"Went by tonight to cry my sorrows due to leafs loss"
I've been to 7-11 stores for 30 years in 3 countries (including this location, some years past) and for the most part, you know what to expect when you go into one. As of 2023, this is one of the worst locations I've been to. I think it's clear that within the last year or two especially, the quality control and customer service at this location have plummeted. Over that time, I've seen the same rude staff, dodgy-looking food, low standards of cleaning, and utter laziness that had gone on here. I've luckily never been present at the fights that break out here, as others report. I've just seen the aftermath, as the glass in doors and windows have frequently been broken when my partner and I come by. This is highly unusual in a fairly upscale and gentrified part of downtown Toronto—it never seems to happen to the other convenience stores in the area. The famous 24-hour schedule is part of what keeps me coming back, and tonight is the very first time we've been turned away as they were "closed for cleaning." Not for an emergency or yet another fight. Just for jobs that should have been done at off-peak hours, not on a Saturday night an hour or two before the bars get out. When we were rudely turned away to wait in the cold, it was with a large gathered group who could not get service. The last time we all stood around with no service, it was earlier, so we could at least lead the strangers to a nearby pizza place to get fresher pizza from more hygienic hands. Tonight everything else was closed, so we went home, and for good. I'll try back in a year or two when whatever current owner of this franchise ultimately fails, or when 7-11 area/ district managers ultimately yank his franchise license, as they'll have to do at some point to protect their brand. Honestly, the decline was so sudden and sharp that I suspect this franchise changed hands around the start of the pandemic, and the new owner just hired a bunch of his kids or cousins or something, rather than vetting the employees by any real performance standard. That's okay. The brand is still good, and there are at least a dozen other 7-11s downtown. These things have a way of sorting themselves out, and I'll be sure to change my review once this location has reset with a better team.
The rudest customer service you'll get, I would only go here if you're desperate. I decide to get a block of cheese and didn't realize till I got home that it was expired and moldy. Went back and even though I had a receipt they refused to do a refund or even give me another one that's not expired. I live across the street from this location so its was less then 10 mins before I went back and asked the same women that cashed me out. While she was cashing me, my Visa, Mastercard and debit card was declining and or try again. I told the women that I definitely had money in all three cards as it's a no limit black credit card and asked her to reset her machine but she refused demanding that it was my fault. All I had left on me was $100 bill and again she refused it. It like she didn't want to deal with me at all. After the 10 plus tries on my cards and proving to her that I actually have money on my cards she finally decided to reset the machine and first tap the payment went through like a charm. Walk a little further and just go to Rabbas cause this kind of customer service is just unacceptable.
I went to get a coffee last night. All of the urns, 6 or 8 of them, showed 0 minutes left on them. They had all expired after sitting there for 2 hours. There was a sign saying you could ask them to make a fresh pot. I did and they said it would be three minutes. I said okay, I'll be back in 5 minutes. I came back and ALL of the urns now showed 2 hours. It didn't occur to me that they could not have brewed that much coffee in 5 minutes. I bought my coffee and started to drink it. It was cold and stale. I realized then that they had not made ANY coffee, just changed the times on all the pots to 2 hours! I went back and told the clerk that the coffee was cold. He said he would brew a fresh pot and took it to brew. If he had really just made it he would not be making it again! This time I waited and got hot coffee. But it was weak. I guess he didn't give it enough time to brew since I was waiting. I'll never buy a coffee at 7-11 again. I can't believe they just changed the times on all the urns to 2 hours. Who knows how many times they had done that before? The coffee might be days old.

Went by tonight to cry my sorrows due to leafs loss. Young cashier assumed i was drunk/high due to the snacks i had and decided it was ok to over charge for everything. He was charging me $40 for stuff that after taxes only worked out to $29. I called him out and his response was that the system is programmed with prices. I took my stuff and went to the other gentleman at the other cash and magically his register recognized all the sales
This location is mobility accessible, however the aisle are close together so it may be difficult to turn corners. The staff are amazing and willing to assist with anything, so if you are needing assistance, they are ready to help. Dhruvil helped me today and was super. He assisted us with mobile checkout and told us about special offers. He was telling everyone that came in about great things with 7-Eleven. What a super staff person!
Bought a $75 visa gift card here. Doesn't work. It did not work right after I bought it, and the store clerk said to wait 24 hrs. Right before the 24 hr mark, somebody took all the money out. I went back to talk to the store manager, he said it's not his problem. Very rude. Another clerk told me (while manager not there) that I'm not the first one to complain about this problem, and there's a scam going on.
As a top Realtor in Yorkville I need places I can trust for family and friends. This is one of those places. Wonderful staff. Top quality. You can tell they care about the what they do. They definitely show their pride. Every time it’s fantastic to visit. I live super close by so I’m here all the time. In and out super fast. Kind people. Highly recommend. -Michael Zavarella
Today something horrible happened. I went into the store, I saw a person fighting, I was in the back watching the sniffles and I heard a detonation or gunshots, some people ran out, including me at the emergency exit. Please I ask for more security, as a person who suffers from PTSD-C I am having a bad day.
It's a quick walk from work and I can get a couple bottles of Coke Zero. It's pretty much the same as every other convenience store/depanneur/bodega you'll find. I haven't had a Slurpee in decades, but they got 'em.
Worst 7-Eleven store, probably. They don't even bother about the customers. 4 customers moved out in front of me, and the staff was just standing and talking in the corner. I'm probably never visiting here again.
This is one occassion I had bad service. Asking for help to get a bottle of coldrink at the back of the fridge and getting questioned why to the lack of customer service is appalling.
Don’t recommend for TooGoodToGo ; offered bad food such as fruit and sandwiches; yes! Uneatable with such strong bad food smell, very nasty! just have to throw them ; never come back
A very nice 7-eleven in terms of store set up. However, two nights ago I bought a medium slurpee, and later saw that they had charged me for a large one!
Very disappointing and rude behaviour from one of their employees. I will never go back. Worst customer service experience!!
Clerk refuses to sell me lighter, because I didn’t bring ID. She said a lighter is a part of cigarette.
Old, weird-tasting slushies. Their coke slushie tastes really bad. Dragon fruit was all syrupie.
The staffs are nice here, helped me registering for the points card with patiences, thank you!
Great place. The guy here Bishal was very humble and treated me very nicely.
Store clerks are always super rude. Never going here again.
Do not get pizza here unless you have a death wish.
Got a smile and a free banana …
Friendly staff well stocked store.
Worse customer experience ever !
