Horrible school. I’ve contacted them multiple times regarding the noise complaints I’ve had with their students and they seem to have done nothing about it. AY Jackson S.S please do something about your students blasting music during lunch time. It’s pathetic and annoying to say the least. No one wants to hear their music. The whole neighbourhood can hear it and its bothering a lot of people. Please, especially for people who have young children, babies, and our elderly members who live near the school. Please stop this madness on behalf of the whole Glen Carin community. I will not be recommending your school in the near future to people that move here if you can’t do one simple task. Jeez, and don’t even bother calling me a KAREN. Pathetic!!

I had a horrible time here. I moved from another country and this is the first school I've attended in Canada however the people here aren't very welcoming. The building is small and uninteresting. The high school I attending in before this had a warm atmoshpere where the 6th graders and seniors were friends. Our school looked like a mini university campus, too. The counselors were nice, at least.

This school is the worst school that I've ever been in. I've moved my entire life throughout Canada and I had high hopes for Ottawa. But I'm sad to day that out of about 10 different schools in Canada this is the worst one. The teacher's are nitpicky about the smallest details. They don't help and the other students try and make you feel unwelcomed. I honestly want to change schools.

Stay away from French Immersion here, even if your child started French in kindergarten and has won French awards in their scholastic career. The AY French department wants to prove French is difficult and will put your child(ren) through the wringer to do so. It is not worth the potential damage to their GPA.

Even though I attended for just one year at this high school, I still loved every moment of it. The teachers are nice and helpful, the guidance counsellors were always there for me. The office always helped me. Long story short, one of my best high school years. Thank you AY Jackson for such happy memories.

I go there for badminton in the evening, cleaning staff is excellent and friendly, post covid everything is locked (so you only have access to the gym bathroom for example) but that's understandable

Every school has its pros and cons but overall huge shoutout to Mr. Tarrant. He was absolutely transformational for myself and so many of my peers at the school. <3

Went there from the Chris paulin basketball tournament floor is too slippery everybody was slipping everywhere and I had to drive 50 mins to play in a bad floor

Best school ever rarely any fights great teachers everything is clean tons of fun events and a lovely j crew I highly recommend this school …

terrible school, can't afford actual teachers, learned nothing, teachers do the bare minimum for you don't help at all, always picking favorites

I am Spanish and I studied at this school for one year and I had a very good experience, good activities and the people were nice with me.

Looks like a good school but I was mainly there to use the relatively newly paved parking lot to learn how to roller blade on.

Most of those reviews are inaccurate to the school's current state (Dec. 16). Good school that is under appreciated.
