The food is great but my friends and I had the worst customer service experience in our entire life. We just bought our food and sat in one of the tables. We just started eating and then they just turned off the lights and nobody told us. We were amused because we are so visible to the employees and nobody bothers telling us that we need to leave. When we went outside we saw it that the light was turned again. I went back and talked to the manager I told him our disapppointment and he just said that the light will automatically turned off to get rid of their customers. Wow! what a reason! It’s so rude for him to tell me that. I told him that someone should just have told us that we need to leave because their closing than just turned off the light while we were eating! My friend saw the lady employee turned off the switch but before that one of the employees started to put the chairs on the table but he did not bother tell us that we need to leave. We can just say that the employees have no respect! No courtesy! No kindness! No customer service ethics. They need to be trained or terminated if they are not happy doing their job in.a customer service industry. They dont know how to treat us or approach us well maybe because we are asians. We are frequent customers to the company. I have been to many countries and dine in to many food chains and restaurants but I just did experience the worst customer service in my life and it happened in Los Angeles, California, USA in 85 degrees, 3377 Wilshire Blvd., CA 90401.

Without a doubt this is my favorite place to buy baked treats when I need something special and sweet (generally on impulse). My wonderful, considerate friend bought me a birthday cake from here last November and since then I simply must stop in on a weekly (ok, sometimes bi-weekly, multi-weekly?) basis in order to satiate what has been described by others as a slightly aggressive sugar habit. Luckily, their ever-changing displays of decadent bites offers an equisite and adventurous variety to choose from, made fresh daily. I would be quite surprised to find another establishment capable of enticing everyone, from the most rigidly conservative food purist to that hard to impress exotic consumer of rare and uncommon oven delicacies. I love trying new things every time I come in as well as ensuring that I buy several of my favorite regulars to take home and hold me over until my next visit. If you haven't tried 85 degrees Bakery I promise you will not be disappointed. As added protection from any guilt that may arise (due to eating desserts at 1:00 pm) the ingredients they use are high in quality and no unusual, confusing, or questionable additives are used in the making of these pure and unbelievably delicious bakes goods. If your on any sort of strict diet, this may not be the best option for you, but I don't judge! Hell, there's always some farmers market to commit to later, right?

We placed an order for the strawberry chocolate mousse cake from the Koreatown location. It placed the order, sent us a receipt and told us that it will be ready in 25 minutes. When we went into the store to pick up the cake (and looked for parking for an hour), they told us that they don't make that cake. We checked and we had been charged for the cake even though they don't make it. They did not give us another cake with the same price even after we showed them our receipt and that we have been charged. They told us to call customer service and did not refund us. When we got home and called the number on the receipt, the manager told us to come in to the Koreatown location and they will refund us the money there. When I told them that we had just been there, talked to the manager and they did not refund us even after showing the receipt they told us to call customer service and refused to give the number of customer service. When I told them that their behavior is unprofessional, they were extremely rude and hung up the phone on me. This was supposed to be a birthday cake and they completely ruined the birthday. This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my whole life. Do not believe their response to this review. I will no longer do any business with this company.

I’m writing a review that’s mostly boosted up by not only the baked goods but also the customer service I received from Ricardo (I hope I heard his name correctly over the phone) today, who worked the morning shift on 4/6/23. I had put in a delivery order the day before to be delivered the next day but it unfortunately got canceled due to a misunderstanding amongst the staff and scheduled delivery driver. Rather than leaving me hang to dry, Ricardo arranged another delivery for me and made it worth my while, making sure all my needs were met. The delivery was made successfully and all was well. He was able to turn a potentially sour experience into a happy one. I can’t speak on behalf of the entire staff and offerings from this 85C bakery location, but the customer service I received today has made me a customer who is willing to and will come back to try more baked goods.

I am regular customer. My past 2 experiences with the cashiers have been awful. They should learn customer service manner skills or go across as a Training Field trip and observe how the cashier from Starbucks and learn from them. They are Polite and if you are a regular customer they learn your name. Even at McDonalds are more polite that this awful cashier. I ask for half of my purchase to be but in a box . He did not even listen and but them a bag . When I ask can you but them in a small box he did not even listen and but in a bag. I asjed can you please but them in a small he replied rude we don’t have a small box . So I asked can you but in box. He looked he was bother and did it. It was the first time I have seen him working there. Before . I looked up he walk away. Did not asked are you going to use your app or say thank you.

This would be my go-to place for a delicious peach green tea in the morning. But then I stopped going haha I wish they were just a bit closer to the train station so that I can still make it if I am running late. The location is OK but you will have to find parking (like anywhere else you go to in LA) if you are driving. The staff is always great. No complaints. I usually get there very early like at 6:30a.m. and I have no complaints towards the staff.Everyone is doing their thing and keeping the place clean as well. The service time is not that long.Maybe like 3 minutes and also maybe because I get there so early so not that many people. The food is as any other 85 location is. Delicious. Give them a try in the mornings if you are in the area and then follow our travel vlogs on instagram @thehungrynomadz

Busy location, so get here quick if you have particular favourites! Pick up a tray, place a clean liner on it & start collecting which buns you want! Lightweight sweet breads with tons variations - my favs are the Berrytale & Cheese Buns They also have cold sections for cheesecakes, puddings & special large cakes. This location has a decently large seating section for those staying to drink (coffee or cold) and eat their goodies in house. Grateful that their convenient posting of calories for each item ~ for those (like me) that are watching Parking is limited to street public spots Download their app & sign up for membership to see specials, sales & points You can also see calories in their online nutrition section (Insta @aida.loves)

Stopped in for breakfast while staying on Koreatown. We didn't realize it before, but we ate at the 85°C in Seattle back in 2019. Both locations are excellent. I probably ate the same things as last time (creature of habit) but had zero complaints. The potato/cheese/bacon rolls were delicious, as were the chocolate cream cheese roll and the cinnamon sticks. My husband got the egg tarts (just like he did in Seattle lol) and they were on point too. We both ordered drinks, thai tea for me and a oolong milk tea for him. Its take out only due to covid so we walked the 2 blocks back to our hotel and ate in the lobby. Wish we had ordered more to go to take on the rest of our trip.

Just opened!I went and 8p on a Thursday night so maybe that's why the selection was limited. It didn't have as much variety as the other 85 degrees I've been to. The quality seemed on par with the other branches. Not sure if it's a Korean thing but they blast the music in here. This is the only 85 degrees I've been to that sure this. I don't think I'd really enjoy yelling over the noise. Parking can be challenging as it is ktown and there is a lot of people. I'll be back in a few weeks and see if anything has changed. I know it's new so they're probably still ironing out some wrinkles

  • Paul Son

Definitely, at the moment, this is our favorite Coffee shop spot. Why? First of all'cause I am in Love with the house blended coffee, the Lattes and Mocha. But what stole my heard was the bread!!! "Fresh bread!!!!" It is awesome to come every morning and find bread just taken directly from the oven. The place is always clean, and smells so good, the tables are clean. The bread display are clean, the bread display is very neat and organized. The staff is so friendly, in general, the customer service is nice. What else can I say? Ammm, I... well, my friends and I love the place.

  • The Only Real Trinity

Was waiting for my lunch next door, and saw this bakery and decided to go in to see what it was about. It was like candy to my eyes. I couldn’t decide what I wanted, because there was so much to choose from. They have sweet and they have savory. Light and decadent. I ended up getting this fluffy type strawberry shortcake doughnut. This place also has Coffees teas and more. Got back to my office and after I ate my lunch I couldn’t wait to dive into this fluffy goodness. The service was great my dessert was yummy and I can’t wait to go back to try something new.

  • Olga

This bakery is just okay. Huge plus that it's open till 10 PM on weekdays and I think till midnight on weekend, so no problem with late night cravings. Cakes and bakery items are nothing amazing, but it is not bad. Boba milk tea was a little bit too sweet and boba balls slightly mushy. Well deserved 4 star for customer service still being nice at late night. Updates: so they adjust their hours and now they are closed by 8 pm.. not so conveniente :( but pastries still good and their boba milk tea is decent

  • СРЕДИЗЕМКА

I really like the products from this establishment, today we went before closing to take desserts for the holiday, and we were very disappointed with the service of the cashier girl, she spoke with disdain and did not even pack our order - throwing bags on the table, she just left when we asked her the name of the employees, the girls cashiers denied us our request. Terrible service and attitude towards regular customers. I would not recommend anyone to come here because of the rude behavior of the staff.

  • Brian Vasquez

I have been to many, if not, ALL of the bakeries in the Koreatown area, and let me just say, 85C bakery really steps up the plate in being my number 1 bakery in town. With a variety of different styles of breads and a multitude of drinks and pastries at reasonable prices, this is perhaps the one shop you ought to only buy breads from. Their quality service and ease of operation makes this shop, one to always consider above all bakeries. You won't be disappointed.

  • Ekaterina Spiridonova

If you love sweets as much as I do try to avoid this place, because it’s really hard to pick only one-two-three items. Everything looked fresh and yummy. Pastries also disappear very quick so the earlier the better. For pastries prices vary $1-$4 A piece of Cake $3-$4 The only improvement that could be done is cleanliness of the tables, bathrooms and cafe itself. Also a homeless person walked in during my visit and the staff didn’t do anything about it...

  • Luke L

At the entrance door located at Wilshire, it is posted that free parking at the structure is offered for 30min Mon - Fri. Came on a Saturday afternoon and street parked at a rate of $0.25 per 15 minutes. pastry offering seems consistent with other locations, as well as cakes. There are about 5 tables that can seat 2-4 people. Bathroom located at the corner past all the tables. The asian guy at the register seems very friendly with a smile. No complaints.

  • Jeff Tong

It feels like quite a large 85° location and like normal the prices are quite competitive. We really liked the chocolate croissants and almond croissants. The pineapple cakes are also pretty good. I'm not so sure about their egg tarts though and their green tea was quite bitter

A friend recommended this bakery to me and I am so glad she did! They have a great selection of tasty baked goods! My favorite are the chocolate ones, so if you’re a chocolate lover, I’d suggest you give this place a try. The employees are very friendly and give really fast service! They also have good covid guidelines, like no more than 3 customers near the baked goods at a time and physical distancing while waiting in line.

  • Cynthia Cook

This was a gem I happen to come across after getting referred to it. I stopped in and ordered a breakfast croissant sandwich and it was beautifully made. It was so appoint I think I'll have to drive back out to visit this café soon. At the end of me paying for the order he handed me a almond croissant which was to die for and I'm super happy that I got to try it on the house!! Thanks for the great service I'll be back.

  • Rodica “Rachel” Carroll

Huge selection of high end Restaurant quality pastries & cakes without the price tag. The quality rivals the one in Paris or Milan. The pastries range between 1$ - 3$, & there is usually arround 20 different kinds. None of the cake slices are more than 5$. & they also make various hot/ cold coffee drinks, teas & boba drinks. They get very busy. But the staff is allways super friendly & polite, yet efficient.

  • pureum kim

Love 85 degrees! I was wondering when it would come to KTown. Now it is finally here!!The breads are cheap and delicious. Like the unique Japanese, Taiwanese, and Chinese breads. Also, the sea salt coffee and milk tea are delicious! All is good except for lack of parking and slow checkout. They should really improve the checkout line. Last time, I almost waited ten minutes! Still love you 85 degree!!

  • George Miranda

Slow service. Waited 15 minutes for a cup of iced coffee. They apparently ran out of sea salt, but didn't bother to tell me and another person who was also wondering what was taking so long. We watched the people after us get their stuff without any explanation. I got a refund and let them keep their drink. The staff are nice, but totally under trained or I experienced. Never going back here again.

  • Vanessa Paddy

This is my favorite place for coffee and cakes! Their cakes are tasty without being too sweet in the way that many American baked goods are. Their coffee has various flavors, but I’m always satisfied with their basic 85 coffee. The staff is friendly every time I’ve been; even when it’s super busy. I’ve also found their prices to be much better than Paris baguette - the other chain in the area.

  • Corey Tabor

I called and ordered a custom birthday cake on 6/22. I spent about 5 minutes on the phone explaining what I wanted (i.e. standard “happy birthday name”) and also reconfirmed the order several times. When I arrived on 6/24 to pickup the cake, there was no record of my order. This completely disrupted the birthday. This is definitely the worst customer service I’ve experienced at any 85C store.

  • Cutie Without a Care

I had a question about packaging pastries, and figured i would call around and see if I could get some help from a local bakery. I called this bakery and spoke with the kindest a friendliest young lady! She answered all of my questions and gave me all of the necessary information and advice she thought would be helpful. I am so grateful. Please keep up the great work guys!

Great place for good bread and pastries by far my preferred location. Their teas are also pretty good but lately they have been out of all my favorite items, which is very disappointing considering I traveled some for their Mushroom & Cheese Wheat bread which is now always out, I tried to settle for their Mango Panna Cotta but that was also out. I ended up walking out empty handed.

  • Monte Sky

Well-priced, tasty, and Covid-friendly! This is where I go when I want to take breakfast for my business clients! There are both sweet and savory options so it's perfect for a crowd with different tastes. I love that these pastries are all individually wrapped - a good selling point now days due to the pandemic. I've tried nearly all of them and my favorite are the taro-filled ones!

  • Findlay Gray

It's been so much fun to find different locations for this Bakery. It is one of my favorites to eat at. I could eat here everyday and never be dissatisfied. From sweet to savory to spicy this place has so many buns its hard not to spend money. The drinks are also really good. I'm always trying something different here and it's great. Always recommend to others if they see one.

  • Jay Fidelis

First time there at the suggestion of a friend. Nice little bakery, this one in the heart of koreatown on Wilshire blvd. As with any endeavor near the area, parking is a B, but speaking solely for this business, A+. Helpful and friendly service, clean and all the baked goods your heart might desire. You grab a tray, pick the items you want, then take it tilo checkout. Simple.

  • Yesenia

This location has it spot on. The pastries tasted great but the drinks were outstanding. The strawberry de leche drink actually tasted like real strawberries and was a very balanced sweet drink. The sea salt caramel coffee was great too, still tasted roasty but with just the right sweetness. Despite being packed busy with customers, their quality did not drop.

  • van pham

My husband bought a tiramisu cake for my "happy full-month" of my little boy. But this is a disappointed cake. The cocoa powder layer did not stick to the face of cake. They was broken and fall out. We had diarrhea after eating the cake. This is a disappointed experience

Friendly staff, roomy seating, large variety of coffee and tea options. They also have delicious pastries! Located close to the water, which I don't mind. Grab a drink and cross the street to enjoy the views of CA . Would definitely recommend a visit. Two thumbs up! On behalf of first res ponders, we thank you!

  • Foster Weessies

I waited 15 minutes to get my drink. Employees did not seem concerned when I told them how long I had been waiting, and told me that he already made it (he had not, the unused sticker was behind the counter) . It was not particularly crowded. Food was okay, nothing special. Drink was basically all milk and ice.

  • Ryan Chang

they try to cheating for promotion. every monday they do buy one get one free drink.. last time I was 85 cafe... they promoted buy one sea salt coffee get one free. but the coffee taste very different from regular days and taste like ice water with sea salt foam... plz do not cheating customer...

  • Kerry Sempelsz

Sorry folks, but you guys didn't have a chance the moment I got here. I'm a life long 85°C, so unfortunately I was going to have a terrible experience regardless. Courtney was so nice when she was helping me, but I unfortunately just hate this family own bakery, oh well, CAN'T PLEASE EVERYBODY

  • Gabriel True

Great pastries. Great prices. I’m deducting a star because I ordered a Thai iced coffee here, it was delicious. However they literally only put like 1/8th of the cup full of coffee and then the rest is ice. They blend it to make it look like more coffee. The thing was gone in three sips. :(

  • Hashim A

I always wanted to try this place, keep passing buy, today at 6:51, pushed the door and came in, the door was open. I didn't look to see the store hours. When one of the staff saw me she said they are not open yet and ask me to leave. It is there mistake not locking the door, completely in.

  • dawid lee

the bread here is great. i highly recommend. but the cake i tried looks good but tasted so-so. tried the slice first before you buy the $33 cakes. and mango slush i got, they put too much water or ice. maybe it was a mistake, but i will not buy again the cakes and the slushes.

  • Guia Torres

i love 85c! but this location seems dated... needs a fix from the bread display case and the whole aesthetic of the place compared to most 85c I've been into. but the bread and pastries are still so good. the salted carmel drink is good too. it needs more seating are.

  • Antonio G

My favorite things at 85C are the iced jasmine green tea and the cheese tarts. They never disappoint and for me the prices are pretty decent. The pies or cakes they have in the fridges could be better though it seems like they’re very light and airy instead of dense.

  • Sierra D

Absolutely delicious. Some of the best bread I've ever tasted! It took a little while to get the drinks we ordered, but so long as youre a little patient, I didn't mind. Drinks were tasty, bread was tasty, staff was friendly, all in all well worth a visit!

  • Ryant Takai

Happen to stop by here on my way to Dr.s appointment and usually go to the one near me in Gardena. This location is equally good as the one I frequent. Excellent pastries and coffees hot or cold. They offer a large variety in deserts and custom cakes too!

  • Cindy Zhou

Update: they open at 8:00, but when i went there, they said the egg tarts won’t be ready until 9:00….. thus 1 star off Lovely bakery shop, i love their egg tart, although not so healthy if you consume too much. They offer a variety of pastries and cakes.

  • bhbae1

Clean bakery place. They are also fast in check out and making drinks. Parking is validated for half an hour in the parking lot around the corner. Only negative thing was that staffs working in the drink didn’t wear hygiene gloves but just bare hands.

  • Mitchell Wapner

This place is only a few blocks from my house, which is both a good and bad thing. It's good because their sweets are great, especially the chocolate cookie bread. The bad thing is that I can run over as soon as I'm having any type of craving.

  • Natalya B

Great prices. Fresh sweet and savory pastries. Also ordered a strawberry milk tea with coffee jelly - refreshing. They have boba, too. You need to remember to ask for light ice or sugar (no prompt). They have a point system, too. Kind staff.

  • Jacob Frey

Absolutely love this place. The pastries can be hit or miss sometimes. But they have a great selection and there's always something new to try. However the best thing is actually their sea salt coffee. Try it once and you'll get addicted.

  • Pruksapan Bantawtook

The cakes are so good. The cream is not too heavy. Most importantly, they are not too sweet! The coffee is nice too. Mostly, people buy takeaways. There are some tables and chairs for you to eat, but the atmosphere is not that pleasant.

  • A 2

It was tasty for sure. I got a Brioche (most popular) and I like how they display ingredients next to the food. If you have allergies or eating preferences it makes it easy. I had this thing with mushrooms and it was really good!

  • Cherry Shen

Authentic Taiwanese bakery! Price is amazing ($2-$3). Great selection of egg tarts specifically. Easily beat the Korean bakery around the corner especially with the price being half of other places. Nice dine in seating too

  • Sparky

Was end of the day, so inventory was obviously smaller, but still a decent selection. Be sure when clarifying an allergy. I was told one thing, but the card ingredients label said differently. Everything was delicious!!!

  • Simon Hwang

Affordable, great selection, tastes amazing. Koreatown has a million cafes and the pastries here are priced the best. Milk tea was great on a hot day. Although it’s basic, I love the brioche here. Goes great with coffee.

  • John Anderson

Great items at a great price - this delivers on the East Asian bakery experience like in Korea and Taiwan. The aussie meat pie was next-level. The rose tea latte and sea salt caramel latte are both extremely delicious

  • Michael Lee-Chang

A great bakery for coffee, cake, tea, and bread. The tables and seats are sometimes forgotten to be cleaned, so they're a bit dirty. The "promotion cups" that they give when you spend over $20 are always out of stock.

  • H K

Very popular place. Love that they have a separate line for people who are just buying drinks. Otherwise it would be a long wait. 85cent Mondays are here at this location now. Cant beat that! Im there every Monday

  • Mayumi Arai EXP Realty

I went to buy a moon cake. The quality is good but they are pricey. Among new items, I like curry bread. In general, the breads of this franchise have high calories because using a lot of butters or alternatives.

  • Vintage Finds

Came there to redeem my free drink once i downloaded the app. Customer service was great and their pastries were alot fresher. Will def go back and try their other pastries as there is alot to choose from.

  • Salty

One of the best bakeries I’ve been to in my entire life. Although it’s a chain bakery, the pastries were 10/10. I personally recommend getting the sugared cream cheese brioche. (Prices are fair too)

  • Tania G

Yummy treats!!! We had the mango cake thingy and black forest cake. Also tried the egg tea latte or whatever. Everything was good!! Service was quick. They seemed busy but lobby was a little messy

  • Claudia Acevedo

My favorite dessert: berry tale. Favorite drink: iced jasmine green tea sea salt. I always come here for a quick, satisfying dessert. Not over-priced and quality of the bread is top notch.

  • Mi T

The place is dog friendly. The most impressed things was they put blind down while cleaning the window outside. So, customers in the store did not notice the cleaning while they're eating.

  • Dan Jamil

Cheese guava croissant was good.... Cafe latte was bad. Too much milk and espresso tastes unusual. However they did kindly accommodate me and remake my coffee but did not taste any better.

  • Jose Arevalo

It's alright, not my thing... my son wanted some sweets...

Delicious, affordable snacks and drinks!! I mostly tried their savory snacks (like the croquettes) and they were so good! They have Thai Iced tea in big bottles too, perfect to take home.

  • k Luvy

Just too sweet, no flavor. No variety selection of bread or pastry. Cashier answered my question insincerely and only nodded. A skinny, glasses-wearing boy has no manners Never come back

  • Kirt Kingzett

I really like this bakery. Some of itself serve but they've got amazing baked goods. I got a couple for my friend's birthday there They were light airy and very tasty!

  • Camilla Elizabeth Gonçalves

Unfortunately this store is not recommended. Too dirty, restroom smells so bad, coffee is tasteless and I got a piece of dirt in my mushroom and cheese pastry.

  • Ariana Rivers

Yummy desserts! Must must must try - even if you just park on the side and have someone run in. Get these! I had a tiramisu and my mom the red velvet cake.

  • Melody_mm

Sea salt and 85 degrees coffees are awesome! But the parking is horrible. Be careful with the parking guy. He said he is helping you but collecting money.

  • MaiLia

Beautiful bakery goods & great prices! Great place to sit with friends and have coffee and freshly baked goods. Love the variety! Many amazing options!

  • Carol Aileen

Customer service was awesome! Don't get me started with the pastries! Very delicious, I bought quite a few and froze them since I'm not from the area.

  • Whisp Hei

I really do enjoy the food and drink here but the cashiers (Especially a boy w/ glasses) need to be retrained in their customer service attitudes.

  • Radwan Takroni

Visited the place with my family and had a wonderful time trying different types of dessert amd coffee ☕ Would definitely come back again!
