to give them 2 or 3 stars, but settled for 2. There are good points and bad points about 5 Boroughs and in all fairness I will cover the good points first. Good The staff are very friendly and helpful and, despite arriving at a busy time service was pretty prompt. I ordered the Aloha burger with chips and enjoyed both; it wasn't the best burger I've had recently, but it was pretty good, and the chips, spot on. Average My wife ordered the Brooklyn Brisket, now I can't comment on the burger myself, but my wife tells me it was pretty ordinary. In 5 Boroughs defense, I did try the Brisket and thought the meat was pretty well cooked and tasted fine, but that was all I had so I can't speak for the burger as a whole. BAD The biggest and easily most disappointing part of the visit was the Karaage Chicken as pictured, it was dry, well over cooked, it tasted burnt, literally that was all I could taste, didn't present well and, if I'm being totally fair, didn't even have much chicken. This is one of those instances I just have to ask WHY? Why, if that's the best they can do, would they even offer it? Why would the chef serve something like that up? Does he/she hate his/her job? I'm not the kind of person to complain about the food while I'm there, so after trying a couple of pieces each, while thinking it had to get better, we left the rest and lost our money on that. It was only $16, but it was overpriced to start with, and not up to scratch. If you want Karaage chicken, or any other similar chicken dish for that matter, I can highly recommend Seouful Chicken, who are just next door, and who for a few dollars more provides a far more substantial and tastier offering. If you want to try the Aloha Burger at 5 Boroughs, that I can recommend.

Great burgers, fair prices and a wide range on the menu to suit everyone. I was definitely surprised as it was my first time here but we will be going back for sure. As a Saturday night it was busy, so drinks took quite a while to come out and the food was a 30 minute wait, but upon arrival the staff let us know. It was a cold night, some outdoor heaters could make a big difference in the winter time. Not a huge problem. The staff service was friendly and attentive. The Franks red hot sauce burger was unreal, the chicken karaage had a great seasoning and was cooked perfectly. The fries were a bit soft so a slight let down, unfortunately they forgot one of our entrees but we weren’t charged for it. Overall - great experience, tasty burgers and an easy going atmosphere.

We had a very late lunch here last week. I was very decadent and had a Death by chocolate cocktail, while hubby chose a Strawberry Fields shake. My drink was so very delicious! Full of chocolate flavours – 3 different liqueurs plus chocolate sauce! His very pink shake was in a tall glass with a rim covered in sprinkles, which contained a vibrant, fruity syrup with whipped cream. I ate lightly battered snapper fish tacos, which were so tasty. The fish had a crispy coating, and a moist filling - delish. The avocado salsa was very generous, and the tortilla was soft without tasting floury. I loved it! Hubby had a Reuben on rye, with pastrami, cheese and sauerkraut. This was well-toasted, had plenty of filling and came with a Reuben dressing in a little bowl. We were both very happy. Staff were very pleasant, food came quickly (and we were happy to see that they checked our vaxx status). We will definitely go again.

Staff are super friendly and welcomed us as soon as we arrived. Once we placed our order, we didn't have to wait long for it to be brought to our table. The chicken schnitzel was juicy and a large portion. There is a good range of burgers from beef, chicken to vegetarian. They now have a cheeseburger taco and I highly recommend it. My favourite drink is the Hersey chocolate milkshake. We left well fed and very happy with our visit. The staff were always around so we could order extra drinks or dessert at anytime.

Couldn't be more impressed with the customer service. First time coming to 5 Boroughs. Maddie! True legend. Made me and my partner feel right at home. From the minute being greeted at the door walking in, the service from the lovely gentleman and female waitresses was excellent. Ordering the food which came out fairly quickly, being able to watch the basketball on big screens and very cosy atmosphere. The Americano was one of the best burgers I've had in ages. Was absolutely discussed by the service and attitude by management. Spending $300 -$400 as a table, food came out cold, entrees came out after mains (chips and onion ring). After reminding them several times* Being there 1.5hrs in still waiting on a meal.(a sandwich). Went up to staff and ask about food. Following this we where mocked at by kitchen staff and the manager. The one positive was the waitress was polite and very help in trying times. While the store manager was an embarrassment. Was really looking forward to this place as the menu reads quite well, unfortunaly both myself and the missus were left rather disappointed as the food was average if I'm being generous. On the recommendation of our server, I ordered the double cheeseburger. For a price of $17 I was expecting something special. Unfortunately what came back was fine, I was left underwhelmed, especially as the side of fries was extra. The missus's pulled pork burger lacked any real flavour or sauce. With other great options for food at a much more reasonable price don't think I'll be giving these guys another go and can't recommend other try them either.

An overcast day and a slight hangover I decided to venture to Everton Plaza’s new food precinct. Walking through what they call park lane I settled on a place called 5boroughs. The two wait staff were polite but even though the place was not yet busy they forgot to bring our menus or even set us up. Still it was a nice ambience. On reading the menu I decided to go an old favourite., the chicken parmigiana. Aside from the underside of the crumb being slightly burnt the chicken itself was beautifully cooked and the topping was delicious. The fries also very very well seasoned and with a crispy bite. Overall it was an enjoyable lunch.

Good food, reasonable prices (for these days). Read a number of bad reviews but friend demanded we go here. Glad we did. Good night and not “table turned” as I think they usually would. Understaffed and hectic Friday night. Yeah; entre came out with mains: a bit annoying but not end of the world.

My beef Burger was quite good. Rest of the table wasn’t too impressed with their meal though. Chicken burger average. Onion rings served on top of burgers were Ice cold. Got a table outside, and could smell piss all night. Must be the gutters next to the outside area. Service was good until about 8pm when it seemed all they were interested was going home. Wasn’t offered dessert which was a shame as the whole table wanted some but no staff to be seen. Could see manager knocking off happily saying goodbye to everyone. This experience was definitely a terrible reflection of the brand if anything.

5 people for dinner - service was amazing even though the restaurant was full. Got to order drinks as soon as we sat down, and the waitstaff was attentive and courteous. Food was delicious, generous portions and reasonably priced. Will definitely come again. Meny was appropriate for the style of restaurant.

Consistently delicious food including the Bronx Mac and Cheese Burger, Rustic Fries and Buffalo wings. Yesterday we taste tested the Full rack of pork ribs and bacon and cheese loaded fries. My wife and I dropped into here on a Sat evening. Place was pretty busy but still a few tables left. First time trying 5 Boroughs and we will be back. Service was quick and staff friendly. The menu had a good variety of dishes to choose from. Food arrived reasonably quickly and was definitely good enough to be coming back to try more options on the menu. My only suggestion to improve my meal would be less chips and more salad. Can recommend.

5 Boroughs CARSELDINE Went for dinner and drinks for my sons 21st. Venue was very helpful all round. We were encouraged to put up decorations and they brought the cake out when required. Food and drinks were all spot on and delicious. Venue was clean and very welcoming, and staff very friendly. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend

Absurdly overpriced, was nothing that appealed to me on the menu so I settled for a bowl of chips with aioli which cost $9.50. If my boyfriend hasn’t have already ordered I would have been able to get a lunch deal with chips, drink and some actual food for only 45 cents more a short walk away. We didn’t have a booking so they put us out the back in the alleyway. It was quite cold since it’s winter with no heater in sight. Food was great, no real service but presume because we are out the back and only phone ordering allowed. We might as well have done takeout instead of sitting here. We did our own dishes too …

Food was fairly good once it arrived. Bacon/speck was basically raw, however. Staff didn't bring napkins or cutlery. drinks took 30 minutes to arrive. The store wasn't overly busy, so no excuse really. Tables were "sticky". But honestly the simple things... napkins people!!

Waited for 45mins to 1hr which, my partner and I politely reminded the staff. We then finally got our food, we had requested for medium rare and it came well done and very chewy. Not a very pleasant experience.

We had dinner here on a Wednesday night. I changed my reservation at the last minute and requested an earlier tine. This was no problem for the staff who were very accommodating.
